The room only

The evening meal, was awful we could hardly eat it closed kitchen early without telling anyone the breakfast was the worst We have ever had, would not be recomming to any one, felt ill for the rest of the day

The room and hotel was good but .......

Decorators painting the windows of the bathroom and bedroom. We should have known before hand so we had the option to not stay. Very poor show. We booked hotel as a reasonable check out time but was wasted as builders sanding our windows at 8am when having a shower is not good a) Privacy issue b) Noise issue You could have done better. Refund ?

Loved the location, the size of the room, the room furnishings and the bedding. The management (husband and wife team) were lovely to interact with and very helpful. Their staff on the other hand were not as helpful.

The pubs closing hours did not align with what was posted and on two of our three nights' accommodation, we found the pub closed for our enjoyment. If it said closing was 11pm found the place closed at 10:15pm etc. Food was not available as advertised due to the early closing and kitchen closed at least 45 minutes to 1 hour earlier than stated. We were forced to run across the street and attempt takeaway from the pizza place who went above and beyond to accommodate us (even provided us cutlery and told us to simply drop off the next day. Customer service by the staff could be improved.

Thought the guy who told me where the room was just went through the motions, normally you would be shown to your room, he just said where to go , £135 for one night and not even a cheap biscuit in the coffee and tea rack, this is just another run of the mill " Olde worlde " , bit of an excuse to give a under average place to stay a kudos

The barman was fantastic, great laugh and very welcoming - credit to the place!

Shame from the bathroom it’s not modern,paint the walls white get rid of the dark furniture the floor boards creek need 2 chairs and a fridge there is space for both, you have absolutely lovely helpful staff

Loved our room, it was super cosy and exactly what we were looking for for a 2 night stay. Bathroom was super modern and really added to the room. Loved how central to Knutsford the pub is and loved wandering around.

Breakfast is on pre-order & we forgot to pre order breakfast on our second day (totally our fault!) but it meant we missed out so it would be nice to be able to order on the morning of.

Property is in a fantastic location

We were woken up at 4am by a couple in the room above and could not get back to sleep. We were also limited to just one drink each at breakfast, which was disappointing

Excellent location in the centre of Knutsford close to Tatton Park, restaurants, bars and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable.

There is no onsite parking but that’s to be expected for an Inn in the centre of an old market town like Knutsford. However, parking nearby in the car park or street was easy to do.

Location fab on the high st. Dog friendly and only extra 15 pounds for 2 dogs. Breakfast amazing just had to provide details of what you want previous day.

Rooms were warm however fan provided. Although it didnt seem to produce much breeze thankfully we had also taken our own.

Pillows were very lumpy. Our room was up two flights of tight stairs which wasn’t ideal with an elderly, ’less mobile’ person and suitcases. Was not informed that we had to ‘pre-book’ breakfast. No parking on site, so had to walk from local council carpark with all our luggage.

The location in central Knutsford is perfect. The bedrooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. They are sumptious, cosy and very comfortable beds and bedding.

There was no kettle, instead a coffee machine which doesn't give boiling water for good tea. Strangely there was only cranberry tea and some milk capsules were old and empty. Not a fan of small cups and saucer was chipped. Not having a good cuppa in the morning is a let down. Despite the lovely room, the pictures were covered in thick dust. Breakfast was disappointing. We were advised breakfast was only 8-9am, quite early for a Sunday. We pre-ordered which is fine but then were sat waiting a long time. I had a breakfast roll (bacon and eggs), the roll was so toasted/oven baked, it was very dry. I also think it weird that it was tea or juice. The menu has no heathy options other than a vegan full english.

Location is fantastic, rooms are of a good size.

Due to very hot weather the room was very hot at night even with a fan. Unable to open the sash windows very much.

Good location and staff were friendly and compliant. We requested a fan which they brought it right away.

The weekend was one of the hottest of the year so that didn’t help. The room was too hot and retained the heat despite a dip in temperature later in the evening. The window only opened slightly, the cupboards were dusty, the bed sheets had stains on them and there were no hangers for our clothes. Short on time I called the pubs number as we were out when they opened. I called twice but no answer and messaged via booking.com about moving rooms but no answer.

Rooms no aircon so extremely hot even with two fans. The hotel is in an older building so the floor boards are all uneven and noisy - in aware this jsnt an easy fix .. but the room above me moving the slightest part woke me up And it was so hot it was almost unbearable

Door to bar and main exit closed when bar closed. Exit was through emergency exit which was at the bin area. Second attempt found narrow passage to street. Could have done with a short guided tour at check in. No lift of course as building old so have to lug your cases up two flights.

Amazing location right on the high street. Pub downstairs is perfect we had 2 meals down there both amazing. The staff were so friendly. The rooms were modern and the beds were so comfortable

It was a bit noisy at night as you could hear the music from downstairs, it didn’t go on too late though. The room was quite warm and no fan or aircon. I also had to ask for a hairdryer. The bathroom has mould around the door though the shower etc were new looking and spotless I think it was just an old door.

The location is great, right in the heart of the lovely town of Knutsford. The Angel is in an old historical building with loads of character. Very comfortable beds with crisp cotton sheets. Cosy and welcoming bar and restaurant. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Superb service - fabulous breakfast could not fault it.

More coat hangers in the room and some hooks by the door to hang coats up would be very helpful.

The management were exceptionally friendly and made me feel at home. Breakfast was excellent, unfortunately I have a poor appetite and couldn't eat it all,. But I'm sure most people would have loved it. My room was spotless clean and I had a great night's stay.

Check in was easy and staff were friendly. We were in one of the brand new rooms and it was lovely. The breakfast was great in the morning.

Maybe a dressing table / mirror in the room rather than just the bathroom mirror.

Booking was easy and the room was comfortable. They were fine about me travelling with a dog. The hotel is in nice old fashioned winding streets, the restaurant/pub is just downstairs, and the place is very near to Tatton Park which has free access for pedestrians, so there are all the walks you could want. Even with that closed after hours, there are nice enough green areas nearby and I found the residents friendly and keen to chat. Dog is welcome in the restaurant.

The rear access to the hotel that guests are encouraged to use is effectively round by the bins and not very salubrious. I found the dog supplement excessive at £20. The room was overheated but too noisy from traffic with the window open. Cold water took ages to run cold. There is no parking so you need to leave your car in a nearby carpark, although this is literally two minutes, and you can pay by Ringo so you can keep an eye on your time. However it does add very slightly to the stress wondering whether your car will be OK with all your travelling stuff in it (it was).

Room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Had booked the largest room only because it was the only one available but it was a real treat. Staff were extremely welcoming and accomodating. Easy to come and go as I pleased. No parking on site but reasonably priced long stay car park just a couple of minutes walk away with EV chargers. Located at the quiet end of the high street and just moments away from Tatton Park. Will very happily stay there again.

Staff were so friendly and the veggie breakfast was fantastic would have happily paid double the price. Location was great and nice to have a separate entrance to the main pub. Room was modern and amenities were a nice touch.

Uneven floor unfortunately meant the bed was on a bit of a slope and the room was a little dusty. Believe my room was in the old part of the building. Also the fire alarm went off quite early this morning which wasn’t ideal.

Great location, property retains its olde world feeling, with creaky and sloping floors which gives it character.

The room needs upgrading, the floors are extremely uneven. There were works going on inside the property and were woken at 7:30 with drilling going on along from our room.

Great location in the centre of Knutsford close to lots of local amenities. It was a good sized room and a comfortable bed.

The room was not very clean with mould and peeling paint in the bathroom and visible dust all around the edges of the room. We also had a gone off UHT milk when we made a tea from the facilities provided in the room. I know it's an old building but we were woken both nights by people walking around in the room above us with extremely creaky floorboards, around midnight and again at about 5.30am.
