Location was great. Very clean and comfortable, ple ty of parking.

It was not hot while we were there but i did not see airconditioning. Only a fan that could be plugged in.

Breakfast was poor

Large comfortable room, bed, and bathroom. We were upgraded due to a cancellation. Staff was friendly and spoke English. We stayed on the 1st floor as requested to avoid lugging suitcases upstairs, however there are a dozen stairs before you enter the hotel. Well preserved and authentic historical hotel. There was plenty of parking in the back of the building. Could use a little TLC in some minor areas, but overall clean and comfortable place to stay. The dining rooms were lovely.

The building had a stale odor due to its age. But it was not bad odor due to dampness or spoilage.

Super ligging, schattig ouderwets maar zeer goed onderhouden hotel. Perfecte ligging in het stadje Bayeux en een fantastische uitvalsbasis om de bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken.

1 minpuntje was dat de ramen in onze kamer niet op een kiepstand konden, maar alleen maar open konden en echt direct totaal open waaiden. Je kon ze niet op een kier vastzetten. We zaten op de begane grond dus dat is dan niet prettig in de nacht om open te laten. Hoewel de poort van het hotel in de avond wel werd afgesloten, maar toch.

La ubicación es excelente y tiene parking dentro del hotel. El edificio es hermoso, es una casa del siglo XVIII reacondicionada. El personal es muy atento.

Las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado y el hotel no cuenta con ascensor.

Abbiamo apprezzato la location, molto suggestiva, tranquilla, comoda il parcheggio ed in particolare abbiamo gradito la disponibilità del personale, Eva ci ha assistiti con professionalità e gentilezza.

Non abbiamo trovato confortevoli i letti, questo ha pesato negativamente sul nostro soggiorno di sei notti.

Loved our two days in Bayeux and our stay at this hotel. Perks, free off street parking, quiet rooms, quiet courtyard to enjoy an evening cocktail. Be prepared no AC but the fan in the room made it quite comfortable. Allow them to make your dinner reservations each day (yes, reservations are a must) their suggestions were excellent.

Loved everything. Will come back.

The exterior and interior are gorgeous and very picturesque! Everything about it was charming, and quintessential French. We loved the location and the helpful staff. The staff offered to arrange private taxi transport to and from the train station, and we appreciated them opening breakfast before 7 am so we could eat a bite before our early departure. Also, we were able to check in to our family suite early as previously arranged.

We couldn’t manage to get hot water for the shower (it was just barely warm), and we had some trouble with the WiFi network and cellular service from our specific room location.

La struttura si trova in una posizione comodissima per visitare il centro di Bayeux. Inoltre il parcheggio interno è ottimo. Il personale molto disponibile.

The staff was wonderful, so nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good, nice selection of food. Location was great! Walk to town ,restaurants, shops. Room was large and comfortable. Lovely outdoor seating.

Like many places in France, there’s no AC so if you’re there in the summer be advised the rooms are very hot. They did give us a fan so we at least had some air movement in the room.

We stayed 1 night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location both within the town and for visiting the WW 2 sites. The Rooms were beautifully decorated, and clean with a large bathroom, and the hotel had a lovely ambience. Breakfast was good and there is a nice garden to sit in although we didn't use it. There was plenty of parking on site when we were there.

Wonderful, well situated hotel in a charming former hunting lodge. The hotel staff is superb, they make you feel like family! They also speak very good English. Much more of a B&B experience versus a hotel. We stayed in their biggest room with a king and separate twin beds as we had 5 people in a room. The hotel is walking distance to everything - on Saturday there was a bustling market right across the street. There was a large supermarket within walking distance too. We did do their daily breakfast option and it was scrambled eggs, American style bacon and sausage with pastries, breads and yogurt, juices, coffee and teas. Very on par with what Americans would expect from a continental hot breakfast. You’ll also be greeted by Gloria the house dog! One thing to consider: we were there during a heatwave and there is no air conditioning (it’s a historic building!) if this is important to you and you are going during the summer, I would say to stay somewhere else. We had ample fans, but it was hot for us Americans! This was our only downside. The other downside is their beds were not the most comfortable. Overall, the good exceeded the “bad” with this hotel and it was one of our favorite parts of our trip! We would recommend to anyone staying in Bayeux!

The lack of a lift can be a problem for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, everything is wonderful.

Beautiful hotel in a traditional style. All staff we met were lovely, including their friendly dog Gloria. Spacious rooms in the 2bed apartment and nice modern bathroom. Superb location just a short stroll to the town centre and cathedral, with local eateries just next door.

One of the best locations and properties we have stayed in. Lovely grands, gardens and sitting area. Reception is most wonderful.

Hotel d'Argouges is in the perfect location for exploring the Normandy coast and the WWII sites. The hotel is comfortable, has a lovely garden for an afternoon tea or drink and a delicious breakfast. The highlight for us was Gloria, the resident beagle, who greeted us on our return each day. She's adorable

This hotel was an excellent base for exploring the D-Day landing beaches and surrounding historic sites. Its location also made it easy to visit the beautiful Bayeux Cathedral and enjoy everything the charming town of Bayeux has to offer. Being able to walk to many of the area's attractions was a real convenience and made our stay even more enjoyable. What truly made our experience memorable, however, was the exceptional staff. Lisa was especially welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful visit. It was a pleasure meeting her and having the opportunity to discuss the region with a fellow North American. She provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants, attractions, and places to explore, which helped us make the most of our time in the area. Her friendly personality and local knowledge were greatly appreciated. We also had the pleasure of meeting Gloria on several occasions. She added to the hotel's inviting atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay while visiting Bayeux and the D-Day region.

No apto para personas con movilidad reducida, porque no hay ascensor. Se echaba en falta climatización, porque este mes de julio es excepcionalmente caluroso. La habitación y el mobiliario han quedado un poquito anticuados. El cuarto de baño está muy bien, moderno y cómodo, con un único defecto, la moda actual de suprimir el bidé.

Lovely bedroom - clean and welcoming. WE have stayed in this hotel on three other occasions and like the ambience of the old rooms. Also convenience to town is excellent.

Although all staff were warm and welcoming there was one male who appeared inebriated . All guests, enjoying a quiet evening drink in the garden, were disturbed by his shouting and attempts to bring an obviously reluctant pet dog into the house. This had an adverse effect on the relaxation which we were all due. He is NOT an asset to the hotel.

The property is steeped in history being almost 300 years old and having survived not only the French Revolution but also the Nazis. Yet its facilities are up to the minute as long as you don’t need air conditioning or elevators. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much to ask.

Great location as a base for exploring Normandy and the D-Day invasion sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable but not large and they are without air conditioning. So, a hot summer day could be an issue. We stayed in the “garden rooms” outside the main hotel building and there was no elevator. We were given rooms on the third floor and lugging the luggage up three flights was not enjoyable at all for this 78 year old. Nice breakfast but not provided with room. Current cost is about 14 euro per person. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. It was my second time to stay here and would definitely return again.
