From the moment we arrived (early) nothing was too much trouble. Roberta on the reception desk was so lovely and welcoming. Helped us out with towels to allow us to use the amazing roof top pool whilst we waited for our room to be ready. Special mention to Georgia ❤️ who helped make our 1st day so special serving us way too many drinks 🍸 😄😉 (and thereafter serving us breakfast always with a smile 😃) and to Marko 🎶 (the pianist who plays whilst the sun sets around the pool and lounge downstairs) who very kindly tried his best to play my request. To Giuseppe who was also always friendly. You are all what makes this place special. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ (The amazing sunsets help 🤣🤣) We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days with you to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary 🥰 Thank you for the memories we made on our 1st but won't be our last visit to Sicily.

The only thing I would like to warn future guests about is the floor tiles around the pool are extremely slippery when wet, so walk around with care after having a dip. **To the hotel a few warning signs and edging strips would be very helpful**

Not good value for money as the hotel is very expensive and located in a noisy area (beach night club across the street and Luna park, keeping us awake until 3am) Loud Music which is constant by the pool and can be heard non stop from the rooms below during the day Rooms are badly insulated, every chair/furniture being moved can be heard several rooms apart and we were kept awake by noisy nocturnal neighbours every night sadly The breakfast spread, the towels, and the amenities in the room, were sadly not up to standard with a 4*

The pool on rooftop was good; overall styling was good

Massively overpriced — the “luxury”, “sea view” and “private beach” positioning is very misleading. We paid over £300 per night and the experience was nowhere near that standard. The room was tiny, with almost no storage, and the facilities and cleanliness felt more like a basic 2–3 star hotel. Water was not complimentary and even the toiletries felt extremely cost-cutting. The soundproofing was awful — the door was practically as thin as paper and we could hear everything outside. We had specifically booked a sea-view room but were given one right next to the lift. The “sea view” was limited, and because of the location we could hear people coming and going around the lift and corridor very clearly. I called reception about the noise and was simply told there was nothing they could do. Breakfast was poor and limited. Amazingly, we were even told we could not take a bottle of water from breakfast and could only pour ourselves a glass to drink there. The “private beach” was probably the most misleading part. It is not actually the hotel’s own private beach: you receive a voucher for a nearby partner beach club and still have to pay €20 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. The front rows were reserved while we were placed further back. You receive one towel per person, which must be returned, and an extra towel costs €4 as a “laundry fee”. The issue is not simply the high price. It is the enormous mismatch between the price/marketing and the actual experience. Tiny room, terrible soundproofing, disappointing sea view, mediocre breakfast, paid “private beach”, and constant penny-pinching. For £300+ a night, this felt far more like an overpriced tourist trap than a luxury hotel. Would absolutely not return.

Il etait tres bien situé pour nous. Il etait près du village sans être dans le feu de l’action. La piscine sur le toit était superbe pour se rafraîchir des journées de marche sous la canicule. Le personnel était très gentil.

The Spa is far too expensive. In some hotels the spa is free or a small charge. The breakfast was typical continental but considering the price of the hotel, I would have expected better.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Geräumige Zimmer und sehr bequeme Betten. Ein Highlight ist natürlich der Rooftop-Pool mit Aussicht auf das Städtchen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. Schöner privater Strandabschnitt des Hotels, für Gäste inklusive. Ich habe eine Rückenmassage genossen, war herrlich.

Leider gab es an der Rooftop-Bar kein Essig/Oel mehr für den Salat.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Hotel. The location is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. A special thank you to Nina, who was exceptionally helpful, professional, and welcoming from the moment we checked in.

Kjempefint hotell med en flott takterrasse med basseng. Rent og fint på rommet. Gode senger.

Hotellet ligger ved siden av et stort tivoli som åpner kl 22.00. Det er også nærmeste nabo til en stor utendørs nattklubb. Det var derfor utrolig mye støy gjennom hele natten.

I would not consider this a “Luxury” hotel. Rooms are small. We had a junior suite with private pool. There is no space , except the floor, to put a full size suitcase. No draws to put clothes . The other problem is they give you 1 room key which has to be used to control the AC and lights. So when you go out and take the key with you, the AC does not run. When you return from being out, the room is very warm. Thankful we had the private pool to cool down while the room cooled down, Everything else was just ok, not bad but not great either.

No restaurant at the hotel Very smaii parking

Loved the rooftop pool and distance to the old town. I also liked that the hotel has its own section of the beach and it’s not crowded. The room was nice and modern too. Breakfast was great and staff were very nice.

One night there was noise from adjacent club but it didn’t bother me .

We thought this hotel was just ok/average, location is not ideal but if staying at a hotel this is kinda the area. The beach is incredibly rocky where the hotels are located and its a good walk if you want to visit the historic city center streets where all the shopping and restaurants are located. The rooms were both underwhelming, appeared clean for the most part but we definitely noticed several areas for improvement. We were also traveling with our children, emailed the hotel in advance to ensure the rooms were close to each other, assured they would be and upon check in were told it was not possible with an "oh well" attitude. The staff didn't do anything to make or break our stay, likely will try the Sea Palace on our next trip or an Air B&B in a better location. Our kids got room 001 which is right next to the breakfast area and the staff were incredibly loud very early in the morning. There is also a night club across the street that is quite loud, we were on the first floor and the outside doors to hallways are left open so you can hear the club until they close.

Great location and comfortable room, although very irritating that there were no drawers, but some hanging space, so we lived out of suitcases for a week!! The Receptionist on our arrival was unhelpful to the point of rudeness. I did have a massage which was great. The roof pool and bar were great, but it was disappointing that food was only served for a limited time. The indoor bar was erratic in its opening with no ice available. We expected more and better management from a 4star hotel.

La colazione è un vero punto di forza: ricca e golosa, con un'ampia scelta tra dolce e salato, perfetta per iniziare la giornata nel migliore dei modi. La spiaggia è splendida e ben organizzata, con spazi pensati per godersi il mare in totale tranquillità, senza affollamento. Monotonne ale smaczne śniadania. Włosi poranek zaczynają głownie na słodko. Mało miejsca na przechowywanie rzeczy. Niedoróbki w łazience. Ogólnie jest dobrze, czepiam sie detali. Hotel ma potencjał ale pewne rzeczy wymagają poprawy.

Fabulous location right on the beach with a stunning rooftop infinity pool and Cefalù old town as a backdrop. West facing balconies enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Lovely modern hotel.

Thin walls and doors so soundproofing was pretty non existent to the hallways.

Prachtig hotel. Mooie, koele kamers. Schoon. Medewerkers van het hotel waren echt heel aardig en behulpzaam. Ze waren attent. Eigenaar is persoonlijk en steekt met zijn team veel liefde in deze prachtige plek. Op het dakterras is een zwembad en bar met heerlijke drankjes en lekkere bedden. Het uitzicht is amazing. De ligging is goed. Alle mooie plekjes zijn op loopafstand te bereiken. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en lekker. Het glutenvrije ontbijt mag iets gezonder en gevarieerder. Dus toplocatie en zeker een plek om aan te bevelen en terug te keren!

Modern buiding.

Side view very messy and carnival equipment next door was very noisy with a party until 5 .00am Bed and furniture shabby. Linen especially bed linen not crisp hotel standard. However the housekeeping staff were very helpful. . Foyer that is first umpression the plants were dead. Did not fill us with confidence that there was attention to detail Also our taxi to airport was booked for the wrong time.

It's a modern hotel in a good location on the beachfront, 15 min walk to the old town. Direct access to beach across the road. Parking garage below the hotel was really useful.

The room was functional with a comfortable bed and decent shower, but misleadingly described as a junior suite with pool. It's actually a normal sized double with a small decked terrace and cool plunge pool that's ok for dangling your feet in. The hotel is totally lacking in ambience, common areas are uninviting and empty. Overall it delivers a budget hotel vibe at a top hotel price.

The hotel is in a good location and offers a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast was good and provided a nice start to the day. It was also nice to have access to the hotel’s private beach. The rooftop area with the swimming pool is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the views.

Unfortunately, our room was located on the ground floor, which came with several drawbacks. The room was quite bright at night because of the building’s exterior lighting, which remains on until midnight. There is also an amusement park nearby, which creates noticeable noise, especially in the evening. However, the biggest issue was the sound insulation, which is by far the weakest aspect of the hotel. We could hear almost everything from the neighboring rooms and from the floor above, making it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep. In addition, the breakfast room and bar are located directly in front of some of the ground-floor rooms. Early in the morning, the noise from plates, cups, and guests starts immediately. If you are someone who enjoys sleeping in or is sensitive to noise, this may be a significant inconvenience. Overall, the noise levels had a noticeable impact on our stay.

- Room was a good size. - Lady on the reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. - Air con worked well. - Gym/fitness room was good with decent equipment. - Private beach was a great surprise and very nearby.

- Soundproofing could have been ever so slightly improved in the rooms but wasn’t too bad.

The Sunset Hotel is striking & modern building, located in a quieter part of the town opposite a lovely promenade & the beach (which is stunning). An easy & enjoyable 10-15 minute walk into Cefalu old town. The pool area was beautiful, fantastic views & the pool maintenance/service staff were very friendly & helpful. The private beach area was also beautiful, right opposite the hotel with good sunbeds and a friendly attendant/life guard. I'd recommend beach shoes, quite a few rocks in the sea to navigate. Cefalu itself is fabulous, buzzy, loads to see & do. Numerous fantastic restaurants & very reasonably priced. Our room was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels, toiletries and a good power shower. Check out was easy & the gentlemen on the front desk was very helpful , friendly. The cleaning staff were also very friendly & accommodating. The hotel is an easy 12 minute walk to Cefalu train station, less than an hour to travel into Palermo should you wish.

The check in experience was disappointing. It felt awkward & lacked any warmth or enough information. No help was offered with our cases when several staff were nearby. Our room felt small for 2 people. The jacuzzi was cold & not worth the extra cost, however that was my choice to book the room pool option. My husband used the gym after a frustrating experience being told it was open then finding it closed & having to find someone who then told him it was actually shut for a few hours. No water was provided in the gym when he eventually had access. Breakfast service was unfortunately very disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. Every morning we had to wait far too long for someone to take our coffee order & I was told several times to wait because I had asked the wrong person to help. I had to ask for a spoon every day! It was virtually impossible to get further coffees. I did raise my issues with one of the waiting staff & they said they would tell the manager. The food itself & choice was good. We did have a pleasant stay overall however the service does need improving in some areas, notably on the front desk & at breakfast.

The room was very comfortable with good aircon, very comfortable bed and a lovely sea view. The rooftop pool and bar was lovely but could do with more shade options. Breakfast was good and staff were help and friendly. Good beach facilities which made a beach trip very relaxing.

It could be more accessible, given it’s a modern hotel - there are a large number of steps up from the street and no-one on hand to help. There is a lift but not from street level. The spa facilities are an extra charge which was disappointing.

We stayed here for 5 nights. We had a lovely relaxing time. The help from Nina on reception was brilliant, she organised a coast to coast 3 hour boat trip which was great fun. Breakfasts were very efficient and the food was lovely. You can ask for scrambled eggs! We used the beach opposite for days on the beach. 2 sunbeds and one umbrella are 20 euros. On Saturday and Sunday they are 30 euros. We didn’t use the sun terrace as when we stayed, there was a wedding party staying (wedding at another venue). They took over the terrace so it was noisy and not really relaxing. The promenade is a great place to watch the phenomenal sunsets. There is a supermarket 5 minutes from the hotel.

That they asked for us to bring the pool towels back down to reception. Strange request. Only hotel where towels aren’t at the pool and that we had to return to reception.

L'hotel avrebbe anche del potenziale. Il problema è la mancanza di professionalità di alcuni membri dello staff. La mattina del mio check out non c'era acqua nella stanza (sicuramente non colpa dell'albergo) ma la gestione dell'emergenza è stata disastrosa. Nessuna comunicazione ufficiale e risposte scocciate del personale a mia domanda. Stessa cosa quando ho chiesto un taxi. Sono spesso in viaggio e ho visto raramente una tale mancanza completa di cultura del servizio. Sconsiglierei vivamente quest'albergo anche per il rapporto qualità prezzo.

The rooms were quite small but fine for 2 nights. The door of our shower did fall off, not very stable. We went to reception twice asking for towels for the beach and pool and they had none both times. We didn't get to use the pool as people seemed to put towels down and leave for hours. This could be better managed. If you are beside a room that is noisy, you here everything!! Didn't get to use the gym as it opening hours were restrictive.

- Small rooms - no sound proofing - could here people quite clearly - Cleaners set up outside our room for the whole day - felt like we had no privacy - the description of our room as a junior suite was a joke - private pool is the size of a spa but no jets or heating - so a cool outdoor bath - we didn’t use it and doubt anyone does. Even pool loungers would have made it usable rather than 2 plastic chairs Twice requested assistance from reception- both times promised but not delivered - breakfast ok - underwhelming. - the whole property is averagely maintained. Not dreadful but every where you look could be better with a small amount of effort. Given it is the beginning of summer it doesn’t seem hard.

It was our second time in the hotel. We love everyone and everything there. Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. We had massages with Georgia. She is an excellent massage therapist. She works at the pool too and at the breakfast too. She is a hard worker. Giuseppe works at the breakfast. He was so helpful, and kind. Nancy was another friendly person at the breakfast. Senior Salvatore worked at the breakfast and at the front desk too. We already knew him from last year. Other front desk people were Roberta, Nina, and Junior Salvatore. Everyone was wonderful. What a friendly and professional people! We can’t wait to go back next year, and see them again.

No kettle in room and no self service coffee at breakfast. No "garden view" as our room stated. We had a dissapointing ground floor balcony looking out on a wasteland with no sun. Cocktails at pool very expensive!

Läget på hotellet var helt fantastiskt, en prommenad på 15-20 minuter till ”Gamla stan” och stor matbutik 7 minuter bort. Fantastisk utsikt. Tycker rummet var stort och härlig stor dusch. Helt ok skön säng. Frukosten var bra men de va lite dåligt påfyllt när man kom senare. Man fick kaffe serverat till bordet vilket kändes lyxigt. Baren vid poolen var uppskattad då man kunde både äta och dricka där.

Poolen var tyvärr iskall och kallare än havet, vilken var väldigt tråkigt men det gick att bada i den när det var riktigt varmt men det blev som ett isbad. Lite saker i rummet som var trasigt till exempel krokar till handdukar. Vårat rum blev inte städat en dag vilket var tråkigt men vi fick sedan rena handdukar iaf från receptionen. Vi trodde att spa entré ingick i priset men det gjorde det tyvärr inte, vi kanske hade gjort dålig research. Entré i spaet kostade 45 euro.

Das Hotel Sunset ist in Strandnähe gelegen. Man ist in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss im Stadtzentrum. Das Frühstück ist gut und man kann auch Eierspeisen bestellen.

Die Einfahrt in die Tiefgarage ist etwas speziell - eng.

Un petit désagrément sur la chambre mais le patron a vite trouvé une solution j’ai rarement vu un patron aussi agréable.
