Hotel Schützen Lauterbrunnen

Staff! So friendly and helpful especially Meela! She was a friend by the end of our stay. Breakfast was delicious and bar staff were amazing! Close to the train station and many attractions. The fall cow parade passed right in front of the hotel! I thought that being on main street would be loud,, but it was quiet. I would stay here again!

It was very clean, convenient to the town and the train station. The beds were comfortable.

The breakfast were sparse and left a lot to be desired. Staff did not consistently clean tables. The rooms were small and cramped. The staff was so so. Not particularly warm and inviting.

Convenient location and the staff interactions were great. Free breakfast, but it did not amaze me (very basic offerings).

Rooms were a little small, but I think that may be the norm for Europe as a whole. The bathroom was so small it was hard to take a shower in and my head was almost touching the ceiling.

Group of 4 travellers and we found the room clean and confortable. The location was unbeatable. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. It was perfect for a 1 night stay. Very close to the station.

Front desk person, Mike, was exceptional in welcoming and helping us with our plans. The same with a couple of the wait staff. Great conversations. Large outdoor patio was perfect for dining. Roo. Had a very large outdoor patio with a view of the waterfall.

Bed covers was small, so if you are couple, one of you is going to be without covers.

Breakfast was good and not hurried and very typical for this type establishment.

Staff smiled in response to our interaction with them and were helpful when approached, otherwise not overtly engaging.

Room was clean and the daily room makeover was good. We had room # 37. It was nice to have a quieter room in the back of the hotel, not on the main road. The room had a small balcony with two chairs and it was nice to sit out there. It faced some houses and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The front desk clerk was very helpful navigating places to see, how to see them and when to see them. The TV had all of the streaming apps. The hotel had a restaurant so I think that contributed to a better-than-typical breakfast experience. We ate lunch once, dinner once and breakfast four times during our stay. The food was good each time. We had a king size bed (not two twins pushed together). The room had a refrigerator/freezer, the only one of the three hotels we stayed at in Switzerland that had one. This was probably the biggest room of the three we had in Switzerland.

Below are the things that were not great, but not deal breakers. The bathroom and the shower stall were the smallest I have ever used. If we were not slender in stature, we would have had a problem. The bathroom had an accordion door that had to be closed for privacy. It took some effort to use. The decor is outdated, but it was not a show-stopper for us as long as a place is clean. None of the windows had screens so flying bugs would find their way in if the window or door to the deck was open. The weather at night was cool and would have helped with sleeping if we could have kept the windows open. The beds had no top sheets.

Location is excellent - not far from the train station, and right next to the bus stop. Room was nice with a great view of Stabbach Falls. Hostess was very helpful. Breakfast was good too.

Did not have screens on the windows.

There was mold on the ceiling in our bathroom. Building is very old. And the room was very small. I had to bend over to enter room and bathroom.

We stayed in a family room with a balcony and it was very relaxing and cooling to sit outside after a long day of hiking.

Unfortunately, we had trouble connecting to the hotel wifi in the room, but at the breakfast buffet / the restaurant we had no wifi problems.

The strong point of the hotel is the location itself: close to the waterfall, some rooms with direct view towards it. Interior is cosy, not too fancy, an authentic vibe. On the ground floor there is a nice restaurant and terrace to end the day with a perfect dinner and drink.

Being so central, has its advantages, but it is extremely touristy, huge crowds (and cars and buses and bikes) passing right in front of it. Only in in the evening it gets quiet. The bathroom was kind of dated, perhaps it will be upgraded in the near future. Breakfast was OK but could have been a bit more generous in this price category.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel. L’accueil était sympathique et nos demandes concernant le lit ont bien été prises en compte. La chambre était propre et la localisation de l’hôtel est très pratique. Le parking est également un vrai plus. Quelques points pourraient toutefois être améliorés : * Literie : il serait intéressant d’investir dans des matelas plus confortables. * Petit-déjeuner : davantage de choix pour les personnes intolérantes au lactose seraient appréciés. La présence de sucre brun et de margarine serait également un plus. * Chambre 34 : le toit étant bas, il serait utile de demander en amont si les clients mesurent plus de 1,90 m afin de pouvoir, si possible, leur proposer une chambre plus adaptée. * Espace petit-déjeuner : une petite poubelle sur les tables serait pratique pour faciliter le débarrassage des petits déchets. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons apprécié notre séjour et avons particulièrement aimé la qualité de l’accueil, la propreté, la localisation et la disponibilité du personnel. Merci pour votre accueil !

Bardzo klimatyczne i przytulne miejsce z miłą obsługą. Oddaje alpejski charakter. Również restauracja z dobrym jedzeniem.

Location was incredible. The most beautiful setting. Far exceeded my expectations on that. 5min walk to the train station and Gondolas up to Murren. Staff so friendly and helpful. Room was fine, great views. Beds comfortable and all very clean

Only minor thing as an asthmatic, the fans in the room could do with a good clean as they were very dusty so couldnt use and was a bit warm but small detail when the rest was perfect. Coffee making though does need attention as used it and a lot of dry bits of coffee from previous use came out too.

Os quartos ao lado do meu compartilhavam um banheiro que ficava ao lado da minha porta. Principalmente à noite, quando os hóspedes chegavam, a utilização do banheiro era intensa, o que provocava barulho.

The property is well located and the bus stop is in front of hotel.Laundry is on walking distance and famous waterfall can be seen from your room balcony..

The receptionist was very helpful, the room, very good breakfast, very nice view from the balcony (waterfall on the right), private parking in the back (not on the street).

The staff at this hotel are extremely rude. We requested a glass of tap water and the manager wouldn't provide. Considering the price of a room at this hotel, the manager can at least be respectful. Lauterburnnen is a beautiful place and people shouldn't have to pay a lot of money to stay at a hotel where the guests aren't offered basic courtesy and hospitality.

Like the decor of the room cozy cottage type which I like…they made good use of every single space which was so practical and convenient. Variety of food drinks for breakfast.

The bed creaked with every movement so turning over inevitably disturbed the other and was so noisy I was worried we were disturbing the neighbours !! Bathroom door handle just came off in your hand when used so not possible to close

Zimmer sehr dunkel, Waschgelegenheit sehr dunkel und im Raum enthalten, Bad zu klein, Lichtquellen überall sehr schlecht, Receptions-Chef bei Ankunft sehr hilfsbereit, Reception zeitlich unglücklich besetzt, Personal auf der Gastro-Terrasse sehr unfreundlich, Personal beim Frühstück unsortiert, Frühstücksangebot sehr schlecht, mangelhaftes Angebot - nur 1 Sorte Aufschnitt vorhanden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht in Ordnung. Unterkunft und Gastronomie nicht zu empfehlen.

Siehe Ausführungen zum Vorpunkt. Einfach enttäuschend! Es fehlt in dem Haus jegliche organisatorische Leitung, Anweisung zur Freundlichkeit ist in keinster Form gegeben. Hier wird mit der guten Lage des Hauses (z.B. zum Bahnhof) der einkehrende Gast vernachlässigt.

Location was everything here. It was right next to the waterfall and pretty close to the train station.

The shower had mold in it. The bed was the creakiest bed I have ever seen.

The breakfast was good, and the hotel provided a convenient luggage storage area for guests. The location is close to the main attractions, and the train station is about a 10-minute walk away, which was quite manageable.

The lighting in the room was too dim, which made the room feel rather dark, especially in the evening.

Úžasný výhled, výborná lokalizace, prostorný balkón, denní úklid (trochu nutnost, neboť v koupelně byla po sprchování všude voda, pokoj neměl klasický sprchový kout, pouze textilní závěs nevalné kvality).

Nepohodlná vrzající postel, nevíme, zda to bylo použitým pracím práškem, ale v posteli nás svědilo tělo, celk.nebylo poležení příjemné. Závěs u sprchového koutu, nepraktické, ne zcela odpovídající hygienickým standardům. Za nás potřeba zlepšení pokojového vybavení. Hosté nad námi byli velmi hluční, neustále přesunovali nábytek, což je v těchto prostorech velmi slyšet. Check in - nepřítomnost personálu na recepci, žádné informace, hledali jsme kompetentní personál v restauraci, pohledy personálu ne příliš přívětivé. Pokud hodnotím tento hotel v porovnání s jinými hotely ve Švýcarsku, kde jsme byli, bohužel tento je celkově nejslabší.

Hotel je odlično smješten, vrlo blizu glavne atrakcije, slapa Staubacfall. Dolazak je jednostavan, osoblje uslužno i susretljivo. Objekt je čist.

Het uitzicht op de kamer was fantastisch. De jongedame achter de balie gaf ons heel veel tips over de omgeving en mooie hikes. De barman gaf ons de tip om de wandeling van Sulwald naar Suseewli te maken, deze was fantastisch! Vanuit het hotel kan je de 72 waterfall hike doen.

Het eten in restaurant had wat lekkerder en warmer gemogen.

Les chambres sont propres, jolies et confortable: l’emplacement incroyable et la réceptionniste était très accueillant.

Les restaurant de l’hôtel est de mauvaise qualité- on a dîné la. Les plats on arrive à table froid, les serveurs étaient trop occupés et il a été difficile de avoir leur attention et ils étaient tous l’air d’être fâché

The room was slightly cramped, particularly the bathroom and there was a lack of small facilities such as legs for hanging towels on after use. Overall this was only very minor

Extremely bad beds, squeaking with every movement. Also the pillows were not good. Breakfast could be improved, very mundane choice and same everyday.

Location right in the center of town. Had one of the best restaurants in Lauterbrunnen. Cozy and authentic feel. Beds were good. Pillows were decorative but functional. Hot shower. Nice view.

Room was small and had a very low ceiling over the bed. Don’t recommend the 3rd floor front room for any one over six feet tall.

Great apartment in the heart of Lauterbrunnen. The room was very spaceous and comfortable. Breakfast buffet wasn’t very large but still enjoyable. Recommended, would book again.

Only thing missing was a table with chairs, but it didn‘t bother us too much.

駅からも比較的近く、有名な滝の直ぐそば。ミューレンに行くにも、ケーブルカーも直ぐそばにあり、利便性は大変良かった。
