Das Hotel war allgemein recht schleccht gemanaged und die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es war auszuhalten, da wir es nur als Übernachtung gebraucht haben, von 23:00 - nächsten Morgen. Dafür ear es aber recht teuer.

Surrounding area very downmarket. Bar in hotel worked fine. It performs a function of easy low cost accommodation. Don’t go for your honeymoon!

We have been several times to this hotel prior to getting the Shuttle the next morning and have always been happy with it. We usually have an evening meal which in the past has been fine. On this occasion the meal was not good - the children’s food was almost inedible apart from the desert and the service was poor. Our own food was no more than acceptable. Disappointing.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Bonjour, Je souhaite vous faire part de mon mécontentement concernant l’état et la qualité de la chambre qui m’a été attribuée. Plusieurs éléments m’ont particulièrement interpellée et ne correspondent pas au niveau de qualité que j’attendais. Notamment, des câbles électriques sortent directement de certaines prises, ce qui donne une impression de finition insuffisante et soulève également des questions concernant la sécurité. Par ailleurs, dans la douche, l’intérieur du trou d’évacuation est complètement noir et semble contenir des résidus ou des saletés qui donnent une impression de manque d’entretien et d’hygiène. De manière générale, je trouve que l’état de la chambre ne correspond pas à ce qui peut être attendu au vu du prix payé et des prestations annoncées. Je souhaiterais donc faire une réclamation officielle concernant ces différents points et savoir quelle solution vous pouvez me proposer afin de compenser cette situation. Reviewed Aug 10, 2026We have been staying at The Cottage regularly for over 15 years, we love it because it is so close to the Shuttle Terminal, it is great value for money, although our final night was a little overpriced. There is a lovely lake close by to walk our dog. It is close to the shopping areas and great for the harbour and restaurants. The rooms are always clean and quiet.
The Bar prices seem to have risen considerably. 9 Euro for a 50cl beer!

KFC & other eateries a walkable stones throw. To be honest, it was a relief not to be in the Centre of Calais as my young nephews would have been freaked out. I’ve found the centre to be not pleasant in the last 20 years.

Location is great too very near to tunnel & plenty of free car parking on site with electric charging facility. Breakfast excellent choice & quality. Evening meal very tasty. La gestione da parte di un dipendente, alquanto sportiva ed eccessivamente "amicale" per il quale ho già avuto modo di parlare con la direttrice. Una persona non può rendere negativo l'intero soggiorno, di oltre due settimane.

Wc lekt, verstoping in de badkamer, min kleine tv, water koken met korte sneer, stopcontact moet Ik iedereen keer bukken voor water op te warmer, niet handig ,onvriendelijke personnel.( HIij kos zelf een tafel voor ontbijten en laat ons niet op ons gemaak eten iedere keer liep langs). De deur voor de kamer klemt en niet goed dicht blijft vast.
