Reviewed Apr 27, 2026The view beats everything here. The view from our room and balcony was spectacular. We were far enough away from the Flam railway station and ferry terminal to make getting there easy yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We had a pleasant dinner at the restaurant downstairs again with a fiord view. I recommend the pizza given it was the best I have had in a long time which is saying a lot given just about every restaurant and cafe in Norway sells pizza. Breakfast was included and it was the standard fare, however, I must say they were quite happy to accommodate a variation or two when asked.
The bathroom was a little tired and could have been cleaner in the corners. Having said that the water pressure was good with a good sized shower and it was hot. Great after a cold day out sightseeing.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026Excellent view of the Fjords. Best in the area I would say. Room is comfortable and very clean. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant (great food & very nice view).
We were first in room 12 (right next to the restaurant and with a door that partially block the fjord view), but when we requested to change room, the lady at the reception kindly put us in room 7, which was perfect.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026Location was amazing at the bottom of a fjord with fantastic views in a superb tranquil setting which is being rather spoiled by the introduction of fast food vans in the village. Would have been great to have bikes on hand at the hotel to explore the area more.
Food and room were ‘adequate’ despite paying more for it than a 4* in Radison in Oslo. No milk for tea/coffee drinks in the room, outside light on all night on central control. No UK TV options. Breakfast food seemed to have been out a while and so seemed rather dry. Cleaning of the dining room began with a vacuum whilst we were still finishing our breakfast at the end of service. Staff seemed keen to get everyone out of the place as soon as possible.

The workers were working outside our room fixing things whilst we wanted to be out there enjoying the view then they had us up early hammering again outside. Hopefully this isn't for to long and thankfully we only stayed one night.

The service could have been better at dinner . Ordered the soup and asked the young man if we could eat in our room , he agreed but when it was delivered it was cold .

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026Amazing location and views. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All amenities close by (especially enjoyed the sauna!) friendly service from reception staff.
Poor service in on-site restaurant. Very clearly understaffed for the dinner which resulted in long wait time (almost an hour wait), wrong food presented to us, and no service when asking for extras. The waiter did everything he could, but not enough staff for a decent level of service unfortunately (only 1 FOH). Was not offered any discount as an apology either.

Don't be concerned that it's a short walk from the station - it's easy, flat along the boardwalk - 5 minutes with luggage even in mid-winter with snow and ice. The location and room is well worth it. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both meals were very good. The staff and managers were great too, thank you. One of the highlights of out 3 week Norway trip.

I really enjoyed their breakfast; even though there aren’t a ton of choices, everything they offer is perfect for me. And the kitchen? I love it. It’s the kitchen with the best view.
