Location and the beach was amazing and staff were very friendly helpful but some time lacked the clear communication easing to confusion it would be great to have some helmet staff who can clearly communicate without confusion over all it was an great place but if improved by the senior management it will be stunning place to enjoy a lovely weekend out of the buzzing Colombo city

Yes it was great place with ample space to move around well planned and spacious well spaced with plenty of space to enjoy the break clean rooms and location beach was amazing but may not be safe fora swim

VERY CALM AND QUIET. GOOD FOOD . CLEAN AND GOOD POOL. GOOD SETTING.

THE SECOND POOL WHICH HAD A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING VERY LOUD CELEBRATIONS. DISTURBING TO THE GUESTS WHO NEED TO RELAX.

Most restaurants were closed when we were staying due an event and we were not warned when making a booking.

The food variety at breakfast could be improved to offer more choices. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if an extended check-out option had been accommodated, as this was not available during my stay.

We had a great breakfast at the restaurant! The staff at the restaurant were very friendly, polite and pleasant! Chef Jayantha made us some super delicious Thosai! The room service at the sixth floor was fantastic- very neat and tidy! The bell staff , security services and the receptionists were very helpful and friendly!

The condensation of the room was a bit irritating. They could provide more varieties of tropical fruit at the restaurant.

Breakfast is good but the fruit section could have more choices. Hopper and omelette station are good.

The best part of our stay, as always, was the breathtaking sea view from the room. It is incredibly relaxing. Every room faces the ocean, which makes the stay even more special. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a better room on one of the top floors, which made our experience even better. The staff were very pleasant, friendly, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. We also received a special discount as we booked through Booking.com. However, we were informed that this discount is applicable only for dining in the restaurant and not for in-room dining, so it’s good to confirm such details with the staff when checking in to avoid any confusion. The food was good overall, and we especially appreciated that the kitchen listened to our previous feedback. During an earlier visit, the Hot Butter Cuttlefish was a little undercooked for our preference. This time, we mentioned it to the staff, and they were kind enough to prepare it exactly the way we liked. We really appreciated their willingness to accommodate our request.

The only area that could be improved is the à la carte menu. While the food quality is good, the menu offers only a limited selection of dishes. It would be great to see more variety, such as noodles, spaghetti carbonara, kottu, and other popular options, to give guests more choices during their stay.

Pięknie położony hotel przy plaży, posiada kilka basenów , piękny ogród. Wspaniałe śniadanie i kolacja , różne kuchnie , każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie . Wieczorem muzyka na żywo . Przemiła obsługa. W pokoju jest elektryczny czajnik, herbata i woda butelkowa . Dobre , spokojne miejsce na wypoczynek rodziny z dziećmi .

Nice seafood. Pleasant pool. Nice bit of coastline. Quiet.

Loved the veiw from the balcony, the sound of ocean. Room was spacious and clean, staff were polite. Food was good and versatile, halal, vegan and other options were available.

Very nice hotel with a nice pool. Breakfast was superb. Location was good.

We booked a Cabana room with a large bed since our kid also travelled with us. But they gave us a room (not a cabana, it is fine) with two single beds. Then we rejected it, and they checked again for a room with a double bed. When I asked about my booking, they said all the Cabana rooms are full, and they only have the rooms with two single beds. How can it happen? Finally, they gave us another room with a large double bed. When we checked in, it was around 4.30 PM after all these dramas. But they didn't allowed us a late check-out though it was their fault.

A beautiful hotel, just as we expected, the rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly, thank you to Gagana as a receptionist to guied us very well.

I liked everything about the hotel, the room was comfortable and clean with a stunning view of the ocean. The stuff were so kind and hardworkers, they treat us with respect.

Buffet prices were not value for money

We had an amazing stay at Turyaa Kalutara during our holiday from Australia. We travelled with our toddler and my parents, and the whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The rooms were very clean, the service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband is Australian and he loved every bit of the food as well. A special thank you to restaurant manager Duminda, hostess Imasha, and receptionist Shakila for their outstanding hospitality. They always made sure our baby had everything needed and constantly checked on us throughout our stay, which made us feel very cared for and welcomed. The hotel also has a great accessible beach area, perfect for families. Highly recommended, and we will definitely come back again!

I wish the games room were bit closer and could have been on ground floor, everything else was good

Brilliant Spot, clean rooms, amazing views

Breakfast lacked western variety and the dinner options weren’t as good as we had experienced locally. Staff seemed untrained and unmotivated across the board

Bed is ok but pillows are little bit floppy so when I was sleepy its little bit tuff for me. also dinner buffet had little verities so on my stay its not value for money.

The pool area was excellent, the food had a good variety and quality, and the entertainment kept the stay enjoyable. The location is also very convenient and relaxing.

We selected a cabana room, but it felt quite old-fashioned and not up to modern standards. The balcony was not properly cleaned, and there was bird droppings when we arrived. Also, towels were not readily available in the room and had to be requested, which was inconvenient.

Didn’t replenish my room each day/ had the same towels for 5 days. Friends requested new towels and they had to ask around 4-5 times before they came. Staff had removed the dirty towels but not replaced. Had to get my own pool towel from the cupboard - no staff there to help

During our trip to the South we decided for a stay in Kalutara. We only wanted to book one night, however, after seeing the place we booked an extra night so we could enjoy the day at the hotel. And this was a very good decision! With the super attentive service and kindness of Mister Duminda, Miss Nimesha from the restaurant and Miss Shakila from the front desk we had such a lovely time at Turyaa hotel. All the extra attention while being pregnant is very much appreciated. I even got advise on what foods to eat and not, which means a lot while being pregnant and abroad! The room was spacious with an amazing view and a very good shower. We also enjoyed the pool and the food very much and are actually sad to leave today! But our journey to the South will continue. To all the staff at Turyaa who we met in the past 48 hours: thank you for everything. You were kind and we hope to see you again in the future! Kind regards, S & T

I recently stayed at Turyaa Kalutara from 23rd to 25th March 2026, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The rooms are spacious, well-designed, and exceptionally clean. The bathrooms feel modern, with new fittings and quality amenities that add to the overall comfort. Hygiene standards inside the rooms were outstanding, which made the stay very relaxing. We opted for the full board option, and the three-meal buffet was impressive. There was a wide variety of both Sri Lankan and European dishes, catering to different tastes and prepared to a high standard. One of the highlights of the stay was the staff. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and responsive, always ready to assist with a smile. Their service really enhanced the overall experience. The pool facilities are excellent, with two large pools and attentive poolside service. The water remains pleasantly warm even in the evening, making it a joy to swim at any time of day. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained. The garden is clean, well-organised, and adds a peaceful atmosphere to the property. In the evenings, the live music and cultural shows are particularly engaging, offering a meaningful glimpse into Sri Lankan culture and history. This is a great destination for families, especially those travelling with children, as the environment is both welcoming and enjoyable for all age groups. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. All facilities are well-maintained and fully functional, and the open architectural design with high ceilings gives a sense of space and elegance. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and culturally enriching stay.

Chef Balbir Singh and Chef Jaynekar are really understanding and arranged Vegetarian food for us. We need more people like them in your Resort.

1. Overall the laid back approach in staff attitudes isn’t appreciated at all. 2. Untrained housekeeping staff is a big set back and that caused us problems. 3. Please work on training your staff well. 4. Language is a big issue among your staff, they should be able to understand basic English. We always had to tell them in sign language.
