The spa and pool facilities were excellent.The lady on reception was very helpful.Our room was spacious and comfortable .

Finding the hotel was extremely difficult as there was no signage to help .The bedroom was badly designed as there were no drawers for clothes and the room was set up more like an office than a bedroom .We stayed for three nights and the room was never cleaned and we had to ask for loo rolls etc. from reception.The restaurant was very badly managed and staff were unhelpful . Breakfast was disappointing compared with other similar hotels .

WiFi was a bit patchy. Bar, reception and gym all unstaffed and had to ring a bell for someone to come. It was early event and peak time.

We were staying at Hogs back hotel and Spa in Farnham and are less than happy with our stay. We have tried to discuss with reception but they were particularly unhelpful. Our room is classed as a family room. As you can see from the photos one adult could fit in the bed, not two. Which left a pull out bed for our son and one of us on the floor. The bath tap was broken and dripped all night. The shower head was coming away from the wall. The whole hotel is outdated and not reflected in the price at all. We have had a very poor nights sleep and feel sad as a treat away it has been less than acceptable. Additionally, we were not made aware we could our blue light card when booking and could have saved ourselves 30% - when asked at reception they said ‘too late now’. I would like at least a partial refund for this stay.

Room wasn't ready. No towels provided. Paid for breakfast but they couldn't find the payment on their system Eventually after a lot of stress and going and frying they did. Breakfast poor service. Lack of management and training. Couldn't book a table for dinner because a tour group were in and had taken over the restaurant. Wasn't told this when i booked. Would never have booked had I known. Had to travel out and make alternative arrangements.

The food was ok . The staff were fantastic. The swimming pool was great along with the jacuzi and steam room . And the view at the back of the hotel was nice

We had a room at the front of the hotel and all we could here was the sound of cars going up and down the carriageway

Quality and standard of the breakfast very poor. Buffet selection greasy and not hot. Tea and coffee at breakfast by self serve machine. Terrible. Not hot. Tasted like poor quality creamer. Cups not properly cleaned, taking several attempts to find a clean cup.

Room with a connecting door - very noisy when there was someone in the adjoining room. The hotel should try to avoid putting people in these rooms if they are not part of the same party.

Children spashing screaming in the spa. Dinner being forgotten for an hour, bar not providing coke, children playing iPads at 9pm in dining room. Dirty ashtray s everywhere, dirty spa grime around the pool , room had dirty bathroom.

Room was comfortable although no air con, which as an older hotel we would not necessarily expect. A fan, after requesting it, was made available.

Bar and Restaurant were poorly staffed. Breakfast seemed poor for the level of the hotel. Serving tea and coffee would make a real difference to the atmosphere.

The welcome at the front desk by Leo was terrible, if not obnoxious. The rooms were very hot and uncomfortable. It was our wedding evening and this was noted in the booking. No mention of it was made upon check in or check out

I was promised a family room after messaging the hotel but when I checked in I was told I was no longer be able to stay in that room. This was disappointing. I also had a very hot room but I understand they this can't be helped. I did have a fan but air con in the rooms would have made my stay a lot more pleasant. I did not sleep well unfortunately because the windows barely open (I understand the reasoning behind this for obvious safety reasons) but it meant there was no air flow.

Our first room didn't have air-con and was hot but staff were brilliant and moved us to another room with air-con. The man at reception couldn't do enough for us.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Parking was handy. The man on reception was very nice. Pool is lovely and free for guests.

The room was very warm. A fan was provided but still a bit uncomfortable. Although I had booked a twin we were initially given a double and had to ask to change. The breakfast could be better. A good level of choice but the hot breakfast ingredients were only ok.

The Hotel has no air conditioning. That's OK, but it's not then OK to have a single window that only opens by 6cm.

There was only one good thing about our stay- an exceptional woman named Hannah. A joy to be around and she would go above and beyond to help you. A credit to the company.

- we came with a child. The aircon did not work and the room reached 38 degrees at night. It wasn’t safe. The staff were uninterested in helping. - there are no fridges in the rooms. So when we asked if they could kindly store our baby’s milk in the fridge, they just said ‘no’. It’s only when we insisted that they reluctantly agreed. - the food was diabolical. We ordered a margherita pizza, and it was a cheap- CHEAP, frozen pizza which arrived burnt. - they leave a room service menu but no way to order. I rang the mainline from my mobile 3 times before someone answered. They said that I get room service id have to leave the room, go to the bar, order the food and be charged £5 for the privilege. When I explained I couldn’t leave the room as my baby is in the room, they came and took my order from my room. Everything felt like such a chore. - everything is so expensive. We arrived early and were charged £20 for an early check-in. It’s such a tacky thing to do. The breakfast is £15pp and uninspiring. Will not stay again- or reccomend.

Everything. The location, the staff, the food, the pool the ambiance. The staff were extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. It was so hot when we stayed and they were all still providing a top service.

Attention to detail from housekeeping. Clean mugs in the room , check the dates on the biscuits, make sure soap dispensers are filled up, especially the ones in the shower.

Thought we had booked breakfast as our previous stay but they said it was room only🤔

Using the spa and pool facilities is quite pleasant after checking in and a long drive. Breakfast is alright, so is dinner but as a French person it's quite baffling to be charged for a few bread rolls as if bread was separate from the overall dinner food.

When driving to the hotel FROM Guilford via the Guildford to Farnham A31, it is quite tricky to get to the hotel. It is much easier to find the hotel via the A31 heading towards Guildford taking the Seale exit and the hotel is right there after some petrol services. The rooms I have to say are sound-proofed and the surrounding countryside is quite pleasant.

The front of house staff were SO friendly and good with the kids. LOVED it

Food wasn’t amazing considering the price, but we honestly loved the stay. The decor is slightly dated but the vibes from the staff at front of house make it. Warm and friendly and great for kids.

Peux être qu’un petit frigo dans les chambres serait un plus ! Pas de Clim mais des petits ventilateurs ! On avait tellement chaud ! C’est difficile à supporter a 4 personnes dans une seule chambre. Dommage car le cadre est vraiment chouette

Pool chlorine was very strong to the point we had to leave as it was burning our eyes. Very busy pool and no life guard. Not much at breakfast buffet Drinks were expensive Advertises Starbucks coffee but it’s just a machine. Furniture is dated in dining areas Rooms small, very hot and supplied with one fan that didn’t really do much. I understand it’s summer but it was sweltering. Uncomfortable beds.

Although the staff were very friendly and helpful I'm afraid our experience of the restaurant wasn't good at all , My girlfriend and I ordered the Hunter's chicken and My chicken was a little tough and over cooked at the side's but my girlfriend's chicken was even harder and she struggled to eat it!! We brought this to the staff's attention and the chief passed on his apology , they also didn't charge me for my desert but in short au do not believe the food quality reflects the prices charged.. I must add that although we found the evening restaurant poor I must say that the breakfast was lovely and good value for money.

Bedrooms had no air con. very hard to sleep and very uncomfortable rooms because of the heat, hotel of this type must have air con in its rooms. Premier inn down the road had full air con in its rooms for half the price my husband said. very disappointed because of this . Jane, Kim and girls

The room was spotlessly clean. Lots of shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. The beds were very comfy. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Finding the hotel was tricky at night. The bedrooms were unacceptably hot. It needs airconditioning. I had taken 2 of my own fans thankfully but the temperature in the room was unacceptable in this day and age. It hadn't even been a particularly hot day. I had two rooms. One of them had bottles of complimentary water but the other one didn't.

The spa and grounds were nice. Some staff, specifically the bar, restaurant and spa were pleasant, welcoming and friendly.

I had booked a family room for myself, my brother, and my nephew. However, when I checked in, I was given a room key for a double room. The receptionist who assisted me was a gentleman with grey hair and a moustache, although I was unable to obtain his name. When I returned to reception to explain that I had been allocated the wrong room, I found the receptionist to be dismissive and unhelpful. He appeared flustered and told me that rooms were allocated according to occupancy rather than according to the room type booked. He also stated that, because I had apparently not specified that a child would be staying, it was acceptable to reallocate the room without notifying me or offering any refund for the difference. I was then told that no family rooms were available. Each time I attempted to explain the situation, the receptionist interrupted me and became increasingly frustrated. As I did not want the situation to become confrontational, and a large queue had formed behind me, I reluctantly accepted a twin room, as this was the only alternative offered. As a result, I had to sleep in another family member’s room, which was extremely inconvenient and far from the arrangement I had booked and paid for. I find it unacceptable that a confirmed room booking can be changed without prior notice, explanation, or an appropriate refund. I was also disappointed by the dismissive manner in which my concerns were handled at reception. Guests should be able to expect both the room type they have booked and courteous assistance when a problem arises. In addition, the rooms were not air-conditioned and became unbearably hot during the recent summer weather. This made it extremely difficult to sleep and significantly affected the comfort of our stay.

The biggest issue was the temperature of the room. It was unbearably hot, and the fan provided made very little difference. Sleeping was extremely difficult, and I found myself spending as much time as possible outside the room because it was so uncomfortable. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room when I arrived, so I ended up buying an air freshener to make it more bearable. I had travelled with a large suitcase, and my room was on the second floor with no lift, which made carrying luggage up the stairs quite inconvenient. Overall, the hotel feels very dated. The lack of air conditioning made the stay particularly uncomfortable, especially during warm weather. The bathroom also had separate hot and cold taps rather than a mixer tap, which added to the outdated feel. The bar and breakfast area have the appearance of an old-fashioned pub rather than a modern hotel.

The pool area was a welcome respite from the heatwave! It was a lovely pool area. Room facilities were nice.

Our stay coincided with a heatwave and this hotel is not one to stay in during a heatwave. It was so hot in the room that we hardly slept. The windows don’t open very much so there’s no air flow at all. Obviously it doesn’t happen often in England so the hotel isn’t equipped at all for hot weather. Front desk was quite rude. Despite pre-booking 2 cots for our room and having this approved before are arrival when we arrived we were told we didn’t book cots and had asked for a sofa bed which was made up in our room (which it wasn’t anyway) and that it might be too late to get cots (we arrived just before 5pm). We were given two cots and queen size bed sheets to erect and make up ourselves. Seems like perhaps they are understaffed as the man from front desk seemed to have to do it all himself with no help. Ordered room service; the pizza was clearly store bought (or at least the base was) and the mac & cheese made us ill and it wasn’t cheap. There is an app to download to order food from but it doesn’t work so had to order at the bar.

Lovely place with exceptionally kind and caring staff. Thank you to everyone who made this short getaway such a special experience for me and my son, who is currently very ill. It gave us a much-needed chance to catch our breath and find a little peace during a very difficult time.

It was local to where we were visiting. It was clean.

It was a very hot weekend and there was no air conditioning. Inadequate fan. The tap didn’t turn off properly and need servicing. We were charged more money for breakfast than had been advertised. We expected to pay £12.50 but were charged £15.00.

Freindly staff, especially our waitress, she was very attentive, and looked after us!

Due to the heat wave on the saturday the rooms had no aircon and where charging £25 for units. I tried to get one and there was non left. There was a small fan in the room which was a waste as the room was so hot it didnt help.

The staff in general were very helpful and pleasant (especially the evening barman and the morning restaurant ladies). I ordered dine in food and it arrived within 20 minutes which was perfect. The food was a good standard. The room was clean and functional with an added bonus of a fan for the hot weather!

the evening male receptionist was not welcoming or particularly helpful. No effort was made to ask if I was familiar with the hotel (ie did I know where my room/restaurant etc was located), no information on mealtimes and just generally felt like the questions were an inconvenience to him.
