I really enjoyed my stay, and the view from my room was exceptional. Staff and management went above and beyond to ensure my stay in Jaisalmer was good, with recommendations. Also dropped me off at the train station because it was late at night.

Incredible stay inside this ancient fort. The owner and staff were excellent hosts and I had a great time exploring the city.

I was a little sad the wall behind the bed was painted white and not the stonework like in the photos.

Fort Villa is a beutiful building right in the centre of the Fort but tucked away meaning it was lovely and quiet. We really loved the roof top seating area.

Unter einem Balkon habe ich mir etwas anderes vorgestellt, war aber dennoch froh, dass ich in hatte! Frühstück war nicht herausragend aber netter Service! Es war sehr heiß als ich da war und der Weg in die Unterstadt und wieder hoch war bei der Hitze halt schon recht beschwerlich!

Staying inside the fort was wonderful. The place is modern and clean although restored in the traditional style. The bed was comfortable and the place is quiet. The rooftop terrace has amazing views.

Excellent stay and very welcoming host. We really enjoyed our stay here. The stay is inside the fort and you will really get that Jaisalmer vibe here.

The property design is stunning , the view from the rooftop , with sunset is very impressive. The staff super friendly and rooms very clean, which is not very common to happen.

Fort Villa is an amazing place to stay in Jaisalmer. It was the last stop on my trip around India, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better ending. I can truly recommend Fort Villa to everyone visiting Jaisalmer. Each room is unique, beautifully designed, and full of character. The whole building feels like something from a fairy tale — charming, authentic, and very special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it really makes your stay unforgettable.

The host, Dipa, was very welcoming and helpful. The owner, Manish, was also very involved into ensuring we had a great time. We booked a great desert experience through them, which they tailored to our needs. Highly recommended!

An overall warm and exceptional experience. We were met at the train station late at night and made to feel at home immediately. My mum is still talking about the decor and attention to detail and gracious surroundings. It feels very special to stay within the fort confines and a very authentic experience. Breakfast on the rooftop has many courses - so pace yourself! You can also make yourself a drink in the room. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Not really a "didn't like" more a tip Ask that they help you with your luggage from the parking area in front of the fort. The haveli is at the end of the fort so it's a bit too walk

El hotel mas caro en el que hemos estado en la India y ha sido totalmente dececepcionante. No merece la pena. Estuvimos tres noches. El primer dia no hubo agua caliente. Cuando ya la hubo, solo salia un hilito de agua. no hubo servicio de habitaciones para al menos cambiar la basura del baño ya que no se puede tirar el papel higienico por el inodoro. El desayuno tambien fue un horror. Se daba en la terraza descubierta donde hacia mucho frio en esta epoca del año. Cafe malo, zumo de bote, pan duro, etc.

The location was excellent. The host Mr Deepak is very welcoming & a great guy to talk to. Overall he treated us very well.

Cars cant enter the vicinity & u will have to carry ur bags all the way up.

La passion de l’hospitalité de nos hôtes et l’esthétique impeccable des lieux nous ont procuré un séjour chaleureux et exceptionnel. Nous avons absolument tout aimé: terrasse superbe, chambre vaste, lumineuse, décorée avec goût, salle de bain impeccable, notre petit balcon surplombant la ville, et aussi la chance de résider dans une rue calme à l’écart du flux touristique. Manish et Deepak, merci de tout cœur pour votre accueil, on espère revenir très vite!

This beautifully restored Haveli is located in the centre of the fortress itself and so provides an ideal location for exploring Jaisalmer. The rooms as well as the whole property are exceptionally beautifully restored and decorated. The lovely breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view to the Jain temples as well as the area surrounding the fort. The strongest point, however, are the exceptionally nice and accommodating hosts, one of which even joined us on an exciting trip to the nearby Thar desert.

During daytime, the fort was packed with day tourist taking snapshots and buying souvenirs from the street vendors. That is clearly not a fault of the people at Fort Villa, though ...

Aimer est un faible mot ! Juste incroyable ! La propreté, l’hospitalité, la qualité du logement, tout était incroyable ! Le bâtiment est impressionnant! L’homme qui tient cet hôtel est d’une gentillesse et d’une sagesse ! Je reviens en Inde l’année prochaine et je reviendrai chez lui!

Excellent location in the heart of the Fort, great standard of room and furnishings - superb! Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Jain Temples. Host was very kind and made the stay very comfortable and shared any information you required, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent pick up from the station late at night to make sure I got to Fort Villa easily. Also arrange a short Desert Jeep safari which was exactly what I wanted and he could tailor it around your needs

Hôtel fantôme très minéral de conception récente mais très réussi sur le plan architectural qui manque malheureusement de chaleur, de bois, de couleurs, de meubles….. Aucun service de chambre…. Il manque par ailleurs une ampoule, une lampe de chevet, un abat jour, une douchette wc qui fuit…. Quant à la terrasse où sont servis les petits déjeuners, celle ci est aujourd’hui quasi désaffectée, mal conçue, aux coussins extérieurs déchirés et de propreté douteuse, recouverte d un toit en plastic jaunâtre, noirci par le temps. Bref une impression que tout est en train de partir à vau l eau….. À noter la propreté de l’établissement - à l’exception nous concernant d un rideau de douche (!) moisi à sa base, de coussins tachés - et une excellente literie. La gentillesse de l employé sur place. Vraiment un choix par défaut au regard d un tarif désormais tout à fait exagéré.

This is the best place to stay in Jaisalmer. Absolutely fabulous. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. You feel at home, and the owner and his cousin are truly incredible people. I was genuinely enchanted by the atmosphere and the love that fills this place. The property is taken care of in every little detail, and the rooms are simply wonderful… I will definitely come back…

Our host was great, very helpful and kind. He arranged for us tour guides, transport from Jodhpur and gave us great reccomendations. The room was very nice and clean. The terrace on the top floor is great for breakfast and relax.

Fort Villa is a beautiful, romantic and historic structure within the fort of the city, with comfortable and beautiufl rooms and a welcoming reception. We truly appreciated the free room upgrade, which allwed us to enjoy the view on the city and a wonderful, large and tasteful ly furnished room. Although reaching the hotel with luggage is not very easy, the hotel staff is extremely helpful and will offer to carry your baggage from the taxi station, while you enjoy the short walk through the narrow and pictoresque streets of the fort to the hotel.

Too bad breakfast is not available.

Dipak was fantastic, great knowledge, great host! The room was lovely, heritage style. The rooms were big and comfortable. The whole hotel was very unique.

Fort Villa, family-owned Haveli for many generations, has a great location. It is in a more quiet corner inside the fort, and within you’ll find a very calm and serene respite from all the bustle and commotion outside. The owner of the hotel is a well-traveled adventurer and a great storyteller. He is also the epitome of hospitality, helping out with everything big and small. You will not find a better place to rest your weary feet and weathered soul within the walls of this great fort.

Deepak is simply the best hotel owner I’ve the pleasure to meet. Kind enough to give a ride to two friends of mine in another nearby hotel at the arrival, professional on the support during my stay, kind at the checkout to give me extra time and a little discount on the overall bill.

Deepak the owner was super helpful. Offering advice, connections even booking a local train for us completely without any charge. He essentially set up the rest of our week in Rajasthan for us and we had a great time doing the things the locals do. Accomodations itself is like fairy tale. As good as the photos or better. Quiet too (which is a real novelty in India!)

Property located at one end of the fort, walking distance from car park but could be an issue with heavy luggage, as no car access. But the manager picked up the luggage on his bike making it quite comfortable.

Fort villa was absolutely stunning. It’s in a great location inside the fort with lots to see and do around the area. The staff were lovely and our room was so beautiful and clean.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. He had good tips for restaurants and activities. If I had specific questions, he asked and helped me find a solution. I will definitely visit again. I have been to Jaisalmer 4 times in 30 years. :-)

No complaints

The host at fort villa was lovely, and was very responsive to anything we needed. The room was sweet, and the villa was beautiful. It was situated perfectly in the fort, near the famous Jain Temples. The breakfast was delicious, with multiple different options for food!! The rooftop seating area was magnificent with the most amazing views of jaisalmer and the perfect place to watch the sunset.

Not all rooms are pictured on the site! so you may get one which isn’t on the site! But that was fine for us.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, very clean. For jaisalmer, this hotel is located in a more quiet area. The hotel manager responded to our questions and wishes in a very tailor-made manner, presented all offers transparently and did not try to talk us into anything; he organized a lot for us. A really great person, thanks again for everything!

The windows are not soundproof at all, any noise from the street penetrates directly into the room. However, as the hotel is in a (relatively) quieter area, this was not quite so disturbing.

The location of Fort Villa is perfect...right in the heart of the fort, very close to the Jain Temples, but far enough away from the hubbub, so it was very peaceful. The room was amazing, the gentleman who helped us check-in was very kind and helpful. Both the building and the artefacts used for decoration are classically beautiful.

Having to leave, we wished that we had booked to stay a couple more nights. We'll definitely stay here when we return to Jaisalmer...though will remember to bring more woolly clothes if we come back in the winter!

Fort Villa is a welcoming place with beautifully decorated rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are accommodating, friendly and full of great local tips. Staying inside the fort means you can enjoy its charm in the quiet mornings and evenings, away from the crowds. It's a perfect base for a peaceful and authentic stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 days. Luckily we got the free upgrade to a beautiful and aesthetic room. The view from the balcony and rooftop view is great especially during the sunrise and sunset. The staff is very helpful. Deepak ji is a great host. He has tremendous knowledge about Rajasthan culture, places and food. It was really good to listen to him about his experiences. Waiting for him to club those stories into a podcast 😅. He recommended the Shreeji restaurant which turned out to be really good. He helped to arrange for a taxi and camping site in khuri. Awesome experience in khuri. The property is under the fort area. By walking , you can easily access forts , temples , shops. The room was nice and clean, all the amenities were provided.

I wouldn't say i didn't like it but if the food service was there , it could have been a nice add on. But yeah lots of cafes around this place so really not an issue.

We had just the most amazing experience at Fort Villa, Jaisalmer. We got to live within the fort, it felt like being a part of history. The rooms were elegantly decorated and captured the essence of Jaisalmer. The rooms are exactly like shown in the photos. Something that was not expected in even our wildest dreams was the service we got. Deepak ji went out of his way at every moment of our stay to make sure we had the best time and memories. All recommendations and arrangements from him were top class. The place was amazing but the people made our experience special. Thank you Deepak ji, Manish ji and Golu! We will never forget you.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The manager was very helpful, he picked us up from the bus stop and was able to help us out with any queries. We were upgraded to another room for our first two nights which was fantastic - beautiful, spacious, comfortable. The less expensive room we had initially booked was also very comfortable when we moved down there for our final night. The bathrooms are modern and spacious with separate showers and nice toiletries. The location is great.

Fort Villa is a piece of art with a lot of attention to detail. The hosts are lovely, caring and respect your privacy (which is quite special in India). I’d come back anytime!

We loved everything about our stay, but especially how Manish and Deepak look after you in every way! From restaurant recommendations to setting up guides, transportation and excursions, and how not to get ripped off shopping! You are very well looked after when you stay here! They take it all very seriously! They also are generous with their time to teach you about the culture! I could go on and on! The hotel is very well maintained and clean and rooms stay nice and cool. Nice and quiet location in the Fort.
