As a single traveller did not like the small single bed and quilt that barely covered me. Why are we relegated to beds and bedding this size?

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026The room had incredible value, not just for the really comfortable beds but the adjoining living room that we did not expect and greatly appreciated. The breakfast was simple but great quality. The location of the Hotel cannot be beaten, sitting practically on the lakeshore and within a 5 minute walk to so many restaurants and the lakeside entertainment.
That we could only stay one night.

The location is absolutely fantastic right by Lake Zug and in the heart of the beautiful old town. It is one of those places where the surroundings immediately make your stay feel special. What impressed me most was the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel is also spotlessly clean and very well maintained. You can really see the attention to detail and the care that goes into keeping everything at a high standard. Overall, Hotel Löwen am See combines a fantastic location, beautiful surroundings, cleanliness, and outstanding hospitality. I would happily stay here again and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zug. A beautiful hotel with wonderful people definitely a place I will return to! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026De kamers zijn modern, fris en schoon met goede airco. De locatie is leuk aan het plein en meer. Receptiepersoneel in de ochtend is geweldig, in de middag wat minder enthousiast.
Als je pech hebt met de kameraanwijzing kan het zijn dat je een lawaaierige kamer krijgt. Helaas 1 nacht niet goed geslapen hierdoor. Gelukkig was er de 2e nacht een andere kamer, waar ik een stuk beter sliep, vriendelijk en handig opgepakt.

Breakfast was decent but not up to the standard of the overall price and rooms. I think this can be improved, with better breads, better croissants, hot water available for teas and please, elevate the coffee offering, it's quite dark roasted and average. I eventually brought my own coffee because I didn't enjoy it, it tasted like nespresso. A hotel like yours, deserves a proper coffee machine. Maybe even filter coffee of quality. Also the eggs were fine, but you should offer more warm food such as bacon, and on top avocado to make a nice salty breakfast.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026Cet établissement bénéficie d'un joli emplacement. Le personnel est très accueillant, sympathique et fait tout pour répondre à vos demandes. La chambre était confortable et au calme comme je l'avais demandé. La climatisation fonctionne parfaitement et quel bonheur de retrouver une chambre fraîche par temps de canicule ! Le petit déjeuner est varié et la qualité des plats au restaurant est bonne même si je trouve le poisson surcuit. J'y retournerai sans hésiter.

Der Frühstücksraum war sehr klein und der Service war überfordert, so dass man lange Zeit warten musste, bis der nächste Tisch frei war. Das Angebot war gut.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026Hotel is centrally located. Staff is great. Rooms are very well insulated and quiet. Breakfast is OK. Everything was very clean. Bathroom was decent.
Room was with sloped roof and quite small, feeling quite claustrophobic. Also, my room was close to the staircase and I was woken up by noises in the morning. Hotel was quite expensive for what is it (but I guess everything in Zug is).
