Breakfast was very good and a wonderful location across from the sea. Staff were all delightful.

Only had some basic toast and marmalade, the couple sat on the next table over had fried and poached eggs on toast which looked amazing.

The duvet was a little too thick for my liking, so I slept without it.

The position of the hotel was excellent, just in front of the sea. What impressed us most was the breakfast, the best we had in 2 weeks holiday around England and Wales. Staff was friendly and super helpful. One unexpected treat: a GHD hairdryer at your disposal in the definitely spacious bathroom.

Gwesty Cymru is a wonderful place to stay in a location directly facing the ocean and near the downtown area. The breakfast was great and the staff very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. I'd definitely stay here again!

The terrace overlooking the seafront is delightful, the staff were wonderful and made the perfect aperol spritz. Room was perfect for me, bed really comfortable, room amenities great and was offered fresh milk for tea/coffee. Breakfast was delicious too.

A very large room with great decor and comfort. Gigantic bed, relaxing wave sound at night. Romantically designed bathroom with local Welsh made incredibly fragrant soap and shampoo!!!!! Breakfast is top notch! Highly recommended spot in Aberystwyth. We would love to come back.

Best location in Aberystwyth. Very nice team and very good breakfast. The bar is not to be missed, and the furniture in both the rooms and the breakfast room (=Bar) is excellent. We were informed upfront about road closures and which parking place to take - this was brilliant service and so helpful. Very good restaurant around the corner is Glengover. Don't miss Scenic Railway ride to Devils Bridge.

A perfect overnight stay in this little gem. Clean, tidy and comfortable room, great breakfast and super friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The room was a little stuffy but they provided a fan which made a big difference.

Very welcoming, helpful happy staff as soon as we arrived. Room was beautiful, we purposely chose a seaview room, which didn’t disappoint. Very spacious, and comfortable, with a great selection of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and some delicious coffee waffles! Nice touch. There was also a Dyson fan in the room which was very welcome as I’m always hot!! Gareth was very helpful greeting us when we arrived and carrying our bags up to our room and the two lovely girls who served us at breakfast (wish Id of asked their names) were very pleasant and helpful too, a credit to the B&B. Good delicious breakfast choices too, with fantastic local ingredients. The location is absolutely fabulous with only a few minutes walk to anywhere in town. A perfect stay really, so will definitely be back.

The only tiny issue we had was that there was no milk in the room for hot drinks. Most times there are little cartons of long life, so not sure if this is just something they don’t do or if it was just an oversight. That said as soon as I mentioned it I was given some fresh milk in a cooler flask which was absolutely fine.

Breakfast was OK. Location was great and was the main reason we chose the place. We thought it would be more of a hotel but it was really a bread and breakfast.

The breakfast was fantastic, the room was nice and clean. The staff were brilliant and always asked if I needed anything for the room just as water.

It was warm and cosy. The view was beautiful, you can lie in bed and look out at sea and the mountains in the distance if it’s a clear day. The staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing especially the home made granola. We will be going back here next year as it now holds a special memory. The bath and shower were great. It was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend staying at this property 10/10

This is a lovely little place, right on the promenade. The staff were all really welcoming and accommodating, and the access to the sea was incredible. The breakfast was also dreamy. We would really recommend sampling the excellent cocktail menu.

Our room was at the back, and there was a light flashing on and off all night. And the air con was very loud so we couldn’t use it.

The room had a high spec. Excellent shower. Vèry comfy bed. Lots of detail including espresso machine. Breakfast was excellent quality. Abbey was a very good host. Very attentive and super friendly.

Poor sound insulation was the only issue.

Had an absolutely wonderful time here last month. It was a lovely location, really lovely staff and such a well kitted out room with high spec bathroom! It was very easy to get around the Town and find my way back. The downstairs restaurant and bar was lovely and the staff again were so friendly. Would definitely recommend

The blinds in our room were not good & did not restrict the light as they are not well fitted. There’s a streetlight right outside & it’s summer so the sun came up at around 4am & the room never got dark. Proper black out curtains needed.

Mycket stort rum med fantastisk utsikt. Det gick att dra för tunna gardiner så att man inte såg in. Mycket trevlig personal. En mysig bar på entréplan som trots att den var precis nedanför vårt fönster aldrig störde oss. Stort plus för morgonrockarna. Det var 30 grader varmt när vi var där och det fanns två bra fläktar på rummet.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the seafront. The room was comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Aircon bedroom.

We always have a lovely stay at Gwesty Cymru, and this time was no exception. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and professional, the breakfast is delicious and they serve great cocktails, all at a perfect location.

It’s obvious the property has been upgraded to today’s standards and our room was so spacious and comfortable with an amazing bathroom. I was delighted with quality bed linen and towels as well as the cleanliness due to excellent housekeeping staff. The view over the seafront was such a pleasure for us and we appreciated, in the heat, the high quality tower fan the owner had installed. The garden in front of the property is one of the best places to enjoy on the Aberystwyth sea front - in the gorgeous weather we enjoyed drinks outdoors and could watch the glorious sunset. Breakfast was excellent, with friendly and professional staff making sure all guests were satisfied.

Gelegen aan de boulevard. Kamer was prachtig en zeer ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Zeker een verblijf waard.

Er zijn wat trappen wat onhandig is met een grote koffer. Ontbijtmogelijk was aan de late kant voor mij, maar ik heb ook niet gevraagd of er een eerdere mogelijkheid was.

The downstairs sea view room has no privacy as it is facing the stairs into the hotel , bar and patio. Having to close the curtains for privacy means you cannot enjoy the sea view you are paying for. There is also a huge patio umbrella smack bang in the middle of the window. There was no room service on the second day with no apology or explanation from staff. We had to ask for tea , coffee, milk , toilet roll and towels. The member of staff seemed quite irritated by our request. (I have to add the female staff the day before who checked us in was friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. The room seemed very run down and the window was filthy on the inside. Expected more for the price and won’t be staying there again.

Overpriced hotel with tired rooms. Room had been styled well but the bathroom and room itself was tired and needed an upgrade. The staff, location and breakfast were good but the price of the room didn't match the experience provided.

Parking was quite far away and there were a lot of stairs to our room which was at the top of the house. During the heatwave it was incredibly hot and stuffy, although they did provide a fan.

It's a lovely friendly hotel. The staff are incredibly can do. The room was spacious with a sea view. The breakfast was simple and delicious.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was really nice, good size, fanatic view of the sea. Bed was extremely comfy. Dyson fan in room, tea and coffee facilities including green tea (extra star). Nice shower with vegan toiletries (another extra star). Went to sleep with the sound of the sea. Breakfast was brilliant, they are so accommodating at this hotel. Overall an excellent experience. Top rated and vegan friendly.

The room was very comfortable, with a lovely view of the sea. We were allowed to check in early, which was super helpful as we had a wedding to attend, so had a little more time to change. Breakfast was very nice, and they catered well for my veganism.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a small, relaxed bar in the basement with some very good beers. As we were travelling during the heatwave, the air conditioned room was a huge bonus! The seafront location is great with easy access to local restaurants and other facilities.

My particular room was quite stuffy although I had been supplied with a fan.

It was in a great location. The room we had was air conditioned so it was amazing during the heatwave. It was modern & clean. The staff were excellent and very helpful. There were ironing facilities in the room. We were able to leave our suitcase there before check in and it had been taken to our room when we got back. We didn’t have breakfast but were given pastries & bottles of water when we left which was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The only thing we could suggest would be a small fridge in the room.

Nothing. The place was a dump infested with flying and crawling insects. It was obviously very old with no care for maintenance or upkeep.

The room was in the attic with no cooling and extreme heat coming through the roof. Great pretence was made of a dyson fan which did nothing. Had to leave my door open all of the time just to get some level of ventilation. Informed could not open the windows more than an inch dew to pigeon shit.

The staff were very welcoming and the hotel is in a good location, on the sea front. The bathroom was large, and the toiletries were wonderful. The breakfast didn't disappoint and was delicious, made with quality, local ingredients.

The parking is a real problem. Nothing free anywhere near except from 8pm until 8am. I I thought I'd booked the sea view room, which is large with chairs looking at the sea. We had a small room at the back of the property. It was warm and the window wouldn't open. However, there was an air conditioning unit that helped. The people/person in the room above us was noisy. You could hear every footstep, flush of the toilet and them using the shower. No good when they are really (really) early risers. I wouldn't have booked this room at this price.

Tolles Pub-Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage. Das Auto kann bequem in der Nähe parkiert werden. Unser Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt, die Betten sehr komfortabel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Pub mit seinem ausgezeichneten Essen und der angenehmen Atmosphäre. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Great location. Friendly staff. Air con in the room was welcome given the sudden heatwave! Like that milk is provided in a thermos flask rather than little plastic pots. Breakfast was tasty, plenty of tea provided. Nice toiletries in the bathroom, good shower.

We didn't have a great view (back of buildings) - not that we had much time to appreciate it anyway. Light came in around the edge of the blind early in the morning so not great if you're easily woken (like me).

I ‘upgraded’ to the rooftop room, but regretted this in hindsight as the downstairs rooms look more light and airy with big windows. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable.
