Everything was great in this hotel, unique experience and location

The view from our room and balcony was outstanding. We were situated high above the lake and could see the whole mountain range on the other side, as well as much of the lake itself. The garden and grounds were beautiful, and the internal decor was remarkable - richly ornamented with high quality materials and entirely in keeping with the 19th century Victorian origins of the hotel without being at all heavy and gloomy as many such interiors are. (Don't go here looking for modern design) The public areas and dining terrace overlooking the lake were delightful. The staff were without exception attentive, cheery and very pleasant.

We had no air-conditioning in the room, and the weather was hot. But that seemed in a way appropriate for the style of the hotel and was acceptable. There was a small problem with shortage of staff for one meal, but all those present worked extremely hard to compensate and were suitably apologetic. The hotel is a long way above Montreux, but there is a mountain railway station nearby if the drive is a bit arduous.

Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ontbijt was heel goed veel keuze. De locatie is schitterend, mooi uitzicht op het meer en prachtige tuin en zwembad.

Niets, alles was zoals gewenst. Ik kan niets opnoemen voor verbetering. 1 min puntje is dat er geen safe was voor persoonlijke spullen.

Breakfast is an amazing buffet that you can eat on the patio with a beautiful view. The view from my room was just insane. They upgrade my room to a large bed and room with a balcony, and it started off my stay so well. There was even some fruit, cookies, and sparkling water in my room to welcome me. And breakfast was included in my rate which started off my days so easily.

Although it's tandard in Europe, it was so hot at times without any air conditioning. There was some noises that happened at night and woke me up. I had the balcony door open at night for cooler air so it made things a little louder. Some more power outlet adapter options for guests or even some USB outlets would be great. But it possible to go buy one from the Forum Montreux mall in the city.

Can be hard to get to the main part of Montreux. That said, at times it was lovely to be removed from the fray and in such a lovely location

The position and views from this hotel are fabulous. The Belle Epoque style felt wonderful , a real treat.

Wir hatten - nach einem grosszügigen Upgrade - ein Zimmer mit Seeblick. Die Aussicht auf den Genfersee und die Berge ist spektakulär. Toll ist auch der Pool im Garten. Das Haus ist ein antikes Jugendstil-Schmuckstück - sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück reichlich und sehr gut, sogar frische Früchte und Lachs waren da. Für den Besuch in Montreux haben wir die urchige Zahnradbahn genutzt; 5min. vom Haus entfernt und mit Gästekarte kostenlos. Den hauseigenen Parkplatz haben wir sehr geschätzt.

Jammern auf hohem Niveau: der kleine Lift ist oft besetzt. Treppensteigen ist gesund...

Vollkommen zufrieden! Alles sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet, atemberaubende Aussicht. Frühstück sehr vielfältig und für jeden was dabei. Sehr nahe an der Zahnrad und Standseilbahn die einen super ÖV anschluss Bieten und ein tolles Erlebnis sind.

Leider am Abend Küchengeruch von Fritteuse im Zimmer, trotz 5. Stock. Wenn Fenster geschlossen war es besser.

Wunderschönes, historisches Hotel, traumhafte Aussicht und Ambiente. Freundliches Personal und eine exzellente Küche. Es hat uns sehr gefallen und können es nur weiter empfehlen.

I have stayed several times in this wonderful period piece hotel in the hills high above Montreux. Superficially it is frozen in time, with much of its original architecture unchanged and an amazing collection of antique paintings and other artifacts on display in the public rooms. But unlike in other hotels that are simply "old" there is no sign of "faded glory" at the Victoria. On the contrary, everything is first class, from the quality of the rooms to the standards of food and service in the restaurant and bar. And the view from the hotel across Lake Geneva is out of this world. I look forward to my next visit!

Le cadre est magnifique, tout est calme. Le personnel est très attentionné, nous avons passé un week-end merveilleux. Le funiculaire est également très pratique pour descendre sans voiture à Montreux.

L'hôtel Victoria donne une vue imprenable sur le lac et les montagnes, ce qui rend vraiment idyllique le réveil avec cette vue. Le personnel est au petit soin, l'endroit est calme et intimiste, parfait pour une escapade en couple. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et de qualité, et nous avons également bénéficié d'un apéritif offert dans le cadre de la fête nationale, qui a été très apprécié

Venue célébrer mon anniversaire, ce que j'avais préciser à ma réservation, j'aurai aimé une petite attention dans la chambre ou à mon arrivée pour rendre ce moment encore plus special. Il ne faisait pas encore trop chaud le weekend où nous étions là, alors le ventilateur était suffisant, mais en période de très fortes chaleurs, le manque de climatisation peut rendre vite la chambre bien trop chaude.

Die Lage ist top! Mir gefiel das Interieur im Grossen und Ganzen. Der Garten ist wunderbar!

Teilweise etwas gar veraltet, z. B. die vergilbte Badewanne. Die Minibarpreise sind m. E. zu hoch.

The view was exceptional

There was no air conditioning and the beds were made with heavy feather duvets which made sleeping very uncomfortable! We booked an expensive room with balcony & lakeview so expected at least a kettle or coffee maker & a safe but none available.

Pas de climatisation. Un ventilateur à disposition. Mais avec la canicule très difficile de dormir sous cette chaleur même en laissant tout ouvert la nuit. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de service à la piscine

Wunderschöner Garten und tolle Terrasse zum Essen. Gute französische Küche. Erstklassiger Service.

Das Frühstück kommt etwas lieblos daher. Es hat oft zu wenig Brot und zu wenig Fleisch. Wenn man ein 3-Minuten Ei will, wird man vom Personal auf einen Topf verwiesen, wo die Eier bereits hart sind. So geht das nicht in dieser Preisklasse.

Room was very basic, it had no windows apart from the door. Since it was ground floor and basically oponed up to the terrace, there was no privacy. Inside, room was old and basic - not up to the overall standard The bed was comfortable though

Amazing view and location

First, the views were spectacular. When we got to the room we immediately went to the balcony, cracked open the white wine from the mini bar, and spent an hour taking it in. The room itself was very nice and spacious, if perhaps a bit tired. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom serviceable. Not lux, but pretty darn good for the price during the jazz festival. Getting to the town/lakefront on the funicular was easy and quick. Taxi to the train station with luggage about 25CHF. We’d stay here again.

Tolle Lage mit fantastischer Aussicht. Sehr gepflegte Anlage und Park. Sehr angenehmer und professioneller Empfang.

erschreckend schlechter Service im Restaurant. Laufen sehr desorientiert hin und her. Dabei übersehen sie den Gast. Stehen auch öfter zusammen und reden nur miteinander. Das erweckte den Eindruck einer führungslosen Truppe.

Alles gut.

Frühstück hat noch Optimierungsbedarf.

Der Poolbereich und der Garten waren wunderschön. Auch das Zimmer war gross und gediegen.

Wenn man Getränke im Garten bestellen wollte (Apèro) musste man sehr lange auf das Personal warten.

Excellent service, great room and terrific views. I would thoroughly recommend spending a weekend there.

Die Aussicht war das einzige Highlight

Zimmerausstattung war Standard, Steht in schlechtem Verhältnis zum Preis, Keine Klimaanlage, nur Ventilator Komplett entspricht das nicht der Ausschreibung, Jaccusi war eine alte Badewanne mir Düsen, Zweites Badezimmer nur WC Vom Abendessen und vom Person sehr enttäuscht, Service sehr schlecht und unfreundlich, finde das Hotelgäste bevorzugt werden sollten bei Tisch Auswahl, ….. Wir haben den zweiten Abend auswärts gegessen, da ich unseren 6 Freunde das nicht zugemutet habe.

Das Frühstücksbüffet hat noch Luft nach oben. Mehr Früchte, zBsp. Erdbeeren, Ansnas. Der Fruchtsalst wirkt sehr lieblos. Es hat zu wenig suf dem Büffettisch. Zu wenig Schinken, zu wenig Salami, etc.

C’est un hôtel magnifique. Un emplacement de rêve. Le personnel est serviable, gentil et attentionné. Tout était parfait!

Fabulous location above Montreaux with wonderful views. The restaurant and service were both superb.

The only down side is the lack of air conditioning but to retro fit onto such an old building would be difficult

Außergewöhnliches Hotel auf dem Berg 400 Meter über Montreux. Das Zimmer hatte eine Sicht weit über den Genfersee. Der Gartenbereich war groß und schön. Alle Zimmer und Aufenthaltsräume waren mit Kunstgegenständen und Gemälden geschmückt. Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung. Mit Zug oder Zahnradbahn ist man in wenigen Minuten unten am See bzw. im Zentrum von Montreux.

Avant tout le service a l’ancienne: Respect et l’accueil l’amabilité du personnel et la qualité des repas, vins dans le chic « britannique à l’ancienne «  À refaire avec grand plaisir.

Tout sauf les chambres un peu vieillottes, douche par exemple, mais la literie est top.

Tout. C’est un magnifique hôtel entouré d’un grand parc avec une vue a couper le souffle sur le lac Leman. Nous avons été très bien accueillies et nous avons apprécié chaque moment passé dans ce décor bel époque.

Das Hotel hat einen aussergewöhnlichen Charme. Ein beseelter Ort voller Gastfreundschaft und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Tolle Aussicht auf den Genfersee, sehr leckeres Frühstück - einfach alles perfekt! Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Zimmer - sehr gut und bequem Frühstück - sehr gut überall Lage - Supperrr s, Personal - sehr gut geschult und höflich.

Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, im Zimmer Tee oder Kaffee zuzubereiten. Wir finden keine Obst im Frühstück. Die Speisenauswahl war sehr begrenzt.

Wir die Kurzauszeit sehr genossen. Das Hotel entspricht total unserem Genre. Die Lage ist optimal. Gut ausgebildetes und sprachgewandtes Personal eine immer gute und zuvorkommende Bedienung.

Etwas irritiert hat uns das Frühstück. Hier ist noch viel Luft nach oben, wenn man die angebotenen Frühstückbuffets von anderen Hotels in der gleichen Preisklasse zum Vergleich heranzieht. Aber eben, auf hohem Niveau gejammert. Sorry.

Magnifique hotel belle époque au confort irréprochable. Le personnel est particulièrement sympathique et aimable. La piscine, les transat, le jardin, la vue, les fleurs..c est un vrai coin de paradis. Les chambres sont grandes et extrêmement confirtable. Petit présent de départ, eau offerte pour la randonnée: bravo! Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir. Un Havre de paix et de beauté. Bravo à toute l équipe.

S il faut chipoter, le petit déjeuner pourrait être légèrement étoffé et amélioré avec un cake fait maison, du jus d orange frais pressé, des fruits frais...à 9h il manquait déjà de tout...croissants ( il en restait 5), plus de fruits, plus de lait... Pas de pankakes ou une tarte maison...Pour un 4 étoiles on pourrait imaginer un peu plus de choix et un bon achalandage un dimanche à 9h. Sinon la terrasse où se prend le petit déjeuner est exceptionnelle. Une suggestion: proposer un tea time avec une pâtisserie du jour.

Die Lage des Hotels ist kaum zu übertreffen: der Blick auf den Genfer See ist wunderschön. Da nimmt man die Spitzen bei der Anfahrt gerne in Kauf… Nach Montreux kommt man bequem mit der Bergbahn und– wenn man nicht so viel zu Fuß gehen möchte – dem Bus. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, hatte viel Stauraum, ein extra kleines Zimmer für Gepäck und zwei Badezimmer. sehr gutes Frühstück, vor allem Lachs und Schinken. Es gibt auch eine gemütliche Bar.

Die Aufteilung bei der Einrichtung der Badezimmer hat uns nicht so richtig eingeleuchtet: ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne und Bidet, das andere mit Dusche und Toilette. Die Einrichtung der Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Je nach Wetter kann es beim Frühstück im Wintergarten sehr kühl werden. Beim Käse wäre etwas mehr Auswahl schön.

Hat meine persönlichen Erwartungen vollends gedeckt.

お部屋からの景色は最高でした。スタッフも丁寧で良い印象をうけました。建物は古いですが、豪華で素敵、今度は夏に泊まりたいです。

C’est toujours un grand bonheur de revenir dans ce merveilleux endroit. Le personnel est d’une gentillesse remarquable. Un accueil exceptionnel . Le restaurant digne d’un étoilé. Un énorme merci à vous.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel avec un petit enfant ; le personnel était très aimable et serviable, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. L’hôtel avec caractère, chambres très confortables et spacieuses.
