The owner was very nice and helpful and gave us great information for our stay. We were there to explore the area on motorcycles and he gave us great insight on roads and places to visit.
Everything was great..
The room was amazing with the futon bed and the furniture - the shared bathroom was exceptional and the warm bath was a delight - the host was kind and so knowledgeable of the area and gave you all the information you needed.
There was nothing I didn’t like 😀
The host has been very nice and helpful with tour directions, and also helped me with preparing instant yukasoba I bought at the local 7/11. Very pleasant person.
A bit far from the main touristic attractions (25 minutes+ by bus, which arrival times are a bit random). Room was on the road side and a bit noisy; make sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
Everything.Owner was fantastic very informative. Private Onsen huge plus.Recommended for traveler’s who like to experience Japanese way of living
Nothing
Bery nice rooms, and a friendly owner. We felt really welcome.

Its location, but primarily the innkeeper. Everything about this place was charming. He greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, taking deliberate time to explain the area and its attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an opportunity to use the onsen.
I loved everything. No notes.
Unique Japanese experience, friendly owner and passionate about informing visitors of all services and sights, he was always keen to guide visitors and support enquiries.
Stairs to accommodation, hard to manage with bad knees and wearing tradional slippers as required in thr venue.
Private onsen Very kind and helpful host
Wai was helpful and friendly, very knowledgeable about Hakone, he gave great recommendations. It was a great experience staying in a traditional Japanese Inn, with a lovely onsen.
The owner was super helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was very clean. It seemed like the onsen was private since we were able to use it whenever we wanted.

The very helpfull and charming host.
The innkeeper is the best. He’s caring and attentive. The room had plenty of space and the inn has it’s own onsen.
We had an amazing host in Mr Sun, who greeted us and showed us things to do. This is a ryokan with separate mens and womens onsens which are used one person at a time. Facilities were beautifully clean, and our room was traditionally styled and futons were wonderfully comfortable. Certainly worth a second stay
Nothing, it was wonderful.
We stayed at this ryokan and were delighted by our stay. The amazing owner took such delight in showing us to our room and explaining how everything worked. He truly is very proud of his inn. We arrived early and put our luggage in the lockers to the left of entrance. We enjoyed the onsen early morning and evening. Very close to bus stops and train station, in a mountainous area.It was lovely travelling by bus and train through the mountains.

I booked this hotel in April, for our stay in November. Just my husband and I for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I received confirmation from the establishment, and I paid for our stay. 2 hours before check in, while on our way to Hakone from Osaka, I received an email that our stay was cancelled. No further communication and no options given by the owner. No way to contact them. We were stranded and had to book another hotel last minute while standing in front of Odawara Castle. The absolute worst part of our trip (actually the only negative part of our entire 2 week trip in Japan). I do not recommend taking the risk of booking this location. We ended up staying at Blisstia which appears to be much nicer according to the pictures of this place anyway.
I booked here because of the reviews I had read and all of them were accurate. The owner is so sweet and knowledgable about the area and provided so many great reccomendations. I love the location, and I will absolutely be coming back. The Private Osen with the mineral waters was so relaxing. I love that they have lockers for your things so you can easily come before check in leave your large items and enjoy your day. Hakone is a very beautful area, and the small and quaint area this place is located in was lovely.
Very traditional accommodation option. The onsen (private and limited to two people) was very greatly appreciated. It allowed us to experience the onsen way of bathing without the concerns of communal bathing. The innkeeper was terrific.
As it is traditional inn with shared bathing/toileting experiences, this was a bit confronting initially.
Gerne wieder.
Eigentlich gar nichts.
The owner was so kind and gave many recommendations for food and how to best explore the area. The onsen was lovely and felt amazing after a full day of walking around.
The owner is just the nicest person you could imagine. He really makes you feel welcome and at home. The place is also great for experiencing a traditional Japanese inn. The onsen is very nice and only one person at a time is using it. We loved our stay. The location is conveniently close to train and bus station. There is also a 7/11/Lawson close by.

I loved the onsen and how helpful the host was. The rooms were clean, comfortable and traditional
The price was quite a lot, I understand the onsen is included but it seems like a huge price hike for just the onsen and traditional vibe
Very nice and welcoming owner, hotel is traditional and amazing with private onsen!
Very nice and private hotel with an onsen. The onsen was spacious enough for one person, perfect for relaxing in privacy. The room was clean and large. If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture, I highly recommend staying here. The staff were very welcoming and gave me great advice on how to spend my time in Hakone - including the best way to see everything in one day! :)
Check-in was at 16:00. I arrived about an hour early and found the door closed, which confused me at first. Fortunately, after walking around for about 10 minutes, I met a staff member who kindly explained that I had arrived too early. He showed me where I could leave my luggage, and I went for a walk around the village.
Pulitissimo, bellissima camera in stile tradizionale giapponese, oste molto accogliente e gentile.
Res
Het personeel is aardig en behulpzaam.
Tradycyjny japoński klimat, czysto i przyjemnie.
This ryokan was unforgettable! The owner was very helpful, kind, and polite. A very beautiful accommodation in the mountains, with easy access to Lake Ashi, which was 25 minutes away by bus. The onsen in the ryokan was always empty and very clean. I definitely recommend it – 10/10
Great place, great value
I love that you have your own private onsen. everything is immaculately clean. the owner is most helpful and informative in providing best places to eat, attractions, timing of buses/trains and overall everything about Hakone.
there was some road works happening at the time but the Owner did his best to make us comfortable and even upgraded our room.
Onsen with natural spring water was great
Great location, super clean, comfortable, and private. Also one of the few natural and chemical free onsen in the area! To save money, I opted for the room with a shared bathroom. I was worried the bathroom would connect two different rooms, however this is not the case. The bathrooms are in the hallway and for ladies, it is one person at a time. This made it very comfortable and stress free. Your room is completely private :) The onsens are gender separated and only party is allowed in at a time. For an incredible price, you essentially get a private onsen in a central location with great restaurants all around. There is even a delicious curry restaurant open until 11pm. Hot tea and new yukata is placed in your room nightly. I will definitely stay here every time I am in the area. The host is very helpful and knows the bus routes very well! He sets you up for success in having a wonderful time in Hakone. Please note check in time is limited to 4pm-7pm, so plan accordingly. Pictures attached on my review are of the onsen and then the shared bathroom and sink in the hallway.
N/A. Loved everything!
The owner is simply amazing and deserves a praise and a star on his own. Location is great with proximity of both busses and train but at the same time just of the main street. Authentic Rukoyan experience with tatami matts, futon beds, decor, tea and decorations. Tiny but very good onsen on the facilities. Close to convenience store, restaurants and cafes. Perfect location in the middle of Hakone park.
The beds being futons are of limited comfort.
The location was great, the owner explain information about hakone.
Very welcoming host who helped us get the most out of our time in Hakone. There are lockers to leave your suitcase if you arrive before check in, so you can get exploring. At check-in we were given a detailed map and advice on how to navigate around Hakone in the most efficient and interesting way - very easy to get around the surrounding area from Myojokan! We left at 8am on our full day there and saw everything we wanted to, while skipping lots of the crowds. Then in the evenings there is the private onsen bath, one for men and one for women, one person at a time to relax in, which was the perfect end to the day and we never had to wait. The Inn is traditional and was a delightful way to experience the local culture. Plus there's some very good restaurant options both nearby and a short train ride away, and a 7-11 just down the road. Easy to get to, easy to get around and very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone who is open to a more traditional experience and would definitely stay again, thank you! Oh, and we also definitely recommend getting the Hakone free pass! Local transport was more expensive than we thought, and it also helps you skip lines at the bigger tourist attractions not having to line up for tickets.
The onsen regenerates you!! I suggest to go at the end of the Japanese trip to relax! Once arrived the owner took the time to give us a lot of information on what to do in the area and on how to organize the tour around Hakone. Thanks a lot Mister!!
Y-san, the owner is a super- host. Exceptionally friendly and helpful in giving travel tips, he worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The town is tranquil, the location is good because you can easily travel to various places to see different views of Mt. Fuji. We also loved the natural private onsen and the fresh, clean daily yukata provided at the inn. A soothing, hot bath then sleeping on futons on tatami mat floors was the perfect way to end each day of our stay in Japan.
