Loved this place! Located right in the heart of the city, 2 min from Chitwan National Park. Clean pool, nice rooms, friendly staff. Perfect for families and couples.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riverside with Swimming Pool and would happily give it 10/10. The location is one of the best things about this hotel—very convenient and close to everything, while also offering a beautiful view for enjoying the sunset. The swimming pool was clean and enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good variety of food and everything served fresh. The staff provided exceptional service throughout my stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Because of the recent flash floods, there were fewer guests, and I was fortunate to get a very good rate. The price was surprisingly affordable for the quality of the hotel and service provided. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and felt that I received excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend Hotel Riverside with Swimming Pool to anyone visiting the area, and I would be happy to stay here again.

Great place ! Its perfekt place to explore safari , jungle , cano walk etc. They have a pool and a big beautiful garden . ! Soooo pretty and you can se the river from the hotell . Its right to the jungle . Helpfull staff to arrange rotes and tours. They alsow book buss ticket to dumre and fix pick up ! So Helpfull and Kind personal . Thanks

Le cadre général de l'hôtel, au calme, autour d'une piscine et de beaucoup d'endroits aménagés pour se reposer après une journée d*excursion. Les chambres sont spacieuses et dotées d'une terrasse.

Attention aux facturations. Nous avons réservé 2 journées d'excursion privées par le biais de l'hôtel. Rien à dire, les prestations étaient de qualité, mais avec le recul, nous n'avons rien comparé, et je pense que nous avons payé vraiment cher. Nous avons demandé à l'hôtel de nous réserver le bus de retour vers Katmandou, et ils nous facturaient 20 USD par personne. Après discussion, nous avons refusé et demandé de payer directement dans le bus... Ça nous est revenu à 8 USD par personne ! Cerise sur le gâteau, quand nous avons voulu régler la facture par carte Visa, ils nous réclamaient 5% de commission ! L'organisation est par ailleurs très erratique : toujours à la recherche de la clé de chambre, petit déjeuner toujours identique et jamais vraiment prêt à l'heure.

Everything was very good. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The pool was extremely clean and the water temperature was perfect. Highly reccomend staying here! We spent three nights relaxing here before continuing our journey by motorbike through Nepal and it was the best. You are in the town so you can walk anywhere for food or drinks. The river is right by the property and there are sometimes rhino sightings! It really is amazing

The hot water is not very consistent but you can just let the staff know and they will fix it!

Location is excellent. Right in the heart of the action and ideal for early morning excursions into the National Park, as the hotel is very close to the boat crossing point. We left a few days before breakfast but we were given food to take with us. We opted for delicious museli and were given a bag of curd which I kept cold in a cool bag. Very filling and delicious. Fruit given too. There were other options. The view from B3 was excellent. View over garden to the river. A rhino wandered into the garden one day. It is a regular occurrence! Swimming pool was kept very clean. Staff were first class. Surose(?) was particularly helpful and chatty. The lady on reception (sorry don't know her name) was very efficient and helpful too.

Utsikten över floden från balkongen där noshörningar ofta kommer nära och betar. Man är nära natur och djur. Det är vad det handlar om här i Chitwan, upplevelsen av naturen. Fin personal där Suraj stod ut i restaurangen med sitt glada leende och alltid villig att hjälpa. En bra vecka med lugn o ro o möten med djur som noshörningar, vild elefant i många krokodiler. Sen är det underbart att sitta vid floden o se solnedgången.

Ingen pool då den höll på att repareras. Men det var ändå för kallt att bada. Duschen är det väldigt lågt tryck på så det kommer inte många strålar men det fanns varmvatten om man lät det rinna länge.

I really liked the breakfast it had a good variety and was fresh. The location was excellent, right by the Rapti River and very close to Chitwan National Park, making it easy to explore the area.

The location was great! Loved getting to see the river and the outside areas of the location were beautiful. The check in process was smooth and the front office staff was helpful

The rooms were in bad shape. The floor was ripped up in many places and the heaters and hot were were not working in both rooms we booked. The manager also threatened to call the police when we tried to check out and leave early. He said he would call the police if we left a bad review because we would be "blackmailing". This is actually illegal in Nepal and I was shocked by his poor behaviour.

For an additional fee, my room was upgraded to a room with a river view. Overall, the room was good. Staff was responsive. Breakfast was good. I saw a rhinoceros from the hotel grounds, which an employee kindly showed me.

The hotel is located further away from the river, but you can see it from the window. The view of the river and the sunset is blocked by the building with the blue roof that is under construction in the photo. I didn't use the swimming pool because the water is too cold.

The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the river and has well maintained gardens and swimming pool. It is only a minute walk to the sunset point and entrance to the park. I found my room comfortable with a lovely view. There was plenty to eat for breakfast and staff serving breakfast were courteous and efficient. Reception staff were helpful in booking my bus ticket and they dropped me off at the bus station. I had a relaxing stay, thank you.

every thing was better than what i thought....

The staff was very friendly, they organised my canoe safari, jeep safari twice, help me with the laundry and facilitate my bus ticket. Very lovely!! The hotel is super central but quite and room was clean and silent.

The toilet had a bad smell.

The location of the hotel was very convenient – close to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. It made getting around the city easy and stress-free. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The bed was quite comfortable, and I appreciated the air conditioning, especially during hot days. The River and Park View from the Hotel is phenomenal.

Temperature of hot water

We chose this hotel because of the AC in the rooms, which was definitely a life-saver in this humid area. We were upgraded to a better room because of off-season and some construction that was going on. Some of the staff members were really friendly and helpful and we could add one more night for the same discounted price. They made us packed breakfast because we had to leave early. The pool was nice. The location is good.

The shower area was on the same level as the toilet so that the floor around the toilet remained wet for a long time. Also on the second night, we had some bugs in the room, which wasn't that pleasant but partly understandable with the location being on the riverside in such a humid area.

Enjoyed the stay, staff is attentive. They pick me up at the bus station and the pool is chill.

Breakfast and service

I like how we get complimentary pick up and drop from the tourist bus stop. Lifts off unnecessary thinking for transport in the area, I so appreciate it. The place is in the main road and 2 minutes walk to the river and safari tour point. The room is huge, woody and with log design that adds up to the cabin feels in the wild. It has a good balcony where you can enjoy a lovely view of the sunset by the river which is also perfect for slow morning and late night talks. They have nice pool and huge breakfast with a garden view. But what stood out is how the staff is very pleasant and friendly. They sure made a good impression on how welcoming they are on their guests.

We stayed on one of their older property which needs improvement on facilities but they have newer rooms which are available if you prefer. Some power interruptions in mid evening maybe 5-10 mins given the area is rural part of Nepal.

A long delay after ordering food in the evening was frustrating but everyone can have difficult days. The staff were helpful

Pros: Beautiful location, clean rooms, lovely and clean pool and very friendly staff.

Cons: They support elephant riding and unethical elephant activities. We did not know this until we booked and arrived. We were very disappointed to see this. Elephants are chained up all day until they are forced to give tourists rides. They are constantly abused.

My stay was too short

The swimming pool made our stay perfect as the weather was too hot. The staff were very useful, there was a problem with the hot water shower and they didn't hesitate to upgrade our room. Breakfast was fantastic compared to other hotels'. The location was perfect, just next to the park safari gate and by the river. The sunset from the river side of the hotel was superb. All excellent, we really liked this hotel!

This hotel really was so much better than we expected. Staff were all very friendly, well-trained, and super helpful. They recommended and arranged all our safari activities too so our trip was completely stress-free. The location also blew our expectations as it was way better than what we saw in the pictures. It's located at a pretty quiet area with lots of little places in the hotel where you can sit back and relax. I really liked that you can walk all the way to the river from inside the hotel area.

This is common especially in tourist areas, but there is a mark up on tours and transfers if you book through the hotel, if you're budget savvy shop around, if you don't mind paying a small amount more then the hotel was excellent at organising

The staff is very nice, everybody cares that you feel good. The food eas very good. Location. Is perfect. The pictures are not so good, in real the hotel is much better. Best hotel we had in nepal. The pool is amazing, with very comfortable chairs/lounger. Pool is big and clean and with the 40 degrees we had very necessary. Directly on the river and close to the city. Would definitely come back there.

The shower in the room didn't work very well and it could have been a bit cleaner. But since the rest was so much better than expected we didn't care. If you ask, they offer to drop you off at the bus station - we found out too late but now we know;)

The pool was nice, since it was pretty hot when we were there, but the pool is not heated so be prepared for a cold dip. The grounds were really well maintained, lots of gardens and trees. A rhino wandered through the hotel grounds at dawn one morning we were there (both amazing and terrifying). The staff was very helpful and made sure our excursions were booked and our transportation was sorted out.

The bathroom was functional but could use some updating, and the screens on the windows had some holes that let mosquitoes in to our room. (There is air conditioning, so you could just leave the windows closed and be just fine, but my husband and I prefer fresh air at night so this was a detractor for us.)

Some overtime stay was definitely allowed to us post our check out time to relax, post the safari.

Pathetic AC, even after bringing this to the attention of the hotel staff, no action was taken. No telephones in the room every time had to move down to the reception for any requirements, there was no staff at the reception after 11pm.
