It’s worth people knowing just how basic rooms are. The bed was comfortable, staff were pleasant and helpful, location good, but the room was just bleak, looking out of a tiny window and a nearby rooftop. On a wet day it was positively depressing.
Close to everything
Parking
We like the location which was close to parking, entertainment and lots of restaurants.
Lack of hooks for towels and clothes. There were drawers under the bed but it needs more hanging space.
Super emplacement
Great location and friendly staff.
For what we paid for the room, it didn't seem too worth it. Extremely minimalist which would be justifiable at a lower price.
Loved the cleanliness, design, simplicity and "hostel" like features. It is a bit like an elevated Hostel.
I would recommend having two fridges as I think many guests were keeping breakfast food there.
Convenient. Modem. Clean.
Nothing
Excellent location and facilities. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
Lights for reading would have been helpful. An extra chair would have been appreciated.
Very comfortable. Loved the kitchen access for breakfast.

The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. Everything is walking distance. The staff was very friendly. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We didn't mind the minimalistic style or tinted glass bathroom walls. We would come back any time. We were on the 4th floor and only heard noise from the arcade once.
The bar and arcade can get noisy, even on the 4th floor. Nothing earplugs can't fix. It's really the only negative thing we can think of.
propreté
bruit et pas de stationnement
Close to all venues in city and love that I get an artist rate

Location cleanliness

The location of hotel is ideal when attending downtown events plus it’s within walking distance to waterfront. Bed is very comfortable and room is minimalist and clean.
No hairdryer in room.
Des lits confortables
Manque d ameublements. Trop de bruits à l entrée de l établissement.
Heart of downtown
Very noisy. Appreciate them trying to create their own activities ( band) and ended at decent time . But somethings are beyond their control. Bar next to them have very loud show and it ended at 2 am.
A perfectly mediocre place to stay; nothing terrible about it, but nothing to sell it on either. Pros: - Clean - Conveniently located near all the main restaurants and shopping (though mind that the street can get loud on weekends) - The next-door Dali cafe has pretty good breakfast. Cons: - Spartan minimalism, to the point where there isn’t even a secondI bedside table. If you’re sharing the bed with someone, prepare to fight over one tiny shelf and the loser will have to put their water cup on the floor. - The showers themselves are nice, but the handles are those horrible metal bricks that are not intuitive to use and uncomfortable to hold even before your hands are wet. When your solution to adjusting the temperature dial is “hold it with a towel” you’re doing something wrong. - Most hotels have a coffee machine and/or teapot in the room. Not this place, instead they have a “social lounge” where these things are shared - fair enough, nothing wrong with that on the face of it. Except the coffee machine requires a payment (usually the in-room stuff is free), there are no mugs only paper cups, and not even a single tea bag, apparently it’s bring your own! Are any of these things a deal breaker? Probably not. We spend four nights here and it was fine, we managed to use the showers, bought our own tea bags, and I didn’t even step on my water cup once! But it’s not like the cost reflects these inconveniences, you are still paying full price for a hotel room that feels kind of like sleeping in your friend’s living room. Also, for a place that calls itself the “Arts Hotel,” it really couldn’t get any more boring. The whole aesthetic can best be described as “grey minimalism.” The rooms have all the charm of your big chain Delta or Mariot, but with even less comfort. The so-called social lounge is equally boring, the only entertainment being a single tv screen, even the games are under lock and key somewhere and you need to ask for them. None of these things are a sin or a reason not to stay here, but the point is that the place does not live up to how it’s advertised. If all you care about is a bed to sleep in, then this will do just fine. But for the same price you can easily find a much more charming place to stay in Charlottetown (just don’t make our mistake of leaving booking to the last minute, which is how we ended up here), that is equally close to things and doesn’t stinge on tea!
I wish there had been a coffee pot in the room.
The room was clean and comfortable even if it was small. There wasn't a mini fridge but we could store some stuff on the second floor ! We were on the 4th floor so the noise from the live music wasn't a problem. There was always someone available at the reception so we got fresh towels really quick and easy! There wasn't a parking but the staff was helpful and the parking meters are free on the weekend so it was okay.
The hotel is over an arcade that tuns into a bar on the weekends, and there were a lot of drunk people screaming on the street, which woke me up a few times. Also, the blankets are very thin, and we had trouble turning the AC down so we were really cold at night. The bathroom door also doesn't close fully so it's not the best if you want privacy. I'm not too mad about these and I enjoyed my stay but I would only recommend it for a few nights! Also, there is a cinema there and the movie titles were a bit... Curious. We didn't visit it but the concept was surprising to us. I'm sure other people could enjoy though!
The staff were so wonderful. Karam and the young lady whose name I forgot but is studying to be a nurse were literally the only good thing about our stay.
Bathroom sink kept clogging, bathroom door doesn't reach the ceiling so you can hear and smell everything, bed was directly in front of the toilet, shower had no door or curtain so the bathroom got soaked when you showered, no tv, no iron or board, no hairdryer and barely any lighting in the main area. It was absolute not worth the $200 we spent for the night.
Excellent location! Great value.
Total lack of privacy in the bathroom.
Beau décor, chambre et lit confortables.
Chambre très petite.
It was my puppy’s first night in a hotel and the staff were great! The room was clean and modern. Great shower. Awesome location.
Free parking and a tv in the room would have been great!
Convenient location and very comfy bed
Very minimal, bathroom was part of the room basically
Location, price, comfy. Friendly. I have never stayed in a minimalist hotel before. It was interesting. No tv in the room but there is a movie theater in the basement. 2 free tickets come with your room. There is a TV room on the second floor along with a kitchen area and a refrigerator where you can label your food and put it in their refrigerator. There is a coffee machine in your kitchen where you can buy the most amazing tasting coffee. There is also a laundry room and vending machines for snacks.
No blow dryer in my bathroom. A woman needs a dryer.
Staff was great... location excellent.
When we booked we didn't realize the comfy king room was above the night club... We were lucky because the night we stayed there it was a comedian and the show ended around 10:30. That said, we could hear the jokes... The second night we were on the 4th floor which was nice a quiet.
This is a minimalist room. No TV and it was Perfect. Soo much to see and do around the location there was no need for a TV. Bed was super comfortable and we got a great sleep.
Parking was a bit of a concern as the street is very busy and there is no hotel provided parking. But once unloaded we were happy to be told of a parade next door where we could park our vehicle for the night.
The bed was really comfy and the bathroom great
We knew the room would be small and it is, but really ok for one night

The Arts Hotel is an innovative, creative boutique hotel close to the sites with friendly and helpful staff. We had a good stay here and recommended this hotel to fellow travelers.
We liked everything.
We needed a hotel for 1 night in Charlottetown. When we arrived we were notified about the concert/party that was potentially going to keep us up until 2am. This was never mentioned in my phone conversation during the booking process. The minimalist concept was conveyed but nothing about the party/concerts. This was a big surprise hidden in the fine print in the booking email we received. The location was great. Close to downtown. No parking on site, but a parking garage next door. Rooms were neat and tidy enough. The lounge was a nice thing to have to meet and hang out in but felt a bit dirty and in need of an update. The staff was friendly and did their best regarding the noise issue. I would recommend this hotel to young kids that only need a bed, but not to mature adults that need more than that.
I love that we are staying in the center of the Downtown and everything are walkable. Very convenient.
Nothing much to say.
Great location walking distance to everything you want to see in Charlottetown.
Noisy!
Excellent location, great staff, very clean.
Only disadvantage was that it is not a typical hotel, so don’t expect amenities like TV, fridge, etc in your room. Everything is in a lounge room located on the second floor - TV, kitchen etc.
The location was fantastic, walking distance to many shops , restaurants and the waterfront area . The rooms and common area are very clean and the staff were wonderful and very helpful . The beds are very comfortable.
Rooms are on the small side and could use another hanger for towels in the bathroom
Clean, modern and comfortable bed.
Room felt empty and cold. No television, coffee maker or fridge and microwave. All amenities were shared on 2nd floor common area. Cleaning staff occupied a lot of real estate in front of elevators making passing by with luggage trolley impossible.
Loved our stay! Just as advertised. Minimalist room with comfy bed. I would suggest to bring minimal luggage since rooms are not big. No parking at hotel but right next to a couple parking garage so super convenient. The hotel's location is perfect - walking distance to downtown and the waterfront. We'll be back!
Staff were amazingly helpful in suggesting sights to see in PEI
We liked the character of the property and the proximity to the event (able to walk to the location).
Nothing to mention because we liked it all.
Do not book a cozy queen room here. It it above the restaurant and bar and you can hear music vibrating through the walls. Do not book this hotel if you want a restful vacation - 2nd floor rooms are NOT OK and should NOT be sold.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything downtown. And the parking facility at the end of the block is very affordable.
The room we stayed in was tiny and would work best for a solo traveler without much luggage. We ended up using a trash can filled with ice to keep our perishable food items "refrigerated."
Great location.
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
Staff was friendly
My room was not clean. There was pet hair everywhere. Basic things such as a shower cap is not provided. Towels were noticeably worn and frayed. Room is super small and the price was not cheap for the room. There were ppl walking barefoot in the reception and the floor was all wet.
We really liked the shower.
We could not park close to the door.
No breakfast No coffee machine No television High price
Lack of usual amenities
The Arts Hotel was immaculate, from the lobby to the elevator to the room and shared lounge. The bed was comfy and the bathroom and shower were great. Our room was a small one and there was an efficient layout with a bedside table on each side and a small desk and chair. All the finishes are new and attractive. The location is great, within easy walk to Victoria Row, the Confederation Centre Art Gallery and theatre and many shops and restaurants.
There is no parking directly at the hotel, but there is a drop off zone where you can leave your car for a few minutes while you check in. There is a parking tower just steps away so the parking issue was not a problem for us. The parking was inexpensive with the overnight rate being under $9. We even spent a good deal of the afternoon of the day following our stay visiting the area and that overnight rate did not increase. There is no television in the room. We went to the shared lounge on the second floor to play a card game. There is a kitchenette there and vending machines and a laundry. The lounge is comfortable and convenient.
Location was great. Rooms were clean, bed very comfortable, shower was excellent. Very well conceived, thought out property
Great location, good value for money.
Room was over a arcade/bar that was extremely loud on Saturday night.
I loved The Arts Hotel in Charlottetown because it had such a unique boutique feel and a personality of its own. The location was perfect for exploring downtown on foot, and after all the driving and adventures around PEI, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. It wasn’t just a place to sleep — it had character, charm, and that local vibe that made the stay feel like part of the experience.
I don’t have any specific complaints about the hotel itself.
Hotel was close to everything. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean
No TV, or anything else in the room other than a bed. weird shower/bathroom was not very private.
Pas de télévision
location was excellent. the bed was super com
there could have been a bedside light
Location
Room too small
Location was convenient.
The music from the club carried up into our third floor room. That said it was done by 11 PM so we were still able to get a good night sleep.
Świetna lokalizacja w centrum miasta, w pobliżu wiele udogodnień, miła i kompetentna obsługa, bezproblemowe zameldowanie i wymeldowanie. Wygodne pokoje.
Bez zatyczek do uszu zapomnij o śnie. Chociaż jestem minimalistą to brakowało mi paru udogodnień, np. suszarki w łazience.
Nice staff
Very noisy and small
Super centralna lokalizacja, blisko do interesujących punktów w mieście, w pobliżu sklepy, restauracje, kawiarnie, bankomat. Miła i zawsze obecna obsługa recepcji. Czysto i ładnie utrzymany hotel.

Grosses Zimmer. Alles war vorhanden. Würde da wieder ein Zimmer nehmen.
Nichts, alles war i.O.
Location was great. Front desk team was very helpful with local suggestions Parking garage right next door was good value
Bed was positioned so very challenging for person sleeping by walk
The location, the cleanliness and the helpful staff.
We would have liked a fridge in the room and we had to go and ask for a hairdryer!
Great location and very helpful and courteous staff
Location
Glass slider door to bathroom was too noisy
Clean room, value for money, location
No amenities, not even a microwave to heat food, the washroom sliding door closes with a bang, toilet got clogged once, very noisy till late at night 😩
Location location location!!
Parking … hard to find public parking close but minor
Very clean. Loved the shower. The staff was very nice and helpful Great location, easy walking distance to alot of shopping and the harbor.
The view of the brick wall was a bit disappointing and very little room to squeeze between the end of the bed and the wall.
I wanted a wine glass and they were very happy to have one sent up to my room. Great service.
Close to downtown great price
No glasses in the room long lineup at check in
Very central and quiet .
Nothing
Central location very clean
Bed was a little bit hard
Downtown location is great
Nothing
Reasonably priced. Great location. Better than bandb accommodations That I have stayed in. There is a super clean lounge area with all the things you would need. Like this concept. Also, Bed was large and shower was beautiful and modern.
There is no fridge and no TV but did not need it.
Close to amenities, lovely staff, spacious room
The bathroom mirror was neat. Bed was fairly comfortable.
Homeless out front. Language barrier with the staff. Everything costs money. Very small rooms. Over priced. The phone number (seperate booking agency) tries to scam you. Overcharges and lies and states "one room left"..... When in reality the front desk staff stated they only had 6 guests. Rooms are so small, I couldn't walk around the bed without tripping as I wedged between if and the wall to get to the other side. Shower knobs were stuck on scalding hot.
Clean and a nice lounging room on the 2 floor, close to everything.
Not crazy about the glass door and walls for bathroom I’m very private
The location was perfect. We were on the side facing the street so there was a bit of noise as a fight broke out next door at the bar. No fault of the hotel.
Nothing
No tv, no microwave, no fridge, no coffee maker, no lamps, 2nd floor in the lounge two TVs that didn't work, we had to buy our coffee from a machine, most of the time coffee and tv didn't work. No cleaning services, had to ask to change our towels etc
Although there is no hotel parking, it is available near by! Great experience. I will be back.
The location was great as we could walk around the city with ease. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Wifi was excellent.
There was only one small uncomfortable wooden chair in the room (king/2guests) so one of us had to sit on the bed when in the room. It would be nice to have at least a chair for each guest.
Simplicity of the rooms. Great A/C. Clean and modern bathrooms and showers and very comfy bed.
Nothing
Beds comfortable.
Nothing to set clothing on. Just a shelf or ikea block would be helpful.
Very affordable, centrally located, very clean, and very comfortable
Customer Service, respectable staff
Location close to everything.
The joy riding going on in the parking garage.
The hotel is in the heart of Charlottetown and that makes it a great base for exploring, Rooms are clean and comfy the lack of TV, minifridge and phone didn't bother me in the slightest as those are things I don't really use on trips. Staff were friendly and super helpful too, the hotel has a cinema too just wish i'd have had chance to try it but makes the place even more unique.
Location and price
Additional lighting needed in room.
The breakfast was good…the room was tight bed was difficult to maneuver around.staff were friendly
See above
Great concept and very stylish. No tv or coffee maker, but there is a communal lounge where you can relax, watch tv and get a coffee.
