Not sure if we couldn’t find it but a hair dryer would of been nice. Road there is also not great but with SUV very easy.

Reviewed May 31, 2026I loved that the house afforded us enough privacy. It was clean and had all the listed amenities. It also came with a cleaning service which was lovely!
The heater in the bedroom wasn’t working but it was no train smash cause it wasn’t too cold, and the fire place was sufficient in keeping the entire house warm.

We loved everything, except the horrible road to get there. It is better to drive to Winterton and then drive to tranquility.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2025Wauw, wat een prachtige lokatie is dit om te verblijven. We hadden het huis met twee slaapkamers. Het huis was perfect. Heel schoon, ruim. Alle voorzieningen die we nodig hadden waren er. Het bed lag heerlijk. Openhaard was heel fijn. Er is hout voor een dag en voor een klein bedrag kun je hout bijkopen. De plek is idyllisch. Heel rustgevend en de uitzichten zijn prachtig. Het huis is goed bereikbaar vanuit Winterton. Iets meer dan 20 minuten rijden. Het ligt heel gunstig ten opzichte van Monks Cowl en Cathedral Peak park. En wat alles nog fijner maakte was de aanwezigheid van Sabatha. Een van de werknemers. Hij was zo behulpzaam en aardig. Niks. Het was perfect.

There are too many rules and regulations to keep in mind when you're supposed to be on a holiday. Ended up with a R600 surprise bill at the end of my stay.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025I absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere at Tranquility farm. It felt like we were completely off the grid, surrounded by be view of the drankensberg. The cottage was cozy, the fireplace was perfect for the chilly evenings.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025Property is fantastic and the staff are fantastic. Super attentive to every wants or need and very helpful. We had issues with the toilet running and they were quick to get a plumber in to repair it.
Being self catered, the knives were a little blunt and made cooking hard but that is my only complaint.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025We hadden het huis met 3 slaapkamers, wat een groot huis! Vooral de master bedroom is geweldig met de douches en het bad met uitzicht. Het huis is heel comfortabel, voor de kou hoef je niet bang te zijn. Er is een openhaard, lekkere douche, extra dekens, hele lekkere stoelen bij een grote tv en elektrische dekens in de bedden. De bedden waren erg comfortabel. De staff is geweldig, hele lieve vrouw die zelfs je afwas doet na het ontbijt (behalve op zondag). Contact met de eigenaar verliep ook goed. Ze stuurde s morgens een bericht met wat tips om te doen in de omgeving. (De canopy tour is een aanrader !)
Bij de advertentie stond dat er ook een wasmachine was, die hebben we niet gezien. Je kunt wel de was laten doen voor 150 rand. Het huis wordt ook door de eigenaren gebruikt, dus er staan veel persoonlijke items (veel glazen en servies etc) daarvoor voelde het een beetje alsof je op bezoek was ipv dat het voor verhuur is.

It is such a peaceful environment with beautiful scenic spots for coffee or champagne moments! Best to take as much Groceries as possible.. Looking forward to booking the Willow Cottage again for our next little breakaway!

We fell in love with all the farm animals, especially Gary the Donkey, Peter & Jelly the friendly cats, Delphi and Freddy the loving dogs. The cottage was clean, everything and more than we needed was in the cottage. We will be back. Thank you for an amazing much much-needed break-away.

It’s a farm stay, as explained by the host, high clearance vehicle is ideal however not needed as we just drove very slow.

The host was amazing and very helpful with assistance and providing all necessary information we needed. The staff are friendly and exceptional. The facilities at Tranquility Farm stays were exceptional, everything was spotless.
The power went out with no back up power to be able to cook, but returned shortly after so the wait wasn't too long.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2024We stayed in the Willow cottage for a week. The property is very homey and has everything you could need. Kitchen is fully equipped with crockery. The cottage is very private and peaceful. The owners have made a lot of effort to ensure you have everything you would need. Heaters in all rooms, electric blanket on the bed. Cupboard for clothing storage. Fireplace, hairdryer and extra blankets too. Home away from home. ♡
Just to note the property makes use of borehole water, as this is a farm, there is a bit of a smell when you first open the taps. But this subsides. Other than that everything is great!

House is in impeccable condition, homey and equip with everything you need for a short or long stay. The VIEWS are dreamy and relaxing! Ample space and amenities to relax while not feeling like you’re in a guesthouse! Location is close to lots of fun outings and activities and hosts are very attentive. Our family’s go-to for Drakensberg getaways!

The owners really went all out with making sure the property is to its best. This is where we would always stay. The pictures being advertised for this property doesn't do justice it's exceptionally beautiful. The owners are extremely sweet, understanding, pleasant and well spoken. Exceptionally pleased with this gem.
