아침식사는 정말 푸짐하고 맛있었다. 마을도 아름답고, 윈더미어 호수에 가기도 좋은 위치였다. 아침 조식 후 진저브레드 쿠키를 사러 가면서 산책도 할 수 있었다. 직원들 친절한 건 기본. 호텔 바로 옆에 슈퍼마켓도 있다.

없다. 굳이 얘기하자면, 주차인데.. 차를 주차하기에 넓은 공간은 없었지만, 호텔 앞쪽 도로가에 주차하면 돼서 괜찮았다. 주차 가능 시간은 호텔에 확인하면 좋을 듯.

Staff were very welcoming and check‑in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast selection in the morning was excellent.

La stanza era piccolina ma stupenda, dotata di tutti i comfort e con una cura del dettaglio altissima! Siamo arrivati dopo che la reception ha chiuso e insieme alle chiavi ci hanno fatto trovare biscottini e acqua aromatizzata, un dettaglio che abbiamo molto gradito La struttura è molto elegante, molto ben arredata. La posizione è ottimale e il prezzo super conveniente La colazione è stata stratosferica, tanta scelta e tanta cura al dettaglio

Room finished to good standard, bathroom modern and easy to operate shower, good location. Provision of a brolly, (which was needed)

Parking was a bit limited, stairs quite steep. Variety of ethnic backgrounds amongst staff, sometimes this can lead to misunderstandings both ways. Certainly knows how to rain down there.

Really great, so helpful I couldn’t ask for anything more from the staff. The room was lovely and comfortable, everything was perfect.

The bed was uncomfortable and not a king size as we expected. There was nowhere to sit down with a mirror to do hair and makeup. TV was in a position where you had to sit awkwardly on the bed to watch. The door/window in the bathroom could do with an opaque cover on it so the blind doesn't have to be closed in the daytime making it dark.

Victorian style makes me feel like I am living on that era. I like how the rooms were designed. Simple, clean, functional and I love that there are complimentary coffees and teas

Prachtig elegant huis midden in het mooie dorpje, wij hadden in het bijgebouw een zeer ruime (familie)kamer bestaande uit twee kamers verbonden met de badkamer en klein halletje. Met fantastische comfortabele bedden en een heerlijke ruime douche. Er was koffie, thee en water op de kamer en men serveerde een heel erg goed uitgebreid ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel, hoewel het niet een heel “persoonlijk” huis is.

Beperkte parkeergelegenheid bij het huis zelf, waar we niet op bedacht waren bij de boeking. Wij kozen het verblijf mede vanwege de prive parking zonder extra kosten. Uiteindelijk met tip van receptioniste een parkeerplaatsje kunnen bemachtigen doordat andere gast in de avond met de auto vertrok. We verbleven twee nachten maar er werden tussentijds alleen, op ons verzoek, handdoeken verwisseld, maar bedden werden niet opnieuw opgemaakt, glazen werden niet verschoond enz. Het is een prachtig verblijf maar in onze ogen ook ietwat te prijzig. Over Grasmere: zeer lieflijk dorp maar ook zeer toeristisch. Het dorp heeft meer bedden beschikbaar dan eetgelegenheden, die dan ook nog vrijwel allemaal volgeboekt waren tijdens het weekend. In combinatie met de beperkte (gratis) parkeergelegenheid wilden wij in het dorp blijven en hebben we prima kunnen eten beide avonden maar niet bij onze eerste keus restaurants.

Arrived to birthday balloons & card on bed for partner, such nice thought. Beautiful old building. Infaticible effort from staff towards accomodate guests. Library with maps. Stunning breakfast, placed order with chef, beautifully prepared/presented. Close easy walk to village, shops, more food, lake and easy drive to more serious walks & sights. Loved everything. great price 134 quid.

The property was lovely but be aware there are stairs to the rooms. Rooms are lovely and had little extras supplied. The breakfast room and the outdoor area was great for sitting out at the end of a busy day.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. It is well located, the facilities are excellent, it is always clean and the staff are friendly. We live the extra touches they provide and the fact that they are dog friendly.

For the first time we had a room that we did not enjoy. This was due to the fact that it has NO windows in the bedroom! One of the essentials of visiting the Lakes is to be able to SEE and FEEL them. This room had a small window in the passage way to the bathroom. This meant we had to have the lights on all the time and it felt VERY claustrophobic. The staff are not readily available during the day and we are not good complainers and (especially being regular visitors) we felt we should have been informed that this room was windowless in advance of our stay. We would not have stayed had we known.

Beautiful building, rooms and public areas

Very comfortable, lovely decor, great breakfast and very central.

Only worry was the temp of the shower extremely hot and at times changable or the shower shut itself off. Everything else great.

We stayed in the Shepherd Hut which was fantastic and so beautiful! We loved playing games round the fire pit on the evening after seeing the Solar Eclipse. The staff were lovely and helpful, we would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel with lots of period features, as you would expect in a building of this age. Our room was very comfortable with a nice view over the garden. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. We received a very warm welcome, and as many others have commented, the complimentary cake and iced water was a nice touch. They had also provided a standing fan for our room which was very welcome! Breakfast was amazing, with a good range of options on the menu. The hotel is quite central and easy to find. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and we very much look forward to returning.

Victorian House successfully blends traditional with modernity in its architecture & design, amenities and service, which makes it a unique stay. A friendly, personal welcome along with lemon & cucumber water and flapjacks all helped to make it wonderfully refreshing experience to key codes and cards! The room was very tastefully decorated and spacious, the beds comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a perfect location of Grasmere Village. The homemade breakfast items were delicious.

Not a massive issue but didn't like that there wasn't a fridge in the room, it sometimes nice to have a bottle of cold water or a beer in the room.

The location was very central, Parking was good, reception was calm with water and cakes provided for residents which was a lovely touch. Staff including Susan were well trained and attentive but not too much. Room was lovely and quiet and bathroom spacious and clean. Breakfast was really tasty and again staff on that morning were exceptional. Easy check in when we landed as well

We did arrive a bit earlier than the allocated time of 3pm so could not check in which would have been nice but not too stressful as they did let us park at the earlier time which helped. Also our bedroom looked out onto a flat roof but only had a fire escape onto it so no access, probably a H&S thing but if that could have been tidied up and a little set of table and chairs put out there that would have been lovely especially in this good weather.

View in the top floor was amazing. Beautiful cake and flavoured water on arrival. Staff were so helpful and had an amazing breakfast.

This is the best place we have stayed in a long time. Staff were incredible and super accommodating, everywhere was very clean and bed very comfy, we stayed for a wedding at the Lancrigg and the staff helped us organise a taxi to the venue, great location for lots of other things too. Highly recommend !

The staff are on point, the breakfast is delicious, and all you can hear at night is the lambs. Grasmere is my favorite place to stay in the Lake District. There is a bench along a stream at the back of the property. A Co-Op and pharmacy are next door.

Loved our stay in the Shepard’s hut. Incredibly peaceful, beautiful location, and the team couldn’t be more friendly or do more to help. The hut itself is very nicely done out with a beautiful large bathroom and bath which we made the most of. Breakfast was 10/10 and even our pooch got spoilt with treats and sausages.

It was a little warm in the hut but the provided fan helped
