We were welcomed and made to feel at home from the minute we arrived. After checking in we were shown our room and to our surprise we were given a free room upgrade. The room was both spacious and more importantly, spotless with very comfortable beds. The air conditioning was excellent, good WIFI and shower. There were plenty of lights and power outlets and the work bench was well used. Both the manager and staff went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. Onward travel and sightseeing was also arranged through the hotel and went very smoothly. Management and staff were a wealth of information. The breakfast was fresh and enjoyed in the room. Lunch and evening meals with a variety of choices were also prepared for us and again both the freshness and meals were thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel is in a great location, near shops, restaurants and many other sightseeing locations with the fort entrance being a 2 minute walk away. (The fort is beautiful and a must see sight and its free) ATM is also close by but we felt it was easier getting a Tuk Tuk. Wish we could have stayed longer as its a home away from home....Highly Recommended Establishment.

This is an amazing place to stay near the centre of Jaisalmer, close to the fort entrance with lots of restaurants nearby. The airconditioning and comfy beds were much needed after a long day in the sun, and the included breakfasts were delicious. Chimmy and Lala were very accommodating and went above and beyond with helping us out. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to the area.

Shanti Home is a charming, family-run hotel located close to the Fort Gate. It’s very budget-friendly but still offers thoughtful touches, like a freshly prepared breakfast served on the rooftop. The owners are exceptionally welcoming. The brothers, Chimmy and Lala, shared local tips and even helped us arrange an authentic dessert tour, which we highly recommend. Also make sure to not miss the small art gallery in the basement, featuring works by local Rajasthan artists.

Chimmy upgraded our room (for free!) after we made an error with the reservation. The new room was noticeably more spacious, although the hot water tap wasn’t working while taking a shower. Since we ended up spending that second night (unexpectedly) in the dessert, this wasn’t much of an issue for us.

We booked last minute, as another property had canceled our booking, and we were very late to arrive. The host and chef were incredibly kind and waited for us. Food was very good and the terrace was a great space to lounge in. The hotel is also located just around the corner from the entrance to the Fort, so it's in great location.

The room was very small and had no windows. It felt very stuffy and had a really poor sleep in there. Bathroom was also small and it wasn't as clean as one would hope.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal au pied du fort ce qui permet d'être plus au calme tout en étant juste à côté des principaux lieux d'intérêts. L'hôtel est très propre, avec tout le nécessaire pour être à l'aise dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner est aussi très complet et fourni. Tout le personnel était très accueillant et toujours à l'écoute. Nous avons fait une visite du fort avec l'un des propriétaires de l'hôtel et une excursion d'une nuit dans le désert organisée aussi avec l'hôtel, ces deux activités étaient vraiment parfaites. Nous ne pouvons que vous recommander Shanti Home.

Nous avions demandé à acheter des parfums en ville et le propriétaire nous y a amené le lendemain. Nous ne pensions juste pas avoir une négociation aussi difficile alors que nous étions accompagnés. Nous vous conseillons donc peut-être de faire vos achats par vous même. (Un détail mais important pour nous de le souligner)

Un magnifique endroit où s'installer à Jaisalmer. Nous avons eu une chambre magnifique. Nous étions à moins de 5 minutes à pied de l'entrée de la forteresse. Tout le monde a été absolument adorable, avec un très grand sens de l'hospitalité. Une adresse que nous recommandons à 100%!

El hotel es bonito, la habitación era super amplia, la cama cómoda y la ubicación era buena. Está a menos de 5 mins caminando del fuerte. El personal fue muy amable, también nos ayudaron con la organización de toures que queríamos hacer en Jaisalmer. El hotel tiene restaurante, la comida es rica y el menú es variado. Tiene un rooftop con una vista muy bonita al fuerte. La verdad muy recomendado.

En nuestra habitación parece que la presión del agua no era suficiente entonces había agua caliente pero solo salía en la parte inferior, no en la regadera. Solo nos quedamos un par de días entonces no fue algo grave para nosotros.

Without a doubt Chimmy and his brother Lala really know what customer service is about. I wasn’t feeling great when we arrived and they couldn’t do enough to help me. Chimmy even bought me a hot water bottle to assist with my muscle spasms. Our room was large, bright and clean, perfect for a quiet few days. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated their care.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel in Jaisalmer. The location is perfect-right in the heart of city, making it easy to explore all the near by attractions on foot. The property is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My room was spacious , spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed that made for a restful sleep. What truly made the stay memorable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready with smile. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you are looking for a clean, centrally located hotel with charm and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend this place!

It was a memorable experience staying at Shanti Home, staff is friendly and owners are very informative. Terrace is the USP with good food, excellent breakfast and amazing view of the Fort right next to the property. The location of the property is one of the finest in Jaisalmer in city center with all the monuments withing walking distance. Our room was clean and well ventilated with all essential facilities.

We were DELIGHTED staying in Shanti Home. I only gave a perfect score of 10 just once before in my entire life, but to this beautiful boutique hotel I'd gladly give 15 if I could. You'll find perfection in every attribute that makes a hotel great, such as cleanliness comfort, value, location, beauty, etc. And the extra bonus here is the incredible kindness and helpfulness of the owners and managers Jimmy and Lalit. They let us check in early, got us train tickets without us moving a finger, organized the best camel safari in the world, and much more. Come with confidence, you'll be happy you did.

Loved staying at Shanti Home operated by Chimmy, who put lot of effort to decorate the house with local tradition fabrics and materials. Our room was on the first floor it was spacious and well furnished, bathroom was clean and with great hot shower. The terrace has an incredible Fort view. Lots of good suggestion by Chimmy to visit sights in Jaisalmer, good restaurant recommendations. We highly recommend Shanti Home and will definitely return.

Shanti Home is the perfect place for your stay in the Golden City of Jaisalmer! I had the deluxe room on the rooftop where the window ventilation, AC, lighting and hot water worked in perfect order. The bed was comfortable, the Wifi was suitable for my needs as a digital nomad and the breakfast was served fresh every morning on the rooftop terrace with views of the city and fort. The brothers who own the property, Chimmy and LaLa, made my stay in Jaisalmer even more memorable with their professionalism and kindness. Chimmy arranged for a rickshaw pickup at the bus station upon my arrival. In addition, he arranged for an overnight camel safari which was amazing. My trip was during Holi festival and Chimmy and LaLa were invaluable with their tips, insights and planning (LaLa helped me with purchasing new clothes for Holi). Jaisalmer is a beautiful city, make your stay comfortable by "Booking" at Shanti Home!

The only negative is that I had to leave!

The location is great, just 1 minute walk from the fort and with a fantastic view on it. You can sit and sip your tea in a very well refurbished terrace. All the building is very clean decorated and maintained with love by the owner, who was super friendly and kind with us. He can also organise safaris and always gives you good suggestions on where to eat or where to go. Hot water was easy to have and the shower had good pressure. We had a nice sleep even if the rooms don't have windows. Fan and AC worked very well. ATM just next door. Thanks to Lala, we had a very pleasant stay.

The rooms are quite small and don't have windows, so you may feel that the air is not fresh. Anyway not big problem.

My son and I had a great time over our three nights at Shanti Home. The room had a lovely hot shower and was extremely peaceful. Chimmy, the proprietor, seems incredibly helpful and composed. In addition to having a fantastic staff working with him in the desert, he organized a safari for overnight stays. The roof patio offers a superb breakfast and a great view of the Fort. Both the safari and the stay are highly recommended.

We can’t thank Lala and the staff at Shanti home enough for how accommodating they have been throughout our stay. I arrived very unwell and they have done everything they can to make the stay as comfortable as possible for us. Nothing has been too much - more toilet roll, more soap, a change of pillow cases, even going to the local market for us to get peanut butter. They have met our every request and provided such kindness whilst doing so. The room is clean, the bed comfy, the ac works great and the shower is hot and powerful. We were only meant to stay one night, but they have let us extend our stay every day. We have now been here 6 nights and are looking forward to learning more about the tourist attractions from them soon as they are so knowledgeable about the area. Thank you!

Adjacent to the Jaisalmer Fort, this charming tiny hotel is in a prime location. The owner is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, shopping destinations, and things to visit in the city. With a fantastic view of the fort and a delicious breakfast every day, the rooftop was fantastic. Both the bathroom and the room are large and spotless. Strongly suggested; we will very certainly return.

The brothers who own and run this hotel are thoughtful, attentive, and provide a highly personalized service. They take pride in their hotel (as they should) and genuinely care about the guest's experience. The location is excellent, just at the gates of the Fort. Breakfasts cooked to order are thoughtful and fresh. The rooftop terrace is a delight. Extraordinary value.

We made a last-minute reservation, but despite that the staff managed to fulfill every one of our requests. The terrace is beautiful, a perfect place where we were served an excellent breakfast. Congratulations to the entire staff for the excellent service and attention to details.

Great location outside the fort. Less than 5 minute walk to be inside the fort. Entire staff was kind and welcoming. Each morning Lala enquired how our evening sleep was and if we needed anything. We arranged our desert camel overnight trip through them and we were very happy with it. The young guide that spend the night with us spoke very good English and shared his experience about desert life. The gentleman that handles orders and serving at the rooftop was very friendly.

Shanti Home has a very nice roof top to sit and eat, play and enjoy sunsets. You can enjoy a nice view of the fort and stay in the middle of town. The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. Lala was very friendly and cooked fresh meals for us. He also gave us a very nice tour at the fort and in town and introduced us to trustable street food in Jaisalmer. We also booked a nice trip to the desert with his travel company Amrit Tours.

This was a sweet little hotel. Located just outside the fort so you are away from that hustle and bustle. Very nicely and tastefully decorated hotel, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast included: fruit, omelette, toast, pancakes (crepes), tea and coffee. Nice outdoor seating spaces. Staff was very kind and accommodating. They sent a tuk tuk for us at 2300 at the train station and explained some of the city life to us. Only negative was the patio was street side as was our room so there was street noise. I travel with ear plugs so not an issue for me. Other rooms were in the back so not an issue. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Shanti Home Hotel in Jaisalmer! Our host, Lalit, was incredibly kind and made sure we experienced the best of Jaisalmer. We booked two tours through the hotel, and both were exceptional. The first was the Camel Tour and Temples, where we visited some beautiful and historic sites, including Bada Bagh, Amar Sagar Jain Temple, the Jaseri Lake, and the Khaba Fort. The tour culminated in a camel ride in the Thar Desert. There were no other tourists, and we got to enjoy the peaceful dunes during the sunset. The day ended perfectly with a delicious meal cooked over a campfire under the stars. A big thank you to Lalit for his warm hospitality and for making our time in Jaisalmer truly special. Highly recommended!

Me and my family had an amazing staying experience at Shanti Home, cozy place, beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. The roof terrace was amazing spot to hangout each evening. We have meals and drinks which were best so far and same is the view of Fort. Fantastic!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely Hotel Shanti Home. Our room was huge with lovely interiors and furniture especially the bed was well decorated and super comfortable. The views from roof top where we had our breakfast has spectacular view of Jaisalmer Fort. And the host Chimmy was exceptionally hospitable. The location was right in the center with atmospheric neighborhood and walking distance from main monuments of town. They also send us a rickshaw to pick us up from train station upon our arrival which was very helpful as our train was almost at midnight. A highly recommended place and we received best hospitality in India. Bravo!!

Chimmy the owner is very friendly and gave us good advice for restaurants near by and also looked after us throughout the stay. Rooms are clean and the best part is the terrace with comfortable sitting area and great view of Fort, WiFi was bonus. We stayed for 5 nights and all of us are very happy.

We stayed for 3 nights at Lovely Shanti Home and enjoyed our stay, our room was very spacious with beautiful furniture and very comfortable bed. Our room also had a lovely carved stone balcony opening towards the front of the place. They serve superb breakfast on the terrace with comfortable furniture and view of the fort. The host was very informative and gave us good suggestions on restaurant and good shop for buying silver.

I got the top floor room which was very quiet with private sitting area outside, it was perfect. Very friendly owner also arranged a nice village tour (I would recommend). The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. Also the bathroom of my room was well designed and sparkling clean. Definitely recommended place.

Really a good choice in Jaisalmer, right in city center with all monuments walking distance. Highly recommend the terrace with Fort view and excellent breakfast. We loved our three days stay at Shanti Home, the building itself was like a little Haveli and the rooms are very clean and staff was very attentive. We loved delicious breakfast with amazing view of fort and sunlight. Prathmesh the owner helped us arranging local transport and airport pick up and drop. You must try their non touristic camel safari rather then tented safari in crowded Sam sand dunes.

It's a very decent hotel with a rustic feel. The room was spacious enough and equipped with all the amenities. A tasty, home-like breakfast was served on the rooftop with a view of the Jaisalmer fort in the morning. Fort is just five minutes away from the hotel. There is also a market nearby. Gadisar lake is also within walking distance. The staff was very helpful with all our requests. Additionally, they provided us with a good itinerary and good food options. In case you check out early and want to wander around a bit, they also store luggage

Lala was sn excellent host who went put of his way to be helpful and kind. My wife had earache and he took us to the local pharmacy! The food, room and location were also very good.

You don't need to be skeptical, this hotel is really worth the rating. The hospitality, service, food and friendliness offered by the two brothers is truly outstanding. Not to mention their understanding of sustainability and healthy/vegan cuisine. Thank you so much for letting us have this experience!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Shanti Home. Our room was large, clean and very nicely decorated. Hotel also arranged great camel safari, Bariyam our Jeep driver was really friendly. The roof top view of Jaisalmer Fort was amazing also with fantastic breakfast. We loved our stay and will definitely recommend it.

I have travelled in India many times over a period of 30 years and stayed in a variety of places, good, bad and indifferent. But the Hotel shanti is one that has caught my attention by being a great hotel but more importantly, by the time and effort that Lala and Jimmy put in to helping their guests have a great time. We stayed there for 3 nights, used them for laundry, dinner, taxis, tour information and as a guide to the fort. They and their team excelled in all these things and left us with a feeling of not having paid enough to them for the what they did for us. Worth also mentioning that one morning Jimmy knocked on my door to present me with my wallet, which I had dropped and had been found by one of his staff, before I even knew I had lost it! A wonderful place with wonderful people and one I will return to.

Famliy-run very cosy and tidy little hotel very close to Jaisalmer Fort with great views from the roof-top terrace. Management and staff were very attentive to every detail of my stay, including pick-up from the train station, tasty home-cooked meals and helpful advise on sightseeing. Rooms are nicely furbished with traditional local furniture and decoration, they are clean and very good value for money. Greatest highlight of my stay was a Jeep excursion to the desert away from the usual crowds- including a visit to an oasis, to the abandoned village and Fort of Khabha, a camel ride and dinner under the starry sky organized for a reasonable price by the hotel owners.

Our stay at the Hotel Shanti home has been great. Our train was delayed on arriving into Jaisalmer but Lala was waiting to welcome us into his home. We had tea and biscuits before bed! Due to the weather conditions the AC was a little temperamental but Lala was quick to accommodate us and moved us to another room, no hassle! Lala invited to take us around the Fort and local Haveli. He was so knowledgable about the local area, the history and the architecture. It was a fantastic tour and if you have the time or opportunity, I highly recommend taking him up on his offer! We loved the location of the Shanti House too - it was great being so close to the Fort, the Lake and the Haveli as well as great cafes and eateries! Lala and his brother were also so helpful in arranging a trip to the desert for us. As we had very little time in Jaisalmer we had some specific requirements to meet and the team were great at getting us out into the desert. It was such a memorable trip and we loved that it was someone the family have known for so long. The beds were so comfortable and although not a lot of space in the Deluxe Double room it was perfect for what we needed. The rooftop space was amazing, we loved having breakfast surrounded by the beautiful colours and cushions as well as fantastic views. We also spent our evenings here too. Breakfast foods were great!

Location is good for all activities, bed was very comfortable, very clean and very helpful host - he will help you any way he can (my friend needed a train ticket and that was arranged super quickly!)

Be aware that the cheaper rooms don’t have windows (at least in my case). The hotel could do with a new set of towels. in the bathroom some more hooks or boards for placing items would have been helpful.

Clean, perfect location and very charming. The owners are great and really accommodated all kinds of requests. Let them advice you on the best camel safaris and spots to eat. If they are available they can also organise a lovely city tour for you. Well recommended to stay here!

Nice place to stay at a very good location. Excellent breakfast.

We went back to stay at Shanti Home after being in the desert and they had our rooms and hot water ready even though it was before check in time. Lala's brother gave us a tour of the fort the next day and was a really knowledgeable and relaxed guide, showing us round the town he grew up in and showing us the inside of his 200 year (or more) family home inside the fort walls. Would definitely recommend having him showing you around and explaining the meanings in the local art work which is everywhere.
