The staff was very nice.
One of our two rooms had a wet floor and smelled like mildew. They also advertised food but weren’t serving anything during our visit.
The facilities and location for the price we paid
Rude staff at breakfast
The room it's self was ok
The heater was hanging off the wall, the shower had mould on the ceiling and in the grouting. The toilet flusher was broken, the toilet seat was ill fitting. The people above me and next door were really noisy thumping around, slamming doors and someone even tried to come into my room good job it was locked.
Proximity to station and shops. Friendly staff.
No room cleaning, bed making or change of sheets and towels
Booked and when I got there it was in the ghetto where I couldnt possibly park my van safe ... tried to cancel 10 mins later and was made to pay a £41 cancellation fee , that was at their own discretion , absolute joke of a place i would avoid if you want to feel safe dont stay here

Great location, quite area except over the weekend. I recommend this Inn for accommodation of short vacations, etc.
Listen more to customers, as I requested something that other guests might not do as part of the housekeeping duties because of my special timetable scheme but they did not grant it.
Nothing really. If you like to party the pub looked nice and had good music playing. People there seemed to have fun and the staff was very nice and polite
It was very dirty. The room smelled like smoke. The shower had mould in the drain and when we unscrewed it to clean it there was so much dirt inside. Going up to the room all the carpets were dirty. The place was very loud. Even at night you could hear the tv, talking and the drain from other rooms. The kettle in our room was very dirty. The entrances are a bit uncomfortable. You can either enter through the pub, which at night is very very busy or from an outside entrance close to the bins and a bit scary at night. I don’t recommend this if you have children
Good location, clean and tidy. Basic but exactly what is needed.
We stayed here for 4 nights with children and enjoyed our stay, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help us. Even the locals helped with the prams up the stairs. Very friendly hotel would definitely stay again
Great little place. Easy to get to very cheap, clean and tidy. Free parking and friendly staff.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Everything
Place is overall in an ok area near shops and few takeway shops. Nice operating pub with live nights. Bare minimum essential facilities.
Bed bugs are present. came back eaten alive.
We checked in and we found out that the extractor fan was not working, the toilet flash was not working,
That wasn't as comfortable as expected.
Its in a nice area
It’s not clean at all we had bed bugs running around the bed sheets full of spots never staying here again 😢
Staff was lovely and friendly
The room wasnt ready for the time it should have been, dirty and not great at all
The outside looks good
The beds in the rooms needs to be upgraded i get bites by bed bugs on the bed my husband can't sleep because the room was dusty, he was sneezing, he had stuffy nose and itchy eyes through out the night.
The outside looks good
The rooms are not clean the beds in the room needs to be upgraded with a new beds the bathroom is not clean and they are bed bugs on the beds something needs to done about, and their blood on the beds sheets.
Amazing service with letting you bring pints to your room
Heating maybe since I needed to dry some work clothes but apart from that it’s Alr
We needed accommodation with a twin room and parking for a reasonable price
The cleanliness of the room. Heavy mould in bathroom and cobwebs in bedroom. The place just needs cleaning properly. It could be a great location

The location is incredible
The rooms are quite old and the washroom is derelict and has a smell The staff go above and beyond The Wifi did not work and I was also told by the staff that it doesn't always work which would have been nice to know before booking the place
Staff friendliness helpfull

Friendly staff, clean comfortable room
The location is perfect for my son's private tuition, and everything is acceptable.
Too hot since there is no aircon in our room, only in the corridor and you can hear the footsteps in upstairs since we were in groundfloor and the voices as well.
The location was a very short walk from the train station, which was handy for easy travel to the city. Unfortunately the negatives are so significant I need to use this box to continue as I ran out of space in the other half, what follows is the further negatives of this place: I truly wanted this place to be a hidden gem as I attend a lot of events in Birmingham and it could’ve been somewhere I would’ve returned to. Unfortunately this was without a doubt the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The room was absolutely filthy, with what I can only assume is blood stained on the walls and on the bed sheets. The bathroom wall was covered in hair, and the shower itself full of black mold. There was old chewing gum stuck to the headboard of the bed, and the radiator stained with nicotine stains. The skirting boards are rotting with a literal layer of cigarette ash coating them.
The Booking.com listing clearly states ‘designated smoking area’ and ‘non smoking rooms’, except this is not even remotely enforced with the rooms stinking of cigarette smoke and the stench of weed filling the hallways. I informed the staff of this and they said they would ‘do a sweep’, of course when we returned to the room later, nothing had changed. Upon further research, it appears this is a regular occurrence at this hotel so I imagine they are reluctant to ‘sweep’ their usual clientele. The WiFi does not work and is frankly dangerous, I would advise anyone connecting to it to ensure their antivirus is up to date and do not use sensitive work data on their network. Immediately upon connecting, a warning came up on our phone that this was an unsafe WiFi. Within about an hour of connecting, 10gb of mobile data had been leached from our phone. We then rolled over 5gb more, hoping this was just something we had previously missed, this was also leached. After disconnecting from the WiFi, this stopped happening. When I arrived back at the hotel after visiting Birmingham on Friday, a group of what I believe to be prostitutes were surrounding my car. I could not sleep due to concerns for my safety and the safety of my vehicle. We did in fact consider leaving that night and finding somewhere else to stay however we were too exhausted to deal with it at that stage. The following morning, thankfully my car was undamaged, however we were already greeted with drunk clientele who were shouting a variety of offensive homophobic comments which made us want to leave the area immediately. We did receive the £50 deposit back, however frankly I believe we should be getting our entire payment back due to the complete and utter amount of lies told by this listing and how truly unsafe we felt.
I loved everything about this place, in good location
None
They required a deposit for the rooms £50 but this was put on the booking .com website that a deposit was required .
Staff were lovely
The rooms could do with a touch of paint. Marks on the walls but the bedding was clean and need was comfortable so for £41 what more could you ask?
Ubicación, relación calidad/precio
Internet muy mal
Is a nice place to be...
There's no fridge inside the room
Great pub but was too loud and couldn't sleep
Met all our needs for the price Can’t complain
No need
Good Budget Inn near to where I needed to be
Got a Parking Charge notice ,despite entering my Registration in the pad at Reception. Emailed property wh have hopefully sorted it .
Location
My room was extremely hot and couldn’t get a fan
The location. Only a 15min walk to the Glebe. Top facilities and perfectly located above the pub. We had a great time watching the match where we met Naffans cousin Curtis who was a lovely lad and loved his cider. Although Lacey got annoyed with Nathan and went up to our room to cool off, we still had a good time. Will 100% be back.
It was too close to the rip off Nando’s place. Nice food but too expensive. Maybe you could have a word?
Very friendly staff, we're very accommodating seeing as I didn't arrive till 11pm due to unforeseen circumstances, the lady who greeted us was warm friendly and inviting
Friendly staff
No WiFi as advertised Slowest breakfast on the planet
Great location next to the railway station
Rooms a bit tired
Great location clean and tidy
WiFi wasn't great.
Breakfast not available
Bed very uncomfortable, found mattress upside down turned over to find large filthy stain. Checked out n morning although had paid for two nights
Cosy bed staff are very welcoming
The area wasn't nicest of places
Definitely worth the money.
Windows and walls could be slightly more clean/more work done to maintain the rooms as a whole (repaint walls etc) but for me it wasn’t a big problem I was completely happy with the service and room.
Price
Not too clean, especially the bathroom, mouldy in places.
Staff very welcoming
Armed police at 8 o'clock causing concern
Was smelling like piss
The bed
This was a very convenient location for us, and it was excellent for visiting family in Stechford.
Clean in the bedroom. Part of a public house, although no noise of the pub was experienced.
Clean rooms, great prices, really friendly staff, animal friendly, really lively family pub with some really cool entertainment nights and live sports.
Far from town if you plan to walk. But it's only 1 bus from straight down the road.
eveything all staff are lovely. place is very clean. any help there if needed. lovely place will definitely come back again lovely place

Bed
The room was not clean when we arrived. The WiFi password we were given did not work, and the TV was not working either. We reported both issues to the staff and were told that someone would come to fix them, but nobody came. Very disappointing service and poor communication. I would not stay here again. ⭐☆☆☆☆
respectful staff. very clean. very helpful and respectful. lovely place will always stay again
nothing
Was very cheap and I didn’t have high expectations. I was satisfied with the facilities in the room. The staff were very nice. I was able to leave my car in their car park for the whole day when I checked out.
The room was quite tatty in that the paintwork and carpet etc looked well used. The room smelt nice but needed to be cleaned to a higher standard. I felt a bit uncomfortable in the local area.

Nothing I don’t like it
In shower there is mould everywhere and mattress u can feel the spring and electric is also mouldy as well and couldn’t sleep because of the loud noise as pub downstairs

Staff were exceptional; the breakfasts were great but slow to arrive; drinks and prices were great. For the type of property it is it was exceptional so there is nothing to complain about. Good value. Recommended by myself and my 3 friends - we had 3 rooms! Regards, Ben
Unfair question really to me; I think for the type of property it is and the location it is at there is nothing to say here. I suffer with mobility issues and other medical conditions and it is not the best property for such travellers but I was able to cope and enjoyed my stay fully. Regards, Ben

Location
Loud music out side noise outside in the drinking area
Near to where we needed to be and bed was clean and comfy.
Shower was disgusting and silver fish insects all over bathroom floor when went to toilet in the night.
Location was brilliant straight onto the train line for the NEC. Staff were friendly on arrival. Ease of access on the side gate avoiding the pub. Good sized room.
Whilst the location was close to amenities nothing was open on arrival at friday evening, and the local area left much to be desired. The room itself was hot on arrival as expected during a heatwave, however without air con this meant the windows had to be kept open, this brought with it a large amount of noise and smells from the pub downstairs which seems to be a favourite of the locals. The bathroom wasnt as clean as it could have been with litter from the previous occupiers, and the size was far too small. It was difficult for a broad person to enter or exit the shower. The bed duvet was far too thick for the weather so perfect for winter but dubious for summer.
Excellent access from rail, specifically for NEC. No noise from bar area at all Really good value for money and definitely would use again.
Bathroom was a very tight squeeze as door.didn't fully open. Very hot as no air con or fan.
Good location, easy to access. Staff were helpful and looked after bag while I went into Birmingham. Beds were soft and comfortable. Room had a large light on ceiling, which not every place does. There was an alternative access route to the rooms if you wanted to avoid going through the pub.
Room was warm and with the windows open to cool it down, traffic noise majorly reduced the quality of my sleep. Lack of a mixer tap in the sink meant risk of scalding if you used hot tap. No glasses for water and the kettle was hard to fill in the small sink. Noise in pub for DJ night led to me going elsewhere to eat.
Unfortunately I didn’t end up staying. I had my children with me who were 10 years old and their anxiety went through the roof, walking to the room through the alleyway there were drug packets all over the floor. When we went to go and get some chicken from the shop for dinner, there was all drug users all on the streets and a lady was getting a needle out and my son just started to cry. He felt so so scared so we ended up packing our stuff and going straight home and not staying for the night. When we got there and I went into the pub to book in, I was greeted by a drunk man. The music was very very loud and I just fell on edge from the minute I got in there.
Dees what it says on the tin
The loud banging of the doors when someone slams it open or closed.
Location.
1) No internet which affected two days of my remote work. Tried fixing issue with manager for hours but nothing worked. During my entire stay of 3 days despite being told issue will be fixed quickly there was no internet. See picture. 2) Cleanliness issue. The toilet floor was unclean and shower cubical including shower head had mould. Coffee stain marks on the walls. Carpet was vacuumed in a hurry, could feel little pieces on feet. See pictures. 3) Dodgy and unclean path of entrance to rooms. See pictures.
Great bang for buck
