We enjoyed this place greatly. The room was just stunning, spacious and very clean. I appreciated the attention to details, such as the availability of an hair dryer, plenty of soaps and towels. The rooftop is just gorgeous. We had dinner there every evening and the food was delicious. All the staff is very welcoming, kind, polite, helpful. Thank you all for this amazing experience. Very hard to leave! I couldn't recommend this place enough!

I had two stays at the Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli in Jaisalmer either side of an overnight trip into the desert. A different room each time. Such a beautiful guest house in a restored former private house. Awesome views from both rooms and from the rooftop, and a very friendly bunch of staff. Highly recommended.

Bathroom is a wet room, and there was a tiny step in one of the bathrooms which caught me out several times.

Posizione perfetta, dentro il forte di Jaisalmer con vista sulla città. Camere pulite e molto carine. Sul terrazzo, con vista anch'esso, viene servita la cena con cibo di ottima qualità. Personale molto disponibile e cordiale.

Non si puó desiderare di meglio, qui siamo a livelli molto alti. Posizione perfetta, dentro il mitico forte di Jaisalmer, quindi il cuore antico pulsante. Meravigliosa struttura antica. Camera con vista alta sull'old town, climatizzata, molto carina ed estremamente pulita, standard insoliti per un hotel indiano. Addirittura ho trovato asciugacapelli, pantofole e kit di bagnoschiuma e shampoo vari. Personale perfetto, gentilissimo e disponibile in tutto. Ottimo anche il ristorante interno, con mitico roof top vista forte e centro storico, prezzi top. Tra le scelte migliori in assoluto!

Ein ganz besonderes Hotelerlebnis! Schon der herzliche Empfang im wunderschön eingerichteten Haveli hat uns begeistert. Unser liebevoll und authentisch eingerichtetes Zimmer bot durch das Erkerfenster einen traumhaften Blick auf das Fort und das bunte Treiben davor. Ein absolutes Highlight war das fantastische Candlelight-Dinner auf der perfekt gelegenen Dachterrasse – mit dieser Aussicht einfach unvergesslich. Das ausgesprochen freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal ließ keine Wünsche offen. Ein Ort mit ganz besonderem Charme – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

And he kindly helped us have a chance to explore the desert. Whithout a doubt, the view from the rooftop is the best among other hotels! Entrare nel Garh Jaisal Haveli è come varcare la soglia della città. Le sue camere sembrano ricavate dalle stesse mura del forte in cui l'hotel è gelosamente custodito. La vista sulla città è meravigliosa. Sul terrazzo abbiamo mangiato la cena più gustosa del nostro viaggio in Rajasthan (fino ad oggi). Le persone ci hanno accolto con grandi sorrisi e professionalità.

L’hôtel est magnifique ! L’accueil et le personnel sont très attentifs à leur client ! La cuisine très bonne et la localisation parfaite. La vue depuis la terrasse est top ! Chambre climatisée (on avait la Opium Room). Encore merci pour ces deux jours magiques.

Magnifique hôtel avec une vue imprenable et un emplacement parfait dans le fort et pour voir le coucher de soleil !! L'équipe et le cuisinier on été adorable ! Et leurs cuisine était délicieuse je me suis régalé à chaque repas !

Everything it’s absolutely beautiful The rooms , I saw a few ! The roof top terrace restaurant is superb & so is the food . Wonderful shower , very comfortable beds and the staff were fabulous . It’s quiet , right inside the fort and had unbelievable views , I loved everything about it

Einfach nur wunderbar. Die Aussicht, das Personal und die Einrichtung waren top.

Die Zimmer waren geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Zwei Handtücher pro Person, Wasserkocher, Trinkwasser, Duschgel, Shampoo und co. Die Dachterrasse ist wunderbar, hat einen tollen Blick und ist recht gemütlich. Zudem ist das Essen prima und das Personal echt super nett und der Chef schaut regelmässig die Runde, ob alles okay ist. Der Transfer vom Parkplatz erfolgt per Moped, oder man nimmt sich ein Tuktuk läuft ganz einfach 😀 Unkomplizierte Zahlung per Karte möglich.

The rooms were well sized, beautifully decorated and clean. We had plenty of space to relax after long days. We also loved the rooftop area to relax and play games with amazing views of the old fort and new city.

An incredibly pleasant stay! The view from the terrace where meals are served alone would be worth staying here already. But besides this the room is very nice and clean and the staff so helpful. As I was there for Holi and I had already checked out, they were so nice as to give me a place where to shower and give me a lift to the parking by motorbike as there were no tuk tuks available. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Hotel Garh Jasisal Haveli has the most amazing location in the living fort with spectacular views over the city. The staff were very nice and helpful getting our bags there on a motorbike as cars or rickshaws can't enter the fort. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

A very good breakfast. Staff were lovely and helped in every way. They helped to organise a night under the stars and offered to look after our luggage and gave us a room before and afterwards to freshen up.

Staying inside Jaisalmer Fort was a truly special experience. The room had beautiful views over the city, and the rooftop restaurant offered breathtaking sunrise and night views. The atmosphere is charming, and the hot water was surprisingly plentiful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to fully experience the fort. ジャイサルメールフォートの素晴らしさを体感できる宿。 歴史ある建物にインドらしかと可愛らしさあり内装。 張り出し窓からは街が一望でき、朝日も見え、暑い中バルコニーより雰囲気もあってむしろ良いです。 トイレの窓からも同じ絶景が(笑・ちゃんとカーテンあります) 降って下から窓を眺めるとまさにフォートに泊まっていた感を味わえて感動しました。 屋上レストランからは街とフォートの両方の景色が楽しめ、もちろん朝日も夜景も素晴らしい。 チキンカレーも美味しかったです。 こんな場所なのにお湯は申し訳ないほどふんだに出ました。 フォートは広くはないですが、パレスまでもすぐです。 フォート内にはバイクしか上がれないため入り口まではトゥクトゥク、そこからはバイクで迎えてくれました。

Haveli bellissimo e ben curato nei minimi particolari. Decisamente la miglior vista in assoluto della città vecchia. Qualità/prezzo difficile da battere! Anche il cibo è buono e vale la pena restare per cena anche solo per il panorama.

Genuine historic Haveli (Merchants House) right in the heart of Jaisalmer Fort. Accommodation was in a fantastic location actually in the Fort walls, fabulous terrace with wonderful views, some of the best in town. Extremely friendly, happy and helpful staff. Excellent home cooked food, tasty and generous portions. Such good value for money and we really felt at home. We were met outside the fort and our bags were taken up to the room on the back of their motorcycle and we walked up to the hotel as no tuk tuks are allowed within the fort during the day. Jaisalmer was our favourite place in Rajasthan, a butter coloured fairytale fortress with medieval narrow streets bustling with life. It is definitely for the more adventurous type and you need to be able to walk well as there are many steps, inclines and uneven surfaces throughout the town and as it is a very old building, the accommodation has no lift. We had 4 brilliant days there and would recommend staying at least 3 days to get to know the town, chill out and go with the flow. The town is off the beaten track for foreign tourists and takes time to get there, it is very popular with locals and gets busy and crowded after 1100 so try to visit the fort before this. Take warm clothes if visiting in winter (high) season as it gets cold in the evening and early morning- best to wear layers rather than thick jumpers.

The location and hospitality is fantastic. It's located inside the jaisalmer fort. The staff are excellent and warmth from everyone is par excellence. The food is also top notch

There's nothing to point out as such. Only thing... Elderly people may face a little bit of a problem if the entry of autos to the fort is restricted as one has to hike up to the fort and to the hotel for 500 mtrs odd

Best stay of 70 some in India. Feels like you want home to feel. Staff was very accommodating. The place is unique and offers an experience that is tough to compare.

Our room at the Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli was endearing and spotless; the hotel's location inside the fort (off in a secluded corner) was ideal; the friendly hotel staff went above and beyond in every respect to ensure that our stay in Jaisalmer was unforgettable; the food was great; and, finally, the view of the fort and surrounding area from the small restaurant on the hotel's roof is nonpareil.

The Hotel is an old haveli positioned on the walls high up in Jaisalmer Fort, this means great views throughout the hotel but an uphill walk to reach the property. Cars are no allowed into the fort so our driver phoned the hotel at the entrance to the fort and staff came and transported our luggage to the hotel. Our spacious room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be taken inside the restaurant or on the terrace, it was prepared to order and there were plenty of options and freshly squeezed orange juice and fruit plates. The restaurant is open all day and serves good reasonably priced food. The property efficiently booked us a desert tour and onward travel.

The doorway to our ensuite was low (which was pointed out to us) which resulted in a couple of sore heads. There was loud music at night coming from the town below at the weekend (probably a wedding?) no fault of the hotel and the other hotels would have been similarly affected

Local government Restrictions didn't allow autos inside the fort. So getting to the room with baggage and leaving was a bit challenging. But the staff were excellent and they picked up our baggage and us on motorcycles

This hotel is exceptional - the location, the rooms, the staff, the food, were all perfect. We stayed in the Opium Room which has a specatcular view over the fort. Breakfast was really tasty and plentiful and we ate in the restaurant most nights. They have a great chef! The staff were friendly and so helpful, as was everyone in the close surroundings of the hotel. We loved it here and didn't want to leave. Thank you to every single member of staff. You all helped make our holiday perfect.

There is nothing to dislike here!

Perfectly situated IN the wall of the fort, with rooftop terrace and restaurant looking across to the Royal Palace, it is literally at the centre of the action. The staff are delightful, and the food delicious and inexpensive.

We were on the ground floor, and it was necessary to cover the sink plug-hole and shower drain-away to prevent the smell of the drain in the bathroom.

We loved our stay at Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli in Jaisalmer. The owner was incredibly kind and even came to pick us up on motorbikes when our driver couldn’t find the nearest parking. The haveli is beautifully preserved, charming, and offers stunning views from the rooftop terrace. Our room was spotless, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We truly feel it’s the best hotel in Jaisalmer and highly recommend it.

Fantastic location in the Fort itself with views over the town. Lovely dining area on the roof with shade and sunshine to suit. Good food and excellent service. Everyone was very welcoming and supportive with useful introductions to guides etc. the hotel is small but nicely furnished in keeping with the haveli feel and location. Thoroughly enjoyed both the hotel and Jaisalmer.

Restrictions on vehicular access can be difficult with luggage as suitcases with wheels don’t cope well with the stone roads. However this was solved with cheerfully provided help.
