Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The room was spacious with a single bed and double. I was at the room at the very front. There were good facilities. Loved the very soft carpet under foot.
The TV was very small but not a huge problem. Being the room at the front where cars park, I felt that I had to keep the blind closed all the time. Not a huge problem though!

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026The host was very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is a easy walking distance from the town centre. Breakfast was excellent - there were the usual youghurt, fruit, bread, etc. and additionally the possibility to order something warm from the list. A special note is that were cut fruits and berries available on the breakfast buffet.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Spotlessly clean and very well kept, with lovely, welcoming hosts. A comfortable and pleasant place to stay in Oughterard and a good location for our overnight stop while cycling.
There wasn’t dedicated secure bike storage, so our bikes had to be left outside. It felt a little expensive for what was quite a straightforward B&B stay, although we appreciate it was peak summer season.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026River Riverwalk House is an outstanding bed and breakfast and it's pretty much perfectly perfect. Ann is a wonderful hostess, always ready to engage in conversation and full of tips for activities and eating spots in the area. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable and shower excellent. Breakfast could not have been better, it had absolutely everything - take a bow Patrick, best scrambled eggs I've had in a long while! And the homemade (by Ann) brown bread is so good! All in all a top establishment.

Anne's warm and very friendly welcome is supported by the location of the B & B, its car park, our superbly comfortable bedroom (with really good lighting for reading), the excellent breakfast with a super range of options and the short 10 minute walk into the town...are all key benefits for guests.
