The manager was very attentive and wise. He gave us a lot of recommendations which exceeded our expectations. Both the room and the pool were beautiful, clean and peaceful. We left the resort very, very happy with our experience there, and also very happy to have gotten to know the amazing manager and his family.

The location, the build and the staff made our stay memorable

Foresta Resort was one of the most beautiful and relaxing stays of our Sri Lanka trip. The entire resort is surrounded by greenery, giving it a wonderfully peaceful and natural atmosphere. After spending hours on the road, coming back to this property felt like a proper escape into nature. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and extremely comfortable, and the resort itself has a lovely character. There is something very calming about waking up surrounded by so much greenery. The food was another highlight. We had some really memorable meals here, and the quality and flavours were excellent. But what truly made our stay special was the warm and exceptional hospitality of the host. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. Foresta is more than just a place to sleep while visiting Sigiriya — it feels like a proper resort experience. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful rooms, great food and genuinely warm hospitality. One of the stays we will remember from our Sri Lanka trip.

Facile d’accès en tuktuk. Restaurant, bon et copieux. Si vous avez la villa, prenez note que la cuisine n’est pas équipé pour cuisiner .

Everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, very spacious and beautiful - just like the Rest of the Hotel. Our host Sumeth was the kindest person we’ve ever met and we would recommend staying at the hotel to everyone.

The resort is very beautiful and very well maintained every day! We really appreciated the pool and the spacious rooms ! Sumith was a great host. He gave us so many helpful advice for the trips during the stay and even after. We had a perfect and relaxing time at Foresta Resort and would definitely recommend it :)

Breakfast could have had a little more variation. Or maybe an offer that you could choose from. But for the price it was absolutely fine.

Het is een prachtig, ruim opgezet terrein, met een mooie, groene, goed verzorgde tuin en een fijn zwembad. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, denkt goed mee en neemt de tijd voor een gesprek wat verder gaat dan de dagelijkse oppervlakte. Wij sliepen in twee verschillende verblijven. Beiden waren smaakvol ingericht en goed schoon. De locatie ligt midden in het groen, een eindje weg van de drukte van de stad. Als je op zoek bent naar een rustigere locatie is dit helemaal perfect! Het eten was ook erg goed.

Het erf oprijdend zag je direct hoe netjes, schoon en verzorgd alles was. De gastheer Semeth is een geweldige man; gastvrij, vriendelijk, behulpzaam. We verbleven in het familie huis wat heel mooi, schoon en comfortabel was. Ontbijt was goed en de curry die we savonds bestelde, was 💯. Alles is vers bereid en dat kon je proeven. Wij raden dit verblijf absoluut aan!

Nous avons passé 3 nuits au Foresta Resort. Tout était parfait ! Literie, confort, piscine, les repas copieux et bons... Pour l'emplacement, nous nous avons adoré, oui un peu à l'écart mais au cœur de la jungle : paon, écureuil, grenouille, varans... seront vos hôtes et mêmes des éléphants peuvent passer devant l'hôtel si vous avez de la chance ! Sumeth le gérant est d'une grande gentillesse et très attentionné, ainsi que tous les employés. Nous sommes partis à regret...

We absolutely loved our stay! It’s an incredibly beautiful hotel surrounded by nature, so peaceful! The staff is super sweet and helpful—they go above and beyond to assist with everything. The pool is excellent, the rooms are very clean, and the garden is extremely well-maintained. But my absolute favorite part was the breakfast... it was hands down the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka! The food in general is delicious. Highly recommended!"

We had an amazing stay! The room was beautiful, spotless and extremely clean. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. They gave us great travel advice, helped us arrange drivers and were always happy to assist with anything we needed. The food was absolutely phenomenal, the best traditional Sri Lankan food we had during our entire trip! Highly recommended if you are visiting this area. We would definitely stay here again!

Heel mooi hotel. Is prachtig gelegen in een grote tuin met een heerlijk zwembad. De kamers zijn heel fijn, ruim en luxe. Het hotel heeft maar een paar kamers, dus lekker rustig. Het hotel ligt wel wat verder van Lion Rock (20 minuten), maar dat is geen probleem. Eten in restaurant is erg lekker.

The hotel had a fantastic feel of being in the wild yet had all the functionality facilities of our luxury hotel. Lovely swimming pool great staff and an amazing breakfast enables you to try true authentic Sri Lankan food.

Un séjour d'exception ! Nous avons passé 5 nuits absolument parfaites dans cet établissement. L’équipe est incroyable, toujours souriante et aux petits soins. Un merci tout particulier au manager, Sumeth, qui nous a grandement conseillés pour organiser nos activités. ​Côté cuisine, la carte offre un large choix et les plats sont excellents, avec une mention spéciale pour la qualité du petit-déjeuner ! Le cadre est un véritable havre de paix : verdoyant, calme et reposant. Quel plaisir d'observer les écureuils et les paons se balader dans le magnifique jardin, juste à côté de la superbe piscine. Les chambres sont quant à elles spacieuses, propres, très bien équipées et décorées avec goût. ​En résumé, nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Sumeth war uns ein hervorragender Host, der uns mit kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten morgens und abends versorgt hat. Zudem hat er uns einen tollen Trip zum Nationalpark organisiert und uns bei weiteren Planungen mit wertvollen Kenntnissen unterstützt. Unsere Unterkunft war super schön mit geschmackvollem Interior. Den Pool hatten wir immer für uns. Alles in allem genau das, was wir gesucht haben. Klare Empfehlung!

Property is beautiful and very well maintained. It felt we are staying right in middle of jungle. Swimming pool was very clean. Manager was very nice he guided us with our itinerary. He even played bollywood songs while we were in pool on our request. Our friends even saw few peacocks early morning roaming in the property.

We had a great stay at foresta resort. The rooms were designed well and the entire resort was maintained well, the pool was our highlight, kids who are four feet will be able to stand in the adults pool until the slope, rest can stay in the kids pool

We made a last minute reservation at foresta resort, and honestly i don’t regret our detour at all, the rooms were clean and we had the cutest view from our room, its a bit off road but close enough to everything, the breakfast was delicious, you just got to love the nature vibes and tranquility. Foresta at Sigiriya is quite retreat amidst a miyawaki garden, very serene that you could hear a lot of bird sounds in the early morning and I enjoyed my yoga at the pool side, one can also see the sigiriya rock fort far away from the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Sumit and the his. The architecture design of the restaurant and reception is commendable with an open space into the nature.... very inviting. The breakfast was very sumptuous and freshly prepared. We could do a morning session day tour to Polonnaruwa and a sunset visit and hike to Sigiriya Rock fort though it was a bit hectic in one day. A special note that the gardener lady always greeted and smiled at everyone, at the same time she was happy doing her gardening!

The family room that we stayed was very spacious only a minor concern was that the shower head needed some attention as it made the entire bath room floor into a mess, also the water pressure in the health faucets were too high. The pre-shower area at the pool also need some daily attention. However these petty issues did not bother our stay much as I met the owner of the property during our stay ... they explained that the room is going for a renovation soon! Good Luck!

Sehr schöne große saubere Zimmer, super freundliches Personal und toller Pool. Es liegt etwas außerhalb, man kann aber per Pick-Me etc. gut jemanden finden der einen transportiert. Vor Ort gibt es einen Restaurant, in dem man Mittags wie abends zu ganz normalen Preisen gut essen kann :) Man wird den ein oder anderen Frosch oder Gekko in seinem Zimmer finden, aber das gehört bei so einer wunderschönen Lage dazu und ist auch nicht schlimm :)

Sameth made our stay comfortable, the food was good, the pool was lovely and it felt like an authentic experience to stay in the forest area in Sigiriya.

The bed was very hard to sleep on, very little water pressure for shower, barking dogs were a problem at night.

Es war das schönste Hotel auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise! Die Zimmer waren toll, die Anlage war sehr schön und gepflegt. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr lieb und hilfsbereit, wir haben uns immer gut unterhalten und uns wurde in jeder Lage geholfen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Beautifully-styled, spacious and comfortable room - obviously professionally designed to five-star standard. Very comfortable bed with crisp, white sheets. Liked the fact that a snug blanket was provided as air conditioning can be quite glacial. Pleasant seating area in lush, green setting; pool and separate restaurant. Friendly owner was on site for much of our stay and organised good-value laundry service for us.

Staff was really helpful and kind. Try to help us as much as he could. Swimming pool was clean and nice. Kids loved it. Food was nice too.

No information about the place in the room, such as wifi password, phone number for reception, breakfast time...etc. Staff responded well but I wish everything was there before we asked.

Warm welcome by every staff member of the Resort. Every day there was something that surprised us again and made us truly feel like we were on vacation. We really did feel like we were being taken care of starting from the cleanliness of the room to breakfasts and dinners where every request was fulfilled to our liking. Peaceful and quiet resort stay to really wind off and enjoy the stay with respectful staff and amazing cooks in the restaurant.

La camera era molto carina e spaziosa, anche il bagno con una bella doccia e la struttura immersa in una stupenda oasi verde. Ma la cosa migliore è stata la gentilezza dello staff, sempre disponibile e cordiale. Visto che eravamo gli unici ospiti ci hanno anche fatto l’upgrade della camera e ci hanno dato la camera deluxe. La colazione ottima e abbondante

Unico difetto la pulizia: abbiamo trovato dei capelli nelle lenzuola e purtroppo essendo immerso nella natura è capitato di trovare rane o insetti in bagno. Tuttavia sono cose che possono succedere, nulla di grave
