The bed lice. Booked a family.room and discovered bedlice. It was late 11.30pm and immediately called the property owner. Told us she has had this problem and had.locked.other.rooms to contain the spread. We.slept in a damp lobby that night. She.promisd.me a full refund and I never received it. Not very sincere and stay.there at your own peril.

Great reception but a better confirmation email would have speared her hanging about. Point out which door should be used.

Wifi explanation: it took me until midnight to work out which router to use and the passkey. The pubs nearby could have been a problem in hot summer but weren't for me.

This hostel is the central part of Caernarfon, so it is close to the castle, to all the restaurants, to Menai Strait, etc. Su is a great host and when I found bed bugs, she took a really great care of me - she picked me up in the middle of the night and took me to her other location in Bangor, she washed all of my clothes and steamed all of my other stuff.

Shared kitchen was quite filthy. I couldn't find any clean dishes. They were washed, but there was some weird film on them. Also there wasn't much space to wash it properly, so that was probably the reason. Also tables weren't clean and the floor was sticky. Rooms looked quite clean, but at the same time it felt unclean. But than I unfortunately found bed bugs in my bed. So that was probably that unclen feeling.

Su was an incredibly welcoming host! The bunkhouse is tidy, comfy and has all you need for a great stay. It's right in the city center with plenty to keep you occupied. The decor of the place is amazing, someone clearly has arranged it with a lot of care and passion.

Weird receptionist in evening, told .e breakfast at 10am? Also no odyssey yelling you much about any ities. Life music? No way ! Commercial tunes playing at downstairs bar. Ery Weird atmosphere. Ended with a pig snoring loud all night and stinky....not worthy at all !!! Avoid this sh.t hole ! And I travelled around a lot for 20 years ! Rip off

The room was really small, smelly and warm, the window could open only a little and the only way to have some ventilation was a noisy fan that has gone on the whole night. My mattress was old and ruined and I could feel every spring, which made my night extremely uncomfortable. There were no shelves either in the room or the bathroom, and my plug was broken so could not recharge my devices overnight. The toilet was dirty and the sinks were in the corridor with no privacy at all. Some guests were let into the room later than midnight, all the lights were turned on when we were sleeping and they were extremelly disrespectful and loud throughout the whole night. No one has done anything about it so that it was absolutelly impossible to sleep. Honestly the only good thing was the shower but everything else was absolutely below standards of decency and the place definitely does not worth 38 pounds per night (I wouldnt give them not even 10!). I will never go back again and I would not recommend it at all.

What a lovely location. I’ve stayed in a few places over the years in Caernarfon but this property is definitely my favourite. We had room number 5 so we were situated in the roof. With two large skylight windows we had stunning views of the surrounding Menai Straights/Anglesey and across Caernarfon. Both sofas in the main room pulled out as 1 single bed and a double bed, plus we had an extra bedroom with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, providing plenty of sleeping arrangements for us all. We also had a microwave, full size fridge, a very large flatscreen TV, cutlery and plates, and an ensuite bathroom with a pretty big shower, so we literally had everything we could possibly want. I feel the room far exceeded any hotel room I’ve stayed in over the years and was far cheaper. The property is situated a 1 minute walk from Caernarfon Castle and a 4 minute walk from the local bus station. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Caernarfon. 5⭐️’s all day long.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, it was a last-minute booking with two in need kids , and both loved it . We booked the family room. Would absolutely book again. The are is in also amazing close to all amenities .

The location is great. It’s in the castle walls and a short walk away from the waterfront and the bus stops. The bunks are nice and clean and have plugs and lights in them. The cafe and bar are cool too.

I can understand why they do this but it’s something to note. The showers are the type where you have to keep pressing the button, and no temp control but it was a good default temp. The room I was in had a sticky latch so sometimes it wouldn’t lock properly unless you fiddled with it a bit.

Cooked breakfast would of been preferred but continental breakfast was ok

The accommodation is quite clean. The showers are shared, with two on each floor, and the toilets are separate. The dormitory rooms have a total of 8 beds and can be arranged as male or female only. Inside the room, there are both fans and heaters, but no hairdryer is provided. The room rate includes breakfast, which usually consists of bread, jam, milk, coffee, cornflakes, and yogurt. The hotel is conveniently located, not far from the castle, Iceland, and Asda, with many restaurants around the area.

You can hear noises from the surrounding rooms, like people talking or doors opening, but I didn’t find it too disturbing.

I've stayed here before. Su and her sraff are always very helpful. Not a full English breakfast but a perfect breakfast if you're going walking for the day. Bar down stairs with a good choice of well kept beers, cocktails, etc. Perfecr location. Near the rrain staton and the bus station. A perfect base for getting around Snowdonia by bus.

The location is perfect for the airport. The room was clean, everything worked, and the plumbing was excellent. The staff were truly exceptional: friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything from luggage to local advice. The atmosphere felt warm and almost family-like.

We found it really hard to locate signage could be better but that honestly is the smallest of things.

Great location and lovely staff

The room was roasting (not the hostels fault more so the heatwave and 2 people in the room came in around 2:30am and turned on all the lights. Again not the hostels fault. A wee curtain over the beds would be nice for privacy.

Lovely staff, atmosphere, facilities clean and tidy, beds were comfy, with individual lights and charging points. Gluten free bread and cereal at breakfast. If you have a "normal" diet, you would love the simple, but plentiful continental breakfast.

No designated parking, but I was lucky with finding a post 6pm place nearby. All the jams and spreads were in sharing jars, which is a little difficult on the cross contamination front for coeliacs, but I never expect special treatment. Storage space for bags was at a premium

Continental style breakfast spread very comprehensive; more than adequate to start the day. I felt the setup in the breakfast room was very welcoming.

Sadly, Caernarfon revellers returning to the dorm at 1:30 am made for a sleepless night. Note to self: avoid Saturday nights! Albeit staff were friendly and the breakfast very good, £48 is a lot to pay for a totally sleepless night spent sheltering in my car because there was no common room accessible to escape a noisy dorm.

This is really a guest house. It is branded as an inn with private rooms. There is one family room that is ok, and this is what we got, but the vibe, atmosphere, and facilities are suitable for a guest house and not an inn for family with children. Breakfast is quite poor.

Sus was so lovely and helpful also her sister was very polite aswell. The family room was amazing so much space and lots of things available to use. I would definitely go back when we go again.

Su was such a sweet host. Her bar in the basement with live music is awesome 👌. The bed was clean, and the common areas were also very well maintained. Thanks, Su, for helping in getting my ear pods, which stuck between the radiator gap 😊

Bit of a Squeeze in the bunk beds but that's Hostals for ya. Worth going just for the food
