The hotel has a lot of heritage. Located within the castle walls on a quiet street. The superior room I stayed in is a very spacious en-suite, decorated tremendously, very clean and the bed was super comfy and so big!

Room was very clean and comfortable, with various complimentary food and drinks. The room had a lovely sea view and the hotel's location within the city walls was impressive. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall a fantastic stay.

I like everything . Hosts were very welcoming, room very clean and had all equipment we needed, location very nice. Also free parking permits were provided by the hotel .

Spa bath could have a handlers as to get out from the bath was a bit tricky as slippery. But this is just suggestion, not as I don't like.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Everything was provided in the room even down to ear plugs and eye masks and everywhere was beautifully clean and fresh.

Fantastic location inside the castle walls and a short walk to all the major attractions in Caenarfon. Victoria House is well appointed - we had a lovely spacious room with a very nice en suite bathroom and lots of natural iight. The tea and coffee facilities were generously stocked. Beds were very comfortable and importantly given the heatwave conditions in Wales, we had a really efficient fan in the room to keep us cool. Jan, our host, was very welcoming and went out of her way to help us with local advice.

The only thing we didn’t like was the perennial challenge of parking (we had been given an upgrade to a larger SUV rental car which made parking and driving around small roads difficult, but we always found a park within 100m of our accommodation). Victoria House do provide vouchers to ensure you can park for free nearby. There are also the usual challenges of getting bookings for restaurants in the core of Caenarfon - it’s a popular town mid summer and so we soon learned to book well ahead!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. I used to work in luxury hotels and ran a small one myself, so my standards are pretty high. Not only are the rooms spotlessly clean but they're also spacious, comfortable and with a large number of amenities. The house has everything you can ask for, with a great deal of attention to detail and guest experience. The views from the courtyard are mind-blowing. Everyone is really nice, and Jan, the owner is one of the best hosts I've ever met. On the plus side, if you are a dog lover, Oscar and Honey will love to meet you. They are so adorable! Thanks a lot for everything, Jan. 🫶🏽

There's nothing to not like!!

Everything was absolutely fabulous!! The room was lovely and one could feel that the owner put a lot of thought into making guests feel comfortable. There was a welcome drink, a microwave, hand lotion and everything you could think of for a perfect stay. The owner even helped us with our laundry. It was a 100% feel-good stay in a fantastic room in an absolutely picturesque town! I highly recommend staying with Jan & her team!

La chambre était très confortable, assez grande pour ne pas se marcher dessus, très bien équipée (frigo, micro-onde, bouilloire). Janet nous a très bien renseigné sur les activités à faire autour et dans Caernarfon pendant notre séjour et nous a laissé des guides informatifs des sites d'intérêt. Il y avait aussi des attentions très sympathiques à notre arrivée. Enfin, même s'il n'y a pas se parking accolé, Janet nous a prêté une carte pour nous garer dans un parking originellement payant. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et nous remercions la propriétaire et son neveu pour leur accueil

The bed was softer than we are used to.

Jan is an excellent host. Full of helpful information, and complimentary drinks on arrival! The house is within the old Caernavon Castle walls, & has a small garden courtyard leading to the castle wall itself. Parking permits for on street parking were supplied. First stay in a four poster bed for many years :)

Host Jan was fabulous and made sure we were comfortable. Supplied a giant fan to cope in the heat and checked in on us. Room was superb. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay! The host was warm, friendly and responsive, check-in was seamless, and everything was spotless and exceeded expectations. The location is perfect too - plenty to see and do right on the doorstep. Great value for money. Thanks again - we'll definitely be back!

Just one downside - no parking directly at the property, though nearby options are suggested and you can stop briefly outside to check in and drop off luggage.

Terrific location and a lovely traditional room. Our host was very accommodating and even gave me a birthday treat.

Parking can be problematic but residential passes were a big help.

Jan was a superb host. The room was perfect and had a lot of little extra touches. We had a very comfortable stay close to the centre of Caernarfon and next to the castle.

This is our second visit as we love the location and Caernarfon is so beautiful. The parking permits make it so easy to park and Jan is a wonderful host. The room facilities are very good with the microwave and fridge being a bonus. We will definitely be visiting again next year.

La vue depuis le mini salon extérieur aménagé sur le mur d'enceinte est exceptionnelle au coucher du soleil. Grande CH & beaux volumes. SdB avec "jacuzzi" Le droit de place de parking dans la rue est appréciable.

The room was lovely and spacious. Location was great. Jan, the host, was lovely and very helpful.

Street parking wasn't available when we arrived during afternoon rush hour, so the hostess went with us to show us a convenient public parking area nearby and then walked with us back to her establishment. She then gave us a map of the town and a parking permit to put in the car to allow us to park on the street in front when a space opened up (which it did later). Along the way, she pointed out local eateries and gave us her recommendations.

Our host, Jan was very accommodating and even carried our bag to our room. The position of the property was excellent, being right adjacent to the castle and the High Street. We were able to park our car very close to the accommodation and Jan was able to give us parking vouchers so we could park for free.

Very little that we didn't like, however we weren't used to the firm bed.

The location of the property is ideal. Just a very short walk to the castle, local bus transport and the nearest pub. Check in was very easy. My room had a lovely sea view. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with complimentary drinks and snacks. The overall feel of the house was very friendly. Jan, the owner, was always available to help with any queries. She was brilliant

Cannot fault the accomodation

Jan was so warm, kind and welcoming, she even carried my suitcase two flights of stairs up to the room as if it weighed no more than a feather…! The room (king superior) was huge… massive bed, spa bathroom and lovely touches like snacks and chilled drinks. Located on the Castle walls, there is nothing you could want for by staying here to explore Caernarfon and beyond. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night.

I will return - travel a lot with work and not many i will go back to. Usually stay in the big hotels but had no availability - this came up and gave it a try - yes will be back here.

Jan was an exceptional host. She made us feel welcome and had thought of everything. The room was clean and comfortable, and was as the description/photos show. A welcome drink was provided which was a really nice touch. Jan also sorted parking for us and provided recommendations on where to eat. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

A really lovely house with loads of character right in the heart of Caernarfon, inside the castle walls. Jan was very helpful and provided me with a parking permit as well as a complimentary bottle of beer. The room was great value for money, with microwave, fridge and sea views.

Great location in the center of historic town, close to Snowdonia. Superb room decoration.

Christmas decorations were magical and in keeping with the period of the accommodation. Room accommodation was large, plenty of space to move around, plush, clean and comfortable. Jan and her ‘team’ are welcoming, kind and extremely helpful. Not very often do you find customer service at this exceptionally high level. Da iawn nhw.
