This hotel has the best staff... super friendly and very helpful.
駅に近くて便利。 従業員が明るい
階段が狭い 隣近所の音が聞こえる
Lovely hotel and bar, room was lovely and it was in a good location. However what really makes this place is the staff they were brilliant, think if the dog wasn’t on a lead JJ would have stole him. Even left some items in the room by accident and they were happy to send these back to my in the post. Highly recommend
We arrived late on the day we were booked because of the weather and they were very accommodating with us. We had a lovely stay in this hotel and had a lovely time going around Richmond. Very close to the train station which is the very best thing that happened because we used the train to get in and out Richmond. We had a lovely welcome biscuit, the room was nice and comfortable enough. The staff were amazing, very friendly esp Jayjay and George and he made a really nice coffee👌 There was a complimentary continental breakfast and you can even make coffee in your own room with no extra cost. Sorry guys, we were not able to try your food but the burger looks scrumptious🤭 We will definitely book this hotel again in the future👍🙏🏻❤️
The employees were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
No negative comments.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and colourful. Great selection of complimentary coffees/teas . Pub and restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere as well.
Breakfast was tasty and fresh but service was a bit laid back bringing cooked choice. We were in a hurry so it didn't suit us. Can't complain about the choices and food, try were great.
Great location, very close to Richmond Station. Very stylish & comfortable rooms. Friendly staff & lovely breakfast.
Characterful and well modernised. Good location for transport. A popular pub with friendly helpful staff.
Location a bit noisy but that’s related to the convenient location.
Beautifully designed bedroom. Very convenient for the station. Very friendly staff.
We were lucky as we were on the top (third) floor. If we had been on the first floor, there would have been quite a lot of noise from the bar below. So good to bear in mind. Attention to small maintenance issues could be better. We had a dripping tap and the shower didn’t drain well.
The staff were amazing. So friendly. The room was very comfortable and although it was a busy pub we could not hear a thing upstairs. Breakfast was lovely.
Good location, very central. The room was fabulous, very spacious, comfortable and clean.
There wasn’t always someone on reception.
Our room was large and doa ious, clean and modern - completely surpassed our expectations
Nothing
Easy access from Richmond train station. A good vegetarian breakfast.
The bed was very hard. A curtain was hanging off its hooks making it difficult to close the curtains at night. There was mold around the bathroom window. Worst of all there was NO hot water for a shower in the morning. I wouldn't stay there again. I have been promised a refund from booking.com.
Friendly staff serving great food & drinks.
Room was a little warm during the heatwave despite aircon. Staff found a nice fan to keep us cool.
staff JJ was doing a great job and the lady in reception was very helpful as well. it was very considerate before my arrival the a/c was on.
the meal in the pub can be improve
The air con was fantastic in this hot weather, thanks!
Il personale super accogliente, stanza profumata .
Consiglierei di far pulire il condizionatore della camera
5 star service from Cairo, George and JJ. Lovely air conditioned room and delicious breakfast. Perfect location for Hampton Court Palace and Kew Gardens
Best fish and chips ever in the Uk. Can’t have gluten and dairy- yet somehow they fed me a stunning meal
George, Kairo, Christina and JJ were all very welcoming and helpful. Kiro made an excellent espresso martini. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. Great location to explore Richmond
We were visiting friends in Richmond and chose the orange tree because it was 3minutes from the station and had some good reviews. It is a pub as well as hotel and that combination was great for us. The room facilities were good with a complimentary continental breakfast and complimentary coffees topping off our 2 days superbly. All the staff were friendly, polite and obliging. The location was ideal for shops , pubs , restaurants and Kew Gardens. The bus system is fantastic and was made better because we could use our bus passes from home 😃 If we go to Richmond again we’ll stay at the orange tree.
Great pub with rooms ! Very nice staff and top location
Really nice experience, good food, good service. Izaak was very nice and careful to our requests
Super Lage, zentral in Richmond. Tolles Zimmer!

Love The Orange Tree, especially for watching rugby. No rugby today but got served by JJ. Efficient, polite and massively attentive. Great Guy. Brett Cayman Islands
staff brilliant, room lovely, breakfast fab
everything was perfect
Spacious room, excellent presentation, spotlessly clean. Wonderful friendly staff, great breakfast.
Nothing, it was beyond our expectations
There wasn’t much to NOT like. Our room was wonderful, had AC, and was quiet. The quiet aspect was important bc England was playing in World Cup, the downstairs pub, and the streets were full of celebrations until early morning!! The guys running the pub and hotel offered THE BEST hospitality!!! From the very first meeting to our final departure, they were awesome!!! We even extended our stay a night bc The Orange Tree and Richmond were so fun.

Breakfast was delicious
Free water in the room
Well located pub with rooms. Quiet (despite central location), spacious and immaculately clean twin room with large bathroom. Comfy beds, good quality bedding and toiletries. Fantastic air con. Pub nice too with pleasant front terrace. Good breakfast and super friendly, helpful staff.
Minor issue with shower, which staff were sorting.
Room had everything we needed and JJ who welcomed us had made sure the aircon was cool enough on a hot afternoon. Everyone we dealt with were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Although a busy pub, the room was very quiet for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was also very good.
A warm friendly welcome. A large spacious room with good air-con! Comfortable beds.
Very nice staff and perfect room for our night stay. We were able to have a later check out time as well!
Great location. Really friendly staff(particularly JJ)! Fab breakfast.
Nothing.
Great central location and friendly staff
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night due to the pub participants downstairs
Gorgeous room - very tastefully decorated. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful
Breakfast could have been a little bit better - the selection was not great. But this is a minor thing
Room was clean, comfortable
The heated mirror wasn't great during a heatwave, and the AC was struggling.
Great location to enjoy Richmond & perfect to travel into London. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our bigger boutique room was spacious with really comfy bed, plenty of treats if we needed them! We will go back again!
Centraal, gezellig
Traag werkend toilet. Was ok maar ging net
This place is a gem. Great location, can easily walk the area…to Kew Gardens or the Ted Lasso locations and the river. Very comfortable room with much appreciated a/c during the heatwave. And the staff is the best! So helpful, whether it’s getting a taxi or extra tutoring on the tv 😜 I only had the continental breakfast but it was fresh and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely clean comfortable hotel. Good breakfast & Ideal location for us & Twickenham.
Air conditioning wasn’t that great in our room. Couldn’t get it below 19’ which we certainly needed at our time of stay. Didn’t appreciate a phone call to say that we didn’t pay £1.60 for a packet of smarties even though we payed £660 for the accommodation & breakfast & also put a lot of money over the bar the previous day.
Can’t fault the hotel! Great location, staff, value for money and facilities! Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location for getting the train to twickenham
This is the second time we’ve stayed at here, the first was over 8 years ago, and it was as lovely as we remember. Our room was spacious and comfortable, even though it was directly above the pub, we didn’t find noise to be an issue. We both slept really well, shower facilities were great. The breakfast was amazing, great quality of food and staff really pleasant, friendly and attentive. We couldn’t have had a nicer stay
My family and I came for dinner on Father's day.We had a burger from the world cup menu.I can't recommend the food enough, it was the best burger I have ever tasted. It was a lovely experience, Alex the manager provided us with an excellent service. We will definitely be coming back.
All went well, check in was simple. Room was excellent. Staff friendly. The place was clean and very appealing.
If someone orders a cooked breakfast, get the condiments on the table before the food arrives.
I have stayed here several times. Pretty rooms, lovely staff, good food.
Fab stay in Orange Tree in Richmond last week, went with my 2 sons. The located was perfect for us the staff were so, so helpful and friendly. Room was spotless and housekeeping came each day. The complementary continental breakfast was such a nice touch. Fresh fruit, pastries and bread tea & coffee. Perfect to set u up b4 heading into London Central for a days exploring. Would go back again.
Came here with my daughter looking for a quintessential English pub stay with a bit of Ted Lasso vibe thrown in. It was perfect. Our room was so cute and the bed was so comfortable. Our plane arrived at 5:30am so we arrived at the hotel at 7am expecting to be able to drop our bags and then walk around like jet-lagged zombies until our room was ready. Instead we were offered a temporary room to shower and freshen up in and a complimentary breakfast. I can’t tell you how much this was appreciated after our 25 hour journey from Australia. From then on, our experience was faultless. Our room was clean and really cute. The bed was deliciously comfortable and the location was perfect. Richmond is just the cutest little borough and it was so easy to catch a train into London from the hotel. Highly recommend.
The stuff
It was way too expensive for the room
Close to the station and Old Deer Park
It was a little pricey and the windows did leak sound through from the pub downstairs
Everything was perfect.

This pub with rooms has very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The main benefit is the closeness to the underground station. Lovely surprise to get a complimentary continental breakfast!
Das Hotel ist ca. 2 Minuten entfernt vom Bahnhof.
Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer sind relativ klein. Im Frühstückspreis ist kein Aufschnitt oder Käse enthalten und Butter gab es auch nicht.
This is our 4 th visit . The staff, rooms, closeness to station that gets you straight into central London, lovely walks along the river. What’s not to like. I recommend this place to anyone that’s asks for a good place to stay.
Location ideal, close to train and underground and bus, within walking distance from Kew Gardens, got to Heathrow Airport in an hour by public transport. Nice surroundings, close to the Thames.
Bathroom a bit cold, but found out how to regulate temperature.
We stayed in Room 12 - a truly special room. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the facilities are great and location is perfect. Couldn’t fault anything, it is a great place to stay! There were lots of people who clearly stay there regularly which proves how good it is. We will return there when next in the London area.
Nothing. It was perfect!
Comfortable room and clean bathroom. Room had everything we needed and was well laid out. Very pleasant staff who were very helpful.
Breakfast was a bit variable and while nice it would have been good to have slightly more fruit and plain yoghurt.
The room was very nice
The lady at the desk kept us waiting and then took a very long time to check us in, as she was unfamiliar with the system. After about 30+ minutes of her trying to check us in / check the room was ready we asked if we could just leave our bags and come back later as we were only there for the afternoon. I felt that her response to this was unwarranted and a little rude especially considering the cost of the booking.
Location and cleanses
Nothing
The location. The building is lovely and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for a night and the room was very comfortable. The only slight issue was the noise from the air con. We were in room 7. But overall very comfortable and the products in the room were lovely. The breakfast was fantastic. Would highly recommend
Friendly staff, good breakfast
Although rooms very boutique and niche some rooms having a roll top bath - we found that our room was really warm being on the top floor - ac was poor so on warm day the room is uncomfortably warm - if your an early riser you can listen to all the planes arriving/departing Heathrow at 6am every day all day till 10pm - On busier weekends there is quite lot of noise outside the premises yes it is a pub - Breakfast was mediocre and service slow. Apart from the location I don’t have many positives about our stay.
The orange tree is a gem of a hotel in the beautiful Richmond district of London at a great price. It is perfectly placed across the road from Richmond station and just a short distance from Kew gardens. The staff were amazing, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble, which really makes for a great stay. The room was clean, beautifully furnished and very spacious. I’ve stayed in many hotels in London over the years and space is costly, so what a luxury to have a room so comfortable. The facilities within the room were great, TV great, radio great, mini bar great and the shower was fantastic. It's close to a main road, but to be honest there was little to no noise. I only got the opportunity to have breakfast at the hotel, but again great. I absolutely loved my stay, thanks guys.
The room was beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was outstanding!
Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice pub. Beer garden out front.
Thin walls can hear everything next door are saying. Loud music from below till midnight. Lady on check in didn’t really know how to work the check in system. Hotel tried to charge extra the morning of but when we rang up they honoured orginal price. Toilet sometimes flushes sometimes doesn’t. Theatre getting done up so work starts outside at 7am.
The room was really good! I really appreciate the Nespresso coffee machine and breakfast. But by far the best part is to have a pub behind!!
Great experience. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Comfy room. Quality breakfast. Best stay I have had for years :)
To be honest I can’t think about anything.
The staff were extra friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Perfectly located being just across the road from Richmond station.
At breakfast, it was a little annoying having the TV really loud and music playing in the background, perhaps use sub titles on the TV to make breakfast a little more relaxing, but I recognise that's being really picky! That aside, we would not hesitate to recommend.
Room 11 - in the turret and absolutely perfect
64 stairs up to room 11.
I am a keen returning guest. The rooms are all exquisite and super clean. The staff are very friendly and professional.
First time staying at The Orange Tree in Richmond. Absolutely great stay. Staff (particularly Ethan) were extremely helpful and engaging. Great value for money. The room was spotlessly clean, very quiet and the bed was really, really comfortable. Breakfast was superb. I’d recommend the French Toast! Good pub atmosphere in the main bar/lounge. Only 2 mins from Richmond train station and, for those going to Richmond Theatre, it’s only about 4 mins walk; so great spot. If you’re planning to stay in Richmond, the Orange Tree is our recommendation to you
Clean, comfortable and great location. The barman (JJ, I think) was very welcoming and helpful on arrival, and Ethan was great in the morning - thank you.
Some traffic noise but not a big issue
Location was great nice pub
Room was quite small planes noisy in the morning
Very Friendly staff
Full of character and great location
Absolutely loved our hotel stay. Great location, fabulous staff and very comfortable rooms. Looking forward to staying here again soon as it is great value. Parked in Deer Park which was a quick walk to the hotel. Thank you
the room, staff and food was excellent from start to finish
we liked everything
L'edificio, la camera e il pub sotto
Nulla di spiacevole
We love the orange Tree. Stayed here coming and going on our trip. Cozy, comfy and clean. Great food and atmosphere in the pub. Thank you Alex for taking such good care of us.
Location, excellent breakfast
No hot water the morning we left. Managers response, oh really? Yes, the waitress passed on our & other rooms complaints to you when I was there! Yeah, but I’ve turned it on now. Well that’s a bit late. And I was very courteous about the issue & wasn’t the end of the world for us. But your flippant attitude & failure to apologise was unexceptable! You were lovely when all was well but the true character comes out when things aren’t right, which is inevitable at some stage
Location was amazing
Stairs
Love this property and it’s really beautifully decorated. It’s very welcoming and it’s a good location for my office in London. It’s also a good value
Good location in the town centre very close to the railway station which is convenient for travellers arriving by rail. As with the previous Youngs pubhotel we had stayed at, the rooms were very well equipped, and here they were spacious, mine in particular was almost a suite with a sofa area around a coffee table and window seats as well as a desk and hot drink making area with a a Nespresso coffee machine. It was almost a pity that we did not spend more time in the room. We did not eat dinner here this time, but have done so previously and food and service was good. Breakfast was included and was of good quality, and we were given a bit of extra time to finish breakfast before retrieving our luggage from the room, which took us beyond the official checkout-the extra time was appreciated.
Due to the location above a busy bar in the town centre there was some noise until around midnight when the pub and surrounding establishments closed, but it didn't really bother us too much. Bacon in the breakfast was a little too crisp.
We stayed for 2 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. We received a warm welcome and all staff were efficient displaying a comfortable level of friendliness. The room we had was delightful, spacious and spotlessly clean. We would defiantly stay again next time we are in the area.
Great location for Old Deer Park. Great bed

The staff were outstanding. So helpful and friendly.
Super little hotel. Stayed there several times and is now our 'go to' hotel, whether we're staying around Richmond or if we are busy in central London. It is so well situated - just a stone's throw from Richmond station with excellent links into London (or towards Windsor, etc). We had a fantastic twin room on the first floor, spacious, clean and fresh with all the amenities one needs and honesty bar. This room had a walk in shower which was preferable for us (we have had rooms with a bath, equally nice). Bathroom was spotless with good, full sized bottles of toiletries and nice, good sized bath towels! Though the hotel is over the pub, you can't really hear pub noises and it's no bother. All the staff are excellent - very welcoming, super helpful and friendly and very accommodating. A pleasure to deal with. We always enjoy our stays there and look forward to the next one in the not too distant future. Thank you to all at the Orange Tree
Everything great location excellent staff
everything that ine can ask for , close to the train, generous rooms, fun location…
Our room faced the street and the noise of the street was tolerable but not enjoyable. Not sure how is in summer when is the garden underneath more frequented.
Room very comfortable and staff were helpful
Quite noisy in the bar but that because it was busy which is a good sign - room was quite though
We had a very easy and relaxing stay here. The well decorated room was a good size and I appreciated the bath. The room was quiet and very good value. Location was great as very close to trains, tube and buses.
