Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park, Snowdonia

Excellent location for getting around the local area and not too far from the beaches for talking the dogs for walks. The lodge was dog friendly which was a must for ourselves.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Beautiful location. Very private. Great tracks in surrounding wood up to a picturesque waterfall. Lodge very comfy seating area and good kitchen. Great deck and hot tub. Very clean. Good shower rooms.

Limited kitchenware. Twin bed room very small. Both toilet seats not fitted correctly so kept sliding to one side. Sofa a bit stained. No coffee table to put drinks on.

The twin beds were a little small for comfortable nights sleep. Would be comfortable for child or small adult. I didn’t take note in the description.

The cabin was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable with everything you needed for an overnight stay. The location and environment was spectacular. The onsite restaurant was wonderful fabulous food, service and value for money would highly recommend staying. We will definitely be back in the future 🙌

The location of the site is stunning. The drive through the forest is very similar to Centre Parcs at Whinfell. The hotel itself is immaculate.

The "Cute and Cosy" is incredibly small. Despite entering ages on the Booking.com search the beds were entirely unsuitable. The twin beds are suitable for small children at best; teenage daughter ended up sleeping on the couch. The double bed is not suitable for anyone over 5 foot 8. My feet were off the end. The space around the beds is non-existent. The wardrobe in the double was unusable as the doors hit the frame. The bathroom was so small my knees hit the radiator and there is no space for towels or toiletries. Would not recommend for taller people, teens, or kids with additional needs. The caravan was not clean. The front door had a "known snag" gap above the door. Overall, not impressed. At all. Customer service not great or understanding of situation. Offered to fix issues like dirty bedding and door gap, but we couldnt stay for the 2nd night as kids were struggling due to overwhelm and lack of sleep. .

It was advertised as a Lodge but was actually a caravan.

The stay was very comfortable, everything within was clean and nice, staff were very welcoming.

The mat in the bathroom when wet smelt like dog it could be that it needs changing :( And I didn’t like that we had to pay extra charges for extra items as I feel we paid enough. I didn’t like that after a very long drive with a baby we were still expected to wait until 1500 to check in :(

Lovely quite park family friendly, very good base camp if you wanted to explore wales like we did everything is close by and everything we wanted to see was no more than a hours drive which was perfect.

Clean, good condition and nicely presented caravan, but as stated, it is compact inside. Fine for a couple of days, but if you are above average size, you may wish to find something bigger. The allocated parking space was quite short (we have a people carrier) but we were able to park in between the caravan and the road. Internet was good. Mattresses medium to soft. Private outside area with table and chairs. Well equipped inside. Towels, toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid and tea/coffee, enough for 2-3 days. Park seems quiet, and is rural, lots of trees and greenery, looks like there are opportunities for walking routes direct from the park. There is a restaurant onsite, but it's uphill from most of the accommodation. Porthmadog is approx 10 min drive away.

Communication from the holiday park was excellent! We stayed in a hide away studio cabin which was modern and beautifully maintained. The location was a perfect woodland retreat. I wish we could have stayed longer in order to have explored the beautiful woodlands and eaten in the restaurant.

Our accommodation was very difficult to find and it is worth noting there is a one way road system. We were given everything we needed to find the cabin, (link to Google Maps) however the service was not good and it wouldn’t load. Our cabin was on the road marked ‘way out’ and it would be helpful to have a sign to the cabins clearly marked.

Lovely woodland surroundings, choi d of woodland walks with waterfall viewing points. Good base for short journeys to Cricieth and Beddgelert.

Unfortunately weather was exceptionally hot and was uncomfortable to sleep, but no fault of the park.

The service and the size of the cabin was very tiny and there was no shower gel, soap, hairdryer and even the towel were torn and ripped

It would have been nice to know how small the cabin was going to be at the time of booking. It was a lot smaller than anticipated. And then just small things like, no soap in the shower, no complimentary teabags, things like that, that I just am so used to having when going away, was a a little shame

The location is incredible but the accommodation was simply too small especially without the awning, which was broken during our stay . As the wasn’t great and we had rain there wasn’t an option to sit outside at a table .

I cannot complain about this property at all. The only addition that I would suggest is soap in caravan.

The facilities in the caravan we stayed in were extremely basic, I knew it was self catering so expected to have to buy essentials which is no issue, it had stated that toilet roll and towels were provided, given we were booked in for 4 nights I'd have hoped that there was more than 4 towels (1 pp) and 1 single toilet roll, the booking never stated that that is all that would be given, seemed a bit stingy considering the amount it cost to stay. It also would have been nice to have some handsoap for guests arrival, another thing I hadn't considered bringing. (An extra bin liner would have been great too as there was literally nothing at all there)

The location was amazing, we stopped in a studio lodge forest retreat and it was perfect for out little stay

We felt that even though it is self catering a small welcome pack with a few coffee sachets and uht milk etc (like in all hotel rooms) would be perfect, all other self catering places we stopped in (Airbnb,hotels and private rent) have all had these. Also 1 toilet roll supplied is a little inadequate I'm sure it's not to expensive to just leave 2 for a 3 night stay.

I loved the location and the beautiful views and the staff were all really helpful! Unlike other holiday parks this one provided peaceful surroundings.

Its definitely more accessible for those who drive as the park is large so not easy for walking especially being on a hill.

The price for the night

Unfortunately we could only book 1 night in the hideaway as the whole park was fully booked. It is understandable why the park is so popular. The staff on arrival were very friendly and checked us in quickly with full instructions. Our hideaway accommodation was spotless. Right on the corner and elevated above the road. It was so relaxing in the peace and quiet of nature.

We had a lovely stay at Aberdunant hall holiday park. The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and wonderfully peaceful- perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and unwind in a tranquil setting. The only minor downside was that the accommodation felt a little compact. It was manageable for our family of three (two adults and a 13-year-old), but it may feel a bit tight if you're planning a longer stay or prefer more space. Overall, the stunning surroundings and peaceful atmosphere made for a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

El dia que llegamos fue, un dia inusual en esa zona , con mucho calor, fuera de lo normal. El departamento era un verdadero INFIERNO, y NO tienen aire acondicionado. Ya te avisan, solo te dan un ventilador MUY pequeño, que casi no sirve para nada. Esa noche la pasamos MUY mal, pero entiendo que fue algo atipico, ya que las siguientes noches la temperatura bajó y no tuvimos problema. Pero seria bueno que tuviesen contingencias para esas eventualidades

I would definitely not recommend this place during the summer. The cabin becomes extremely hot throughout both the day and the evening. Because you have to leave the doors open to get any ventilation, huge numbers of tiny biting flies (midges) come inside, making it very uncomfortable. The midge problem is particularly bad, and there are so many of them that it is difficult to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. This is something potential guests should be aware of before booking during the warmer months. The cabin was also not clean on arrival, as there was pet hair all over the sofa. The shower drainage was blocked, and the bathroom flooded before we had even finished our first shower. The restaurant staff were not particularly helpful and came across as rather rude towards guests. Overall, I would not recommend staying here unless you want your holiday to be more stressful than relaxing.

Fabulous lodge, both lodge and park immaculately presented. We could not fault it and will be returning this summer.

Slight teething issue on check-in but resolved within 5 minutes with warden so no complaints at all.

The park is located in a beautifully set forest close to Snowdonia. The park is well maintained, looks astonishing and is clean. The facilities are modern, comfortable and fit for families.

The location was verdant, lush greenery everywhere but private feeling once you were inside - and still close to amenities - Tesco was a 10 minute drive, Portmeirion was 25 minutes. A safe place for a single traveller, and the overall grounds were well looked after and full of areas to walk in or to explore. The staff were very welcoming and made you feel at home right from the beginning, check in was easy. They even offer an early breakfast by pre arrangement which is a nice touch. It was my first time in the area but would gladly stay again.

Location was wonderful, but bit scary in the night.

At booking.com, no where mentioned that it is camper house,we are not aware before. when we reached there then staff told us it is camper house but we have not any other option to stay. There are lacking of basic facilities as tea, coffee, milk sachet ,oil ,salt .No soap,shampoo and kitchen towels ,dish wahser and washing machine available. These are basic requirements of B& B. In the night we heard only the sound of water and cricketsand other animals,insects. No attendent or office person available after 6 pm if we need to ask something,or any help then just remember God ! very small singel beds ,no living person or kid can sleep.
