Excellent food, hearty breakfast and delicious dinner. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room and bed comfy. We have stayed before and will stay again.
Nothing!
Clean and well situated for where we wanted to be
Didn’t dislike anything
Lovely place to stay out of the way but adds to its charm and can easily get a taxi.
My only thing is there could have been a bigger variety of breakfast but wouldn’t stop me going back.
Well presented comfortable bedrooms. Restaurant was great for dinner and a nice breakfast too
Either recently built or refurbished to a high standard.
Room nice, clean and fresh. Nice location. Good breakfast and that it is included in the price is a massive bonus. Bed is so comfy so thats the most important.
The blinds in the room. Not good for keeping the room dark, think they should be the pull down blinds like in the corridor leading to the rooms. Shower head needs a bit of an extra clean. Wardrobe cupboard was cluttered on the shelf.
Property was found to be very clean, Our room Ercall had every think needed for short stay, bathroom was very well appointed, clean and more than adequate, bar and restaurant area are excellent, having spent 45year in the construction trade I was well pleased with the high standards of finish in all the alteration work which as been done in converting this old inn into an welcoming hotel. Tracey head of house is most welcoming, serving up a tasteful breakfast in the restaurant in the morning as-well as tending to the bedrooms , 5 start member of staff, didn’t get to talk to other staff other than to say hello, We found them pleasant and welcoming. would highly recommend The Huntsman and hopefully will visit again soon.
Nothing , if I was pushed to find and issue it would be the bathroom ceiling fan, it as seen its better days also overrun time is a little on the long side which may be and issue to other guests if as I did using the bathroom several times a night
le lieu est très calme. Nous avons pu prendre le repas le soir sur place. Nous l'avions signalé lors de la réservation. Le petit déjeuner était correct bien que des fruits à disposition auraient été appréciés.
Le matelas semblait usé et fatigué.
The breakfast was superb We had dinner and it was first class. All the staff we met were excellent. .
The only negative thing was that the bedroom was a bit on the small side.
Very attractive in a beautiful and quiet setting with a welcoming ambience
External decorative lighting affecting the bedroom
First visit back to the Huntsman after a few years, and great to see that everything is still exceptional! We enjoyed a 3 night stay, the room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and pillows and the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good albeit not a wide choice - full English, toast and cereal but it was well cooked and tasty. We opted to eat at the Huntsman each evening of our stay, they have an excellent menu and I can thoroughly recommend the rib eye steak, and fish and chips. The staff are lovely, especially the lady at breakfast each morning - she was so friendly and a credit to the hotel! The hotel is located in a beautiful village with nice walks nearby with the most stunning scenery, and within driving distance to visit places such as Ironbridge with its many museums, RAF Cosford museum, and a couple of National Trust houses and gardens.
We enjoyed everything!
Lovely meal in the restaurant, tidy / comfortable room, fan in cupboard which gave us some fresh air as it was a very warm day.
Honestly, had to eat earlier than expected in the restaurant as the guvnor told us no more orders for meals after 6:30pm? Pub closed at 9pm? The room was very warm, aircon would have been better than a fan (but at least there was a fan provided) Breakfast advertised between 07:30 to 09:00am, but the guvnor wanted to know exactly what time we'd be down as didn't want the chef in too early if we weren't coming down, took the spontaneous side out of our opportunity to lie in out of the equation a bit, don't be too despondent though, it is a nice place to stay.
Friendly staff who were really helpful and accommodating. Great food.
Lovely setting , food was was excellent! Staff were also excellent !
Nothing
The breakfast was excellent. Ordered the night before, it was well prepared and very tasty. The room had everything that we wanted, was spacious, had a very comfortable bed and a good view from the window. We had an evening meal which was excellent with great choices from the menu.
Nothing to write here.
Alles prima! Super Essen! Sehr gute Betten.
Nichts.
Everything- a fantastic place to stay
Absolutely nothing- it's the perfect location
Good tasty breakfast
The food is outstandingly good
Lovely setting in a quiet location, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room.
Perfect location for visiting any of the Ironbridge sites. It's a lovely village setting and very welcoming. The room was very clean and quiet with a comfortable bed . Breakfast is pre ordered and was superb . All the staff were lovely . We'll be back !
Nothing not to like .
Breakfast was great!!!! The room was very clean and comfortable.
Lights over the car park kept me awake until I adjusted the blinds, great for security though.
The pub is very comfortable and in a quiet location. An old run down pub has had a comprehensive makeover which is very successful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and breakfast the next morning.
Great location. Lovely quiet village. The room was very comfortable and clean so we had a good nights sleep. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall good value for money.
Nothing. All good.
Friendly welcome, good bedroom, good food and service
Everything Katie was very helpful and kind.
Nothing
Real ale on tap!
Tv reception poor.
Bed was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.
No fan or means of cooling the room apart from opening the window, which was above the outside sitting area.
Very nice room and facilities.
We had a heat wave and no air conditioning which is pretty normal for the UK. It would have been nice to have fans available.
All staff very good, pleasant, helpful, great
Nothing
Lovely pub in beautiful village. Comfortable bedroom with very comfy bed. Super TV and well appointed bathroom with excellent shower. Great breakfast. Had an evening meal which was delicious. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Our room got quite hot due to the direct sunlight. Although there were vertical blinds they weren’t that effective at blocking the sun.
Very welcoming. The hotel is clean and attractive. The bed and pillows were just the best. Never slept so well. Lots of small areas to have drinks. Night meal & breakfast were very good.
Nothing- well did wonder where the satnav was taking us
Everything. Some good all round, peaceful and relaxing. Staff fantastic and everywhere very clean. Food superb and reason.
Didn't book a longer break BUT we will be back.
Great stay in a lovely area Bedrooms gives the luxury feeling and breakfast super Staff very welcomimg we are both profoundly deaf they did their best to communcation so well done Hopefully be back again one day
This was a lovely place. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless as was the bar area and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect for an overnight stay when travelling into North Wales or exploring the Iron Gorge heritage site or Shrewsbury. Everything modern & clean at the hotel, and the staff especially friendly. Food very good.
The room was quite small with no desk for working on a laptop pc. The room was a little on the warm side even without the heating on.
Fabulous food, modern comfotable room, friendly helpful staff
Quiet and off the beaten track in a lovely small village provides a very relaxing stop
The location was good, rural but easy to find. Room was clean and comfortable, food was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
There was nothing we didn't like, everything was good.
We stayed on probably the hottest day of the year! The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful, especially Katie and at breakfast, Tracy. The room itself was nicely decorated and very clean and the shower was good. It was a comfortable double bed. We struggled to sleep, but only because of how hot it was, as the room is not air conditioned, but on a 'normal' night, we would have been very comfortable there. The cooked breakfast the following morning was good. The restaurant and bar area was nice and cool.
The only very minor piece of feedback was that the menu in the room to order breakfast the next day mentioned fresh fruit, but when we got down to breakfast the following morning, no fruit was available. Yoghurts would have been a nice addition too. We took our own fan with us, as we anticipated it was going to be hot. Perhaps on hot days, a fan could be offered in the rooms, given that there is no air conditioning? We would happily stay there again though.
The breakfast was excellent, were happy to switch up the breakfast. Would have liked fruit of some kind. the breakfast staff were very helpful and if we asked for anything they were very willing to help as much as possible.
The room was very warm, there was under floor heating which needed to be turned down, it would have been useful to have something in the room to suggest that.
Chocolate ice cream just ice with no flavour.
Very clean. Good location for Telford. Food and drink were good. Comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Might be a personal thing, but I found my room to be very warm.
Very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, peaceful location. Breakfast was fab. Lunch was delicious.
The sausages.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. All the staff we had contact with were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Dave, Katie, Karen and Millie, you particularly made it a special stay for us. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the food is exceptional. Well done to all the staff.
There is nothing not to like.
Very friendly and efficient. Good food and beer. Comfy room
Fantastic staff, extremely clean, dinner was excellent
It’s in a lovely peaceful location and the rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean. There were difficulties during my stay which was unfortunate, however beyond the hotels control. A storm has caused a power cut and the restaurant wasn’t available but the team said it if I wanted to order in they would supply me with plates, cutlery, etc. As a result the water also stopped working which was a consequence of the electricity issue. There was Intermittent power cuts too. The staff were all very apologetic, I wasn’t offered any compensation nor did I ask for any as on a whole I wasn’t badly affected as I needed an early night. I dare say others may of complained but I can’t comment on that. Breakfast was lovely the following morning as was the server who had great customer service. I want to stress while no ideal on this occasion it was all beyond the hotels control and I look forward to going back and having what i certain will be a perfect stay.
Lovely room, helpful and friendly staff, good food
Nothing
I know folks are suspicious of glowing reviews but this is defintely a hotel I would go back to. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Good room. Lovely location.
Lovely country inn, with a warm welcome. Everyone was very friendly & service for morning breakfast was excellent.

Lovely place, we were made very welcome. Accommodation and food were excellent.
Nothing
It was lovely! Super-friendly staff, lovely hotel, room was really nicely furnished - would recommend highly.
Nothing, it was fab!
Comfortable, clean, had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and efficient.
There were some loud people outside our bedroom window. Not the properties fault!
We had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable and had all we needed.. The food was great and the staff were excellent. A special shout out to Tracy, who looked after us at breakfast time - friendly, thoughtful and great service! Thank you!
A lovely breakfast, cooked to order. The staff throughout the property are always so welcoming. Quiet location
Unfortunately as I arrived on Mother's day the only menu was a 3 course meal.To be fair I was told this before so ate elsewhere that evening.
Evening staff were very friendly and food was good. If after somewhere to walk Wrekin then good but not a place for relaxing, see dislikes
Breakfast is too early, latest breakfast is 9am. Plus the checkout is too early at10am, especially since there are only 3 rooms and check-in is not until 4. We asked for an extra hour and we’re told no as they need to clean.when we left they had already cleaned a room so made no sense
Modern clean inn , staff professional and also friendly, nice restaurant well laid out , food served promptly, nicely presented and well cooked and good value. The room was clean, comfortable bed and the en-suite bathroom was more than adequate . Good parking, you would be hard pushed to find a better place to stay than the Huntsman Inn of Little Wenlock.
There was nothing to criticise with anything to do with this property .
Very comfortable stay with wonderful and welcoming staff.
Lovely country Inn, modern comfortable room, good restaurant
Breakfast
Nothing to dislike
Lovely clean bright room.. Lots of complimentary hot drinks in the room. Lovely bar area with tasty food. A lovely breakfast too
Very clean and well decorated throughout. Although only small you had everything you needed. Breakfast was excellent Staff really friendly and helpful Would certainly stay again if visiting Telford.
Found it really difficult to critique anything, the whole experience was just perfect. 10/10 Food (Breakfast/Bar/Restaurant) 10/10 Room (Space/Bed/Bathroom/TV) 10/10 Staff (Everyone) 10/10 Anything Else (Parking/Location/Building)
It was a work trip, and didn't share it with my better half.
Great spacious car park, warm welcome on arrival, lovely meal in the restaurant with really hot food, service matched the food, an open log fire to retire to, high standards of hygiene all round and comfy mattress and power shower the next morning .
We stayed in the Wrekin room and the width space between the beds and wall and bathroom were tight; overall it was fairly cosy… maybe a different room layout might create more space in the room.
Very nice breakfast, nicely cooked. Staff pleasant and helpful.
There was a very dirty big dog in the bar which settled down on one of the seats. Dogs should not be allowed inside an establishment serving food and drink.
Excellent
Nothing
Warm, comfortable, friendly, boutique gem- ideal location. Excellent bar and restaurant. Staff exceptionally friendly- always smiling, polite and personable.
Nothing!
Great location lovely view over the Wrekin Very comfortable room
Lovely pub
Nothing. I got there and my room had been given to someone else. Couldn't find anywhere else close by to stay so had to drive back to Mid Wales.
Everything. I got there and my room had been given to someone else. Couldn't find anywhere else close by to stay so had to drive back to Mid Wales.
Great people
Dirty bathroom
Nice location, 12 mins from Telford in the morning. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast and meals both days. .
My only comment would be the room was too hot despite the thermostat being all the way down meaning I left the sliding door to the Juliet balcony all night. For me personally the bed was too soft.
The breakfasts were lovely, the staff were very friendly, the room was excellent
Nothing
The room was spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The location was beautiful and perfect for a walk after a long drive.
Friendly helpful staff and facilities were great
The TV could be bigger - but overall the property is wonderful
The location was fantastic. Staff were attentive and the breakfast was very good quality.
The room did not have a desk so had to use a fold up table for working on the laptop. A bit rickety.
The property is in a beautiful location and has wonderful facilities. The staff were amazing and the food was superb. The evening of our stay we had a lovely meal in the restaurant which had great choices and was definitely value for money. The staff also did a lovely surprise for my son as it was his birthday, so we were very grateful. The breakfast the next morning was brilliant and it was freshly cooked. We had an amazing experience and hope to be back soon.
Nothing
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast
We had a lovely stay at the Huntsman where the staff made us feel very welcome.
Nice and clean, good quality furniture Good breakfast
The scented soap dispenser I would prefer a more neutral smell
We liked everything about the Huntsman.
The gravy with the steak pie could have been thicker. Everything else was great.
Staff all lovely without exception
Breakfast- fruit and yogurt would have been nice Had to choose night before reminded me of hospital! Variety packs very 1970s Sauces in squuzy sachets like Macdonalds Bread awful- tasteless
Nice friendly welcome from staff Room comfortable and warm. The Huntsman is charming and well presented with pleasing decor. Would certainly come book again
Only a tiny niggle Small area of sealant missing from bottom of shower which looked a little mouldy. Would not take many minutes to repair but would make a difference in finish of bathroom
Lovely location, friendly staff and clean
Room slightly small, but cosy.
The room was clean, beautiful, and had everything needed, bed very comfy Staff were very helpful and friendly
Nothing not to like
Beautiful property. Comfortable bed . Nice breakfast
