Reviewed Sep 13, 2026The hotel is right in the middle of the town but we expected it to be on the outskirts. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom but the bathroom could have been cleaner. Breakfast was all self service and a good mixture of hot & cold food.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Very good reception on arrival to the hotel, all tinformation given about the stay in the hotel. Breakfast buffet was a treat, all you wanted. The staff were very helpful, kind, well presented and good humour.
It will be great if the hotel will have a safe secure parking area for motorbikes. So we will not have to worry that people walking down the street sit on it or the bike will fall over accidently causing damage to the bike or injuring people.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Our room was very spacious and clean! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel is amazing: it’s situated right in the middle of Oughterard town with the beautiful Owenriff River and Lough Corrib within walking distance.
We found the car parking a little bit confusing at first. It turned out that the hotel had no designated car park for guests, and only a few spaces out the front. After researching online we discovered that all parking in the town is free, so we managed to find a place in the town car park which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Marian at breakfast was welcoming and checked to make sure everything was good. The room was spacious, 2 rooms. A bit noisy the first night from the pub next door. Dinner was good. The room was dated, the carpet could do with replacing but otherwise clean.
Car parking was available on the street, first come first served but ok.There was a car park further down the street.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026The family room is spacious and clean, and the air conditioning is a big plus, especially with the summer temperatures reaching almost 28°C. Not all hotels in Ireland have air conditioning, so we really appreciated having it.
The only minor issue was the double bed, which made noise whenever we moved. Other than that, everything was okay.

A very unfriendly check in!!! We were completely ignored by the guy behind the desk who saw us standing there and when I asked to check in he just said name? Not exactly a warm Connemara welcome. The buffet was empty when we went for breakfast but a very helpful waitress got us sorted out after a while. Overall we were disappointed with the place.
