Breakfast was limited but enough. We opted for bread Omlet, juice . It was made fresh. Best part was seeing an Rhino walking thorugh that property. Very unique experiance. Hotel is right on the main road, with many restaurents and shops around it. Rooms are basic but comfortable.
Beautiful room with air con, fan and mosquito nets. The staff were very attentive, picked us up from the bus stop (and dropped us back). Food was excellent. We had 2 full days, and booked our excursions with the hotel itself, who have excellent guides and will suggest plenty of different options to suit available time and budget Overall, coming to Chitwan to see the Rhino is a privilege. I'll come back to hopefully see Tiger and Sloth Bear
Washroom is clean
Cheap hospitality, loot mentality. Very very cheap management. Even very reluctant for issuing VAT bills
The room was very nice and clean, and the garden area is truly beautiful – perfect for relaxing. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, which made our stay very enjoyable. It’s also very convenient that tours to Chitwan National Park can be booked directly through the accommodation.
The food at the hotel was not quite to our taste. However, it’s easy to find restaurants nearby so this wasn’t a major issue.
The room was super comfortable and the staff were really kind and helpful. The location was perfect and I enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommend.
Wonfer ful location, incredibly friendly staff. The room was great and the garden very beautiful. The welcome plaque was a lovely touch xx
One of the best hotels we stayed in in Nepal. You're really in the jungle here! Beautiful rooms and garden and the staff were amazingly attentive and friendly.
We found the host a little bit pushy with regard to the excursions they offer, as well as overpriced in comparison with other guides. We did accept his offer after bargaining, however, and had a generally good experience. Other than that, I wouldn't hestitate to recommend this hotel.
Just OK
Having to tell them every time we wanted a hot shower in order for them to do something with the heater, in 5 nights they never got the breakfast correct, the bed was really hard and the Wi-Fi wasn’t great either.
Beautiful garden full of flowers, clean room to fit our family of 4 with soft comfy beds, great location on main street, lovely helpful staff, and a rhino wandering through!
The facilities leave nothing to be desired. Excellent value for money for such a beautiful room. The family is incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in the well-being of their guests.
The accommodation did not offer the cheapest deals for national park tours and trips. However, the guides are part of the family business and certainly offer more than usual. My room was closest to the street and right next to the car park. But that meant I was the first to admire the rhino during its evening walk. An incredibly amazing experience.
Welcoming staff, good room. A rhino passed through the premises, was an unbelievable experience
I recommend this camp to everyone. Communication with Saugat for organising the activities via email was perfect from the beginning. Also he immediately got me a car to travel from Kathmandu when my flight was cancelled. During my stay Mr Gopal, who is one of the nature guides, was my host and made sure I had everything I needed (breakfast a la carte, a driver for the time of departure, etc.) Som was my guide for 2 days at Chitwan National Park. He's a fun, kind, and knowledgeable guy. In the dinning hall of the camp the staff are also very attentive. I literally became part of the family those days 🥰 The camp itself is a beautiful and cozy place and it's on a street where there a few shops, restaurants, and cafés. Last, I'm very satisfied with the activities at the park which were the jeep safari ride and a forest walk. I could see deers, rhinos, birds, crocodiles, etc. The vegetation is also amazing. Som explained me lots of stuff about both the flora and fauna of Chitwan. I will definitely recommend the camp to my friends and relatives if I have the chance.

From the minute I arrived I was treated with kindness and warmth. Flowers greeted me by the door to my room which was a nice touch. The staff was helpful in booking my tours. The location is fabulous for walking about town. BEST PART is a rhinoceros strolled through the property at nightfall every night
There was nothingI didn’t like!
IMPRESSIONNANT !
Rien. Séjour parfait.
Der Innengarten war das Beste. Dort kann man entspannen und sich erholen. Es fehlt an nichts.
Hotel net i personal molt agradable. Molt recomanable
Excellent hotel, beautiful location, and a very warm welcome. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food is good and varied. The excursions offered are very well organized. There are wild rhinos walking on the paths of this hotel. I was just having my dinner when one just passed by, on his way to some grass field, minding his own business. Like it's completely normal :) loved it!
Das Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit
We felt very comfortable during our stay. The rom was clean, spacious and the interior was good with large bed and working AC.Tips for all the safari packages were also available and the host was very concerned about our well-being.Services like transporation, restaurant or laundry are no problem. The safaris( full day, half day walking and 3 hours of canoeing) that we booked from the hotel were very nice and well organised. Our breakfast was served early in the morning so that we were able to enter the park early morning and could enjoy the whole day there. Thanks to their good experience,we were able to get a good look at the animals and even saw a tiger and a lots of rhinos up close and interestingly inside the hotel itself. All in all, highly recommended.
Everything was just perfect.
Location and room size
Mattress was awful.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Traveller Jungle Camp. The place is beautiful — our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with air conditioning, and the garden was simply mesmerising. The guesthouse is run by a lovely family who took care of us aux petits oignons. They helped us organise our safari, arranged our bus to Kathmandu when tickets were hard to find, and even picked us up from the bus station free of charge. We were incredibly lucky to stay there during the Tihar festivities and were invited to celebrate with the family — not as mere guests, but as friends. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our three weeks in Nepal. If you get the chance to stay with this family, consider yourself truly blessed.
Everything was simply perfect.
The management and staff were really helpful, polite and forthcoming. The property itself is fantastic with a lot of greenery and cool spaces. The breakfast was wonderful too.
I liked mostly everything about this property
Loved the family who run this hotel, the breakfast was tasty, cup of tea was really yummy too. We booked our safari tour and dances through the hotel and we had the best time, could not of asked for a better guide, Som and Gopal were very knowledgeable. The stay was just amazing and we was actually sad to leave here. Rhino walking inside the hotel was beyond our imagination. Would stay here over and over again!
There is nothing I disliked
Location. Staff was extremely helpful and they can also book the tours. Comfortable bed and a very relaxing accommodation.
We spent two nights here in a beautiful setting – highly recommended to everyone! Everything was clean, peaceful, and calm. Despite our delay, the owner waited for us until midnight, helped us with the check-in, and arranged everything we needed for the trek and our visit to the national park. Wonderful people – always helpful and kind. Once again, thank you for the lovely time we had at your place – we’d be happy to stay again. Wishing you all the best... namaste! Miroslav
Loved the place! The staff was super friendly and made us feel like home. The surroundings were beautiful, garden clean and full of flowers. Quite room, where I had the best sleep after few weeks in Nepal. We also got a tour to jungle with them. Guides were very knowledgeable and caring. Explained every detail and were super patient with us. Would go back to them the next time. It really felt that they love what they do and do it from heart.
Lovely resort with the absolute best service. The staff are wonderful and bend over backwards to meet your every need. I genuinely have never experienced that level of commitment to service. We had a wonderful full day jeep safari tour with Gopal, the nature guide who did everything he could together with a fantastic driver, to make sure we saw as many special animals as possible. It was a great day out in the jungle which I’d surely book again from the hotel. We even had a super deluxe picnic with all sorts of food from the hotel in the middle of the park. Great property, even better people.
The most special part of my visit to Nepal was visiting Chitwan. An excellent place to observe animals and fauna of all kinds. The hotel was excellent and very clean. If you're very lucky you will see a tiger. And if your guides are Gopal and Som you are very lucky indeed! A most excellent guide and enthusiast about all he sees. Knows so much too! We were surprised to see the rhino grazing and walking inside the garden of the hotel.
We extended our stay due to the really nice staff and atmosphere. De guides are professional and knowledgeable. They called is when a rhino was sighted or even a wild elephant! They ensured we were safe. The shower was really good and warm. Also the breakfast was great! Thank you, we will see each other again!

Amazing base for going out on safari, staff all super friendly and very helpful in helping get best value for money for a safari trip.
The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Lovely gardens and the layout of the rooms is wonderful. The school of the owners son stayed one night, during our stay. They invited us to join everyone for a lovely Nepali meal. It was so kind of them. Big bonus, a local Rhino often strolls through the gardens, on its way to feed in the fields behind the hotel. Quite incredible!
Nothing
Was in a good location wise very affordable. Property is also big everyone staff member are really friendly. Room is very neat and clean.
We had a terrific stay at the Travellers Jungle Camp. The staff were incredibly helpful, the location was excellent and the rooms were immaculately clean. The elephants and rhinos walking through the camp were an added bonus. Would highly recommend.
This hotel is really exceptional: Staff and owner are very friendly, kind and helpful. My room and all hotel is very clean and wonderfully maintained. The hotel is a beautiful place with a garden, many trees. Located in the centre of Sauraha, on a very quiet, silent and safe place. Walk distance to the safari. A wild rhino gave us a suprise visit, it was amazing to see the wild rhino walking in the pathway of the hotel. Everything works well, hot water, free wifi, A/C, comfy bed. The staff helped us organize private tours and were super attentive when we were at the hotel.Walking a whole day and returning by car was the best experience. We saw 7 rhinos and many more animals. I will stay here again my next visit. Thank you
Lovely stay in a calm and lush oasis in Chitwan with perfect location! The staff was very service minded and went above and beyond to make the most of our stay in Chitwan. Some things that made our stay special was the pickup at the bus station, the welcome drink, free fresh papaya straight from the garden and the drop off at the bus station. The son of the owner even drove us to a place in the village after a rhino had been spotted there just so we could see it and the other night he came running to our room to make sure we did not miss the rhino passing by right outside in the street. We went on a great full day guided jungle walk with canoe and crocodile breeding center visit with Mr Gopal and Mr Som. It was quite expensive, but it was well worth the unique experience! We saw four Rhinos and several other animals on a day where some people who went by Jeep saw zero! Their 30+ years of experience really pays off!
As a solo, female traveller, I could not recommend Traveller’s jungle camp enough. Well-located, clean and incredibly friendly, I could not have been looked after better. Mr Gopal not only provided great recommendations but was also a fantastic guide - the tour down the river and safari walk were fantastic. The team - in particular Mr Gopal and Saugat - were also brilliant in their endeavours to get me back to Kathmandu when it looked like my flight may not go due to bad weather. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
We had a great time here and looking forward to our next visit
Nothing
People were all friendly and happy to help any time. Fabulous jeep safari booked through hotel and Som was fantastic guide. Garden was lovely place to relax.
Bathroom needs work to spruce up.
Garden
Maintainence should me done for rooms
The garden was relaxing and the staff were really friendly and accomodating, also in a good location
The bathrooms need to be cleaned properly and the strong smell of smoke from the fires in neighbouring paddocks
Positive- Big Rooms, Very Near to Lake Side. Natural Ambience. Bathtub in Bathroom. They have sent pick from tourist bus stop on free of cost basis
Improvements: Compared to other Nepal Hotel Guest Friendly ness, Here owner and family were not much interactive in welcoming guests or providing guidance. Bathrooms are very Old, leaky and needs replacements of sanitary items.
Travellers Jungle Camp offers an incredible holiday retreat or a work getaway. The ambiance is peaceful , immersed in nature's beauty. Accommodation is very spacious and are embraced by lush greenery. The owners are welcoming, and the staff provide remarkable hospitality. Location wise also it’s in the heart of sauraha. Highly recommended.
Nothing
Really enjoyed my time. I extendend my trips for few days because the place is very peaceful. Location is perfect and easily accessible to anywhere. Did jungle safari, canoeing trip and keep safari. The guide Som is very amazing.
I don’t have any disappointments.
Nice hotel at a reasonable price
The hotel owner keeps elephants and does elephant tours Rooms, towels, and bed linings could be cleaner
Very nice cozy hotel near everything in town. Breakfast was good and they were very accommodating about times. Mosquito nets and very nice gardens. Overall nice stay.
Would have loved to have the option to pay with credit card. But they said it wasn’t working.
Lovely guides and people, rooms comfortable and good mosquito nets and fans
They came wait for us at bus stop and gave ride to lodge. And then, we have good lunch… and we book safari with the owner and staff and that was so easy, honest and conveniente! Thanks you! Great stay
It was my first visit.. I should say I had an amazing experience. Spacious room, delicious nepali dishes and a very comfortable atmosphere with a beautiful garden. Plus staffs are very friendly and fun loving. Better to bring families and friends when u have the stay. I will definitely visit Travellers Jungle camp the next time I come to Nepal.
Nothing such
The room was nice and clean but it needs some refurbishment. The surroundings was full of greenery which is refreshing for those who came from the city. The hotel arranged our safari tour so it went smoothly. They also provided us pickup from bus park to the hotel.
At dinner, the service was slow. In the afternoon, while we were discussing the safari tour, they suggested us to eat dinner there and also told us to come for dinner at 7. We came there at 7:05 and the food was only served at 7:40. The tharu performance starts at 8. So we had to rush eating. There must be some miscommunication. Breakfast was average.
Very nice resort with pleasant gardens and large clean rooms. Good wifi, breakfast and piping hot water in the shower. Excellent location in the centre of town. We even had a rhino walk through the hotel grounds on its way to the fields at the back! Really good value for money.
I stayed at the hotel. The only thing that I and my family enjoyed the silentness and smell of nature (surrounding) at dark night. Very few feedback of my overall 1 night in stay - 1. Getting hot water is really painful job here. Need some sincere maintenance and quick prompt on guest's request. 2. Foods prices are like sky-rocket here. People staying at the hotel(staffs) are not the best guest friendly as per my expereince and also don't have enough other options/varieities. Conclusion: They only take good care of foreigners. Having only 20 mins (Due to late safari arranged by themselves only) late to checkout and the way they pushed us, it seemed like we have done something terribly wrong with them.
Checkout push by knocking the door for only 20 mins late They gave firstly 2 water bottles for 5 persons to drink while taken 2+3 accomodation in 2 separate rooms.
Provided pickup service from the airport, good breakfasts, perfect location not far from the river and the host who is also a guide for the National Park was very helpful, informative, welcoming and friendly! I would love to stay at this property again someday!
Everything was so good. The environment was spectacular. Garden was so full of flowers and looked amazing. I had the awesome view from my room. Woke up with the sound of birds.
Everything very well organised. The place looked very nice and clean, and the staff was very helpfull.
I can't think of anything i did't like
We had a great 3 night stay here in January. We were pleased to have heating and hot water in the rooms. Beds were comfy, food was great. It was very central to restaurants and handy for the river. Gopal met us and was very attentive in ensuring we were comfortable. He arranged our safaris … in one day we did a dawn canoe trip (amaaaazing!!), walking safari then a jeep safari (which finished at sunset). He accompanied us on the first two outings and was wonderful at pointing out and naming the birds. He went through our photos and helped us identify other birds we had seen in Nepal using his local bird book. We were fortunate to see the rhino passing right by our wee cottage … and loved that there were a few elephants in the field at the end of the garden. We used the hammocks and also enjoyed the open fire at nights
A couple of nights a neighbouring hotel had very loud music which finished at 10pm
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food quality was excellent and the room I had, had a balcony with a garden view. I would recommend this hotel, the only thing I would say is they need a pool. The safari they organized was the best one.Enjoyed everything.I highly recommend this place.❤️❤️
If you are visiting Sauraha, this is the place for a relaxing and memorable stay. The majestic location with a spacious garden and balconies attracts you at first sight. The rooms are well maintained with all sorts of facilities. The owners and staff are super-friendly and helped us navigate the local places including safaris and indigenous community events.

I was captivated by the hospitality of the hotel staff. They were super accommodating, delightful and eager to help. Great Location, Took advantage of the downtown location and went to walk around streets in the night time. I also went on a jungle safari and elephant ride from the hotel. They have a guide named Som who is super nice and he will make sure that you don’t miss the subtleties of the forest. The food was delicious, the property was clean and the overall ambience was nice. Overall, I had a great experience at Travelers Jungle Camp. Won't hold back to visit once again.
food was great

We had some lovely days at Travelleres Jungle Camp. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The safaris were all very well organized and we saw lots of animals, even rhinos. I got a cold and the owner‘s daughter who is a pediatric doctor looked after me and gave me medication. That was also really helpful and nice!
Good location and the staff is really nice. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast is also good.
The mattress can be better (a little bit too soft).
good location for stay
The cleanliness of the room could be better
