— The worst hotel experience of my life I travel regularly and I can usually be quite tolerant, but this experience was simply unacceptable. We booked this property through Booking.com. The listing stated that the accommodation had 4 double beds and 2 rooms, and the photos also showed a small sitting area with armchairs. We were 3 people and chose this option because there was no option available for a room for 3 people. After paying in cash at reception, we were taken to a room that was completely different from what was advertised: one double bed and one extra bed. We immediately pointed this out, but we were told that it was “the same”. We were then offered a meal as compensation, which we accepted. However, when we entered the room, things got even worse. There were insects everywhere — cockroaches, ants, lizards, spiders, mosquitoes, as well as a dead fly. It honestly felt more like being in a zoo than in a hotel room. There was no blanket provided for the extra bed, and despite trying to contact room service, nobody answered. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable — I could feel the springs through it. There were also only 2 cups for 3 people. We also experienced a power outage during our stay. But the worst part happened when we went to have the meal that had been offered as compensation. We were given a bill and asked to sign it. We asked whether the meal was already paid for, since it had been offered as compensation. We were told yes, and that we only needed to sign. We therefore signed and wrote “PAID” next to our signature. Then, suddenly, we were told that because we had contacted Booking.com to complain about the room, the compensation was no longer valid and we had to pay approximately $35 for the meal. When we refused, we were told that we would not be allowed to leave the hotel the following day and that the police would be called. We immediately contacted Booking.com and explained the situation. Booking.

Personnel was great and very kind! They are really there for you, breakfast was on time when we asked for a specific time (not sri lanka style haha). Via what's app they ask when they can have the room cleaned. They are looking out for you. Great service! We loved the breakfast! Dinner was oke, not great. A really nice swimmingpool to relax. Our kids loved it and so did we. Bathtowels at the pool are available to use. Clean rooms, which we find very important. It's a bit out of Sigirya town, fortunately we had our personal driver. Tuktuk is also a good option here. We would definitely recommend the Tepraas Sigiriya!!

We had a very pleasant stay! The rooms are very nice, the pool was perfect and we also enjoyed a lot the restaurant! We also had a laundry done! The host and his team are very helpful and friendly. Good base to do safari and Lions Rock and other attractions in the area! We can highly recommend the hotel and it’s team!

Nous sommes arrivés en famille avec deux véhicules et 2 chauffeurs. Nous avons demandés si il disposait des chambres pour eux. Le gérant a voulu nous escroquer en Nous fesant payer. Mais notre chauffeur qui est également guide et qui a l'habitude d'emmener des touristes nous a interdit de payer des suppléments car les hôtels mettent a disposition gratuitement des chambres pour les chauffeurs qui accompagnent les touristes.

Le gérant de l'hôtel est très désagréable. Pour chaque demande il fallait payer un supplément. Il voit que par l'argent et soutirer l'argent aux touristes. Heureusement que nous avons séjourné qu'une seule nuit. De plus les chambres étaient sales. A besoin d'une grosse rénovation. Nous avons demandés des petits déjeuner a emporter car nous devions partir tôt pour monter le rocher du Lion. Nous avons eu des sandwich beurre fromage et une rondelles d'ananas. Pas de jus rien. A notre retour a l'hôtel après avoir fait la randonnée nous avons demandé gentiment si nous pouvions avoir au moins un café car vu le prix du petit déjeuner que nous avons payé nous avons au moins droit à un café. C'est l'une des pire expérience que nous avons eu. Je ne recommande pas du tout. Piscine pas du tout entretenue.

Location was perfect for our trek to the top of the lion rock , pool was perfect for a nice cool off at the end of the day . The restaurant was amazing and the food was great . Would stay again . 🇦🇺

Las instalaciones no me gustaron nada. Se suponía que había sala de estar y no había ni un sofá para sentarse. Las fotos no correspondían con la realidad. Éramos 5 y solo había sillas y tazas para 4..

The food was excellent, and the location was peaceful and relaxing. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. Overall, it offered great value for the money and was definitely worth it.

Ons verblijf was geweldig. Gezellige kamer en een goede douche! De gastvrijheid van het personeel geeft je een gevoel dat je thuis bent. De manager Ranjith is altijd aanwezig en kijkt naar de gasten om, je kan alles aan hem vragen, altijd bereidt te helpen. In het restaurant staan Chanaka en Krishna klaar om met veel zorg en aandacht het eten te verzorgen. Ook was al het personeel heel zorgzaam voor onze dochter van 2. Ook de dames van de receptie en het kamerpersoneel waren hierin geen uitzondering. Het verblijf in tepraas sigiriya is wat ons betreft een echte aanrader. Prachtige, rustige, schaduwrijke omgeving, met een heerlijk zwembad. Perfect voor ons kleintje, inclusief trampoline en schommels! We hebben genoten! Ook was al het personeel zeer zorgzaam en playful met onze peuter.

I wish there were more options in breakfast but the staff in the restaurant is very helpful. Sound isolation between the floors can be improved.

Es war eine sehr schöne Anlage mit schönen Pool. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei jeder Anfrage geholfen. Die Mitarbeiter sind mir sehr ans Herz gewachsen

We stayed at Tepraas Sigiriya for 2 days and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Everything from the ambiance to the service was perfect. Gute Auswahl an Essen. Hatten erst ein Zimmer hinten raus, haben dann aber nochmal nachgefragt, weil in der Buchung mit Poolblick stand und haben dann glücklicher Weise ein anderes bekommen. Sehr schöner Hof mit toller Pflanzenpracht. Schöner Pool (aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen) . Gelände ist eingezäunt und es gibt einen Sicherheitsmann.

The hotel is set in beautiful, green surroundings — perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The staff were absolutely lovely, always smiling and ready to help — especially Kushna, who was truly wonderful and made our stay even better.

The rooms are a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Most importantly, improving the cleanliness would make a huge difference. That said, the price was very reasonable, so overall it felt fair for what we paid.

Het personeel, zo ontzettend gastvrij, behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het complex is geheel omhekt, het zwembad verhoogd wat heel prettig is met kleine kinderen. De schommel en ook de trampoline zijn goed onderhouden en een groot succes prima kamers, de douche is goed heet.

Lovely lush surroundings, spacious room with air conditioning and two great pools. Staff were excellent, always available, always looking to help and available to book tours and transfers through.

The location is a bit far from the main town, so you do need a transport to get around. We traveled with a driver and we didn’t have any trouble. The staff were all friendly.

The whole room and bathroom always smelled moldy. It would have been nice if the clean fresh towels were provided each day.

Brud,pleśń i grzyb w pokoju. Jak przyjechaliśmy nasza pościel była ułożona jak nowa,ale była już używana.Były na niej ślady świeżej krwi i włosy!obrzydliwe! Do tego bardzo brudne ściany i dywanik przed łóżkiem.W basenie nie widać nawet swoich stóp,woda jest tak siwa.W miejscu gdzie odbywają się śniadania brudne stoły,podkładki do jedzenia. Nie polecam nikomu tego miejsca.

Felix and the rest of the staff at Teprass were very attentive and they made sure that we fitted as much in to the visit as possible. The location is good as we reached the two significant sites of Dumballa Caves and Lion Rock in Sigiriya by the hotel tuck tucks which was a real bonus. The hotel itself is small, comfortable and the food from the restaurant was far superior than anything locally.

It is full of charm, excellent facilities and the nicest staff - Felix the general manager is simply the most helpful and proactive manager I’ve ever come across. There’s nothing he can’t sort out, and he’s made our trip so memorable - he’s even helping us after we’ve left!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Perfect online communication. We only stayed one night, it’s a very calm place.

Het was echt een hele fijne plek!! Rustig, weinig huisjes, lief personeel, een schommel en trampoline en groot zwembad. Ondanks de minpunten was het echt fijn. We zijn er vier nachten geweest en vanuit hier allemaal uitstapjes gemaakt.

Wij zaten in de familiekamer, deze voelde wat oud door de vloerbedekking op de vloer. Daarnaast zijn er veel muggen, we misten echt klamboes. Ook al hielden we de deuren dicht, we zijn goed gebeten. Het zwembad is niet verwarmd (is vaker zo in Sri Lanka) maar in dec was het best fris.

Okolica obiektu mimo że znajdował się niedaleko głównej drogi była cicha i spokojna. Bardzo miły i serdeczny personel :) Pokoje czyste choć nad naszym prysznicem była siatka, przez co ja była ulewa to trochę wlatywało wody do łazienki od góry.

Room is okay. they provide big bottle of water. coffee and tea bags. the pool view is nice though we didn't have the chance to try it We paid 38 dollars for a night which I guess is okay for what we got as a room

The location is far away from the rock ( almost 15 mins from the rock) The shower has cold water the towels were not clean we have one glass broken and they charged us 350 LKR - I think it is fair we should pay for what we broke but in general it wasn't very much pleasant stay

We booked the property very late at night, around 11 pm, and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly and smoothly everything was handled. When we called the reception, they immediately assisted us, and within just 10 minutes we were in our room. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and had plenty of space to relax after a long vacation because we returned from N-Eliya. The manager and staff truly stood out during our stay. they were extremely helpful, attentive, and always ready to accommodate our requests. Everything we needed was arranged quickly and without any hassle, which made our experience stress free and enjoyable. The in villa dining option was a great highlight. The food was fresh, clean, and delicious, and it made our stay feel even more special. We highly recommend trying it if you want to enjoy a private, relaxing meal. If you are visiting Sigiriya this is the place coz from here you can go Minneriya National park ( you must go if you love wildlife specially elephants) and they have village life experience. Overall, the combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms, and the warm hospitality of the staff made our stay memorable. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place that values guest comfort, provides quick and efficient service, and offers a truly welcoming atmosphere. Whether you arrive late at night or during the day, you can count on the team here to make your stay smooth and enjoyable.

Hotel zrobił na mnie bardzo dobre wrażenie. Pokoje były wyjątkowo czyste, łóżko wygodne, a udogodnienia na wysokim poziomie. Dużym plusem jest przestronny basen, idealny do relaksu. Obsługa była przyjazna i szybko reagowała na wszelkie zgłoszenia, a okolica spokojna i sprzyjająca wypoczynkowi – dodatkowo do sklepu można dojść pieszo w zaledwie 5 minut. Cena za pobyt była naprawdę atrakcyjna w porównaniu do oferowanych udogodnień.

Jeśli chodzi o minusy – dość trudno było złapać taksówkę lub tuk-tuka w okolicy, co czasami utrudniało przemieszczanie się. Śniadania były smaczne, ale mało zróżnicowane – przez 6 dni podawano to samo menu. Zdarzyła się też nieprzyjemna sytuacja z próbą wyłudzenia pieniędzy przez kelnera, jednak po zgłoszeniu tego obsłudze, problem został natychmiast i profesjonalnie rozwiązany.

Excellent staff, they were very attentive, thoughtful, friendly, and professional. Lovely quiet location. 15 mins from busy backpacker areas, and it's cheap to get about in tuktuks. The food was really good. The room was huge, clean, and well equipped. Super pool. Excellent all-around resort. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Wunderbare Gastfreundschaft – vom Flughafentransfer über Tuk-Tuk nach Sigiriya bis hin zur Safari war alles perfekt organisiert. Sehr gutes Essen, schöne Anlage und ideale Lage für Ausflüge nach Sigiriya oder in den Minneriya-Nationalpark. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Alles war wunderbar. Nur ein Hinweis: Inmitten der Natur kann es durch Affen und andere Tiere auch mal lauter werden.

Es war eine gemütliche, sehr schöne Unterkunft. Das Zimmer war geräumig. Das Frühstück war lecker. Abends wurde frisch gekocht. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich.

Todo: las habitaciones cómodas recién renovadas . Servicio de limpieza y comunicación constante con el personal. Piscina cómoda y restaurante.

El hotel no está en el pueblo de sigiriya aunque lo Diga su nombre. Me quedé con las ganas de visitar el pueblo porque parecía animado. Pero es cierto que en esta ciudad hay muchas visitas turísticas y un poco de paz y descanso no vinieron mal

La atención tan personalizada del gerente, desde muchos días antes de ir se ponen en contacto contigo y te facilitan el transporte desde el aeropuerto y al siguiente destino. Te ayudan con el plan o te sugieren ideas, proponen ayudarte a comprar tickets de tren, y tienen servicio de coche y de Tuk Tuk. También te cambian dinero si les avisas con tiempo, por lo que no nos hizo falta cambiar en el aeropuerto. El personal del hotel en general era extremadamente amable y el entorno muy cuidado y acogedor. Muy buena ubicación, se puede ir a los safaris y a los destinos emblemáticos desde el hotel.

Heel mooi en leuk boetiekhotel. Personeel doet er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken, niets is teveel. Wij hebben een jong kindje en hier waren ze super kindvriendelijk. Ook leuk dat er een schommel en een trampoline was. Leuk zwembad, lekker (en betaalbaar) eten. Wij boekten ook een safari via het hotel, was goed geregeld. Alles was heel proper, iedereen doet erg zijn best om de gasten een goeie tijd te laten hebben.

Het enige minpuntje is dat de kamers inderdaad wel wat gehorig zijn. Je hoort de buren, maar vooral alles wat op het dak valt/loopt en omgevingsgeluiden (bakker bijvoorbeeld). Wij stoorden ons hier niet erg aan, we hebben goed geslapen.

Veramente un bel posto, il personale è estremamente gentile e disponibile. La piscina offre un bel momento di relax, il consiglio che abbiamo dato ai gestori è quello di aggiungere qualche lettino in più a bordo vasca. È ad una ventina di minuti di auto da lion rock. Lo consigliamo!

Staff do restaurante era bastante simpático, estivemos a conversar bastante tempo, aprendemos algumas palavras, foi muito bom. a piscina era agradável e o quarto era confortável. Nós queriamos sobretudo um local bom para ir às atracções de Sigyria. Nesse aspecto serviu bem.

Criaram imensos problemas ao nosso motorista, recusaram dar-lhe quarto (é suposto os hotéis alojarem os motoristas). Na primeira noite arranjaram uns arrumos onde ele ficar. No final cobraram-nos pela estadia dele e depois viemos a saber que ele na verdade não ficou lá, teve que alugar outro local de alojamento. Desonesto e desagradável. A meia-pensão tinha opções limitadas de comida.

Het complex ziet er mooi uit met een fijn zwembad. De kinderen vonden het leuk om bij de schommel en trampoline te spelen. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Er is een goed kaart bij het restaurant. Via het hotel hebben ze ook een fijne safari voor ons geregeld.

Het is gehorig. Als je onder slaapt kan je last hebben van de mensen boven je.

A beautiful garden setting, accommodation located centrally to the area’s attractions. Our apartment was located upstairs (steep stairs warning for those who may struggle) - it was basic but comfortable. What I like to call ‘cheap & cheerful’. The staff were exceptional.

We had some minor issues with our room…but they were resolved promptly.

We had a great time at Tepraas. The kids enjoyed playing in the leafy garden on the trampoline, swings and badminton and the pool was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful and arranged transport and trips for us at very reasonable prices - including an elephant safari. The food was great, the room was clean and the hotel was excellent value. We also really appreciated the environmental efforts, such as providing guests with filtered water each day to reduce plastic bottles.

Dès notre arrivée nous nous sommes sentis très bien accueilli. Le personnel est très attentif et réactif face a nos besoins. La personne de la réception était très gentille et nous a vraiment beaucoup aidé dans notre séjour. Un transport en tuk-tuk peut être mis à votre disposition avec un super chauffeur !! L’endroit est calme et dispose d’une grande piscine. Les chambres sont conformes aux photos et très propres.

Vous ne pouvez vous rendre à pieds dans le centre de Sigirya.

Świetna i bardzo miła obsługa! Miła atmosfera, basen dobrze przygotowany. W hotelu obecna restauracja, gdzie można zjeść do 21. Śniadanie świetne - połączenie lokalnych smaków z uniwersalnymi daniami. Obiekt otoczony płotem, więc można czuć się bezpiecznie. Dobry standard higieniczny, wysoki standard pokojów.

Nous étions au rez de chaussée (simplement 1 chambre au dessus) et nous entendions tous les pas des personnes du dessus (même si les gens n'étaient pas bruyant, le simple fait de marcher faisait vraiment beaucoup de bruit dans notre chambre), ce qui nous réveillait systématiquement lorsque les gens partaient à Lion Rock pour le levé du soleil. De plus, il y avait beaucoup de jour sur la porte d'entrée, ce qui laissait rentrer tous les jours les fumées du champ voisin.

De ligging buiten het centrum heeft voor en nadelen. Het is er erg rustig, maar je stapt niet zomaar buiten om naar bv.: een ander restaurant te gaan.
