Love Drakensburg Sun been here plenty of times lovely them accommodating us on the ground floor with our outside patio. Beautiful scenic views from the room.

Sat at the bar service non existent Your whiskey Jameson tasted diluted like water and yes I am an only whisky drinker The bevaviour of staff poor not attentive to us visitors Your units are poor old school set up not upgraded in over 20 years Showers in baths are a thing of the past how do you cater for disabled or aged people

Its location and views , hiking trails - our last visit here was over 10 years ago so was nice to see some updates both internally and externally.

A vendor machine to buy snacks after 10h00 when room service is no longer available will be good.

It’s my first time booking there but it was absolutely a phenomenal experience. The staff were friendly and the porters were just as nice.

I can’t actually complain about anything

A fantastic stay,the staff from reception to breakfast, dinner, just everyone here is phenomenal. The food- you can taste the love put into the food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. We have been to many places in the berg but in my opinion Drakensburg sun is number 1. We will definitely return. The facilities and spa are wonderful.

Loved everything

The service was excellent. Staff are very friendly, attentive and willing to assist. Rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Certain facilities need improvement and repairs.

Location is great, facilities on the resort are amazing.

Accommodation is dated, the rooms could do with some much needed upgrading. Aircons don’t function well, a walk-in shower would be appreciated. The buffet standards have dropped since my last visit there about 3 years ago, wasn’t really good value for money this time around.

I believe this half board does not work for everyone cause the buffet was so bad, its either the meat is very dry and very few options for a buffet dinner. Seafood you get only calamari, vege is just raw mixed veges or dry roast potatoes, it was not easy especially for kids, now you have to order on the menu whilst you have paid for half board. It was so cold and sometimes your staff ignores you when you ask them to make fire in the fireplace. The rooms were cleaned after lunch, imagine in that cold you have to wait for room service when you get to the bar to wait the fireplace is off

Loved the breakfast menu and pastries. Loved the cleanliness and all the activities included.

The dinner menu at buffet was not up to standard on certain evenings. Food quality should be improved. There was not enough tea and milk given in the room . Certain chefs at breakfast who make the eggs were very rude and unprofessional. They didnt smile or greet when we spoke to them politely. Discrimination in this day is pathetic.

monkeys were a little inconvenient. I would hve liked to enjoy the outside patio of our suite. Due to the prblem with the windows and daws remaining closed, (monkey theft), ventilation of the bathroom is a problem.

We loved the location and the friendly staff - the fireplaces.

Menu: Limited dishes in both breakfast and dinner. Room: Bathroom is neat. Just the Shower curtain - need to make a walk-in shower.

El hotel es precioso, las habitaciones bastante amplias y la ducha funciona perfectamente. Todo el personal es muy amable y profesional, siempre con una sonrisa. El entorno es magnífico y hay varias rutas de senderismo para hacer. La comida también es excelente.

Everything was clean and comfortable, and the views are beautiful. The grounds are well kept. Facilities were great, the staff were exceptional, the food was divine (fantastic spread), and overall great value for money.

There was no need to leave the resort. Food, activities and entertainment were all available at the resort

When staying in the presidential suites (4th floor), other people have access to your balcony. Late at night they were outside (drunk), made a lot of noise whilst we tried to sleep. We also woke up early the next morning to watch the sunrise from our balcony and have a coffee while doing so, this could not be achieved as those individuals mentioned above stole our chairs

This is the perfect getaway. Easy access to the accommodation, staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly, rooms are clean and neat, food is exceptional with a variety. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended another night stay.

THE TV NEVER WORKED THE AIRCON SOUNDED LIKE A GENERATOR .HAD TO SWITCH IT OFF THE GUEST MANAGER THEO WAS NOT APOLOGETIC. KEPT ON SAYING WE HAVE NO ROOMS. I WAS OFFERED A ROOM DAY BEFORE CHECKOUT VERY FAR AWAY ON ANOTHER FLOOR. FOR A 70 YR OLD I WAS NOT GIVEN AN UPGRADE . FOR R6000 RAND A NIGHT IT WAS NOT TO MY SATISFACTION. THEO HAS NO GUEST COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

I thought the reviews about the food were exaggeration or overrated, oh my I was pleasantly proved wrong. The food is all that and them some 😋 and the cherry on top are the friendly chefs and staff. If anything, do go there for the food, LOL.

The overpriced alcohol. R120 for a single Hennesy VS was just off or made up in comparison to the price of the other alcoholic beverages and food. It just felt like a sin tax only or specifically for Hennesy drinkers.
