Leuk oud hotel met een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Perfecte locatie.

Hele aardige mensen, leuke opzet en ambiance.

Wastafelafvoer had losse afvoerstop en daardoor geen afdekplaatje van de waterafvoer. Geeft toch gevoel dat alles wat je in de wasbak laat vallen meteen in het riool verdwijnt. Onprettig. Het bed in onze kamer (Stable 4) leek af te lopen naar het hoofdeinde. Dat slaapt slecht. Wij hebben ons kussen en hoofd op voeteneind gelegd. Dat sliep stuk beter. Misschien bed iets kantelen ivm ongelijke vloeren? Het werd erg warm op de kamer. Goed open zetten aan beide zijden.

Struttura storica in pieno centro e comoda per la stazione ferroviaria. L'architettura tudor è davvero affascinante. Il letto era molto comodo e il bagno spazioso e dotato di shampoo e balsamo. Il personale è gentile e disponibile.

Premtto che ho prenotato questa struttura per via delle ottime recensioni, quindi avevo aspettative molto alte. Il nostro soggiorno e' stato buono nel complesso, ma non eccellente. L'impatto immediato non era quello che mi aspettavo perché credevo di aver prenotato la camera delux con il baldacchino invece di un letto normale. Ci è stata comunque assegnata una camera abbastanza spaziosa. In relazione al prezzo pagato, mi aspettavo una colazione più ricca e varia e la possibilità di aprire la finestra per il ricambio d'aria, per cui due notti era il massimo che potessi resistere. Il salottino all'ingresso è la cosa che mi è piaciuta di più. La vasca da bagno non è il massimo del comfort e cosi la moquette, tutte cose che a un prezzo più contenuto non avrei sottolineato.

El personal fue muy amable. Tuve un error en mi reserva y me lo arreglaron sin ponerme ningún inconveniente. El desayuno esta genial te lo hacen en el momento. El sitio es precioso. Nuestra habitación era como una casita de muñecas. Esta muy bien ubicado.

No hay aire acondicionado solo un ventilador. Si vas en verano hace mucho calor.

Le parking est très pratique et gratuit. Je ne dirais pas que je ne l’ai pas aimé mais prudence, il est difficile techniquement pour une grosse voiture.

Very historic building which is very comfortable as a hotel. We were given a very warm welcome and our room was delightful. It had air con as opening the windows is discouraged due to their age(Tudor) breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Ein schönes altes Fachwerkhaus in idealer Lage zur Altstadt.

The staff were super welcoming and helpful. Our room (stable 8, part of the modern annexe building) was clean and comfortable, and the garden area of the property is absolutely gorgeous and a lovely place to relax. There is plenty of choice for breakfast, including vegetarian and vegan choices. I am happy to recommend House of Agnes.

Location from the train station was perfect. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Downtown Canterbury was extremely close.

This is hard, the weather hot, not warm, hot! The hotel offered a fan, which barely worked (and it should have been cleaned). We slept with all the windows open, including the front door. Seems to be a very safe neighborhood. It still was very hard to sleep, (we might have gotten a couple hours).

Schitterend oud pand met een ongelofelijke geschiedenis, prachtige oude kamer, heerlijke tuin, goed ontbijt, goede voorzieningen en vlakbij oude centrum

Niets, het hemelbed sliep weliswaar niet heel comfortabel maar de ambiance maakte alles goed.

Location is great for access to Canterbury, stable rooms are in a really nice quiet and secure garden area with easy access to the main house.. Breakfast superb and staff efficient. Really helpful staff with late arrival. Overall highly recommended.

Only slight negative was the pre-order of breakfast which I had completed as requested for both nights only to be informed late in the evening that I needed to fill in a new form as they had binned the original and the staff member was the only one who was less than pleasant probably because they were due off shift.

Very helpful staff. They even stored some cream cakes for us for a couple of hours before we left the next day. Very relaxing garden to sit in and read. Location was excellent and we enjoyed the part of the riverside walk we did which was close by.

The old inn type gated entrance under the building which they warn you about on booking.com, is very narrow but quite fun to navigate. We have a Citroën 7 seater space tourer and flipped the mirrors in to make it easier. Just take a wide turn in to the entrance to help line up straight onto entrance but suggest you check your car width if you have one of those new massive tanks!

The broken toilet flush in the shower room and the faulty soap dispenser. Also thought the breakfast was disappointing as the melon was hard and individual yogurts weren't renewed and my husband was denied baked beans when requested.

Very good cooked breakfast which was hot. As we had an early start on the Saturday the staff provided us with some food as the breakfast at 8am was too late for us. Grounds are kept tidy and it was so nice to be able to sit outside. We really appreciated the honesty bar/drinks although we did not need to use this. The staff were very helpful and had a good manner when speaking to us. Made us feel at ease.

Shame there was no air conditioning in the room but they did provide us with a fan.

Schönes historisches Anwesen mit großem, schönen Garten und praktischem Parkplatz im Hof. Sehr zentrale Lage in Canterbury trotzdem ruhig ( wir hatten ein Zimmer im Stable- Gebäude im Hinterhaus) . Das Frühstück war super und lies keine Wünsche offen.

Lovely room in former stables behind historic coaching inn. Hand for the station and historic town centre. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. The price makes it worth staying Canterbury rather than London

Thin connecting doors to next room. We both had coughs and were worried about disturbing our neighbour in adjoining room.

We had a warm , informative welcome. Staying in the stables with its little courtyard next to the lovely lawned garden was delightful. The historic city was on the doorstep. We were recommended places to visit and great places to eat. Made our stay in Canterbury wonderful.

We stayed in the Cottage which was very comfortable and homely. The self-service bar is very well stocked with a great sitting area. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. A perfect location just a few minutes walk from the centre. The parking is very welcome. We would be very happy to return here for another stay.

House of Agnes is a beautiful place. I was lucky enough to visit in a sunny day and I had the best of times in canterbury. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed super comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I left early in the morning and they were nice enough to make me a packed breakfast. The location is perfect as it is very near the main street. You have restaurants, pubs, express supermarkets and a beautiful park at a walking distance. The marlowe theater is also very easy to reach.

The bathroom fan is super loud but you can switch it off

The location was perfect for the centre of Canterbury. The room was very comfortable clean and the main building quaint in keeping with its history. The staff were very helpful and professional.The breakfast was lovely too. Overall a great place to stay.

My wife thought the toilet paper was not great quality! Perhaps ours is too expensive :) The hotel and accommodation is right next to a railway line but you barely notice. A credit to the building’s structure.

The building was very unique, very historic. Beautiful grounds. There was elements of modern meeting old. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.

My only quibble....there was a green emergency light by the room door that was very bright and interfered with our sleep. Everything else, I couldn't fault.

Our room was very spacious,good lighting,comfortable,extremely clean,located well and felt safe. The young gentleman who greeted us was attentive,polite,friendly,helpful,gave us space and provided us with all the information that we asked for.We slept well, the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was served by great staff and was cooked to perfection. We came to The House of Agnes in mid February. The grounds are beautiful and i should imagine in Spring and summer they will be flourishing.

I do not think there was anything that i did not like so all in all my stay was really lovely .

Very comfortable room in the new stable part of the house, easy access to the large and sunny garden with plenty of seats, ample tea and coffee making facilities, good honesty bar, nice breakfast, very friendly staff, charming extras like plates and cutlery for eating in the garden - a perfect place to stay in Canterbury.
