The location and the staff
Parking
Great location and value for money
Parking difficult but not a major issue as public car parking nearby
Wonderful location and facilities .
Location, staff attitude.
Restaurant busy at peak times, but staff helpful with other options.
Comfortable and friendly
Bathroom was a little on the small side
Location excellent. View amazing. Hotel comfortable and relaxing. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely stay. The extra large double bed was soooo comfortable!
The drains in the bathroom were a bit smelly, and the hotel room was chilly. No heating on, did ask, and they said they would put it on, but the two heaters remained cold. There is no way of controlling it yourself, and we paid extra to have a suite, but there is no point in more space if you are cold. The main hotel had no heating on either, but people generally had coats on. There was a real fire in the bar, which was lovely
It was a very relaxing hotel, food was good, breakfast lots of variety, the pool was relaxing sauna lovely and hot.
The room was lovely but furnishings looked a little worn, ripped sofa cushions made it difficult to relax on, would have preferred a room with a walk in shower rather than a bath in that level of room
Location and peace absolutely perfect
We where in room 303 and although everything was clean well presented , I felt £350 for such a small room was a a little over priced
Location
Staff attitude towards our issues
Stayed before, breakfast was plentiful with good choice, also choice of seating areas. Very comfortable room.
Not much. The furniture/bathroom in our room showing some wear and tear but being picky here.
Great location

Style and location
Wi fi was poor in the room and restaurant areas. Food was basic and to be honest a big let down, we expected à la carte as of a previous visit from pre Covid.
The whole place was spotless and nicely decorated. The food was good. The atmosphere was friendly. All the staff were very professional, polity and extremely friendly.
There wasn’t enough plug sockets in the room by the beds for phone and watch charging.
Lovely clean hotel and room
The price of the food in the area is high, some outlets better than others
Friendly helpful staff Lovely old premises Great swimming pool and sauna
Insecure wifi - not good enough for a hotel of this calibre. Bedside lamp switch button was out of reach behind the bed so each time I wanted to turn it on or off I had to get out of bed and move the bedside table and reach behind the bed. So inconvenient and difficult to do. All it needed was a longer extension lead. I did mention it to Reception and they did send someone to sort it but it only moved a fraction. It needs sorting as some people would not be able to manage it. I had a real struggle each time I used the lamp.
Nice location
It was all nice
Receptionist gave me a new room, which was freezing. She put the heating in, so was much better
There was a blue bottle in my first room. The second room was freezing
The gutters leaked outside our room and kept us awake all night. The bathroom was tired and bath panel was rotted. Not worth the price. We reported the gutters the nest morning and were told they should have been repaired last week. Obviously an on going issue so why do they let this room out? Very unprofessional. Thumbs down from us.
Everything except the beds
The bed was uncomfortable it sloped down at the sides
Cosy vibes and beautiful location Very happy with our room and the size of the bed was great, overall was spacious and pleasant decor Reception staff were fab- super friendly and helpful
The bath was quite marked and we had a dripping tap, shower was quite weak and overall bathroom was quite tired compared to the rest of the room
quality of full breakfast varied greatly room very good size. quality of food was good at evening meal
bath was far to big in every way and was hard to get in and out of as we are short people car parking is a very big problem
Gorgeous hotel, excellent location.Room lovely with a view over fields. Dining experience good.Vibrant atmosphere in the hotel.Friendly staff.Good spa, very relaxing.
Nothing, all good.
Everything
Had a chilli which had no kidney beans
Location right in the middle of Grasmere, cleanliness spot on, good breakfast
Parking is limited and not available most of the time. End up re-parking every day to avoid parking penalty. Very small pool not fit for swimming.
We loved how quiet, slow and sleepy it was in grasmere. The view from the room was awesome, and it was super nice to relax with a G&T,phones down and play some board games. Would definitely stay here again!
Our room was lovely and what a view. Goodnight sleep as bed was so comfy. Love the tea and coffee unit such a wonderful idea. Added bonus with the pool and sauna.
The only sniggling complaint was that you could do with having another shower near the sauna room
Great location, staff very pleasant, hotel great lovely breakfast
Internet was a little patchy in the hotel, parking limited
Situation. Lots of seating areas, receptionist with long blond hair
Restaurant bit chaotic and food mediocre . Set up of pool lack of signage knowledge of staff
The staff were really friendly, tge food was excellent we will be back for sure
Very welcoming staff, comfortable. Food was incredible. Should out to Thomas who was great !

Location and comfortable, clean room
I think I paid well over the odds for the accommodation. I was surprised to see prices on their website for almost half the price I paid for the visit!
Nice clean room. Some friendly staff in the restaurant. Good location. Nice but small leisure area.
Limited parking, which cost me £30 extra in public car parks away from hotel. My hotel stay was rather expensive in light of this, at £700 for 3 nights. The restaurant food was only average at best but expensive. Good breakfast though.
Location
The Spa was a bit old
Lovely hotel, breakfast is great and the staff are so friendly.

Perfect setting in charming village surrounded by hills. Hotel is spacious with pleasant furnishings and a comfortable ambience. Nice large room and very comfy bed
No where to charge phone at bedside
Good location in the pretty village of Grasmere. Good for exploring the Lake District. Large room (Silver How) with nice bathroom and comfortable bed.
Parking challenging. Welcome wasn’t great. Room was hot and lots of noise on balcony from ventilation system. Balcony appearance also not as nice as photo. Food variety a bit limited.
Location
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming throughout our visit. Breakfast was good and the meal menu was decent. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night, which was convenient and enjoyable. The highlight for the kids was definitely the swimming pool, they enjoyed it the most! Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing stay and would be happy to visit again.

Location, decoration, space, cleanliness and facilities
Parking a little hit and miss, but we have always got parked
Lovely location, really clean and the staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly, helpful and courteous. Nothing was any trouble for them, they did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible
Great location
Sorry this sounds like a moan but i hope it will be raken constructively- i use hotels a lot. Overall feeling that corners were being cut- i expected a ‘luxury’ quality stay but was underwhelmed by cleanliness ( black mould around shower seal, bath gel pots so tightly fixed - almost impossible to get product out, carpet not vacuumed around edges, sticky tops of bedside cabinets, hairdryer burning out). cooked breakfast meagre 1/2 plate-full, breakfast buffet grubby cloth over croissants, no tongs to pick up breads etc, obvious dirt all around sides and back of buffet benches, restaurant meals poorly cooked, tables dirty, not cleared, sticky menus, drain smells in room. Staff lovely and friendly.
Location
Room a bit tired and food ok
The staff, food, spa area, the room was lovely.
Not enough carpark space, but it wasn't a big deal.
Beautiful views right on your doorstep, a lovely bar area, and the swimming pool was an added bonus.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Evening meal and breakfast was very good.
Very nice rooms, clean and tidy and good breakfast on site. Location is in town close to several cafes/restaurants and at the foot of many great hikes.
Breakfast was very good after a good night's sleep in an exultant room. Use of the swimming pool was much needed relax after a full day in the lake district. Thank you very much.
View of the Sun Eclipse was sadly - rubbish.
Quiet, nice pub, good little outdoor patio
All good
The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and very well organised
Rooms were in need of a facelift... mould in shower. Carpets were grubby and needed a refresh as did paintwork and interior decor.
The location was really nice. The property was clean and well presented. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was really comfortable.
Not a lot of parking spaces. There is additional parking close by, at a cost.
Beautiful cosy clean comfortable stay wish it had been longer
Nothing
Loved the location, room and hotel, pool was a bonus
Nothing
Good sized room, nicely decorated, big bathroom. The pool was an added benefit.
Convenient comfortable very good breakfast
Room service was poor it was often late the duvet was straightened and towels changed nothing else Pillows weren’t moved Basin and shower not cleaned Bedding not changed all week
Our arrival and check in was quick and easy. Breakfast included and definately a 10/10 and I'm a fussy eater. Staff are friendly and helpful Facilities are grest as it's got a pool and sauna which is nice after a day walking.
Parking and dropping bags can be difficult at peak times.
Nice place good area for walking
Excellent service, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, perfect location, excellent food
Nothing really, i think the hotel does really well to cater for a broad section of clients
Modern designed internally and in the centre of town. Swimming pool. Parking, albeit not enough. Good menu at breakfast. Water fountain.
Wifi on 3rd floor didn't work. A couple of staff members at breakfast didn't match the hotels dynamic.
Love the pool and breckfast was lovely.
Everything was good
Stunning location in the heart of grasmere
Perfect location and a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great restaurants and bar. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal on our first night in the Conservatory which was excellent value for money. Our breakfasts were also very good to with plenty of choice and great service.
No negatives at all.
The staff were friendly, helpful and professional Location is exceptional
Evening meal was lovely and filling just the right amount
The location was perfect. The village is beautiful and has everything you need from shops to restaurants. It's also central to almost everything in the Lake District - great for exploring. The room exceeded expectations. Since we booked a double room we were expecting it to be a bit cramped, but were pleasantly surprised to find that it came with an attached living area. Not only did it gave us plenty of space for us and our dog, but it was comfortable which is just what you need when you're away from home! The staff were a credit to The Inn, every interaction left us feeling cared for. They were always helpful, kind and pleasant to both me and my partner, and especially our dog who they doted on. It was our first time away in a hotel with our dog so we were worried about bringing her, but they put us at ease from the get go and treated her so well! Another highlight for us was the pool and sauna. It was the main reason we booked the stay and they were both wonderful, especially after a long day of exploring the Lake District. While the stay was on the pricier side of our budget, we ended up finding it great value for money. We'd definitely recommend a stay here and would happily return ourselves!
Our only real issue was a lack of Wi-Fi and signal. It could've just been our room but we did really struggle to get internet and mobile data, when we did it was very slow or would cut out. If internet access is important for you I'd recommend checking ahead of time. I noticed some reviews mentioning the food, and while I agree it wasn't outstanding, it was still decent British pub food. We visited when it was raining and not particularly warm yet our room on the first floor was always hot. There isn't any air conditioning but luckily we had bought a fan for our dog so this wasn't a big deal for us. The only other thing I noticed was the bathroom water being inconsistent. The shower sometimes flicked between hot and cold, especially if someone showers after you, though it only lasted for a few seconds. All in all though this is me nit-picking. Our stay was wonderful and the positives far outweighed the negatives for us. At the end of the day The Inn has been hosting travellers since 1769. If you expect the slight inconveniences of staying a rustic hotel, you will be pleasantly surprised!
Zentrale Lage in Grasmere, Parkmöglichkeiten, hundefreundlich, Frühstücksbüffet in Ordnung.
Preis verhältnismäßig hoch, sehr touristische Gegend eben. Internet funktionierte nicht immer sehr gut.
