Organic Garden Resort Sigiriya

The family was very welcoming and helpful. They assisted us with transport and organised a safari. The pool was an absolute delight and we couldn’t get enough of their amazing food. Excellent breakfast and don’t miss the roti!!

We liked it all and strongly recommend to stay here.

L’accueil, le personnel, le petit déjeuner, la piscine, l’emplacement, le petit restaurant juste en face. Très serviable : il y avait des taches sur mes draps et des moustiques dans la chambre, ils ont immédiatement changé les draps et apporté 2 prises anti moustiques

Les draps parfois tachés, moustiques en raison des portes en bois non hermétiques.

Personnel très accueillant et repas très bons. Piscine très agréable.

Pagamento anche in carta. Ci hanno organizzato sia il safari che l’escursione in kayak. Essendo una struttura aperta da poco, stanno facendo dei lavori per migliorarla ancora di più.

No quisieron engañar y eso hizo desagradable el final. Si no fuera por eso todo había estado genial. Es una pena que pasen este tipo de situaciones porque yo no lo recomiendo.

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait, le personnel est adorable. Un peu à l’écart de la ville, c’est très calme. Il n’y a pas de restaurant dans l’hôtel mais ils nous ont proposés de commander un repas. C’était parfait et pas cher. En face de l’hôtel, il y a un petit restaurant familial où l’on mange très bien. Les gens y sont également très accueillants. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel.

Tout était absolument parfait : le lieu, le jardin, la piscine, la chambre et le personnel.

Very specious family room with Lion Rock View! The pool is beautiful and the people are incredibly friendly! I celebrated my birthday and they did everything to make it very special!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The check-in and check-out process was quick and hassle-free.

Sehr moderner Pool und eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die beiden Felsen und Reisfelder. Auch die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und haben alle Wünsche erfüllt.

Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen und es gibt ansonsten keine Restaurants/Geschäfte in der näheren Umgebung. Sollte man wissen, ist aber nicht so schlimm da das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut ist

Das Hotel ist ein sehr gastfreundlicher Familienbetrieb. Man kann Fahrräder im Hotel mieten und damit zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten radeln, es ist eine schöne Strecke und nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt. Das Hotel organisiert auf Wunsch die Abholung am Bahnhof und Fahrten in andere Städte in der Umgebung, dieser Service war sehr bequem für uns.

Peaceful location with a view of the 2 great rocks from our balcony, only 10 minute drive away. Good communication by the staff beforehand and during our stay, who provided a lovely dinner (pre ordered) and breakfast, and towels for the pool. Pool lovely too. Card payment possible which was a nice change.

Wir haben etwas mit der Bewertung gewartet, um sie mit anderen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka zu vergleichen. Das Zimmer hatte eine tolle Aussicht auf den Lion Rock und der Pool was super. Darum war es wohl auch die teuerste Unterkunft in unseren 4 Wochen. Aufgrund des Preises aber leider auch nur 8 Punkte, da das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz überzeugt. Der Service ist auch super freundlich und hilfreich.

Im Bad viel Schimmel an der Decke, was man auch im Zimmer gerochen hat wenn die Klimaanlage nicht lief. Bei der Feuchtigkeit in Sigiriya schwierig zu verhindern, aber wir haben es auch noch anders erlebt, weshalb dies negativ reinspielt.

Widząc basen i zdjęcia chcieliśmy zostać 3-4 dni. Jednak zdjęcia mocno zrenderowane, sprzed dobrych kilku lat. Standard typowo lokalny. Ostatecznie zrezygnowaliśmy z noclegu po zajrzeniu do pokoju, który mieliśmy dostać. Dodatkowo, basen zarośnięty glonami. Poolbar chyba bardzo dawno nie używany. Śniadanie lokalne, ale bardzo skromne. Udało się dogadać z gospodarzem, aby nie obciążył nas 100% kosztów (zapłaciliśmy na miejscu 50% ceny).

Het is ietwat ver vanuit Sigirya. Maar wij hadden een tuktuk dus geen probleem. En je kunt bij het hotel lekker eten dus je hoeft de deur niet uit als je niet wil.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Organic Garden Resort. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre chambre avec balcon offrant une vue sur le Rocher du Lion. La chambre était propre, confortable et bien aménagée, avec une literie de grande qualité. La piscine est également un vrai plus dans cette région très ensoleillée. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le petit déjeuner qui était copieux et savoureux. Nous recommandons également le dîner, très bon et qualitatif. L’emplacement est très agréable, calme et paisible, à environ 20 minutes du Rocher du Lion. Nous souhaitons enfin souligner la gentillesse, la disponibilité et l’adaptabilité du personnel : toujours souriant et très serviable. L’expérience client a été exceptionnelle — sans doute l’un des meilleurs hôtels que nous ayons testés au Sri Lanka — avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Mention spéciale pour le service. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

It was very convenient for visiting the sights of Sigiraya and Dambulla. The owners and staff were very helpful. The food was tasty as were the cocktails. The garden and pool area looked restful.

Some minor maintenance issues, i.e the air-conditioning unit leaking. Some more bedding would have been helpful. Room a little dark.

Il faut vraiment choisir la chambre 5 avec balcon et vue sur la rizière et les rochers de Sigiriya. C'est fantastique. Le personnel est discret et sympathique. La piscine est top. Grande chambre et grande salle de bains avec climatisation. L'environnement est super on a vu plein d'oiseaux.

Quand on arrive on a l'impression que l'hôtel est en chantier. Le personnel semblait un peu perdu et a essayé de nous donner les chambres du rez-de-chaussée. Restaurant tres bruyant juste en face. Le soir j'ai dû aller leur faire baisser la musique.

Great location, excellent home cooked curry

This was our first experience of Sri Lankan hospitality and it was brilliant. From arrival to the day we left the staff were fantastic, they do everything to make sure your comfortable and have everything you need. The owner Ajith kept in touch on whatsapp to check if we wanted dinner or the room cleaned as we were out early each day, he also helped us with early transport to Lion rock. The food was lovely and well priced, we had dinner here everynight. We stayed on the top floor with a view of pidurangala and Lion rock, the room was large, the bed was big and comfy, bathroom was good and the balcony was great, lots of wildlife to see. Very happy with our choice to stay here.

Le bruit des travaux en cours dans l’établissement qui commençaient très tôt à 7h00 du matin. Petit déjeuner léger.

Los dueños son absolutamente amables y disponibles , eso es lo mejor de este lugar junto con la piscina , las camas también son muy cómodas.

Había reformas pero no fue un problema ya que cuando estábamos nosotros paraban el ruido, cuando acaben será un sitio muy bonito. Las habitaciones y baño necesitan pintura

Booked the deluxe room with balcony but ended up with a worse room without a balcony or a virw

We had a really nice stay at Organic Garden. The owners and the staff are very kind and helpful, the garden and the pool are absolutely gorgeous and relaxing- much better the the photos. All our requests were answered with kindness and patience. We loved the location in the quiet area with nice green views away from the road and all the noise. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. Mr Ajith was very kind during our entire stay and spent time to answer our questions.

I think the rooms could do with a bit of refreshing, even though they were comfortable. We had dinner there and even though the food was ok and again nicely served we found it to be a bit expensive.

Amazing people who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and looked after. We did a great cooking course with the owner’s mum who was also an amazing cook. Best curry ever. The bedroom was big, nice and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The swimming pool with bar was a real treat too (especially with the lovely, fresh towels) after mornings hiking on Sigiriya rock and in the evenings after dinner.

Lovely place to stay. The staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast and dinner was brilliant. Swimming pool was nice also. Its a bit from the town itself but it's cool being out in the middle of the jungle. Would definetly recommend.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön inmitten der Natur. Man hat vom Balkon aus einen tollen Blick auf Sigiriya und den Pidurangala Rock. Die Atmosphäre im Garten und am Pool ist sehr angenehm und entspannt. Das Personal war supernett und das Essen war sehr lecker.

Das Zimmer mit dem Bad wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Durch die Lage sind abends auf dem offenen Flur sehr viele Mücken, aber da kann man wohl auch nicht so viel gegen machen...

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Rustig gelegen, voor ons was de locatie ideaal! Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt, avondeten was ook heel lekker! De gastfamilie was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat ons verblijf nog aangenamer maakte. We raden Organic Garden Resort Sigiriya ten zeerste aan!

Eine sehr nette liebevolle Familie, super tolles Essen, sehr zuvorkommend. Hilfreich bei der Tour zum Lions Rock und hilfreich für den Transfer zur Busstation. Der Pool ist grandios. Der Blick vom Balkon auch

In der Nebensaison muss man bei jeder Unterkunft mit Baustellen rechnen. Das ist normal auch wenn es ein bisschen gestört hat. Etwas teurer die Unterkunft und das Essen als woanders aber trotzdem eine große Empfehlung!

Toller, sauberer Pool mit Poolbar und zur Vefügung gestellten Badetüchern. Gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. Ruhige Lage mit Blick auf die beiden Rocks. Perfekt zum Erholen nach den beiden Aufstiegen.

Nuestra habitación era en la planta baja y no tenía ventana, solo puerta. Imagino que las de la planta superior serían mucho más agradables, con vistas a la roca. La nuestra resultó agobiante.

Mooie accommodatie in Sigiriya. Erg vriendelijk personeel en een van de mooiere en schone zwembaden die we hebben gezien tijdens onze rondreis door Sri Lanka. Airco lekte en dit hebben ze direct opgelost. Elke dag heerlijk ontbijt en ook het avondeten en de lunch is erg goed. Locatie is iets verder van alles af, maar met een eigen tuktuk super te doen! Kamer was ook netjes en schoon. We wilden gebruik maken van de wasservice, maar omdat het zo weinig was heeft de eigenaresse voor ons gewassen, erg lief!

De kamers en entree kan nog gezelliger aangekleed worden. Hier waren ze volgensmij nog mee bezig.

Por la noche se escucha un ruido de alguna máquina o aire acondicionado fuera que entra en la habitación, molesto para dormir pero lo solucionamos con tapones.

El personal és molt amable, els esmorzars son especraculars, la zona de la piscina magnifica i les habitacions confortables. Vam sopar al restaurant totes les nits, és el millor que he menjat a Sri Lanka.

Dit kleinschalige complex doet er alles aan om zijn gasten goed te verzorgen. Van te voren al contact via whatsapp. Na het inchecken, kan je terecht in het heerlijke zwembad met bar. De familie maakt de lekkerste maaltijden. Ook het ontbijt elke dag was voortreffelijk. Fijne locatie om de lion rock te beklimmen.

lovely small family hotel, with I estimate 6 rooms. Family atmosphere, but very professionally run. Lovely owner. Clean, good facilities, big pool in secluded garden with pool beds and even a small bar. Excellent food, choice of Srilankan or European taste. Well centered to visit the environment 10 minutes from rock, 40 minutes dambulla, everything in the cultural triangle within an hour drive. Oasis to start your day from and end it.

Cama muy cómoda, todo estaba muy limpio. Tienes café, te y agua en la habitación. La piscina estaba muy limpia. El personal es muy amable y te ayuda en todo lo que está en su mano. La comida del restaurante está deliciosa y cocinada con mucho amor. El desayuno que está incluido es increíblemente rico y con muchas cosas diferentes. Sin duda repetiríamos, estuvimos muy felices!!
