Super comfy bed, excellent breakfast and friendly

We paid extra for breakfast, which was excellent and the general facilities at the hotel were very good . The drawing room and other options were great . The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very easy journey to Caernarfon and surrounding areas .

I recently stayed with my mum the hosts were amazing and so was the hotel I will be coming back here time and time again. The place is absolutely stunning. Can't wait to have a reason to come back hahah

Very comfortable, good value for money and very well kept

Host was hospitable. Bed is comfortable. Lounges are big. Breakfast was good too. Big car park and allowed our car to stay there even after we check out. Location is good not far from Snowdon 30 minutes travel by car. We will go back there.😉

Beautiful house and furnishings, very comfortable and lots of room to relax in, away from the hustle and bustle. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a very good night’s sleep.

It needed a little maintenance. The chandelier in our room needed fixing to the ceiling. The tv wouldn’t tune in properly but we didn’t say anything to the host.

Everything was wonderful, our room was lovely and comfortable, it even had a 4 poster bed. Everywhere was furnished in period pieces. l loved the fact you could enjoy the spacious rooms downstairs

The breakfast was beyond belief. Aside from an ala carte breakfast menu there was a full continental breakfast offering. The guest house was furnished with wonderful period pieces. A lovely experiance.

It's a little gem, it feels like you're in a Bridgerton movie. The house is very British chic, bringing you back in time to make you feel like high society but with modern amenities. The bathroom was large and with a lavish bath. The lady that greeted us was very friendly and attentive.

That we only booked one night before going on a trail, we will definitely come back to stay for more.

The host was very friendly and welcoming. Catering for a gluten free breakfast was not a problem and very accommodating.

The bathroom was old and the toilet cistern was badly maintained and in need of repair. The bath and taps/shower fitting badly need updating.

Staff was brilliant & the grounds of the property were really nice & clean.

Man kann selbst entscheiden, ob man für 15 GBP pro Person das Frühstück in der Orangerie haben möchte. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig. In 8 min zu Fuß ist ein Pub mit gutem Essen.

Absolutely beautiful property, full of old Welsh charm. A lovely warm welcome from the owner, who was so helpful and kind. Icing on the cake was an upgrade to the suite, absolutely stunning. Beautiful surroundings, I could have stayed there forever

There was nothing not to like about our stay, other than we'd like to have stayed another night or two. Hostess Lillian was so welcoming and friendly, the property itself, in the very best of ways, was like stepping back in time. Classic interior decor, a wonderfully spacious room, the most comfortable four-poster bed, a delicious filling breakfast... We stayed somewhere on Anglesey the day after, for slightly more money and it was so, so sterile by comparison. Too clean, too modern, too small and too expensive. Oh for a 2nd night at Meifod... We knew that the shower in the bathroom was handheld only, so that wasn't an issue for us at all but could be for some. As long as you read the reviews, you'll be fine 🙂 Absolutely loved our night here and I hope you like it as much as we did.

Really pleasant stay, beautiful house in quiet location, very friendly owner who gave us a free upgrade. Go to the local pub and enjoy listening to the lively conversations in Welsh

The property itself was lovely, grounds a big and we did have a look round. It’s a very relaxed environment.

The floor boards were really creaky so woke me up when someone went to the loo in the night. It was a hot night so possibly a fan for the room would be a good addition.

Was a last minute retreat as first place was booked by booking by accident and was out of service. Perfect replacement for us, lovely place and the room was beautiful. Comfiest bath I've come across, bed was Comfortable too. Host was lovely too which was an added bonus. Will be back in future.

Lovely traditional house. Very good facilities to enjoy; social areas and gardens. Great environment to chill in. Lilian the owner is so lovely and friendly and can’t do enough for you. We are looking forward to returning.

Exceptional property. Feels like youve gone back a 100 years. Absolutely beautiful furniture and rooms. Super polite staff and an honest bar concept(which is hard to find these days). Overall very peaceful stay.

The bathrooms dont have an overhead shower. So youre stuck with a hand held shower (which I guess is part of the old theme of the house). The problem I faced with the handheld shower was that the water temprature wasnt consistent and you constantly had to play around with the taps to get it right.

We had the MOST wonderful relaxing stay here, it was easy to find. So peaceful and quiet. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. The staff were attentive and helpful. We felt so welcome and relaxed. The room was presented wonderfully and felt really special, being able to use the downstairs room with the open fire was also a treat we weren't expecting. We cant wait to come back!:)

Not just a big standard non discrip box hotel but a home with character and full of interesting artefact’s. Gorgeous roaring log fires and warm welcome and generous hospitality.

The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and very reasonable priced. The staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable. I the property was very charming.

Dragging bags up stairs was a bit difficult.

The room and property in general was beautifully and traditionally decorated.

Beautifully decorated with lots of effort put in with small details such as candles lit around various rooms making it unbelievably cozy in the evening/night time. The staff were also very friendly and their breakfast in the morning was brilliant with good quality ingredients.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

Only thing that made it very disappointing was there was no shower only one on the tap but we had no curtain very disappointing . We wouldn’t have been able to get out the bath if we had had one . That’s the only thing that has put us off going back .

Comfortable bedroom, downstairs lounges had lots of character.

Love the individual decor that was interesting and had no bland corporate vibe sucking life out of it. Loved the honesty box bar. Nice rooms to lounge in when not wanting to be in the rooms.

The only thing stopping us putting a ten was the Web site quoting different prices for breakfast. It was 15 pounds each which we were more than happy to pay as it was really nice.
