Фантастически красивая вилла с необычным дизайном. До моря 2-3 минуты пешком, до главной торговой улицы - минут 5-7 пешком. Очень добрые и отзывчивые сотрудники и особая благодарность за оказанное внимание владельцу виллы🤝 На вилле есть генератор, так что отключения электроэнергии не страшны (весь посёлок во тьме, кроме нас). Завтрак - небольшой (учитывая размер виллы) шведский стол, каждый день новое, включая свежие и сладкие фрукты. Кофе из профессиональной кофемашины, включая молочные: латте, капучино. В общем, если хотите жить на самой красивой вилле в Унаватуне - вам сюда👌

Красивый отель, очень приветливый и внимательный персонал. Хорошие завтраки, отличный бассейн. Море в трёх минутах ходьбы, рядом магазины, рестораны. Бесплатный трансфер на другие пляжи. Спасибо за теплый приём и приготовленный для нас ужин.

Owner Sumit personally welcomed us to the property, room was clean and comfortable in a beautiful property. Fantastic spread for breakfast daily and Sumit was always on hand to help with anything we needed. 1 minute walk to the beach and restaurants so very convenient.

Чудесная вилла, расположение шикарное, пляж через дорогу. Рядом местные магазинчики, главная улочка Унаватуны в пешей доступности. Отдельно отмечу персонал. Помогают со всеми вопросами, если надо куда-то отвезти, помогают добраться. Очень тихо и спокойно. Бассейн идеально подходит для деток. Безопасно! На окнах решетки,что хорошо. На территории есть камеры и охрана. Кондиционер в номере есть, интернет работает идеально, грузит и фильмы, и звонки. Никаких проблем. Благодарю это место за чудесный прием🪷🙏🏻

Ребенку не совсем было что кушать на завтрак, но это особенность острова, еда своеобразная. Комнатки совсем небольшие, мы жили с дочкой вдвоем, в целом ок. Но если два взрослых, возможно, будет не хватать пространства.

Отдых в этой гостинице оставил самые приятные впечатления. Очень удобное расположение — буквально несколько минут до пляжа, поэтому можно в любое время наслаждаться морем и прогулками по берегу. В гостинице царит по-настоящему домашняя и уютная атмосфера. Чувствуешь себя не просто гостем, а как будто приехал в гости к хорошим друзьям. Персонал очень приветливый, внимательный и всегда готов помочь — благодаря этому отдых становится ещё более комфортным. Номера чистые и аккуратные, всё необходимое для проживания есть. Отдельно хочется отметить спокойную и приятную обстановку, которая отлично подходит для отдыха и восстановления сил. С удовольствием остановлюсь здесь снова и с уверенностью могу рекомендовать эту гостиницу всем, кто ищет уютное место рядом с пляжем и тёплый, душевный приём.

We had a fabulous stay at Ridee Villa. The team looking after us were kind and friendly, we felt very much at home from the moment we arrived. I had a massage during my stay which was amazing! We were particularly impressed in how the staff went above and beyond when our daughter got sick, taking us twice to a local medical centre. Besides that, the breakfast was great and we loved the pool. Super close to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend to anyone visiting Unawatuna!

The tiles around the pool weren’t non slip so my daughter had a couple of falls but this was minor in the scheme of things!

Owner was lovely and very helpful. Would stay again gladly

We had a wonderful stay at Ridee Villa! The owner and staff were friendly, helpful and hard working! The owner had said to make ourselves at home while staying there and it really did seem like a home away from home! We were greeted with cool hand towels and a cold beverage. The breakfast was delicious and a tasty variety of dishes were provided each day! Plus, the option of a made to order omelette. The Villa is on a busy road near shops and restaurants, steps from the beach, but it feels like a secluded little oasis, with beautiful gardens to wonder, coy fish, several little sitting areas to relax in and a gorgeous pool area! There are two kitchen areas to make coffee, tea or a snack. We were so happy to have a water cooler to fill up our water bottles, instead of using numerous plastic disposable bottles. We had a spacious, comfortable room with a large bathroom, with lots of hot water. The decor was tastefully done, with attention to detail everywhere you looked. We would love to stay there again. All the staff were amazing. You were met with a cold towel, a drink and a welcome sign. The owner was so lovely he arranged for us to go to Galle in his Landrover and also to Turtle Beach. The pool was lovely and peaceful. The breakfasts were very good with an ever changing selection each day and an egg station. The artwork is fantastic and so much effort has been put out in to making this a very special boutique hotel. We had 2 VIP rooms which gave us access to a full kitchen and our own balcony area. The owner has pet squirrels which is lovely and great fun as they are little characters. The beach is just the other side of the road with loads of beach bars, restaurants etc so very convenient.

It was right on the main road which was very noisy so as others have suggested get a room at the rear off the property.

The hotel is very pretty and the staff is courteous. They have a very good buffet breakfast so make sure you take that option. Very close to the beach and provide tours if you are interested

After having traveled across sri lanka, I think the room price is a little high. Granted there are free tours and excellent facilities but the room size and the general small boutique villa outlook makes it slightly expensive for the price. I was willing to pay it but others might not be

We had a great stay at Ridee Villa. From the moment we arrived we received the warmest greeting from Sumith and his team, they gave us a welcome drink, cold towels and flowers. They really know how to provide great service and all the small touches like providing beach and pool towels, free sightseeing tours in their Land Rover and a warm welcome each morning at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and we loved having eggs/omelettes made for us. Location was perfect for exploring the South Coast (beach across the road) and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend 😁

I genuinely have nothing I didn’t like.

Although we had to cancel our booking that we did personally, the manager and his staff showed a kind understanding and invited us for a fresh juice. They walked us through the property and it looked a high level boutique hotel with a huge personal feels like home touch. I especially valued that they maxed the potential of its colonial style so tge guest could feel like a traveller a century ago.

We were sorry for we could not spend more time here.

Eine tolle Villa in einem mächenhaftem Garten und grosszügigem Pool. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und der Kaffee ist ein Traum. Es werden gratis Touren angeboten und man fühlt sich wohl. Für den Strand stehen gratis Strandtücher zur Verfügung. Eine offene Küche mit grossem Kühlschrank und Herd kann frei benutzt werden.

Wir haben ein Doppel -und ein Dreibettzimmer gebucht. Erhalten haben wir zwei Doppelzimmer für 5 Erwachsene. Wir sind flexibel, doch ein Entgegenkommen haben wir eigentlich schon erwartet. Die angrenzende Hauptstrasse ist relative laut.

Amazing Villa! Clean and stylish. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location near to the beach (2 min walk). Tasty breakfast. Nice swimming pool and garden. Perfect to make morning yoga. VIP room in 2nd floor is perfect and bath tub is very big and comfortable

The host and is wonderful team will make your stay a great one. The hotel itself has a generous amount of space available for guests. You can take a short walk to the beach or relax at the hotel.

The decor of this hotel is lovely. Clearly see that the property has had a lot of money spent , furniture and artwork.

On arrival was allocated a room which I can only describe as a prison cell . Tiny and dark no outside space. The cleaning could be improved. Towels by pool area where dirty and I suggest have been used by previous guests then re rolled up for the next day. Breakfast poor standard. General staff need training food hygiene. Made to pay full cost of our stay, halfway through our 5 day stay. Garden area to rear unused and unkept. Hotel tired and needs TLC. It has been once a very grand accommodation sadly not now.

When I arrived there were faeces in my toilet And two dirty mats in my bathroom It’s very noisy and I was kept awake till late by the other guests. The neighbours next door washed at a tap outside my window at 6.40 am everyday

Ridee Villa is perfectly located , so close to restaurants the beach ,shops etc The hotel staff are invaluable they go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience.. the security guard is also super helpful .. breakfast is nice and simple .. eggs any style and fresh bread and fruits as well as a mixture of other things .. our room was superb too !

Personal was really extraordinarily nice, friendly and always helpful. The pool was great. For breakfast there was always a large selection of fruit, vegetables and always a new selection of various goodies. It was just a few steps to the nearest beach and also the town. True, with the need of little dramatic crossing over a busy road. (Although the hotel is located on busy road, we havent heard single sound in our room. The room was really quiet, clean, nice smelling, airconditioned).

Don’t expect much from kitchens. There are not really for some big cooking. More warming food, occasionally making tea or coffee. But there is so many fantastic and cheap restaurants around, no need to cook.

- can improve a little bit on cleanliness - the neighbours had a party one night and kept us up all night ( not the villa s fault)

Location via Lonely Planet book on Sri Lanka was slightly deceiving. Was made to sound that this residence was on a beach - which it isn't. Is close by but on a busy main road that needs crossing before the beach. Little bit of 'hard sell' for us to use their transport and taxi services which we didn't want or need.

The service was exceptional. Sumi and the team went above and beyond to accomdate us. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again when returning to Unawatuna. Their hospitality extended to dropping us off and picking us up from beaches throughout the day, and a freshly made smoothie at the accommodation waiting for us when we returned.

So we loved everything about this place The only thing they that would have improved my stay would be a slightly better poolside area( although they don’t have the room) And a bar and general seating area would be nice

Good room and great decoration of the villa. Also they have free tours every day (fixed time, only 1 way except Galle) which is nice. Very good breakfast.

Basically the location which we know it’s not their fault, all Unawatuna is crowded with russians and honestly it was the worst city we visited in Sri Lanka. The beach in front is not very good, nearby restaurants are overly expensive. Also, it would be nice to be able to use the pool after 18:00h

We were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Sumith and his team were wonderful and the chef served a wonderful breakfast and we had the best Sri Lanka curry whilst there. The hotel is so close to the beach, towels and mats are provided. The swimming pool was perfect for us, clean and relaxing, free rides to local beaches and Galle were available and the hotel is beautiful with interesting artefacts. The highlight was to meet Sumith's family and hear his niece serenade us. THANK YOU

Fantastic staff and tremendous quality of service. The property is decorated with a bunch of beautiful Sri Lankan artworks, and the owner cares deeply about the happiness of his guests.

We enjoyed breakfast and appreciated the host's use of his jeep to drop us into Galle. The hosts could not do enough for you, with the chef preparing a special dinner for us.

I loved everything! We had a warm reception from the owner who made us feel at home. Everything was well thought to the detail. I would do it all over again. The chef was exceptional, the food was prepared with love and care. I couldn't ask for more, so happy to be in this hotel, totally recommend.

It is a small, very personal, owner-managed boutique hotel. The owner and a very large number of staff try to make the guests as comfortable as possible. There are lots of art objects of all kinds everywhere, especially sculptures. The hotel is only separated from the wide beach by a "normal" road (unfortunately also very busy at night). The breakfast is typical of the country, not European, which we found pleasant. You shouldn't expect European standards for water pressure (shower) either - but you are in a great exotic country. In any case, the luxurious individuality, the daily warm welcome of every guest and much more should be emphasized.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner family. We had 2 deluxe rooms opposite each other at front of hotel. Rooms very clean, comfortable, AC very good. Offered a snack menu on arrival, quite pricey but it’s freshly made and delicious and we needed lunch. Very attentive at all times, we had a guided tour of the gardens & pool. Extensive Breakfast selection for all tastes. Best coffee. Omelette cooked freshly as required. We popped back from the beach for a few minutes one day to pick up my mum and were immediately offered a cold drink. Lovely touch. Towels for the pool and towels & mats for the beach in a beach bag. The beach is just over the main road, we walked through another hotel restaurant on the beach and used their beds and seating as we bought drinks from them. 3 days of rest and relaxation. Thank you.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The location, whilst on a main road, was very convenient and we heard little road noise. The pool is secluded and refreshingly cool. The complementary Tuk Tuk and Jeep to Turtle and Jungle Beach were very much appreciated.

Two areas of concern: 1. We were asked on the 3rd day to move rooms. At first we were told it was an upgrade, which we declined, then we were asked to move to accommodate a “priority guest”. Having spent $396 USD, paid in advance, we were quite surprised to be moved to a smaller, downgraded room. 2. Not a fault of the hotel but be aware on Saturday(s) there was/is a very loud beach party across the road. The music went on until 6am and made sleep impossible. We left as soon as we could check out.

Service was outstanding. The family running the place are so lovely and make you feel at home right away. There is a lot of thought and detail put into the customer experience. Location is great. Close to beach and easy to walk to everything. The free morning shuttle to turtle or jungle beach is a great addition. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool is nice and big and a great spot to chill out. Recommend!

Bed is a little squeaky but that is very minor

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, they always went above and beyond. The pool was good & the gardens were beautiful. The evening dinner was delicious. The free things that are included are handy (beach towels, beach mats, jeep service, free juice etc).

The hotel is very overpriced!!! I don’t feel it is worth the money whatsoever or a 4 star hotel. The bedrooms are very outdated and are in need of some money put in to them to make them more up to date. The shower was either FREEZING cold or BOILING hot, there was no in between and they turn the hot water off at certain times of the day, which should not be done. The WiFi would sometimes turn off which was an inconvenience.

Maybe it because of low season but breakfast looked poor. But everything that were available was nice. Nice pool, you can use kitchen to cook some local food by yourself.

Most of public spaces in the hotel was not available. You can see BBQ place on photos but it was unavailable too as well as both bars.

Absolutely flawless. Sumith (owner) and his staff are so so very welcoming and incredibly helpfull. They really care for their guests and go way above and beyond to please and help. A stones throw from the beech. Super clean, great air con, quality towels and bedding fabulous and plentiful breakfast. Will be returning when next in Unawatuna. Just the best. Vintage cars looked to be functioning on website but not the case. Would have been a fantastic touch. Jeep and tuk tuk transport to beaches was a brilliant addition however.

Good location, great beach and many restaurants near to the hotel, 5 min walk to Unawatuna tourist street. Hotel was very clean, friendly staff.

It is a nice guest house with private swimmingpool and rooftop garden. Summit was very hospitable. It was noisy for us because of the road but we had no problems with cancellation and moving to another hotel. But backpackers will definitely find a lot of advantages - such as several kitchens, so you can cook your favorite food and there is an alco market near by and the cheapest fruit market in the area. Also Summit can organize a free transfer to different beaches.

Amazing! Great buffet breakfast, 5 mins walk from the beach, very clean with pool and garden, very accommodating staff. The owner, Sumith, is just amazing. He was very attentive and kind and really went the extra mile. I wanted to try woodapple fruit, and he specifically included it in the breakfast the next day. He provides transport to the beaches nearby and talks with you as a friend. I felt like home. I would not hesitate to stay again. Best Hotel in sri lanka 🇱🇰 👌 😍 Thank you so much.
