Bed
the bathroom was good
The bed was terrible, the staff was unable to give me a receipt for the payment either the day before my departure or in the morning. I was left without the documents confirming the payment that I need for my travel report. On Saturday evening, a wild, noisy party was held under the windows and the entire street was lit up with smoke.
Location,safe parking,big room this time
It fits its purpose
We had three rooms. Each was comfortable and offers very good value for money.
Rooms have little issues such as one where it was very difficult to unlock the door. The organisation is a little haphazard such as the door to the bar and restaurant locked a 8.00 in the morning.
Know this place well, booked it for my cousin and wife who were travelling up from Gloucester And has i expected they were over the moon Room was amazing staff so helpful Recommend to anyone visiting Birmingham.
Nothing to dislike.
oom was nice
No net curtain. TV remote not working. Had to drag trolley up to 3rd floor as no lift and no help available but I was too tired to find another hotel
The food menu
Creaky floorboards and thin walls
Very cosy friendly place and staff
Great pub, great rooms, great value!
Area was not safe and don’t fall for the name Mosley arms pub & hotel . It’s no where near Mosley folk festival . Or in Mosley
Bad area
Central & with parking
Nothing
Breakfast is such good value and was able to have it in the room which was nice to have Breakfast in bed.
Nice friendly staff , very helpful when wanted an early check in. Great location.
.nothing
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were able to answer any questions we had and offered up advice during our stay.
The room was very tired, very basic. Although the bed was comfortable enough and it was fine for what we needed overnight.
Pub food clean room great location

Great food friendly staff and locals
Stuff really friendly
Nothing everything was good
Friendly staff. Efficient. Good breakfast. Good location. Parking
The area it is in isnt particularly appealing but you wouldn't pick this hotel for the direct location its in - its great for being cheap and close enough to the city centre that you can walk it
There really wasn’t anything to like. I’m not sure why it has good reviews
The location was awful The bar was really rowdy The room was grim. We didn’t even shower the next day just upped and left We didn’t bother with breakfast aster seeing that the kitchen staff were also cleaning the toilets in between cooking!
Friendly and accommodating staff. Great value for money. Short walk to centre.
Walls quite thin, could hear other guests coming back late but only a minor issue to us.
Clean, comfortable room, good to have parking facility and good breakfasr
Have heard it can be noisy at night but it was very quiet when we were there
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the pub was lovely inside. I thought the breakfast was good value too and better quality than somewhere like wetherspoons. Also had good transport links with the buses.
We had walked to the venue from the station, and the walk felt like it could be quite isolating if you were walking there on your own, especially at night. I'm sure the area is fine, it's just very industrial and the venue itself is lovely.
Gr8 location for O2
The rooms where very clean and the staff where lovely. The breakfast was banging and good value for money. Situated not too far from the bull ring. You can easily walk it or there are plenty of buses you can catch.
The room we had only had a small window as we where in the attic room. We stayed during some of the hottest days of the year so the room was boiling hot. Luckily we brought a fan from home.
The location was great since we were going to the Moseley Festival. No frills accommodation which is clean and friendly. Will stay again.
Nothing
Calm and got car park
Nothing really
Good value
No aircon
Nice place to stay with everything you need
Was ok clean staff friendly
Very noisy slamming doors didn’t get much rest
Alll good , the stuff very kind, not far away from town center, not far away from train station and coach station.. Defitnely i will be back. 😍
Clean, tidy, and very comfortable—highly recommended.
Ground floor which I needed, helpful staff, comfortable bed
Not able to make use of any kitchen options - warming up food is no longer allowed (I'm vegan and had my own food with me) and simply having something in the fridge was also no longer allowed (apparently issues with a previous guest who claimed foodpoisoning after warming up their food there even though it has been proven it wasn't the inns fault)
You get what you paid for. Rooms themselves were decent and comfortable. It is a budget hotel so can’t complain really. Staff were lovely and really friendly. Parking is free which was an absolute godsend. For two nights and at late notice due to a previous hotel we booked becoming shut down, it’s good.
Whilst the hotel/pub itself is relatively nice, the area itself isn’t in a particularly great area of Birmingham. As a young woman, walking back in the dark I felt incredibly unsafe even with my boyfriend next to me - this is no fault of the hotel but just something to bear in mind. The walls/ceilings are really thin so can be very loud both from other rooms and from outside. There’s a bus stop/bus lane right outside so can be loud in the morning with buses - once again not a fault of the hotel but just something to note. There is an unpleasant smell that comes from presumably the shower drain but it’s manageable and for only two nights we didn’t particularly care that much.
Nothing. The stay was the worst I have ever experienced.
The male night reception was rude. When I called to ask a question, hung up the phone and said I was disturbing his sleep.
Good for money! Worth it, and the host is super friendly.
We have been several times now to go for the cricket, staff are always very helpful and friendly, the breakfast are always good value. We always sleep well,
Actually very quiet place.
I dint have any problem
Everything about the place is good
None
It’s a lovely listed building, the area is upcoming with new apartments being developed nearby. Easy no.50 bus route to city centre. So handy to have a good car park on site.
It will feel more settled when the nearby buildings are developed fully.
Very good and neat
Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room
Clean and proper, very close to the city center
The location is in a sketchy zone so be careful when picking the route to the hotel
Near to Town Centre and great parking availability.
I didn’t like loud noise because it is joint with a pub.
Cool, historic, the DJ and Music
I would recommend that the hotel switches to a magnetic key card instead of a physical key for the room and a code to enter after hours. The reason is that my door's keylock was tricky to lock and unlock.
Good location
No food available for an evening meal
Nothing
Prices are extortionate and location is like being in Beirut very run down. Salad wasn't fresh and a lot of food is microwaved
I was around 30 C inside. No fan. I could hardly sleep. Windows can be opened for a few inches only. Nice loud Irish mosic was on till about 22:30.
Windows and heat.
Nice cleaning room
Morning too
Good price for what it was.
Very hot in the room and no fan provided but luckily I brought one with me. The bathroom was a bit smelly and the shower didn’t work that well.
Amazing value for money, great location
I thought you got exactly what you paid for - a central location, friendly staff, a spacious double room, and in house food in the evenings. The room was clean and tidy and the sash windows a nice touch. The bus stops to the city centre and Moseley/Kings Heath were also very handy. Overall, worth what I paid.
Again, you get what you pay for, akin to a budget hotel like Ibis. Rooms were a little basic with a few signs of wear and tear, carpets and so on. My room at the front of the property was also overlooked by apartment blocks opposite so I had to keep the blinds down mostly. There was a lot of outside noise the weekend I stayed. The main issue was the lack of air con or even fans - on a warm weekend, the room was quite uncomfortable and may be an issue worth looking at.
Location, staff were very nice
Old fleece cushions and blanket on bed.
The staff were lovely and accommodating.
The rooms were very hot. The area was horrendous and we felt very unsafe. We did not want to leave our car on the street, but the staff allowed us to park it in the beer garden which our room over looked.
clean room, great value for money
Staff and room was clean and bed was very comfortable.Staff given me table fan too when I asked them
Everything was perfect
Clean, helpful staff.
the noise from the corridor! Not your issue but people talking loudly going to tehir rooms.
Free parking Walkable into central Birmingham Comfy bed Very clean
The area wasn’t great
Grd fl. After staff assisted me My original request appears to have been lost? B'fast was presented well and filling. Cook/Service good.
Diff re entering late night due small print and low lighting as vision not 100% Staff assisted after my phone call promptly.
Not far from restaurants etc.
Could of had a mini fridge, and tv remote not working.
All good
All good
Great staff great food
Nothing
The room is spacious, clean and neat. In addition to lighting is excellent.I really recommend my friend to book and choose The Moseley Arms.
Everything is ok.
Comfortable, convenient and close to amenities
Road noise
Bathroom stunk..but smell subsided..under the beds and under the furniture alit of dirt..dust..socks..crisps
Tv reception was very poor couldn't watch yhe usa v bosnia game clearly
Quite and clean and the lady at bar was very friendly.
Great place for a base, breakfast was tasty. Ideal accommodation for what we required. Would happily stay again.
I was just a bit worried with the music on that sleep was going to be very late but it was fine, could have done with the door between the accommodation and bar being closed if possible.
The vibe
Was very nice and good value
was very clean, room was lovely and cool through the heatwave. Bed were comfortable.
Walls quite thin could hear other guests until early hours.
Nothing.
Absolutely horrible experience. Dirty. Pub, dirty toilet facilities. Dirty rooms. Horrible staff drunk on duty. Sworn at by bar man. Staff took up all seating areas so there was nowhere to sit. Contractors off their heads shouting out of their windows at night. Abused by very nasty bearded bar man that obviously does not like women at all. The whole experience was really upsetting. I wouldn't go back if you paid me. I wanted to relax and I left totally stressed. Rude, vile, aggressive. I do not advise women travelling swine to stay there.
Nice and clean room. The staff was very friendly. We had complimentary water, tea, coffee and milk.
It is a pub, so you hear music until very late (2-3 am). The walk from the train station is not a nice one. The room was extreamly hot.
Friendly staff
Very warm rooms during a heatwave
Amazing hospitality and host. Also pet friendly. Very clean and tidy room and well organized.
I have zero complaints.
The rooms were very, very small and it was extremely hot there. There wasn’t even a fan there — forget about air conditioning, there wasn’t even a fan.”

The bathroom was really clean, and the room accessories were intact.
Staff were friendly and helpful - easy to check in and out - lovely little pub - was able to park my van in their car park and city centre was an short distance away The room had everything I needed - the weather was unusually hot and there was no air con so pretty sticky in the room - but it was hot everywhere that day - unusually so Was really good value for the price - and although perhaps not in the most scenic part of Birmingham I would absolutely recommend if you’re after a clean room close to city centre on a budget - and helpful staff some interesting history to the pub too Popular with contractors I suspect - really nothing to complain about Would stay there again in ever in Birmingham
From viewing the pictures on line it looked very clean and the rooms looked nicely furnished, both myself and my friend had just d facial surgery so staying somewhere clean was important, as I got to the door of the room there were dirty finger marks on the door and as I looked down the corridor other doors looked the same, on entering the room the carpet looked dirty and it was ripped in one corner near to the end of the bed. The furniture in the room was tatty and poor, we left straight away and informed the lady that we had just had surgery and it wasn’t clean enough and they didn’t do any good, we told her that we would have to be there for 3 days before going back to see our surgeon and we needed food and she just wasn’t interested at all, she also informed us that she wouldn’t give us a refund so we left and booked into the Hilton
Didn’t like anything about the place at all, rooms dirty, not very well maintained at all
Friendly professional staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast .
Room in need of TLC.
I have a soft spot for these pub rooms. A "9" rating doesn't mean it's a Hilton hotel, just that it's very good value for what it offers. This was a last-minute, one-night booking when I realized I'd goofed on some travel arrangements. I'd say the room is equivalent to a solid three-star hotel in the UK, for half the price or less. It's very clean, well-located in the lively and multicultural Digbeth neighborhood, about a 20-minute walk from central Birmingham and the train stations. Clean and decently appointed, with a small fridge, big TV, well-sized bathroom and shower, good Wi-Fi. I can see the economic logic for the Moseley pub: I hung out there plenty and had two meals there, both good. (Try the liver and onions.) There's little noise from the street outside. I'd book again without hesitation.
No complaints for the price and what you get for it.
Clean, perfectly beautiful room; very good location. Just outside, there is a bus which takes you directly to the train station or city centre. Also, easy to find.
Great price and very nice pub. Decent rooms, can’t complain about anything due to the price being so good.
Not much to complain about.
Pas de ménage quotidien
Everything
I wish there was fan.
Everyone was so welcoming, kind, lovely, food was amazing 👏
Great location, very fair priced accommodation with a good food menu.
Nothing
Room very clean. Breakfast extra, but an excellent full english. Just what was needed after the night before. Pub has a good selection of beers. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay, in a good location and excellent value for money.
Snadne a bezpecne parkovani ve dvore.
