I was thoroughly disappointed with this hotel. The reception desk was unmanned for the entirety of our stay, the glass in the door onto the balcony was broken and held together with black tape, there was a hole in the bedsheet, the bathroom facilities were extremely cramped and the furniture was sparse, old and desperately in need of replacement. And out of the eight different hotels we stayed in during our trip, this was the most expensive per night. In my view, terrible value for money.

Great location. Spectacular views of mountains, waterfalls and valleys. Easy access to site seeing. Staff of lovely. Note: taxis are not readily available especially after dinner, so plan accordingly.

Ease of Check In and Check Out

The bathroom smelled like sewage when we arrived. It had no window or functional fan to combat that. There were exposed wires in the bathroom. We were given half a roll of TP. The safety situation is strange. The door can only be unlocked with a key from BOTH sides (you cannot escape your room without the key). That, paired with the connected balconies, and no AC (which encourages open windows), has many safety and security concerns in itself. The chandelier in the room was hanging by a wire, so low that you hit your head on it exiting the bed! The balcony has zero drainage and was just a puddle of water, rendering it useless.

Location was good, the place was quiet, room was up to our expectations (we had a basic room). It was basic level of comfort, two beds, nightstands, wardrobe, all clean, window overlooking a part of the street and partial mountain view.

Bathroom was one real problem. It was located in the small hallway between the door to the room and exit door. Basically you walk into the bathroom, then to the room. That is a weird and uncomfortable feeling. Plus shower head needed work, did not function properly.

Old hotel, needed better maintenance and rehabilitation. To reach the room you have to enter first in the bathroom + WC and then when you go trough and try to open the door in order to get into the room, the handle remain in your hand. The stand of the shower was broken.

The location is convenient and the proximity to the train station and waterfalls is excellent.

Location is fantastic! We had a balcony and were able to watch the train travel up and down the mountain. To the right of the balcony, we could see the falls.

Bathroom needs some attention. Drains were very slow. Pillows were very flat and lumpy; however I was given a different one (which was slightly better) when I asked.

Beautiful view of the waterfall from the balcony. Helpful staff (David and Maggie) coordinated our luggage storage when we had a last minute change in our itinerary. We liked the Swiss-German food on the menu and the cold draft beer. Loved the chocolate soufflé for dessert! Lauterbrunnen is a good central spot for train connections and cable cars to many hikes. Can walk (or bus) to Staubach Falls and Trümmelbach Falls.

There is no elevator, but we thought the stairs were manageable for reasonably fit people. The town itself is pretty quiet after sunset but noisy neighbors can be annoying if you sleep with the balcony doors open.

Obwohl das Zimmermädchen die Arbeit nicht erfunden hat, war sie sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ideal - nicht zu weit weg vom Bahnhof. Parkplätze sind kostenlos (wenn auch spärlich vorhanden). Das Zimmer war erstaunlich ruhig!

Wenig Steckdosen, kein Fernseher (obwohl der Fernseher zweitrangig für mich ist). Ich finde in der gleichen Gegend billigere Hotels mit besserer Leistung und Ausstattung. Frühstück kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich ohne Frühstück gebucht habe. Einmal zu Abend gegessen. Zwei kleine Schnitzelchen auf einem riesigen Berg Pommes. Dafür war der Preis für die Mikro-Schnitzel angemessen.

Great Location in the middle of the village. We stayed when we travelled up Piz Gloria. We had a room for 3, which was a double room with a separate single room attached. The bathroom had been refitted. The restaurant looked very quiet so we ate elsewhere. There was parking outside.

No hairdryer in the bathroom. The plug for the kettle didn’t work in the plug socket. Part of the car park had been rented out to a food trailer which reduced spaces.

Die Lage

Der Föhn stamm aus 1947, genauso wie das Gebäude. Die Decken sind ca 2M hoch, weshalb die Entscheidung dort noch eine Lampe zu hängen, die dann für Menschen ab 1.75 dann als eine Art Kopfschmerzen wird, kann ich kaum nachvollziehen. Nach Personal muss man erstmal suchen, da Rezeption nie belegt ist. Also für den Preis sollten sie echt sich einen neuen Föhn leisten können. Wirkt wie eine abzocke.. Solltet ihr doch aus einem Grund nichts anderes finden, dann kann ich pulled pork in der Nähe des Hotels empfehlen.

El ingreso a la habitación es por el baño, y en ningún lugar se aclara esto. Además eran tres pisos por escalera, no tenía cortinas blackout o persianas para la luz, había bichos muertos debajo de la ventana debido al rústico marco y un saquito de té debajo de la cama, la cual era un colchón de menos de 10cm. La atención del personal dejó mucho que desear, pedimos hielo en pleno verano y nos dieron dos cubitos derretidos de un plato. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos.

It was an awful dirty place. I had never seen such a neglected place.

The room was dusty, and garbage was scattered on the floor. There was a very narrow, uncomfortable bathtub that one could not stand with both feet. The bathtub was not cleaned. It had someone's hair in it. There was a wasp in the bathroom, and I had severe allergies to wasp bite. It was a very small amount of soap for washing. It was refilled. There were only two teabags and 2 coffee bags at our disposal for 2 days, two different shape cups, and one saucer. They did not clean the rooms or take out the garbage during our stay. The room is very worn out and needs repairs.Thete was a huge fly in the room. The pillow on the bed was VERY worn out, it was full of lumps, and i could have a decent sleep.No fridge or TV in the room, I had never lived anywhere without a TV. No respect for customers. We wanted to talk to some management, but it was impossible as they were not there! There were polish young worker, and they offered to complain to booking.com. We want you to take our complaints into consideration and provide us with a refund for inconveniences and disrespect.

Great location and great stuff. They allowed us to leave our bags in our first they before checking and the last day after check-out. Overall stuff was very kind and helpful.

The shower curtain was very dirty. It clearly needs an urgent and thorough cleaning. Shower hose was broken too.

The only thing positive about this was the location. The staff seemed friendly on check in at the restaurant area that is not at all connected to the hotel entrance but apart from that I cannot comment.

I will start with the worst which was the shower was broken so my partner had to hold the shower above me (like the scene from Gavin and Stacey) just so I could shower. No staff were available by the time we realised this was an issue. You access the hotel via some steep, steel steps that are really not suitable for anyone with any, even minor mobility issues. You would not want to carry your luggage up and down the steps in wet conditions. You then enter the stairwell which looks like it’s from a 1970s horror movie. We had what we thought was just a normal room but walked in into the bathroom and because of this the door was rotting away. The room had a funny smell which they had tried to cover up with an air freshener so you got the best of both worlds with chemicals and damp smells. The bed and mattress were terrible, pillows were pancake thin and the mattress was also thin so you could feel all the springs. Other guests had mentioned they enjoyed the coffee in the morning but this was not the case for us as these had not been replaced. The shower curtain was vulgar at the bottom, needed replacing and was covered in orange grime.

・良くなかったところは、なかなか見つからない。 　ドアの鍵！中から閉めるのに鍵が必要なところぐらいかな。

Frühstück erst ab 8Uhr möglich - was nicht ideal ist für Wanderungen. Wir haben darauf verzichtet. Völlig inakzeptabel sind Mitarbeiter, die kaum Deutsch sprechen (wir sind nach wie vor in der Schweiz!) und dann nachts um halb zwei kiffend auf dem Balkon die Nachtruhe stören…

Unzumutbar,wir fragen uns wieso diese Unterkunft noch bei booking zu buchen ist.Das allerletzte für den Preis. An diesem hotel hat uns nichts gefallen.

There doesnt seem to be any evidence of management at the hotel restaurant staff have to deal with everything whilst also running restaurant. Simple things in room wrong like shower doors not aligned to close correctly. Kettle didn't have a plug on that would plug into the rooms sockets. Liquid soaps not filled when empty. Random towel changes and non removal of dirty towels. Balcony doesn't drain after rainfall. It wouldn't take much to make this a decent hotel but it will need managing properly with a will to take care of details

So gut wie nichts. Altmodische Ausstattung, nur eine Steckdose im Zimmer (keine im Bad). Wenn man das Zimmer betritt, ist man direkt im Bad, was vermutlich in den 70er Jahren saniert wurde. Am Abend gab es kein warmes Wasser. Das wurde dann zwar nach Beschwerde behoben, jedoch kam sehr wenig Wasser aus der Leitung. Ich habe mich in dieser Unterkunft nicht wohl gefühlt!

Stunning view from the balcony! We loved starting our morning with the complimentary instant coffee on the balcony. The staff was very helpful. The room had everything we needed.This was exactly what we needed for our quick visit to Lauterbrunnen on a budget and on a whim.

The shower pressure was weak, and some of the plugs in the room did not work. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned.

De kamer zelf: van de gang stap j binnen in de badkamer?! En het lichtknopje was (gevaarlijk) op maat gesneden in de deurlijst. Het bed was slecht, de veren staan in je rug als je ligt. Er waren geen overgordijnen du ook geen privacy. Op het dak konden mensen oversteken naar een dakterras. Erg vieze bemoste oude matjes lagen daar in plassen water. Alles wasl oud en provisorisch gemaakt en onderhouden. Ik had geklaagd over jonge gasten die 's nachts bij ons naar binnen schenen, maar daar heb ik niets op teruggehoord. Het telefoonnummer werkt wel, maar niemand reageert. Erg onprofessioneel en onpersoonlijk. ⁰

The Hotel location is great, but the hotel needs major renovations.

The hotel is old and needs major renovations. For example we were in room 14 and the window frames are in dire need of renovations as the paint is peeling from all the window frames. Our room had a balcony facing the street and when it rained the water would collect on the balcony as there is no way for the water to drain off the balcony. If it were my hotel, I would fix this as the water collects on the balcony and will eventually cause mild build up and is a great place for mosquitos to breed. Also, in the bathroom the sink is in the process of falling as the caulking is cracked causing the sink water to collect downwards and not drain. The shower head does not connect to the holder as it appears to be a different type of head that the shower head connect will not hold in place.

Šveicē palikām daudz dažādās vēl skaistākās vietās ar 2x mazāku cenu un 10 x labāku, skaistāku un visādi citādi komfortablāku nummuriņu. Un bildes bookingā vispār neatbilst īstenībai. Samaksājām visdārgāko uzturēšanās maksu visā Šveicē, lai iegūtu nummiņu, kur ar līmlenti salīmēts logs... Istabas krēsli bija tik nolietoti, ka tajos nebija vēlme pat piesēst... Un arī brokastis neriskējām te ēst, kur neskatoties uz tā milzīgo un neadekvāto summu, vēl nebija iekļautas.
