The hotel staff is super nice and hospitable. Our family room was very spacious,clean and nicely decorated. The hotel is clean and tidy. Malith the owner is friendly and helpful. The view from the balconies is remarkable! We had 2 meals and both were delicious! Highly recommend and would definitely come back again

Mooi hotel boven op de berg met een fantastisch uitzicht. Boek de familiekamer dan heb je een zeer grote kamer met een mooi zicht op nine arch bridge.

הנוף להרים משגע, הבריכה כייפית ונקייה, ארוחת בוקר נדיבה וטעימה נהננו מאוד! הצוות מקסים ושרותי. המיקום היה מעט מרוחק (כ3-4 דקות נסיעה בטוק טוק למרכז העיירה), לנו זה ממש לא הפריע כי העדפנו את המיקום והנוף ולא להיות סמוכים להמולת הרחוב הראשי. אבל בהחלט משהו שאולי אחרים ישמחו לקחת בחשבון.

כלום הכל היה מעל ומעבר.

Nos estafaron con el precio de los taxis, solo querían hacer negocio y cobrar 3 veces por encima de lo que toca.

Het uitzicht is hier fantastisch en je kunt de trein zien rijden over de Nine Arches Bridge. Heerlijk zwembad en lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel.(dankjewel Pradeep) Fijne plek als je overdag wat wil relaxen.

De bedden waren helaas niet zo goed (hard en matrassen voelden erg oud/doorgezakt) waardoor we allemaal niet goed hebben geslapen. Dat is toch ook een belangrijk onderdeel van het verblijf.

L’hôtel est perché sur une colline avec des chambres avec vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Le restaurant a une super terrasse depuis laquelle on assiste au coucher du soleil (comme ds les chambres d’ailleurs). Les déjeuners sont copieux avec des choix variés et sont super bons. Nous avons mangé un soir la bas, ils nous ont installé une table éclairée sur la splendide terrasse au milieu de la montagne et nous avons pris le traditionnel rice & curry qui étau délicieux !!! Nous avons eu la panoramique Family room qui était spacieuse avec grandes baies vitrées et terrasse avec vue grandiose ! Je recommande +++

The location was perfect - just out of the hustle and bustle of Ella town making it peaceful. Wake in the morning to the sounds of nature and some prayers from the local temple. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were excellent and all consumed with a terrific view of the 9-arch bridge and surrounding farmland.

It was all good, no negatives.

Size of room. View from room and breakfast. Breakfast was included. Tasty food for room service that would be eaten in a nice space in your room.

Pool was colder than hoped.

Wij hadden de familiekamer; heel groot, zeer grote badkamer, groot balkon met uitzicht op Nine Arch Bridge. Personeel zeer behulpzaam, heerlijk eten. Laatste stukje er naar toe beetje smal maar prima te doen.

La vue depuis notre chambre était à couper le souffle. Chambre très spacieuse, super piscine. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux.

Les lits étaient petits (en longueur et en largeur).

L'accès à l'hotel n'est pas très simple en particulier les derniers mètres qui sont très pentus.

Amazing view and quiet as far enough away from the town but just quick tut tut ride down to main town

Pool, when we arrived it did not look clean, had to ask staff to remove a lot of debris but the next day it was a lot better, a bit tired and run down with holes in parasols and a lot of stains on them and outside chair cushions

The staff are lovely and the food was fabulous. Breakfast outside each morning was a highlight. It is away from the town centre in a beautiful location which gave it a peaceful, secluded feeling.

Its a bit further out than expected and access is down narrow paths. Tuk-tuk drivers know and take advantage of this so expect to pay more than normal. The room was a little basic compared with other stays we had, but it was clean and comfortable and the helpful staff and delicious food made up for it.

Food was good overall but often some of it arrived cold. A bit overpriced.

Breakfast was great, not too large of a portion, just right and cooked to order. We also had dinner at the hotel, the chicken burgers were also good.

We had a really lovely stay at Tip Top hotel. The view from the hotel overlooking the Nine Arches Bridge is absolutely stunning and truly special. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very large and beautiful, with a bathtub, which was especially nice after a day of exploring. The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. They recommended a lovely walk from the hotel down to the Nine Arches Bridge, which we really enjoyed. It was also easy to get a tuk-tuk into Ella town and to nearby restaurants. Overall, a great stay with amazing views, good comfort, and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend Tip Top.

While the location is about 3 kms from the main area, it has fabulous views - of the nine arch bridge, train tracks and the mountains and valley's. Its about a 10 room place and the room overlooks the valley and mountains. For breakfast we were given a nice fruit platter and juice and a choice of western or Sri Lankan main courses. Quite sumptuous. The staff for very attentive to everything The hotel has an excellent and huge deck with an infinity swimming pool and lots of places to sit and just relax in a very comfortable atmosphere.

Access to the hotel is by a single lane (motorable) road and towards the end there is a steep uphill climb.

Breakfast was great I had pancakes both mornings and ask if I could have ice cream and they were more then happy to accommodate my request You could see the nine arches bridge and was able to walk down to the track itself

Uns hat das ganze Ambiente, die Aussicht auf die Brücke und das Tal haben wir sehr genossen. Uns hat das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen sehr geschmeckt. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung. Das gesamte Personal war freundlich kompetent und aufmerksam. Im Bad war alles vorhanden was man brauchte ( Zahnbürsten, Seife, Schampo, und Duschgel und Föhn) außerdem war ein Wasserkocher, Tee und Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Im Hotel war es überall sauber und gepflegt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Der Ausblick ist sehr schön, das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns während des Aufenthalts sehr wohl gefühlt!

The staff at this hotel is incredibly. So attentive, caring and nice. The best service we had during our entire trip in Sri Lanka (three weeks). When we arrived they offered us tea while we had a relaxing check-in. The location is a bit off from Ella City, but the food is really good with great affordable prices so that didn’t matter for us. They can also drive you to Ella City by their own TukTuks at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was also great with many selections (and you can choose whatever you want). We had a great view from the hotel room and you can see both the Nine Arch Bridge and the train drive by. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we ever visit Ella again.

There was some power cuts through out our stay but that seems to be very common when the weather isn’t great. It was very windy and rainy two out of three days when we were at Ella.

Beautiful location, great terrace area, fantastic breakfast, and lovely staff

Not that we didn't like it, but the rooms are a bit sterile and could do with some embellishment on the walls. Currently they're just painted concrete. A little decor will make the place even better. Again, not something that we "didn't like" but more of a suggestion to improve the rooms

Few maintenance issues

The view is just amazing , you can see the bridge and the train passing by mountains. The staff is nice and makes sure you have everything you need. However the hotel is a bit outdated

The view was good. Staff was responsive and the food quality was good.

The location is pretty off. Too much bumpy roads to the hotel. Although the view was good but we really weren't able to enjoy the view fully because as soon as we were opening the balcony, mosquitoes, bugs and bees started to come in the room. Pool is not ideally located, at the very front of the reception and not clean, we were able to see lots of bugs and mosquitoes in the pool so couldn't use it. Last thing is it mentioned large double bed, which is not large at all. It is a usual double bed, not anything large about it.

We had a lovely stay at Tip Top. The place is nice and clean and the views over the 9 arch bridge are amazing.

The property had everything we needed and great views from our room into the Ella mountains and 9 arch bridge! The staff was very helpful and welcoming

We stayed for two nights and our bed wasn’t made on the second day and room wasn’t cleaned during our stay.

The most amazing location with incredible views of the Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. Staff very caring. Our special thanks to Rajeew who could not have been more helpful! We have a very lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Location is beautiful, but a little further from the centre of Ella. Taxi/ tuk tuk ride is need to visit Ella.

Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer war sehr schön. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Der Weg zum Hotel ist sehr mühsam. Es ist ziemlich abgelegen. Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt auch schmudelig. Alles ist konstant feucht. Die Bettwäsche, die Handtücher und sogar das Toilettenpapier. Es ist sehr ringhörig im Zimmer, egal ob vom Nachbarzimmer oder von draussen, man bekommt alles mit. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht! Wir waren einfach nur froh als wir hier wieder abreisen konnten.

Great hotel with stunning views over the surrounding hills and the 9 Arch Bridge. Rooftop pool with sun loungers and seating. Good food at the restaurant and very friendly staff ! Would 100% recommend staying here :) very easy to get Tuk tuks into town and much nicer to be based out in the quiet rather than the noisy town centre

A localização tornava o percurso até ao centro de Ella demasiado longe para ir a pé, mas nada que não se resolve-se com uma viagem de Tuk Tuk combinada com o hotel. Sem dúvida que pela vista valia a pena

The location was bad....approach road was very naroow and uneven..the room access required walking down a steep incline not suitable for Senior Citizens.

We had the family room, 2 large bedrooms 4 beds. 1 bathroom ( open) large balcony. Could see the 9 arches bridge from balcony. View was amazing. Staff exceptional

The view was amazing, the staff fabulous. Dropped us to the main Rd whenever needed. Food was great, breakfast awesome.

There was no door in the bathroom but it had seperate shower and toilet either doors. Overall a small complaint.

The room we were in had a step inside which could be a trip hazard, we managed though. No orange juice at breakfast. It's a bit out of town so tuk tuk needed to go there. Towels in room a bit non fluffy, but ok as we only stayed 2 nights.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Ella, dafür ist es extrem ruhig und der Blick ist einzigartig - man konnte sogar die Nine Arches Bridge sehen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Wir waren nur 1 Nacht und haben leider das Infinity Pool und das Abendessen nicht genießen können. Gerne ein andermal ! Frühstück war aber köstlich !

Wir hatten zu zweit das Family Zimmer; leider durften wir Fenster und Türen nicht öffnen wg. eines Wespennestes. Wir mussten einige, die bereits im Zimmer waren, beseitigen.

Widok nieziemski- narożny pokój w dość kiczowatym wystroju ale czysty nowy i narośnie przedszkolu z tarasem. Woda w basenie zimna. Śniadania pyszne.

Uitzicht was heel mooi en a la carte ontbijt was goed, maar dat is dan wel het enige positieve bij dit hotel.
