We absolutely loved our stay at Ceagull. The brand new pool was such a welcome surprise, it was a great addition to our stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and prepared a lovely breakfast every morning. Location is a short walk into Ahangama. Would 100% choose to stay here again on our return.

I rate this very highly in all the hotels I’ve stayed before… cause it’s simply wholesome. The location is great for me, 15 mins away from the noisy cafes and crowds but still very peaceful. The staffs are excellent, the provided breakfast is lovely and the value for the room is amazing.

WiFi can be a bit slow depending on the day, so is in other parts of Ahangama-Weligama so it’s tolerable.

Comfortable A/C room with brand new furnitures. Private and safe. Lovely balcony. Walking distance to beautiful sandy beach. Family friendly.

I booked garden view room but first they gave me room which they called as upgrade as it was a family room. That was dark room windows facing to the aircons of neighbours, the first night was nightmare as this noise had such echo to my room + quite loud ac in the room. Second day I demanded change and got a room which was facing to the garden and had some sun light, then I had a good sleep. Bed is comfortable and design of the hotel is nice. Location was great as it was quiet and short walk away from swimmable sandy beach and couple of good restaurants were also very close.

I was missing the table and chair to actually sit and work behind computer, all tables were small and more to put your water bottle there. Also too many video cameras right shining light in the evening to your doorway:)

We had an amazing stay here and ended up staying for 11 days because we enjoyed it so much. Everything was well taken care of from start to finish. The room was always very clean and tidy, and housekeeping did a fantastic job, she is such a kind and lovely woman. Breakfast was great every day, with plenty of tasty options. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our entire stay. A special thanks to Ravdu, who provided excellent service and did a great job. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back!

Design of the bathroom is not very safe as the water get everywhere when showered.

Veel keuzes bij het ontbijt. Daardoor duurde het wel lang voordat we alles kregen wat we de avond ervoor besteld hadden. Ze maken geen dingen eerder op de ochtend of de dag ervoor, het is allemaal super vers. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Lief personeel die altijd willen helpen. De kamer was super schoon. We konden onze flesjes water telkens hervullen bij een koud waterpunt. Het buitenterrein werd perfect onderhouden. Onze airco was een keer stuk, binnen 15 minuten stond er iemand op de Stoep om te helpen. We hebben lekker veel op het strand gespeeld en gesurfd. Top!

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und man konnte aus verschiedenen Varianten auswählen. Die Früchteplatten die es gab waren sehr groß und es gab jeden Tag eine andere Früchteauswahl. Für uns war die Lage des Hotels optimal und ruhig gelegen. Toll fanden wir auch den kleinen Kühlschrank in unserem großen schönen Zimmer. Der Weg zum schönen Kabalana Beach war gut zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. 50 Meter vom Hotel entfernt gibt es das a la Carte Restaurant in dem man hervorragend essen kann. Vor dem Restaurant gab es einen klitzekleinen Lebensmittel Shop wo man Wasser und vieles mehr kaufen konnte.

Das Frühstück gab es leider erst ab 8.30 Uhr, Frühaufsteher müssen also sehr lange warten bis es Frühstück gibt und es hat auch dann lange gedauert bis man das komplette Frühstück am Tisch hatte.

Otelin konumu kabalana beach e yürüyerek 5 dk. Otelde akşam yemeği imkanı yok ama etrafta çok güzel restoranlar var. Kahvaltısı gayet güzel. Çalışanlar çok yardımsever ve güler yüzlü.

Me and my gf stayed here for 5 nights and we very enjoyed, the place is very clean spacious and in great location . Everything I asked Ravindu I got very quickly, very good service from him and the team, breakfast was tasty with a lot of options.

The hotel is well situated for Kabalana beach and ahangama. The staff are helpful.

There is a huge noisy generator in the courtyard which runs 24 hours a day. The aircon was leaking water which was running down the wall with a towel placed on the floor to catch the water. No hot water. We did not stay - we moved to another hotel

This is the sixth place I stay couple of days in Sri Lanka. So now I know the standard in this country. Unfortunately, this hotel feels like there is no manager or owner, because the staffs 0-24 hiding behind their phone📲 Zero eye contact with customers, when you arrive or go, they just looking their phone. It was so strange experience here. All other places are very welcoming, sometimes more than I expected as european. Other thing is the breakfast🍳. They serve the food piece by piece. I get omlette. Then 2 minutes later bread, then I need to ask 5 mins later the remain part of the food coming or not? Then they serve, after I need to ask again to bring the tea😸😸😣 Horrible. I was thinking every day, better to go outside and pay extra for properly served breakfast. I dont want to mention the electricity and cleaning, because I dont want to waste more word here. The manager (if have any) should keep an eye on these things, because it can highly improve the customer experience during their stay. Anyway the hotel has great location. (I stayed 5 days)

צוות העובדים אדיבים, חרוצים ומסבירים פנים, כל בקשה מתבצעת מהר מאד. סייעו בכל שאלה שעלתה אם בהזמנת טוקטוק, המלצה למסז', מסעדות ביתיות בסביבה, מים ועוד.... החדר והשטח הציבורי היו נקיים ומסודרים, רואים שהם מתחזקים הכל ואת הריהוט הישיבה המיוחד במרפסת ע"מ לשמור על סטנדרט גבוה .

ריח ועשן משריפה מכוונת של מקומיים, חבל ששדורי הטלויזיה היו משותקים לאורך כל שהייתנו (5 לילות)לטענתם בגלל שיבושי קליטה

Staff were helpful. Breakfast was nice. Rooms were nice and spacious.

There is no lift. Had to walk up till second floor. The washroom floor slopes were improper. Water accumulates in the floor & does not drain off after bath. There is no ventilation in the washrooms so a foul odor lingers.

Comfortable rooms in a quiet location. Warm shower. Good to have a scooter to explore the surrounding.

Everything was fine.

O quarto era muito confortável, grande e limpo! O pequeno-almoço bastante variado e mais parece almoço! Localização boa e sossegada mas perto da praia e o centro eram uns minutos a pé.

Houve uma toalha que tinha um cheiro estranho…

Très bel hôtel, chambre très spacieuse,avec coin salon . Salle de bain très spacieuse aussi. Bons équipements, et surtout excellent petit déjeuner, très copieux, trop même. Location de scooter sur place, mais attention petit bémol.

Quand vous louez un scooter, vérifiez bien les freins et surtout les pneus. Pour le notre, pneu avant totalement lisse, et ils ont ignoré notre remarque. Mauvaise réception wifi.

Habitación y baños amplios, ubicación muy cerca de la playa, personal muy amable y el desayuno muy abundante.

Una cama era de muelles (poco comoda). Las habitaciones son un poco oscuras y con poca ventilación. Falta un lugar para tender la ropa y las sábanas estaban manchadas.

Instalaciones muy correctas para su precio, habitación y baño grandes y todo muy limpio. El personal extraordinariamente amable y resolutivo. Está en una zona tranquila pero a un paseo en tuk tuk del bullicio de Ahangama. Y a la playa de puede ir andando.

La televisión no funcionaba, aunque podría ser un problema puntual, pero no se solucionó en los tres días que estuvimos

Manque d’obscurité la nuit dans la chambre

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und gut gelegen - nicht zu weit vom Strand und eine kleinen Spaziergang von der Stadt entfernt. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und komfortabel, sehr bequeme Betten und alles war sauber. Das Personal wirkt vielleicht etwas unerfahren oder jung aber ist sehr, sehr nett.

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig (waren sie meistens in Sri Lanka) aber hier war es doch etwas lauter als sonst. Tagsüber hört man alles aus dem Innenhof und die Autowerkstatt nebenan, die laut Musik spielt. Nachts hörte ich die Straße hinterm Haus und es hörte sich an wie ein Generator, der die ganze Nacht lief. Ich konnte nur mit Oropax schlafen, so ging es aber gut!

Room was spacious and cool, and bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and Ceagull is only a short walk to Kabalana Beach. We got a significant discount when booking and this meant the room was amazing value.

Poor bathroom drainage meant the bathroom floor easily flooded after a shower and didn’t drain. Due to the window design, the room was quite dark and there was no way to let light in without also letting in the heat. While not the hotel’s fault, the monkeys caused significant noise from the roof of the top floor - could be worth asking for a second floor room!

Everything is just great! Beautifully maintained nice villa away from the noise and dust. Just a 5 min walk from the main road, but tuktuks pass it regularly. Some very nice little restaurants right next door. The rooms are quite spacious, even the standard double ones. The Family and Family Suite rooms are just perfect for the family. The beds are new and very comfy, pillows as well. Bathroom has a shower in the middle of the room, which seems to be a standard for Sri Lanka, but there was enough space around it.. Maybe a floor towel could be a nice improvement to be made. Breakfast is included and has several options, mine was 4 eggs sunny side up, 3 toasts, a fruit plate, jam and butter, and a whole pot of coffee. More than enough to get the day going. Other options include pancakes which other guests seemed to have enjoyed. The staff is very helpful, kind, and attentive. Whenever anything needed to be fixed (water pressure dropped, or a/c remote needed new batteries), they did it right away. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Good hotel for short term stay. The property is nice outside. Super friendly stuff. Rooms were okay for its money. Good location. There is nice Ahangama beach (surf spot) next to hotel. And good restaurants are nearby.

God beliggenhed og vi kunne låne håndklæder til stranden

Forstår ikke helt alle de gode anmeldelser. Værelserne er meget mørke, bortset fra om natten hvor der kommer lys ind fra skoderne over døren. Ingen information fra personalet ved indtjekning om fx tidspunkt for morgenmad, eller at de ikke gør rent medmindre man beder om det. De havde heller ikke ekstra nøgler, så vi skulle aflevere vores nøgle hver gang. Det værste var dog at der kørte en generator ude foran værelset som larmede helt ekstremt, også om natten. Morgenmad var først fra kl. 8:30. Personalet snakkede så højt om morgenen at vi blev vækket af dem. De brugte hele hotellet til at tørre håndklæder og sengetøj, så det var ikke særlig indbydende at bruge de stole der ellers stod de rådighed ved vores værelse som terrasse.

Hele goede prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Ruime kamer, vriendelijke staff, locatie is zeer goed/nabij het strand. Housekeeping moet je om vragen, maar wordt vervolgens zorgvuldig uitgevoerd. Zouden het hotel zeker aanbevelen.
