Lo staff dal principio si è dimostrato disponibile a venirci in contro con un checkin in tarda notte, per poi accoglierci con gentilezza davanti ad ogni nostra richiesta. Camere pulite, terrazza vista forte super carina e, non meno importante, buon cibo. Abbiamo seguito il loro consiglio e fatto l'escursione nel deserto con cena. Suggerisco di non perdere quest'esperienza perché molto autentica. Rimarrà uno dei momenti più magici del viaggio.

Good location and excellent staff

From the moment I arrived I was  greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome that immediately set the tone for my stay.  The bedrooms are so lovely, spacious, blending comfort with traditional Indian charm in every detail. The staff is outstanding—kind, attentive, and the service is always offered with a smile, making me feel truly cared for. One of the highlights is the rooftop restaurant whith a breathtaking view of the fort. Dining here, with authentic and flavorful Rajasthani cuisine - try the Palak Paneer and the Halwa! - was an unforgettable  experience. Every meal felt like a celebration of this region’s rich culinary heritage. Above all, the atmosphere of the hotel feels like home—peaceful, warm, and full of heart. It’s a perfect place to experience Rajasthan’s beauty and hospitality at its warmest.

Ho dato 10 perché la stanza era favolosa, a 8,5 euro a notte per stanza siamo stati benissimo, pulizia eccellente, bagni grandi comodi e puliti. Dopo 10 giorni di alberghi in India è stato fantastico

Il ristorante aveva tempi lunghissimi qualità non eccelsa ma prezzi molto più alti rispetto all' esterno. La cosa che non mi è piaciuta è stata la contrattazione sul tour nel deserto.... È vero che siamo in bassa stagione e che hanno pochi clienti comunque pensavo che avremmo avuto un trattamento di favore, invece ci hanno proposto il pacchetto a una cifra altissima rispetto al prezzo reale dell' esperienza.

Hotel The Surya Jaisalmer is highly praised for its unique location in Jaisalmer, They offers truly authentic and memorable stay. The room are good value for the price and cozy, boutique-style experience. Location and atmosphere is very charming. It's very easy access to the main market and other attractions within the fort.

Prix très raisonnables pour ces chambres bien équipées et très propres. Nous sommes venus en août. Assez proche de la vieille ville où l'on trouve les rickshaws pour monter à la citadelle. On peut même tout faire à pied.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel Surya, grâce à la très grande disponibilité et a la gentillesse de son personnel et en particulier de son propriétaire. L'hôtel est très bien situé et propose un service de qualité. Un excellent rapport qualité prix.

L’emplacement de l’hôtel en fait l’atout principal. Il est situé au cour de la cité dans un endroit calme. La terrasse sur le toit est très agréable en ces fortes chaleurs. Le petit déjeuner (indien à notre demande) est excellent. Le personnel est attentif à vos demandes.

Nous n’avons pas eu la chambre réservée initialement ; en deçà en terme de confort.

It has a great location inside the fort with great views. It’s an ancient haveli - better than being in town. You have to hire a tuk-tuk to get there. There are good restaurants nearby. The staff did best to accommodate us and allowed us to change our room plans. It was clean.

The staff were a little laid back (but maybe that’s a good thing).

I was really good: the hotel is in the middle of the ancient fort od Jaisalmer but just the right distance from the flowing of tourist. It's silent and quite and his rooftop is amazing. The room I had was big, clean and really charming

The hostel is located in the fort and has a nice restaurant with the view of the city. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel rooms are really comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the small balkony a lot. The hotel is located near a lot of sightseeing activities. We can also recommend the restaurant on top of the hotel. We also booked a camel safari with the hotel and spend one night in the destert. The Tour is a bit more expensive then others but if you dont mind paying a bit more I can also recommend it.

The location inside the fort is unmatchable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room is well worth the price! Beautiful interiors, great view on the city. Do try their safari, tailored for adventurers. An amazing hotel I highly recommend.

Good location inside the fort.Easy to explore around. The rooftop has incredible views around and is beautiful at sunrise and sunset. They have a good chef and he cooks good home cooked food.

The double room was small and nonwhere to hang anything. also the sockets are really high up with no extension lead making cahrging anything difficult.

Location is perfect with fabulous rooftop terrace with 2 levels, right on top of the old fort walls with view over the city. Terrace is much nicer than most of the other terraces around. Food is delicious and more or less reasonable priced for this very touristic city. For the view and the atmosphere we would book again, but next time be prepared what to expect.

Only reachable by Tuk Tuk, Hotel claimed to have pick-up service, but we had to pay the Tuk Tuk ourselves (and of course the driver did not have any change, what a surprise). Staff lies regarding beer prices, they will tell you 250, but charge you 350 rupees upon check-out. Demand to pay right after finishing your dinner, otherwise they will postpone the food bill until check-out and charge you more. Staff (the children) is really nice and friendly. Booking.com price changed during our visit and upon check-out we suddenly had to pay 600 rupees more. They do not provide a box for the tip, better give the tip to the children right away, we did not trust the boss to fairly distribute the tip. Rooms were quite dirty, big chunks of dust everywhere and stains on the sheets, buckets in bathroom (for toilet paper) open with not lid and no bag and very little toilet paper provided. Hotel only accepts cash, so make sure to bring some, other guests had to run to ATM‘s to pay.

Lovely welcome, staff (Bhanu and everyone) were extremely friendly, extremely kind and couldn't do enough for us. Location was amazing inside the fort with wonderful south easterly views over the city. Room was clean with beautiful juliet sitting balcony- perfect for warching the sunrise and evening reflection/relaxation.

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner but nothing major (still one of the cleanest bathrooms in rajasthan so don't let that put you off!)

This hotel is great! Facilities are old but well kept, bathroom is very spacious. Bed is comfy enough. Staff is super friendly. Location cannot be beaten, this is super central and inside the Jaisalmer fort. Restaurant was really really good - although a tad overpriced (even for Jaisalmer Fort) Pick up from the airport was an OK deal. Very convenient, but as we traveled further into India, I realize we might have overpaid a little bit.

I booked a room with a balcony, but what the room had I wouldn't call a balcony. It was a small place with 270 degrees windows that protruded out of the room.

We LOVED our stay at Hotel The Surya! Staying inside the fort with a beautiful balcony area to sit and watch the sunrise over Jaisalmer was really an amazing and unique experience. The staff were super lovely and always will to go above and beyond. We have most if not all of our meals at the rooftop restaurant which was fairly priced and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable. We booked an overnight desert camp with them which was awesome and they were helpful and respectful when we expressed our wishes not to have a camel ride included. its an amazing central location for exploring the town- highly recommend.

Hotel is located inside the fort. The view from our room was absolutely incredible. We could see the whole city, it was amazing. The room was big and clean with traditional aesthetics. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s also a rooftop dining with delicious food. This hotel is a must stay if you’re visiting Jaisalmer. Solid 10/10

Staff is kind, rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant is good but the best part of the hotel is the terrace, with one of the most beautiful views you can find in all Jaisalmer.

Dream location built into the walla of the fort. I booked 2 rooms, one for my daughter and her husband was excellent with an amazing view from a balcony window and all good facilities. The one just for me which was a bit cheaper was not quite as good but still good value for money. I didn't realise you could open the window by moving the window seat cushion. Brilliant location in ramparts of city wall with good views. Bar Restaurant on terrace, surprisingly splendid food reasonably priced.

Bathroom pretty tatty with minor ant infestation (didn’t get much beyond the drain areas and not into bedroom so tolerable if you weren’t too squeamish). Balcony just a protruding window seat but OK at a squeeze. For the price could not complain.

Perfect location high in the fort. Great spot for sunrise. Our room faced due east. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and good selection of food and drink. All reasonably priced.

Bed needed warmer covers

Nice and quiet place close to the main attractions. Good restaurant with beautiful few over the city to the lake.

The room and bathroom was very small. Batroom fittings were dirty and old. Bed linen and towels were dirty. And the day of check out they asked us to leave the room at 9am. They suggested us their tent in dunes (wild haritage resort camp) for one night. It was not good at all. It was far from where the dune is. The tent is middle of no where. Food was not good. Very very spicy food. The tent was was full of mosquitoes. They promised jeep safari in the dunes but safari was like for 5km out of which only 500mtrs of dunes. The jeep guy took us to some area where his friends were waiting with quad bikes. First they made us seat on the quad bike then started asking INR 2000 for 15mins ride, on top of that the quad buke guy asked me INR 500 as tips. It was very embarrassing.

This is place is a hidden gem inside the Jaisalmer fort. We liked everything about the place- the people, the ambiance, the view, the food, everything was excellent. The host Surya and his team is really doing a fantastic job and they really knows importance of customer satisfaction and excellent hospitality. They have also arranged our tours to SAM dunes where we also had nothing to complain. I should also mention about Raj who was taking care and severing us the food in the roof top restaurant who is really well behaved, always with a pleasant smiling face. So the decision to stay at this place has really made our whole Jaisalmer stay truly memorable.

Best views in the fort. Exceptional value for money. Staff were very friendly. Ask for Teju if you want information on tours, he’s the most knowledgeable person I met with extensive experience. His approach is down to earth and not pushy at all. Very refreshing when EVERYONE wants your business.

All the staffs were very helpful and well behaved, especially Raj, the young man from Nepal. Restaurant area at the terrace is a nice place to hang around. The views of sunrise from our room was quite breathtaking. Most tourist attractions like Patwon Ki Haveli, Gadisar lake etc. can be reached from here on foot.

I had a wonderful stay at this Hotel, hotel located in the Jaisalmer Fort. The hotel has a beautiful architecture and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was a mix of continental and Indian dishes, and it was very filling. The hotel is great value for money, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

Our stay at the surya hotel inside Jaisalmer Fort was delightful. The cozy and comfortable atmosphere made us feel right at home. Good location in the fort. But no sunrise view

It was mainly open air and it was freezing when I went. No heaters, wood stoves or fires to stay warm.

Right inside the fort overlooking the sun-city. Easily covered everything inside the fort and the nearby by Patwa Haveli by walk.

Rooms are not big enough for the price I paid.
