This is a very special place to stay near Sigiriya. There is a lovely pool to relax by where you are immersed in Sri Lankan nature, with monkeys swinging from the trees above and lots of birds around. We loved relaxing by the pool after our morning/early afternoon activities. The staff are absolutely exceptional- especially Nadul who made our stay extra special. He looked after us very well and made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our holiday. We also liked the comfortable bed, restaurant (order the Sri Lankan curry and rice), cocktails, free laundry service and tasty breakfast. The staff can organise any activity you would like to do. Would highly recommend!

Not much- but be prepared for lots of bugs and animals as you are in the heart of the jungle!

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich nett und aufmerksam. Schon bei unserer sehr frühen Ankunft wurde sofort alles möglich gemacht: Das Gepäck wurde übernommen und direkt ein Begrüßungsgetränk serviert. Das Frühstück punktet mit toller Auswahl und auch das Abendessen ist hervorragend zu fairen Preisen. Die angebotenen Touren haben ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Fahrer sind extrem freundlich – ein besonderes Danke an Lasantha! Man kümmert sich um alles, ohne einem etwas aufzuzwingen, sodass der Aufenthalt absolut stressfrei verläuft. Ein ohnehin schönes Hotel, das durch den großartigen Service nochmals aufgewertet wird.

Es gab absolut nichts zu bemängeln – rundum perfekt.

The pool and facilities were well maintained, there is a restaurant and bar within the property if you don’t prefer to leave the accommodation.

The only downside about the property is that you have to take transport to get around.

Nous avons tout aimé dans cet établissement : la chambre, la piscine, l’emplacement idéal, le restaurant.. tout était incroyable. Le personnel est très sympathique et disponible pour toutes nos questions. Mentions spéciales à Tushare et son acolyte (désolé nous n’avons pas retenu son prénom), et à Tamara qui ont été à nos petits soins durant notre séjour.

Le cadre naturel, la présence de singes dans le jardin, l’amabilité et la réactivité du personnel. La nourriture était également très bonne.

Le tarif de la navette aéroport - hôtel était trop cher

Die Mitarbeiter sind ausnahmslos alle immer freundlich und nett. Insbesondere diese herzliche Art hat unseren Aufenthalt einzigartig gemacht. Der Pool,eingebettet im Grünen ist super schön und zu jeder Tageszeit angenehm. Das gesamte Hotel inkl. Restaurant, Küche und die Anlage ist extrem sauber. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, was für uns jedoch kein Problem war, da wir unser eigenes Tuktuk hatten und wir haben den schönen Garten sehr genossen.

Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant ist lecker. Einzig das Buffet konnte da nicht ganz mithalten.

Todo el personal es encantador y super atento. Las habitaciones e instalaciones están muy cuidadas y limpias. Es cierto que está algo alejado (en esta zona todos los alojamientos lo están, no hay grandes núcleos urbanos) pero se ofrecen a organizarte todo, lo que lo hace muy cómodo. Nosotros hicimos todas las comidas y cenas allí (en su restaurante todo está rico y bien de precio) y las excursiones también nos las organizaron con precios cerrados.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und alle sind super freundlich. Unser Highlight war es am Pool zu liegen und den Affen beim spielen zuzuschauen.

Die Preise im Restaurant sind etwas hoch

Overall, it was a good stay with the very helpful staff providing excellent service at all times. Located off the main road amidst a forested patch where elephants roam around in evening hours. The room balcony, pool and restaurant has nice comfortable sitting spaces for relaxing.

Food options at the in-house restaurant are limited with not much variety. Given that there are no decent places to eat nearby within a walking distance, it can be an issue.

Der Manager war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit guter Qualiät, vor allem das Sri Lankische. Anliegen wurden schnell bearbeitet. Der Pool war schön gelegen und hatte genügend Sonnenliegen. Berücksichtigt werden muss, dass dieses Hotel in der Natur liegt und dadurch Affen versuchen, die Klinke zum Zimmer zu öffnen, überall herum springen und auch etwas Lärm machen. Ameisen sind ebenso Bewohner des Zimmers. Das Hotel es ist außerhalb von Sigiriya und deshalb sehr ruhig gelegen. Ohne Taxi/Auto ist es nur schwierig zu erreichen.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption wirkten etwas unmotiviert und waren viel mit ihrem Handy beschäftigt.

Mooie, nette ruime kamer, fijn terras, leuk zwembad, heerlijke ontbijt en ‘s avonds ook lekker eten. Iets verder gelegen van het centrum, maar daardoor heel rustig en perfect om van hieruit de omgeving te ontdekken. Je kan er je was doen. Super handig

Essendo la struttura situata in una strada secondaria, risulta più difficile trovare taxi o tuk tuk per Sigiriya (circa 10-15 min di strada). La struttura offre tuttavia a 1200 lkr la possibilità di chiamare dei tuk tuk di fiducia con 15 min di preavviso. La struttura offre molte attività e tour extra, che vengono ripetutamente proposte agli ospiti, tuttavia i prezzi risultano molto alti rispetto alla media.

Lovely location surrounded by wildlife. Big rooms, very clean with good air conditioning. The staff are all excellent, always willing to help. The hotel provided a full list of trips and available activities and arranged all transport for us with local drivers and very good prices. Restaurant service was very good and a good choice at breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

De rust, je hebt ook echt het idee dat je buiten de drukte midden in de natuur zit. Het is kleinschalig maar wel met alle voorzieningen die je maar wenst. Het personeel van het restaurant en met name Thusara zorgden dat niets ons ontbrak. Het eten is lekker en veel mogelijkheden voor zowel ontbijt als diner.

De dames van de receptie waren niet echt klantgericht eerder arrogant. Een erg grote tegenstelling tot de rest. Warm water in de ochtend was zeldzaam. Soms had je in de middag geluk.

Super hôtel qui porte bien son nom, au milieu de la nature. Nous avons eu l'immense chance d'avoir un éléphant en train de pâturer au bord de l'hôtel et par chance à côté de notre chambre. Le restaurant est également très bon et le personnel vraiment aux petits soins avec nous.

The people were extremely friendly and they helped us immediately with everything. the room was clean, the pool and the terrace are very nice and quiet. Totally recommend!

There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom from time to time.

Sehr freundliches Personal, wunderschöne, ruhige Lage im Dschungel und gutes Frühstück/Abendessen. Zimmer bequem und sauber. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff are lovely, particularly the young men who always had a smile on their faces. The breakfast was great! And we loved watching the naughty monkeys!

Struttura situata a pochi km dalle attrazioni principali. Camere molto spaziose e pulite, letto grande e comodo. Possibilità di cenare in struttura, prezzi più alti della media ma buona scelta. Staff disponibile a organizzare gite / spostamenti. Consigliato il centro massaggi convenzionato con la struttura :)

The personnel was amazing, very friendly. The room was very clean and the location was very convenient.

I had an accident in the swimming pool, which was extremely slippery and thus, quite dangerous. I talked to the manager who agreed I was right and promised to take measures, such as putting holding handles or at least a "caution, slippery marble steps" sign.

Eigenlijk beviel alles! Paar fijne stoelen om op te zitten bij de kamer buiten zou prettiger zijn geweest. Maar die zijn we nog bijna nergens tegen gekomen. Er stonden wel twee stoelen maar hard en niet echt fijn. En een douchecabine ontbrak. Daardoor badkamer na het douchen helemaal nat…. Maar dat is ook alles. We zouden dit zeker aanraden!!

Hôtel coup de coeur au milieu de la jungle. L'équipe est formidable et aux petits soins pour vous. La piscine est très agréable. On vous donne accès à la machine à laver de l'hôtel, ce qui est très appréciable pour laver son linge ! Tout était absolument parfait.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, beautiful garden with great swimming pool. Great place if you want to visit Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa etc, and you want to be able to relax in or at a swimming pool. I would recommend to families. One evening, an Elephant visited the hotel (at the fence) and the staff called everybody to come and watch the elephant. Very cool!

Le lieu est magnifique, isolé en pleine nature. Le personnel adorable. La nourriture (petit-déjeuners et dîners) délicieuse. La piscine très agréable.

Le Wi-Fi est instable, les chambres sont assez sombres (grande baie vitrée devant).

Landschaftlich wunderbar gelegen, etwas außerhalb, wirklich „in der Wildnis“, herrlich ruhig, eine erholsame Oase. Man braucht ein Fahrzeug, nachts sind wilde Elefanten in der Nähe. Es ist aber kein Problem, ein Tuktuk über das Hotel zu organisieren. Ausgesprochen freundliches Team, das sich umsichtig kümmert und dabei auch noch gute Laune hat! Der Chef hat uns sehr bei der Organisation von Ausflügen und Fahrten geholfen.

Tutto molto turistico, dall' accoglienza, gentile ma forzata. Al fatto che i servizi offerti sono molto più cari rispetto a pick me per esempio. Nelle mie esperienze precedenti, nelle guest house, l'aiuto all' ospite consisteva anche nel fornire un servizio più economico. Colazione molto turistica

Nice pool, cute little temple nearby (friendly staff guided us there), possibility of seeing elephants near the property, large room. The kids loved the ping pong table.

At night you need a taxi or tuktuk to leave the property (risk of elephants). Costs only 1 or 2 dollars to nearby restaurants though. We had a large cockroach in our bathroom.

De locatie is iets buiten Sigiriya gelegen, maar omdat wij zelf tuks hadden gehuurd, was dat voor ons geen probleem. De locatie is supermooi gelegen. Wij hebben er een heerlijk verblijf gehad en genoten van de rust, het zwembad en de omgeving. Op de laatste avond werd het kampvuur nog aangestoken voor de kids en konden ze marshmallows roosteren.

Hotellet ligger lidt væk fra vejen midt i junglen. Det er velholdt, og værelserne er store og komfortable. Det er skønt at slappe af ved poolen. Servicen er upåklagelig, og alle var hjælpsomme, smilende og venlige. Restauranten er overraskende god - omend den naturligvis er marginalt dyrere end de små alternativer i lokalområdet. Vi valgte at spise flere af vores måltider på hotellet - simpelthen fordi det var nemt og godt. De serverer også gode drinks. Hotellet ligger i perfekt afstand til Sigiriya-klippen og elefantsafari ved Minneriya. Hotellet har tidligere fået dårlige anmeldelser pga. langsomt WiFi, men der er installeret et nyt system, som fungerer upåklageligt.

This was a fantastic hotel, the pool and grounds are incredible and the rooms are very large, clean and quiet. There is a nice restaurant area where you can play games, and an area for a fire pit and a tree house. Lovely setting with wildlife and monkeys around the property. Really incredible value for money as slightly out of town but you can visit the small Sigiriya village which is just a short tuk tuk away. (You can order one easily to the property). We also loved Lassie the hotels Tuk Tuk driver, who also took us on a bike ride through the countryside and was knowledgeable about wildlife. We booked to go to the rocks with Lassie, who drove us and picked us up and we detoured into town so we could eat lunch & dinner. Overall a great 3 nights at the start of the trip and we highly recommended Pidurangula rock at sunset!

The food was okay at the restaurant- could be better. Recommend eating dinner in town one night. You could feel a bit cut off / isolated but just order a tuk tuk to get around. The hotel is amazing value, pool was beautiful and great for families. Our kids loved the dogs who were very friendly.

Le service au restaurant est un petit peu long.

Mooi zwembad met grote ruime kamers die op verzoek werden schoongemaakt. Goed werkende airco en rustig gelegen. Bij het restaurant kon je echt wel lekker eten. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk, altijd bereid om te helpen. De wifi werkte overal zeer goed We zouden zeker terugkomen!

Niet iedereen van het bedienend personeel sprak of verstond goed Engels.

Great stay at Into the Wild - rooms are large for Sri Lanka and very clean, beds super comfy, nice pool area and the hotel is located in the middle of the wild. Very peaceful and the staff is very helpful in arranging all trips and attractions around Sigiriya. Would definitely stay there again!

Honesty nothing - it’s a bit further away to the town so you need a tuk tuk ride of 10 minutes to get to the street with all restaurants etc.

We asked for a early breakfast but got only 1 small sandwich and 1 sandwich with jam and butter. No juice at all. Even though breakfast is included. Not enough as a breakfast. Other things are good.

De vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van het personeel. Een hele fijne en relaxte plek om te verblijven met een heerlijk zwembad waar je tot 22.30 uur in mag zwemmen. Hele fijne douches en mooie kamers.

Spacious well equipped rooms and bathrooms (including good toiletries). Very efficient AC Great facilities and grounds. Lovely pool, small but clean with small spa area. Plenty of loungers,swings seats and hammocks on garden. Table tennis table, carrom and other games a nice touch for families. Lovely helpful staff. Next to untouched forest..so you will see monkeys and possibly elephants nearby.

No light at bottom of the stairs. Noisy metal cover at top of stairwell could be heard rattling at night. Buffet option expensive at $10 but other food good. Only a sheet on the bed, gets a bit cold with aircon. Up an unmade track and sign from road very faint, we missed it.

Le check out et un peu tot (10:30), et donc le dernier jour nous n’avons pu profiter de la piscine car ils etaient en train de la nettoyer alors qu’elle est normalement utilisable dès 8:30. La nourriture n’est pas dingue est un peu chère car affichée en dollars

Heerlijk verblijf in een prachtige groene omgeving. Het personeel was geweldig behulpzaam en vriendelijk voor ons en onze vierjarige zoon. Het zwembad was geweldig ontspannend in een prachtig kader. Het ontbijt was zeer lekker en uitgebreid. Absoluut een aanrader.

De locatie was wat afgelegen. Dat maakt het heerlijk rustig maar de verplaatsingen naar restaurants of bezienswaardigheden worden wel wat langer. We konden tijdens ons volledige verblijf wel gebruik maken van een fijne tuktuk chauffeur.

Le personnel est très prévenant et agréable. Le petit-déjeuner est bon et nous avons mangé au restaurant de l’hôtel qui était également bon et frais. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres. La piscine est aussi grande. Il y’a des singes partout :)

A little room for improvements here and there.For example the bathrooms could use of some glass or curtain to refrain the water from splashing everywhere.

Clean and modern rooms, nice pool and food. Staff were helpful.

A safe would be nice. There are two large dogs on the property, which wasn’t for us, but I know others may love this.

Un de nos plus beaux séjours au Sri Lanka ! L’équipe est adorable ! La piscine et sa cabane en bois sont géniales. L’hôtel se trouve en pleine nature, très reposant. Possibilité de dîner le soir. J’ai adoré ma ballade en vélo dans la campagne avec Akash ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !
