Great location - both central and quiet. Very clean with nice and supportive staff. Worth the price!

My experience with this hotel was terrible. After booking, I was informed that they did not have a room for four people, even though my booking had been accepted. Furthermore, I did not receive a satisfactory response to my emails.

I didn’t like the fact that the company offers airport pick up. I booked for my wife, her flight was delayed. The taxi driver was extremely angry and spoke really rudely for having to wait even-though the hotel themselves contacted me for pick up… i even updated them about the delay. Booking.com also took my card details but the manager said they cant charge me. But booking.com nor the manager said i need to pay at the property l, what if i didnt have any cash? I use apple pay most the time and at the time I didn’t have much cash. Communication can he better to avoid dissatisfaction.

Airy spacious rooms, good facilities, great breakfast in the garden, very helpful staff, could leave our bags securely when off trekking, reliable collection from airport, great location.

A little noisy one evening from nearby streets, but I suspect that is to be expected in Thamel.

Staff were very friendly, airport pick up easy to arrange and the breakfast was exceptional.

It did not affect me, but the free airport pick-up is only offered mid-morning to early evening, if flights arrive outside this time, there is a charge.

Location, cleanliness and extremely friendly staff - everything was superb! They even offer airport pickups and are extremely proactive with their communication from the day you book till the day you check out, along with very polite staff onsite. Its in a side street in a quiet location with a very nice garden area - in the heart of Thamel but away from the hustle bustle I will come back again!

I booked through Booking.com. The staff were nice, but the room floor was very dirty and sticky. No toothbrush or toothpaste was provided—we had to ask separately. The stay cost around 4300, which was not worth it. The corridor outside was noisy, with staff talking and giggling. Overall, I do not recommend this place—it’s not worth the money.

Pour ce dernier séjour, après 20 jours passés dans l'établissement, il a fallu élever la voix pour obtenir de garder notre chambre- gracieusement - le dernier jour, jusque dans l'après-midi ( notre avion partant à minuit!) Pas très commercial !

A small cockroach in the room. Not a big deal but just putting it there so you don’t leave any food open

The location of the hotel is the biggest plus point (inside a quiet but safe alley away from the main Thamel inner street). All the restaurants, shops, pubs and clubs were within a short walking distance. The availability of transport (using In Drive app) was very convenient as well. The bed was comfortable enough.

Cleanliness - the bathroom roof had several patches of mould. The palcemats on the dining area were old and stained. Facilities - toilet took long time to flush and on the last day it even got blocked as well. Breakfast - it was ok'ish, but something was just not feeling right (hard pancake, bread) The tv was very very small.

Hôtel agréable, bien situé, avec un jardin reposant. Tout le Personnel est des plus agréables, serviable et avec qui on peut échanger. Chambre superbe Un havre de paix pour plusieurs jours (20 jours) et en retrait de l'agitation de Thamel.

Superb location. Very central but tucked back slightly from the busy streets. Security in the evenings. Clean rooms, superb staff.

This is the best hotel in Thamel area for a traveller with normal budget and it is much better than other hotels that i have tried. It is so popular that it is better to book in advance

Habitacions enormes, llits molt còmode i bany amb aigua calenta tot el dia. Personal molt amable. Bon jardí exterior, tranquil i perfecte per relaxar-se. Situació molt bona, en ple centre del barri de Thamel però aïllat del soroll i el tràfic.

La camera era spaziosa e funzionale,gli spazi comuni interni ed esterni sono ben fruibili. Jà posizione è centrale a thamel. Colazione a buffet in stile occidentale. Servizio deposito bagagli eccellente. Prezzo un po' più alto della media di Kathmandu ma tutto sommato ne vale la pena.

La chambre est spacieuse. L’emplacement est calme tout en étant bien situé.

Samsara wins hands down on it’s location. The proximity to Thamel market, great cafés and restaurants are its USPs. Airport is 20 mins from the hotel and other attractions like Pashupatinath Temple, Durban Sqaure, Monkey Temple are all within 15-20 mins drive. The staff is very courteous and supportive. Recommended for everyone planning a trip to Kathmandu.

Breakfast spread had multiple options. It could be made better for vegetarians though

The hotel is infront of LOD Kathmandu and near to Thamel market therefore accessibility to restaurants and shops is convenient. The hotel also provide you foreign currency exchange upto certain NPR Limit. The staff is very polite and helpful. If you are visiting Kathmandu you should consider this property for stay.

Everything was good.

Location is a plus, bang on Thamel market. Food (dinner & lunch) was excellent. Room service was good and rooms were clean. They took care of our luggage until we were back from our trek.

Though we had complimentary Breakfast, the breakfast was not available, it was over too early. Though the chef was good, the service at the restaurant could be better. The person at the restaurant was not responsive. Wifi didn’t work on the first day of stay (some internal issue), later it was fixed and good.

The electrical plugs have become loose over time, there are several rooms where the AC is noisy, for water heater must wait 5-10 minutes

The hotel is located close to most of the shopping areas in Thamel yet it was not right on the street where it gets busy and noisy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The room was serviced promptly during our stay and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Also, the hotel has an elevator unlike other hotels where you have to climb up and down every time you stepped out.

Very good hotel with perfect location in the centre of Tamel in quiet place. Breakfast was reach and was served very early. The communications fast and helpful. Pefect and spacious place for group accommodation for me since couple of years.

The personal is really good people and the quiteness of the area by being located away from the noisy roads of Thamel was a win. I felt safe as a solo female traveller, which was important for me.

The facilities and the room were outdated and old. They should have renovated them. At least should have cleaned/painted the walls, cleaned the chair. But, bed sheets were clean. I think it is same for all the hotels in the Thamel area. I did not like the breakfast, it was poor comoared to the hotel I prevoiusly stayed in.

Once I made the booking through Booking.com, received a message from Mr.Keshab Khanal introducing himself and mentioned to contact him for any assistance required for our stay. Again on the day of our arrival, received a message enquiring about our arrival time. That's a great way of welcoming. As I had earlier booked a room with 3 beds, the hotel themselves changed to a better room to accommodate 4 of us. The stay was pleasant. Location in the heart of the city. With numerous shops, restaurants and money exchanges around. Superb breakfast. Rooms were cleaned every day. And all staff were very helpful. Mr.Keshab was in touch throughout our stay of 4 days. Thank you.

Sheets dirty when we arrived. Hot water kettle didn't work. No coffee in the room. TV didn't work. Room is loud next to storage/ janitor closet, breakfast mediocre.
