Atencion excelente y conida casera cena y desayuno.muy buena con excelente atencion. Al estar en medio naturaleza hay alguna cucaracha o rana pequeʼna en el baño

Besonders gut fanden wir das Rice and Curry, im Nachhinein das beste Essen das wir in Sri Lanka bekommen haben. Die Safari, die für uns organisiert wurde, war spitze. Sehr sauber, sehr schöner Pool, sehr nette Leute. Besonders gut für Gäste, die Kontakt zu den locals schätzen, denn wir wurden sehr umsorgt. Für uns für zwei Nächte perfekt.

We chose Tropicara Resort because the location was quite central to the attractions in the region and also because it has a pool (which was clean, well maintained and most welcome after some hot days of hiking). The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and will attend to whatever you need! They create a nice welcoming vibe at breakfast and dinner.

Maximal was man sagen könnte, ist dass es nicht direkt in der stadt war, aber das ist bei der ausstattung und ruhe in der Gegend kein problem

As I booked this for my makeup artist, I don't have direct experience of the facilities. However, I understand that that facilities were decent and clean.

There was a staff member who was rude to the makeup artist (I booked on her behalf). She had to leave at 5.45 am to do my hair and makeup for the wedding. However the staff had not allowed her to leave and had apparently been rude to her as the amount was not paid. I didn't realise that the payment is not been taken for my card. I think it would have best resolved if they called me. In the end we called the hotel and I paid the amount later that day after my wedding ceremony was over. It was unnecessary stress on my wedding day. Furthermore, this staff member was reportedly drunk when the makeup artist arrived for check in and he had made some uncalled for remarks.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec un super accueil de Rajitha, la cuisine était de qualité, tout comme les conseils.

Estuvimos 4 días en este alojamiento y nos han tratado súper bien. Han sido muy amables y atentos. Rajitha se ha preocupado mucho por nosotros y por mejorar nuestra estancia. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Spacious rooms and very friendly staff. We had Breakfast and Lunch and it was excellent. They cater for your needs and can cook anything you request.

L’ensemble du personnel est le propriétaire sont très sympathiques et aux petits soins pour les clients. Les chambres sont très propres et très bien équipées. La piscine est impeccable, il y a un entretien régulier de tous les espaces. le responsable est à l’écoute de nos besoins. Il nous a trouvé un pressing, et nous a même organisé le Safari en ayant un très bon prix pour la Jeep. Il nous a également aidé pour nos démarches auprès de l’aéroport qui a perdu nos valises, il y a juste à côté un restaurant exceptionnel avec un couple très gentil et des prix très abordables. Si vous n’avez pas de chauffeur Il y a des tuktuk Si vous souhaitez vous rendre à la ville la plus proche car l’hôtel est effectivement un petit peu éloigné.

Tout est très bien pour nous

Le personnel été très sympathique et très respectueux, la proximité de la route principale desservant les lieux touristiques les plus proches.

- La tenue du jardin et de la piscine avec seulement deux bains de soleil en très mauvais état pour 8 chambres mais surtout les monts de déchets présent au abord du restaurant ce qui fait très négligé - Le petit déjeuner qui ne présente pas la qualité des autres hôtels du Sri Lanka loin de la - Une chambre manquant d’équipement sommaire tel que sèche cheveux, bouteille d’eau de bienvenue ect… - Le propriétaire brûle des déchets juste derrière les chambres avec des fumées abondantes qui entre dans les chambres ! Pour terminer, l’obligation de régler en espèce alors que sur Booking il est indiqué qu’un règlement en carte bancaire est possible. Personnellement nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel hormis pour le personnel qui est très agréable.

Badkamer was niet zo hygiënisch

El manager del hotel es muy facilitador. Se celebró la final del mundo cuando nos hospedamos allí; y al retransmitirse tarde por la noche, volvimos tarde al hotel, estuvo atento para abrirnos la puerta y no nos puso ningún problema. Todo el personal del hotel son encantadores, el desayuno está muy rico y la habitación es amplia y cómoda.

Quizás renovar un poco el baño.

Das Personal war super freundlich. Wir konnten alle Ausflüge easy über das Hotel buchen. Jeden Abend genossen wir ein sehr feines Essen im Hotel.

Leider hatten wir Ameisen im Badezimmer.

A wonderful and authentic stay – we would definitely come back! We had a fantastic stay at Tropicara and felt truly welcome from the very first minute. The whole team was incredibly kind, but the manager, Rama, deserves special thanks. He was exceptionally friendly, warm, attentive, and always tried his best to make sure we had everything we needed. You could really feel that he genuinely cared about his guests. During our four days, we had an amazing time. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. We visited Sigiriya (Lion Rock), several other nearby rock temples, and took an elephant safari in the Eco Park, which was much less crowded and more enjoyable than some of the more famous parks. Back at the hotel, we relaxed by the pool, the kids had lots of fun, and we even spent time with the staff opening fresh coconuts together. These little moments made our stay feel very personal and authentic. The food was excellent. Every evening the staff made sure we were happy, always asking if there was anything else we needed. The Sri Lankan dishes were delicious, and the desserts were outstanding. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we even appreciated the USB charging ports next to the bed. Fresh towels were always available whenever we needed them. Overall, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. If you’re looking for a warm, authentic place with wonderful people and a perfect base for exploring Sigiriya and the surrounding area, we can highly recommend Tropicara. Thank you, Rama, and the entire team, for making our stay so memorable. We hope to see you again one day!

Prachtig! hele ruime kamer en het eten is echt heerlijk, een uitgebreide menu kaart en veel verschillende keuzes. prachtig zwembad en een heel schoon verblijf!

Het eten was echt uitstekend! Onwijs lieve familie die het hotel runt. We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Het is mooi, schoon en het zwembad is een fijne plek.

Fijn en luxe verblijf, ruime en schone kamers. Lief personeel wat alles voor je doet. De eigenaar bracht ons om 4.45u naar de Pidurangala rock voor een hike. Eten was hier ruim en heerlijk!

De locatie klopte niet waardoor we een half uur omgereden zijn. Het is met de TukTuk wel 25 minuten naar centrum van Sigiriya rijden.

Het personeel, het zwembad & het eten

Loved our 4-night stay at Tropicara! The family running the hotel are kind and the service is exceptional. The facilities are impeccably clean, our room was huge and very comfortable. The highlight for us was the food. We had Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner at the property every day, and every time it was different and delicious. The chef takes absolute pride in his cooking and always had a little surprise with every dish. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool to cool off.

Be mindful that the location is slightly outside the nearby towns, which also makes the property quiet and peaceful. Would suggest to the hotel to add some cushions to the sun loungers by the pool.

The food was lovely..would recommend the included dinner bed and breakfast package. Food portions are generous and tasty with plenty of variety too. Would highly recommend having the sri lankan breakfast which does need to be pre booked. Staff were excellent and very friendly and accommodating.

Air con was a bit tricky to keep at a constant temperature but this would not put us off.

Nous avons tout aimé dans cet hôtel, nous mettons rarement d’avis mais la gentillesse du personnel vaut bien cela ! Le personnel nous fait nous sentir comme des rois, toujours au petit soin. Pour vous dire, un matin, nous ne trouvions pas de taxi et le propriétaire nous a même proposé de nous déposer ! La nourriture est excellente avec une excellent rapport qualité prix. Merci au chef cuisinier. Petit havre de paix : allez y les yeux fermés !

L’établissement est un petit peu excentré, pas beaucoup de resto à côté, mais cela n’est pas grave car la nourriture est excellente.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and lovely garden with pool. The home cooking was delicious. Hosts very professional and friendly.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Die gesamte Anlage sowie der Pool waren sehr gepflegt und sauber. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, ebenfalls sehr sauber und wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Wir haben sowohl dort gefrühstückt als auch zu Abend gegessen – beides war sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders positiv fanden wir auch, dass die Anlage über Nacht abgeschlossen wird, wodurch wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt haben. Wenn man allerdings sehr früh zum Sonnenaufgang los möchte, sollte man kurz Bescheid geben, damit einem rechtzeitig aufgeschlossen wird. Alles in allem eine super Unterkunft, die wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen können!

המקום מנוהל על ידי משפחה מקסימה. דאגו לי לכל בקשה. המליצו על שירותים נהדרים - ספארי פילים שראיתי בו עדרי פילים ממרחק 2 מטרים. ספא אירוודה אוטנטי, ואפילו מניקור פדיקור מוצלח. דאגו לי להסעות לכל מקום, שירותי כביסה בישלו אוכל פנטסטי (אני לא אוכלת גלוטן סוכר והם בישלו לי בדיוק מה שביקשתי) והכל במחירים מאוד זולים. החדר גדול נקי המזגן טוב המים חמים והאינטרנט תקין. בריכה חמודה ומעל הכל הרגשה ביתית לבבית וחמה.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The owner and his team are lovely. It has a nice pool, great breakfast and the perfect location to explore the cultural triangle.

Tout était super ! Mention spéciale au cuisinier qui était adorable et qui cuisine vraiment bien, c’était vraiment très bon. Hôtel avec une ambiance familiale, le personnel est super sympa.

L’hôtel est situé un peu loin des accommodations mais c’est faisable en tuktuk.

The staff was extremely kind to us, they helped us with whatever we needed, and also in breakfast time. We needed to add an extra room and they had no problem with it. Room was very wide and beds were comfortable.

The bathroom was not very clean, and the toilets wouldn’t flush. The rest was nice and well set for us.

Дуже приємний персонал, робили все за для нашого комфорту. Сніданки - супер, подача, кількість та асортимент. Все свіже, фрукти чудові, роті теж. Кімната велика та комфортна, великий зручний балкон. Хозяєва дали джип з водієм на сафарі, ціна адекватна, все пройшло супер! Зробили ранню подачу сніданка, коли ми від'їзжали - все вчасно, смачно та й ще запакували з собою. Дякуємо їм за гостинність )

Басейн не виправдав очікування, невеликий, але може було прохолодно та він не виглядав таким, щоб хотілось плавати. Поряд трасса, гучно.

Hele fijne medewerkers. Ze verzorgde goed eten en stonden altijd voor je klaar. De locatie is goed te bereiken en je hoort niets van de grote weg waar het aan ligt.

Le patron nous a organisé des excursions et donne de supers conseils pour notre séjour. L’endroit est super bien situé, au calme et en même temps proche de tout. Je recommande les yeux fermés

Great food! The menu is impressive considering the size of the establishment. Fresh pool! Comfy bed.

It’s a simple set up hence calling it a resort is somewhat too bold. Please considering providing mosquito netting.

Breakfast was wonderful, well done! The hostes were very kind and helpful. The pool was clean and comfy. Garden was green and cosy.

Hooks in bathroom almost fell off. The walkways in the garden could have been cleaner and free of moss. Preatty slippery.

Everything. The food was amazing, the family are lovely and helped us organise our hikes and safari, it was a very relaxing stay for Christmas. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere a short distance away from Lions rock and Hurulu eco park.

Property was as seen in the pictures. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bedding was spotless. The management is extremely responsive and responds quickly both on messages or in-person. Bus stop is right outside the resort and you get buses to Dambulla Cave Temple, Kandy, or Colombo every 5-10 minutes. You may require a tuktuk to reach Pidurangala or Sigriya as bus connectivity on that route is a little less frequent. Check-in and check-out too were very smooth.

Some leakages from the above unit in the bathroom. Not too much and I reduced a star for it. The pillows were huge and the blankets were thin, but that's my individual preference and cannot blame the management for it. Also I did not ask for an extra blanket or thinner pillows.
