We had a lovely welcome by Kajal, she was really friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, bedding and towels were excellent. Breakfast as good as any 5 star hotel.
Slight problem for a person with mobility issues with the stairs however Kajal was once again very helpful. Bathroom taps were stiff however it was noted by the maintenance man who was going to notify plumber.
Lovely staff, big room with a nice view
Lift not working and it doesn't look like it's temporary, parking is off street at cost. The hotel parking is two small spaces through a very narrow road
Hotel Right on seafront. Had sea facing room, picture perfect view. A particularly pleasant lovely lady who worked at reception and the breakfast area was exceptionally kind and could not do enough to help customers. Breakfast dining area clean and pleasant, with wide choice of food and beverages avaliable . They catered for gluten free too. Hotel room, had kettle and choice of tea and coffee sachets. Bottles of water , which was nice surprise. Fresh towels each day.
Room furniture a little dated, but functional. Lift did not appear to work.

Never seen it
Got moved twice
Moved us to a completely different hotel with worse facilities without notice or reimbursement. Beds in the new place were broken.
Excellent room and view
Excellent clean accommodation in a central location for beach and town and with a warm friendly welcome from the staff. Brilliant Breakfast.
Short notice booking, very helpful. Breakfast was lovely.
Very close to the sea being on the promenade and also close to town.
It’s a little tired - the shower wasn’t the best and one of the lights in the bathroom didn’t work. But it was clean.
Clean and convenient
Paying for parking and parking hours were not suitable for a lie in !
Sea front Breakfast and breakfast staff where great Comfortable beds
Bathroom not clean on arrival Toilet not flushing properly Lift not working
The reception staff and staff in general were very welcoming, useful and helpful
The location on the waterfront was excellent The included breakfast was also excellent
Soiled linens from the cleaning crew dotted the halls as we made our way up the stairs. Our first room was not made up when we were given keys so we retreated in disgust. The replacement offered us was adequate but tired. No view but the bed was comfortable. Obviously the premium rooms are the ones with the views. Clearly not you get what you pay for. The lounge and bar area was occupied by staff ironing sheets so was not inviting
Staff were friendly and helpful breakfast was lovely lots of choice
Nothing
Location for the price. Bottle of water on room were nice. Pet friendly
We were on loft room No lift Water pressure very low
Actually this review is for FOUR SEASONS hotel as Queensbridge only had room on 4th floor. Impossible for our abilities. Helpful receptionist arranged transfer to FOUR SEASONS one street away. The staff there were excellent.s
Na
Very friendly and helpful staff
Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom. I there had been the four occupants in the room instead of just me it would have been horrendous dealing with all the towels and nowhere to hang them
Horriblw. Room door cozld not be locked or even ckosed because irmtvwas broker. Absolutely not ckean.
Marital the receptionist was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly as was the other receptionist. The kitchen staff were brilliant , friendly & accomodating. Location was excellent. Mattress was comfy.
There was a stain on one of the duvets. it didn't affect us as we didn't use that bed , nor did I report it until departure but am confident it would have been addressed at the soonest opportunity had I done so. It did impact my 1st impression though.
property was in a great location, beds were comfortable, breakfast was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We had my elderly parents with us and were allocated the top floor, the manager couldn’t apologise enough that she could not get them anything but n a lower floor, which we appreciated. She put my Dad n the landlord ft and ran up stairs to meet him to ensure he was ok
Nothing
Loved it perfect location was stuck in the window watching the waves most ov the night.lovely and clean.we were gutted we missed breakfast has we had too leave a lit earlier than expected.would definately stay again.great location
Nothing
The surrounding are pretty quiet except the seagulls in the morning but I don't mind that at all. Very close to the sea. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff that made me feel welcome.
I was on fourth floor and there were about 78 steps from the front of the property. No extractor fan in the shower/toilet.
Located directly on the seaside. Nice staff at breakfast.
Breakfast in a window-less room in the basement. Worn and spotty carpet in the room. Dusty bathroom. No towels at our arrival.
Great location with seaview. Decent breakfast, though would be nice if have more options such as some croissants for those who likes light breakfast. Staff is generslly friendly. However, as to housekeeping, its poorly managed. Coffee n teas and drinking bottles are not replenished. So did the toiletries. Misleading information given on the advertisement. Lift only fit for a petite person (Only ONE) at a time and not working properly. A death trap as I was stuck in there, buzzing emergency to seek help to get out!!. The shower is not working properly, some days have hot water, some days none.
Hot breakfast was lovely good enough selection for family. Attentive service even personal choice of eggs offered for my picky boy 😁
The staff at The Queensbridge are exceptional! 10/10 friendly, kind, helpful and hardworking. They were absolutely fantastic with our son an extra shout out goes to Kaja (apologies if I have misspelled your name) Anything we needed they did their best to accommodate, a later check in, extra in room sundries, a fan etc We are extremly appreciative
Some minor facility issues
The lady who was cooking breakfast was very pleasant and helpful.
The lift doesn't go to the 4th floor and can't be used after 9.00pm. My husband struggles with mobility and uses a walking stick. The lift stopped working altogether while we were there. We, therefore, had to have a room on a lower floor, which had 2 extra beds in it, making it very cramped. We had a lot of luggage as we had been touring, and we struggled to get up the very narrow and steep stairs. The room facilities were very poor and not as listed. The tea/ coffee machine was, in fact, just a kettle. There was no tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, or mineral water. The reception closed while we were out, so we were not able to ask about this. The wardrobe, which had no doors, was unusable as it had a bed in front of it. Wires from the TV hung dangerously over this bed. The room and furnishings were very shabby, and the carpet was awful. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the room. In fact, the cleanliness of the hotel in general leaves a lot to be desired. The lasting impression is of a place well past its prime.
The staff were very helpful and good fun to chat with
Location is great and front room is very nice, breakfast is great too
Good location and friendly staff.
Room booked not like photos and not as described. Room not cleaned. Dodgy lift.
Marita is an Amazing host and everyone else were great, we felt part of the family, everything was perfect for us, Thank you so much, see you All very soon , Love Yvonne and paul ( paul helped with curtain rail 🤣 xx
Campervan blocking view from terrace 😔
Nothing as we didnt even get to stay there. We recieved a phone call on the morning of check in date telling us there was a problem with the room. They had moved us to their sister hotel. Specifically booked this hotel for the sea view, the sister hotel was around the back street.
Near the beach nice view
Needs to be maintained better
Fabulous breakfast
Price, Location, Comfort, Friendly Team, excellent breakfast, will be back
Breakfast was poor, greasy, instant coffee served in teapots! Location was fantastic
Very run down throughout. Lift very poor didn’t go to every floor and stopped working during use. Lock on room door needed replacing you would struggle to get out in a fire. Some of the toiletries had already been used (disgusting) curtains were filthy and falling off the rail. Overall deco very poor, hand sanitizers on every floor were empty. One girl serving breakfast would lay the table and then clean around the supposedly clean cups and cutlery. No parking even though advertised as 1 parking space.
Location is excellent
Lift was out of order, had to get my son to carry my cases as I have recently recovered from back issue. Found a hair wrapped around bacon 🤢 which put me off eating and multiple hairs in shower/bath and on the beds. All dark and long hairs gutted as location is excellent.
U get what u paid for. Check in fast. Check in is at 3pm and check out 10am. Excellent location seafront and by the shops Breakfast was very good cater for veggie/vegan Rooms was standard. Lift out of order so had to walk up to 3rd floor with suitcase so if ur mobility not good it would be difficult for you. Kettle and tea coffee provided in room
Excellent value for money
No parking
Very good breakfast. Fantastic staff!
Location was a lovely quiet area Breakfast was great Staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms were far too hot and only one small window opened. Booked a sea view room. To be told on arrival there was none available so had a back room by a fire escape stairway
Breakfast was very good. Lovely staff
The stairs and the lift but I understand it is an old property. The room was very small
Very clean, yes it’s a bit dated but for what we paid it was excellent value for money. The breakfast and the staff in the breakfast room are a credit to the hotel .
The views and the breakfast.
Very hot in the room even with the window open. A fan would have helped.
The location
The room was on top floor and lift wasn’t working all the time
Location is the only good thing about the hotel, as it is situated on the promenade in Aberystwyth. However the hotel is in bad need of a complete makeover as the facilities and comfort are sub-standard.
Towels were threadbare and windows did not close properly in the room. The temperature was unbearable but no fans were provided and noise from a building next door was disturbing. The carpets and fittings were worn and dated and the staircase to the breakfast room was so steep as to be dangerous. The breakfast room was an airless basement with only mediocre food.
Staff were so welcoming & friendly. Beds were very comfortable & seafront location! Rooms were clean. Breakfast was lovely & catered for coeliac no problem.
Nothing really. It was basic but very comfortable. The staff are wonderful!
Good location near the beach/promanade. The staff during breakfast service is very friendly but food was limited .
We stayed here during the summer heatwave, and unfortunately the hotel has no air conditioning. What made it even worse was that no fans were available or provided, making the room unbearably hot—it felt more like a sauna than a hotel room. To make matters worse, this was not the room we booked. We reserved a triple room for three adults but were given a room with four beds (one double and two single beds), leaving almost no space to move around or store our luggage. The room was cramped, uncomfortable, and not what we had paid for. A fan and the correct room would have made a huge difference. Sadly, our two-night stay was very disappointing, and we would not recommend staying here during warm weather.
The lift was handy...
Nothing
Was passable but a bit over priced
Hotel bins directly under our only window ,weather was realy hot and couldn't keep window open due to flys and smell. Cooked breakfast was not very nice to eat also
Quiet location at the end of the promenade. Comfortable bed. Decent breakfast provided.
Bathroom suite very dated, climbing in the bath for a shower, basin taps impossible to get your hands under. Bedroom window had heavily cracked Georgian wired glass which was not recent damage. Pre-warned hotel weeks before about perfume allergies and requested unscented soap. Nothing suitable was provided and when questioned told me they have one brand only and they wouldn’t provide anything else. Also requested a room not on the top floor due to physical difficulties- was told not to worry, they have a lift. Room provided wasn’t served by the lift. The lift was out of order, compounded by the restaurant being at basement level. Stairs everywhere. An expensive stay for such a low grade of hotel.
The location was good. The breakfast was very good. The lady in charge of the breakfast room was excellent at her job.
We were on the top (attic) floor on a sweltering day/night in a tiny room with sloping ceilings and a small window. It was awful. We were fortunate that a kind employee managed to find a fan for us (and took it up to the room). But we were shocked that one wasn’t provided as a matter of course in such a tiny airless space. Make sure you check which floor you are on before booking. Fellow guests we spoke to who were on Floors 1 and 2 seemed happy enough.
Location, size of the room, table and chairs provided, bay window and view.
Some of the furniture was a bit dated and worn. The bathroom could do wiht some repairs.
Das Frühstück war im Untergeschoss. Alles da was man braucht!
Der Fussboden hat sehr geknarrt!
Sea view good, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, breakfast was nice
Didn't have a fan in the room, did ask for 1 but he said he needed it, wasn't impressed, beer in the bar fridge was warm, and expensive, bottle of cider and a John smiths was a tenner, and warm, didn't have any pint glasses, telephone in the room wasn't even attached, it was in the draw, should of been a bit cheaper for what I paid for the room, wasn't worth the money to be honest, and didn't sleep that well as it was warm and had the window open all day and night, don't know why they didn't supply fans as the weather as been boiling and thought they would have them in the rooms
The room I booked wasn't available, but the hotel transferred me to a sister hotel which was better situated.
Clean and comfortable early check in
The bed, although small was very comfortable. We had a lovely view of the ocean from our room.
Lovely hotel on Aberystwyth seafront. Nice and clean and welcoming on arrival. The hotel only has 2 car park spaces and we didnt have a sea view so that’s why I’ve gave it 4 stars. Local parking is available just round the corner for £7 for 24 hrs. £15 a night for dog but book direct with hotel to better price for room. Quiet at night and lovely mattress so got a great sleep. The breakfast was the biggest surprise. It’s served in the bottom of hotel and the ladies couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was hot and tasty. Would definitely return when back in the area.
Location and cleanliness Also a reasonable breakfast
No hot water for a shower Communal ‘bar’ very poor and wasn’t even opened for us No view at all from our room apart from some decking area that was closed off as unsafe
Douche viel tegen (zachte straal)
We were disappointed as they moved us to a different place as they said they had problem with some of their rooms and we were looking forward to staying on the sea front.
Location
Paid for sea view room Was given a family room at the back
The location was excellent
Lack of parking as the road parking is now very restricted and is charged
Nichts
Completely disappointing!
Great location, friendly helpful staff , great breakfast, reasonable prices.
Council now charge for parking outside the front of Hotel, we were ok as on motorcycles and could use the limited parking available
A spacious room Nice helpful staff. Breakfsst was of a good standard.
The fact lift didnt go to breakfast room.
Nothing
We booked a double room with sea view We got a very cramped room with three beds in it no sea view we were on the third floor with no lift
Lift out of order our room was on the 4 floor we were not told this when we booked the window in our room had a crack from lett to right told they could not change rooms we only saw three other family's we didn't stay the second day my wife has lung and heart problems
lovely little hotel
Breakfast service and View
-
The breakfast was excellent.10 out of 10
IT WAS ALL VALUE FOR MONEY9
The staff are lovely, really helpful. Location is perfect for beach and town centre
The decor is dated and the windows need updating
The staff were very polite
I was told sea view did not get one the hotel is run down and in despairate need of decoration
Nothing.
We was on the 4th floor, no wardrobes for the clothes, 7 flights of stairs to the rooms because the lift was broken, then the hotel said that we was not entitled to free breakfasts as the booking and payment went through 3rd party, not happy although it said that breakfast was included on the booking and paperwork. As the stairs was to much trouble and the relation we was with could not manage the stairs, Reception managed go get us in there sister hotel next morning for the remainder of the stay, and we made sure we got breakfast in the morning.
The staff were lovely ..very helpful
Parking
Not a lot, receptionist was helpful and friendly enough but not a lot else to like
Room although described as best was tired bathroom floor sandy, bottom of doors chipped ok for student but very very poor value for money £130 1 night, surrounded by student accommodation. Not pleasant stay at all. Never again
Nothing as we got a last-minute cancellation. Never stayed at hotel. Cancellation was due to plumbing system out of action apparently?. They were good enough to rebook at another hotel. The four seasons hotel in which we had another problem. The only good thing about the four seasons was a great breakfast. Thank-you.
We booked this hotel (queensbridge) being down on the front, which would have been brilliant. But due to the cancellation within 4hrs of arrival? (Due to an apprent plumbing problem) My special needs adults (son & daughter in law) who were occupying the room were transferred to a back room in a hotel located in the centre (four seasons hotel). We appreciate this BUT!! Due to this, they were subjected to a barage of noise from a party opposite until 1am in the morning. Not excepabale!! Being special needs and didn't quite understand what is excepabale and not and didn't understand that they could have complained? The double bed was just two singles pushed together?? We will be complaining on thete behalf at a later date.
Location is perfect. Lovely breakfast.
Wasn’t advised on check in where breakfast was served or what time.
Great location at the beach. Dog friendly (though there is £10/night charge which is more than usual in the UK but staff were really lovely and apologetic about the miscommunication about this so not a big deal. But good to know) Quiet and comfortable. Of course it could do with an update but I think the price reflects this fairly and people should just pay more if they want something fancier/more modern. A nice good sized vegan version of full English (veg sausages, mushrooms, beans, hash browns, tomatoes), better than I’ve had in more expensive places. Really lovely and friendly staff. I would happily stay there again.
Parking is on the promenade and usually really busy. Only 4h free during day time, so can be tricky and something to be aware off. It is due to become pay to park so could be expensive in the future if the hotels/guest houses don’t get any free parking permits from the council for their customers. The stairs to the rooms are steep so anyone with mobility issues might struggle if the lift isn’t working. Again, not anything negative, just something to be aware of.

Close to the beach
Bit outdated
Comfortable bed, clean room, tea & coffee facilities in room, great TV channel selection. Happy to cater for gluten-free breakfast on request. Very helpful, friendly staff
Very poor shower pressure, soundproofing commensurate with an old building. Very limited parking on-site.
We never stayed at this hotel was transferred to fourseasons hotel which was very poor we only stayed 1 night because of it
Old uneven mattress..no seaview that we paid for...also table held together with mastic ...old curtain with paint stains and television where speaker was blown and could not hear it
Breakfast was good and the ladies working it were lovely and very accommodating.
When booking on booking.com it states that the double room is with a sea view. The room was incredibly cramped, with 2 extra beds in there you can hardly open the door making it a fire risk.
room was very spacious and had a bath very warm welcoming staff especially the lady who servers the breakfast and does laundry she goes that extra mile to meet your needs and lovely to chat with i defo will be returning very soon

Lovely location
Location
Veldig hyggelig personale ved frokosten.
Renholdet kunne vært bedre. Personalet i resepsjonen virket lite oppmerksom. Heisen fungerte ikke. Svært mye lyd fra havet/bølger. Lyddempende vinduer hadde vært en ide? Vinduene var umulige å åpne.
good breakfast, great location, nice staff, good value for money
no parking

Lovely breakfast with friendly staff
Staff were very pleasant. Excellent sea view right across the road from hotel.
Lift was out of order and our room was on third floor. Sixty steps including front door steps.
