Had to leave before breakfast serves so cannot rate that. Bathroom absolutely spotless. Bedroom very quiet once flight path overhead stopped for the night. Landlord very jolly. Kindly kept my luggage for a later pick up.

Overuse dip in middle of bed, smallish towels, lots of stairs to bedroom.

Cosy pub with charm . Friendly staff and great food . Really good location for what we needed as a stopover . Very Good to have free parking . Would stay again .

The 'inn' is very central but also quiet! The room was bright, airy and comfortable! And Pat draws a mean pint of Guinness!!

The hotel has a great location, within walking distance of the center, but on a quiet and peaceful street. Everyone is extremely kind. The breakfast was great. There was internet, and for those who work online like me, there was a good and comfortable desk.

One of the women who cleaned the rooms did not use gloves - she first threw out the trash, then brought the clean towels. This is absolutely unacceptable to me. One of the lamps in the room did not work.

The stairs!

Ein in die Jahre gekommener Pub, der in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße von Richmond liegt. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr klein und renovierungsbedürftig. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber, das Frühstück okay.

Zimmer zu klein, Teppich eine Katastrophe soo dreckig. Schimmel im Bad. Dafür war der Übernachtungspreis viel zu hoch. Wir übernachten gerne in Pubs, aber ein wenig komfortabler, schöner, gepflegter darf es dann doch sein. Wir sind nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist und haben uns etwas anderes gebucht.

Das Dukes Head Inn liegt mitten in Richmond in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Der Bahnhof ist ca 10 Minuten entfernt, es gibt aber auch einen Bus (371), der nicht weit vom Pub hält. Alle vor Ort sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das englische Frühstück ist sehr gut, ebenso die Mahlzeiten im.Pub. Die Zimmer sehen viel besser aus als auf den Fotos, vor allem sind sie viel heller. Vom Pub ist es nicht weit in die Stadtmitte Richmonds und zum Fluss. Dort gibt es auch einige Restaurants mit tollem Blick auf's Wasser.

Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig, trotz überfliegender Flugzeuge an einem Tag! Die Lage für uns perfekt, Parkplatz für das Auto, nicht zu weit zur U-Bahn für die Fahrten in die City.

Gefallen ist das falsche Wort! Wir lieben kein Full English Breakfast, so war die Alternative etwas schmal, kein frisches Obst zum Beispiel, aber das ist eben England.

Mysigt klassiskt engelskt med trevliga rum ovanpå en traditionell lokal pub. Personlig service med ägaren bakom baren. God brittisk frukost.

Det går bara att checka in när puben är öppen. Är man tidig så är det svårt att bli av med packningen. Parkering i området är begränsad.

The location and size of the room

As it was a hot day there was no air con or two keys for the room

From the moment we arrived, Pat welcomed us and gave us a brief overview of everything we needed to know, the rooms are upstairs and spacious, all the handy things in the room, kettle, tea / coffee making, shower was nice and hot, its just a few minutes walk from Richmond so location is excellent and its nice and quiet around the area, great sleep and the breakfast choice and service excellent, Pat is an incredible host and pours a great pint of Guinness, need i say more. Couldnt recommend it any better. Warm and welcoming as it should be by a private owner.

The Duke is brilliant, the staff are incredible and Pat the owner is a superb host. He is friendly and you feel so welcomed. The breakfast maid was quiet , but so polite and attentive. The Full English is delish. The rooms are great and the shower refreshing and so welcome in this heat , so cold it was great. The Duke is obliging, friendly, courteous, great value, exceptional food and drink and 100% we will return. Thank you Pat and the team for a fabulous stay.

The breakfast was good and the pub atmosphere was nice.

The property is advertised as having 5 parking spaces. This is in a tiny courtyard at the back. The small brick entrance makes parking a little tricky and it depends on all guests parking carefully. Also, it means that the cars would all be blocked in. When I arrived there were only 2 cars but they were parked badly and so I had to park outside and leave early due to parking restrictions. I mentioned this to the manager but he seemed a little put out by my feedback and insisted that it was an easy fit for 5 large cars.

Exceeded my expectations, which is always pleasant. It was very comfortable and clean, and the staff extremely helpful and polite. I would certainly consider staying at the Duke on my next visit to Richmond.

Pub was 10 mins walk from the station, shops, pubs, bars etc. 10 mins walk from the river and 10 mins walk from Richmond Hill. Beautuful area. Pub meals were also very good and reasonably priced.

The pub itself and the rooms are old fashoned, tired and dated! However, it was clean and tidy and we only needed somewhere in a good location to sleep, so it wasnt a problem.

Nice spacious room. Friendly staff, led by example by the owners Patrick and Mairead. Quiet location, but close enough to the Richmond town centre. Very convenient spot to walk to Richmond Park.

Air conditioning would have been nice, but we knew that it wouldn't be there. The fan was really helpful in a rare London heatwave.

Hyggelig pub og kro med meget behageligt personale - man følte sig velkommen. Fik tidlig check in og fik hjælp til at bestille taxa. Dejlig morgenmad, hyggelige og rene værelser i engelsk landstil, god beliggenhed i flot del af byen tæt på forretninger og Richmond station. Nemt at komme dertil fra LHR og tæt på LON og alligevel på landet, boede der ifm Chelsea flower show og ville helt sikkert bo der igen.

The host was an engaging character all the staff we met were good people the cooked breakfast was very good excellent location for Richmond,Kew and good transport links for central London.

In my opinion the room could do with a refresher and the bed wasn’t the comfiest. In saying that I would stay again.

We had a nice airy and bright room as the sun was out. There was car parking and Pat allowed us an early check in which made our trip much easier. Staff were very friendly. The bus stop we needed was less than 10 minutes away. Breakfast was delicious, 11 am check out meant we could take it easy in the morning. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't fault the place.

Breakfast was delicious (and I have some allergies) - two hash browns and plenty of coffee. Lovely spot, good character. Has the feel of an old school Irish pub in London. Would definitely recommend. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were super nice. Food is good and beer is great! Richmond is a great location for visiting Kew gardens and Ham house and other sites and a 10 minute walk from Richmond station.

The bathroom is very tiny but manageable. There is no lift which could be a problem for some with heavy luggage.

Perfectly located, nice pub downstairs, and friendly staff. The full English breakfast was wonderful and the owners were very nice.

The beds were not comfortable (you hit the bottom of the bed when you laid down) and it was two twins when I expected a single bed. It was fine for one night.

Great little hotel in Richmond, 10-15 mins walk from the tube station. Nothing fancy, but great value for London, comfortable stay, lovely breakfast and a rare bonus of free parking. Owner and staff were very friendly, we'd definitely stay again.

The staff were wonderful and the breakfast excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and would fully recommend the Dukes Head.

A nice tidy traditional and proper Inn located in a lovely tree lineed, affulent and tranquil location. Only 10 mins walk to Richmond train station, the thames and town centre. Food was lovely at both breakfast and dinner which was home cooked and reasonably priced. The landlord Pat has owned this business for over 40 years which says it all.

Parking is a little challenging but having said that I got a space on a single yellow line which worked for me. .

Breakfast superb, fiull English or variations thereof - perfectly cooked. Main host was Pat, and I assume his missus and family. Pat is highly entertaining but at the same time very professional. The bar itself is good, with decent real ales and also very good evening meal service. Location could not be better, about 7 minute walk to the town centre and 10 to the station. The room has everything you would need with a tea/coffee option and a nice touch of a couple of biscuits. We were pleasantly surprsied to find the rooms are cleaned nightly. Other guests also very friendly at breakfast time, which gives the place a very homely feel. Overall very good vfm, excellent hosts (from Limerick), and will definitely go back.

Dodgy toilet (felt like it would collapse), but tbf, we did not ask anyone to look at it, so this is more for Pat's benefit.

This is a gem. A real local pub with great food, super accommodation and staff that give a terrific atmosphere.

Carino soggiornare in una struttura annessa a un pub tipico inglese. Personale gentile. Praticamente in centro di Richmond a pochi minuti dalla stazione.

Il bagno era è veramente troppo piccolo. Il Water era attaccato praticamente al muro,scomodissimo. Il prezzo veramente alto in rapporto alla stanza.
