Made even more enjoyable thanks to John on reception.......So professional, we were allowed to book in early, provided with a lovely room on the third floor, given local information, he was happy to book a taxi for us and ascertain the cost so we able to complete a walk. Nothing was too much trouble... service with a smile (Thank you John). Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices....beverages, cereals, yoghurt, bread, hams & cheese, tomatoes, fresh fruit and cakes to choose from.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Principalmente da localização fantástica. O hotel em si é antigo, ouve-se um pouco de barulho mas nada de mais. Estão aos poucos a melhorar. O pequeno almoço tem pouca variedade, poderia ter mais alguma coisa, principalmente para as crianças, não tinha praticamente nada, é bom, mas pouca escolha e sempre a mesma coisa todos os dias.
Nada a apontar, só melhorar uns pormenores mas para o preço, não estava mal.

Tanto a decoração como a estrutura do hotel parece ter parado um pouco no tempo A casa de banho tinha bolor no teto e o chuveiro era antigo com uma cortina O colchão era muito duro e o isolamento do quarto era mau (tanto se ouvia barulho na rua toda a madrugada como dos outros hóspedes nos quartos adjacentes e corredores). Por isso, não considero um hotel propriamente bom para se descansar

Der Preis erschien uns zu hoch (ca. 190€/ Nacht) für einen in die Jahre gekommenen Bau, auch wenn dies vielleicht dem Üblichen in diesem Dorf entsprach. Bei früherer Buchung vllt. günstiger?

Everything is ready for an update. Very dated in rooms and public areas. No plug sockets near the bed and a total of two making charging devices difficult. Shower was warm not hot. Some rusty old bathroom scales which would be better just getting rid of. Two mismatched chairs stacked in the room for balcony use. Limited space for toiletries in shower and at basin. Had to wait for a table to be cleared at breakfast, then had to wait for cutlery to be washed and replenished. Pillows were old and flat bed was hard. Expected more for the price.

There was no hot water several times. Also there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. The bathrooms also are really Dated. And the wifi wasnt working. I had asked for a quiet room and they put me Directly opposite the door to the stairwell Which other guests kept on baging loudly (not just their fault as the door was just really loud). All good if this was a Hostel and not that incredible expensive because of August.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Fuimos 9 días mi pareja y mi hija de 2 años y medio; para nosotros fue nuestro alojamiento base y de ahí nos movimos por Costa Vicentina, Alentejo y Algarve, el alojamiento está muy bien ubicado. Superó completamente nuestras expectativas. Para empezar la dueña del hotel Caterina estuvo muy pendiente de que estuviésemos cómodos, y cada día tenía un detalle y cariño con nuestra hija. Todos los empleados/as nos proporcionaron todo lo que necesitamos para la niña y para nosotros (cambio de almohada, más perchas, utilizar la nevera...) y fueron siempre muy dispuestos y amables. La limpieza de 10. El desayuno increíble, mucha fruta variada, zumos, diversidad de panes (también había sin gluten), cereales, leche sin lactosa, buen aceite. Nos sorprendió Salema un pueblo de pescadores, con playa de agua cristalina perfecta para niños/as y adultos. Tiene muy buenos restaurantes y variados, hay ambiente, pero nada masificado, ni ruidoso o agobiante. Tuvimos mucha suerte de poder asistir a un concierto de Fado en un entorno muy muy íntimo. Hemos descansado.

Habitaciones muy viejas (aunque los baños están reformados) y olor muy feo en todos los pasillos. La terraza de la habitación tiene la máquina de A/A justo ahí, un par de plantas y estaban llenas de un polvo blanco que parecía veneno de pájaros o de hormigas...

Não achei o travesseiro confortável, era muito alto e isso acabou por prejudicar minha experiência de sono durante as noites que dormi ali.

Velmi příjemný personál hotelu. Dole v hotelu k dispozici bar. V okolí dostatek restaurací. Celkově jde o menší klidnější lokalitu.

Vom kleinen Balkon aus gibt es Meeresblick. In der Nähe gibt es gute Restaurants und einige kleine Bars. Die hauseigene Bar ist auch empfehlenswert. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Hotel und in unmittelbarer Nähe ausreichend vorhanden.

There is a nice bar attached to the lobby. The hotel is perfectly located to restaurants at the heart of the town. The air conditioning worked well.
All the rooms were the same size and a bit cramped for two people with two large suitcases.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Prima Lage, schöne Aussicht, sauber, freundlich, gutes Frühstück. Ausstattung nicht ganz modern, besonders das Bad, aber in Ordnung und funktionstüchtig. Ich habe mich dort wohlgefühlt.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Just loved Salema Beach Hotel from the generous welcome to comfortable room to conviviality in the bar meeting repeat holidaymakers to the area that had become part of the family! You won’t go hungry after indulging in the hearty breakfast spread! Would highly recommend a stay!
Couldn’t fault anything though being a tea drinker would have loved some compules of milk to be left in the fridge. Not a criticism as not seen that anywhere but Lisbon!

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026The hotel is a little older and dated but perfectly clean and bright. Reception was easy people were smiling, great place. It is right in the village centre 30 metres from the beach and many restaurants. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. The morning breakfast was great and something for everyone. We definitely would stsy hete again.

Sehr veraltete Einrichtung. Nur eine Steckdose im Zimmer. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und alt ( Armaturen)
