Traffic noise. Sealing the windows better would improve this greatly.

When reviewing a hotel stay there are so many variables to take into account but for me it eventually comes down to cleanliness and comfort. My aim is to judge each hotel on it's own merits and not compare it unfairly with somewhere else. Hannons may be in "need of modernisation" but it's still a good place to stay.  It was not our first stay in Hannons Hotel and hopefully won't be our last. The staff are so friendly and accommodating from the moment you check in.  Yes the rooms are dated, but they are really clean and comfortable.  Yes the bathrooms could do with a facelift and a walk in shower is always a plus, but our bathroom was again  clean with lashings of hot water and a decent "in bath" shower.  Where Hannons excels is when you arrive down for breakfast. No mid temperature buffet food here. They offer a range of options to accommodate even the fussiest of eaters. Each breakfast is brought to the table piping hot and completely delicious made with good quality ingredients.  It's definitely the best breakfast in Roscommon town and you don't have to be a resident to avail of it.  There were some locals beside us enjoying their Sunday morning breakfast treat which is always a good sign.  A mere 20 minute walk from the centre of town it is worth a stay for the friendly welcome and the excellent food.

В номере было очень холодно Звонила и подходила на ресепшен просила включить отопление (батарея в номере есть)включали на пол часа после каждой просьбы, потом отключали.Отель который экономит на здоровье гостей Просила 3 раза ,утром проснулась с больным горлом и очень замерзла Шведского стола нет, завтраки можно выбрать по меню

All the Staff were very friendly, the room was fine and the bed was very comfortable. Nice selection of food including breakfast.

Another bolt-hole overnight stop for me but it covered what we needed. Comfortable, clean and all that you could ask for of a transfer night between locations.

The room I was allocated was in need of some redecoration - couple of the bathroom fixtures were broken & bathroom itself was fairly basic The stairs carpet was grubby The avocado on the breakfast menu didn't taste like real avocado & the barista coffee wasn't great which was a pity as the menu itself looked very promising

12 noon check out ! And fantastic dinner , turkey and ham ! Like a xmas dinner with a gravy jug ! .

The homeliness of the place . The food was very good . There was an issue with overbooking and the lady at the desk with blond hair went really out of her way to sort it out and return my money

Very friendly staff and a very good hot food breakfast chef.

Room was dark. There was no socket near the mirror to dry my hair. Sockets at the bedside lockers were out of order. Tiles over the bath needed cleaning. Towel rail broke ages ago and was never replaced - screws still in the wall. Buffet breakfast was poor. When orange juice, fruit and yogurt were gone they were not replaced and this was at 9am. Breakfast continued until 10.30. Hot breakfast was very tasty. It could be a beautiful hotel with a little attention

Staff very friendly. Only one complaint was that toilet in the room wasn't cleaned when we went into the room... But staff sorted it out....

Location was easy to get to. Arrived just as restaurant was closing but we got our food in just before closing. Food was great. All round good

Breakfast was excellent - Wide range of options on the menu, cooked to order. Bar food in the evening was good value. Plenty of free car parking.

It was a bit of a walk into the town. Bathrooms a little basic, and maybe in need of renovation

It could be a lot better with some easy fixes. Hair dryers too old and fire hazards. Tea tray in room was dirty. Downstairs toilets are grubby so not a good first impression.

Food, staff, peace and quiet, no fuss, room, service all excellent. The location was very central. Very friendly staff and local people. Food was very reasonably priced with substantial portions. Luke was excellent. He was super efficient and made it all look stress free even though he was very busy. Thank you Luke.

We asked at reception what were things to do/places to see around the area. To be fair these were 2 quite young staff members. They told us there were shops in town and cafes. We had just had lunch! Later during our stay a more senior staff member showed us the folder containing all interesting things to do in the region. This was very helpful. Perhaps alert younger staff that this folder exists!!

Breakfast was included in the price and the breakfast was nice. Good location as it was near to the wedding we were attending. Rooms were a good size.

The two rooms which we had were not clean. There were two chairs in my room which had not been moved in a long time as the cobwebs which had built up behind them was disgusting. There were flies in the cobwebs. A black unit, which did not match the rest of the bedroom furniture had been placed in front of the window making it difficult to open. When I moved the black unit to see if I could get the window open, the carpet had not been cleaned behind the unit in a long time as there was more cobwebs and dust. The carpet didn't meet the wall correctly. There was dust a long all of the skirting boards. My mum asked a staff member for an extension cable or a mirror as none of the plugs in the room were near a mirror. The staff member was very unhelpful and did not look to help with the situation. We were attending a wedding and needed a plug near to a mirror. We had to move a wardrobe ourselves for a mirror to be nearer to a plug. We left the wardrobe where it was to attend the wedding, when I returned my room had been serviced with new towels, but the carpet had not been hoovered to remove the thick dust which had built up behind the wardrobe!! It was still expensive enough for the standard of rooms which we got, I wouldn't stay again.

Prima hotel voor deze prijs. Kamer was groot. Badkamer kon wel een opknapbeurtje gebruiken, maar douche was prima. Ontbijt/diner was goed, wel erg druk, zeker als de locals ook komen eten.

General attitude -We returned to Hannon's expecting the good standard we experienced during our many previous visits, and even requested our 'usual' room, well in advance, but we were completely disappointed by our stay. My husband is disabled, yet we were placed in an attic room that was entirely unfit for purpose and unsafe. The conditions were unbearable, as the room was stiflingly hot, stuffy, and lacked proper ventilation. The tiny window couldnt be opened. To make matters worse, there were safety hazards, including a loose toilet seat that created a fall risk for someone with mobility issues and the shower was dirty. When we complained to the staff, we were given the insulting excuse that the best rooms were being kept for "returning Italians," which felt like a slap in the face to loyal, returning guests like ourselves. Management attempted to resolve the issue by giving us a meal voucher, but this was entirely useless as our holiday was already ruined. We were treated like second-class citizens and were finally given the room we had originally requested the day before we were set to leave (we presume the Italians had gone). A simple meal voucher cannot fix a ruined holiday or compensate for a total lack of basic respect.

Location was very good.

Lack of selection at breakfast, no pastries or bread apart from thick white slices for toast, no fruit or yogurts. Cooked breakfast was dry and the scrambled egg was extremely salty.

The staff were all very friendly and professional. Loved the food and room was nice and comfy. Great value for money.

- Die Sauberkeit (überall Staub und Kalk). - Die Einrichtung des Zimmers ist definitiv sanierungsbedürftig. - Die Raucherecke direkt unter dem Schlafzimmerfenster. - Das gerade einmal ca. 140cm breite Bett. - Die laute Hauptstrasse neben dem Hotel und die schlechten Fenster. - Die kalten Frühlingsrollen im Restaurant. - Ein anderes Menü wie bestellt wurde geliefert. - Überall Krümmel auf den Bänken und am Boden im Restaurant. - Salz- und Pfefferstreuer ölig.

Nice hotel, very clean, eccellent breakfasy (included in room rate). Nice location. Easy 20min walk to town. Very customer friendly reception chap, very helpful. Has bar and very good reztaurant, roast dinner was excellent.

Bed was a small double and the bathroom was tired. Shower needs updating. You are by a busy road so be prepared for traffic noise.
