Clean and easy to get to essentially when the download festival was on
Property was ok
Didnt have breakfast thought location was good
We have stayed at this hotel many times the Hotel and the Staff are First Class
The overall package which included breakfast and evening meal was excellent value for money and it did not come with any compromises in quality and quantity of food. The staff were also very friendly and responsive to any of our needs
Nothing that springs to mind
Very convenient for the motorway. Good breakfast and charming staff.
Dingy decor c 1960 vibe a d the curtains needed rehanging.
Had dinner and breakfast, which was included in the price. Dinner was a 3-course meal from the set menu, very filling and delicious. Breakfast was decent, with enough options, but pricey if you paid separately.
Wet friendly helpful staff
The staff were amazing - particularly Mandy. When we mentioned that our room didn't have an teabags, she had a bag of essentials for the room waiting for us.
We asked for a room with a bath, which we got. However I think that all the baths in the hotel are very short in length, so I was unable to have a good soak! The room smelled of damp.
The location, easy to find just off. Junction 25 of the M1, and surrounded by trees. The very friendly and helpful staff(with 1 exception). The excellent very full breakfast.
The staff exception was the hotel receptionist; when I asked for a room as close as possible to reception, because of my impaired mobility, we were allocated just about the furthest room away - requiring a long and painful walk with 2 sticks down a flight of stairs and hundreds of yards of corridors. The rather cramped room was not designed for people with mobility problems; I was unable to have a shower because there was nothing to hold on in the cubicle. WE couldn't get the TV to work. Finaly, the bed was not big enough for 2 adults - would have preferred a King size bed.
ora de la care se poate lua micul dejun- super!!! ptr cei care vin din alta tara, diferenta de fus orar e parte din rutina.
The staff working both Friday and saturday in the evening where exceptional. Food quality was nice. If ever visiting Nottingham derby area would always stay here.
Location was ideal for us, the food was tasty, staff very attentive
Toilet/shower area was a bit tight, no shampoo available and only one pack of biscuits for two people staying.
The little touches for my dog, excellent room with the extra bed, breakfast was delicious. Staff as always very polite and attentive.

Friendly staff, lovely evening meal and great breakfast.
There is nothing we didn’t like about our stay - all good!
Not good
Breakfast was good as I received my poached eggs in good time. Staff were excellent and easy going. Location was excellent as it was only 15 minutes fron Donnington Park and just off the motorway.
All good 👍
The food was excellent
The long corridors to the room, not so good with people of limited mobilty
Extremely convenient location , clean and comfortable, had EV charging
Breakfast was understaffed - not all food options were available up at a busy time eg bacon and egg’s presumably because enough staff weren’t free to keep them topped up. The onsite EV chargers are new and plentiful but unintuitive - we and fellow EV chargers had to call up the provider for support.
Great location
Everything
The atmosphere and welcoming stuff
Room was clean but there was a strange smell. Beds were clean. AC was very effective. Room was quite small and ensuite was very small. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable.
Room and ensuite were very worn and old. Not very comfortable in general.
The most friendly staff ever!
No kettle in room.
Clean room, nice bathroom, good breakfast (if a little expensive)
Room was very small (you could touch both walls from either side of the bed)
Location was good - close to M1 and A52. Breakfast was okay, good choice and helpful staff, but rather over-priced. Air conditioning worked well and was useful for the hot nights during our stay.
Room was quite a long walk from reception, decor was a bit tired and jaded and the room was on the very small side (only about 450mm each side of the double bed).
Helpful, friendly reception staff. Room in quiet area of hotel. Comfortable and clean.
Very small shower room. (However it was well equipped and everything worked fine so no complaints.)
Location.
Cleanliness. Tattered room, broken bathroom fan, broken lamp, mouldy bathroom ceiling, strong mildew smell in bathroom, brown smears on door, brown stains all over curtains. I came for the Download weekend, paid over £800 and only had my bed made once, there was no cleaning done, tea facilities not replaced all weekend. Do you not bother because it was the download festival weekend? Well, I paid an extortionate price and received very little basic service. I’m 45 years old, not my first Holiday Inn stay, and felt like a second class guest in a dirty room.
We were at a family wedding in Nottingham and this was a convenient stay over. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast and the carvery made it good value for money .
Initially our room key didn’t work and the bedding for the sofa bed was not in the room. The staff were very quick to sort both issues.
Very friendly welcome. Room was clean and quiet.
Very tired and dated. Room was tatty and very much in need of new carpets and redecoration.
Staff were very friendly and helpful Bar/restaurant area was really nice and open until 1am over the festival weekend Room was a good size and if you needed anything extra reception were happy to help/provide You can order Starbucks coffee at the bar which was great for the early morning starts
Breakfast wasn’t great- we ordered it to our room and it was wrong each time. Might have been better if we went to the restaurant but we stayed at this hotel last year and done the same thing and we had no issues back then. So maybe it’s just hit or miss.
good breakfast. friendly staff over all at the bar, restaurant and receptions
Bathroom sink was cracked. Room was very small.
Close to where we wanted to be, large clean room
Nothing to dislike everything was great
Received 2 parking tickets despite registration of car on arrival but staff sorted it out when I contacted them
Clean room with a mini fridge. Not much soap left in the dispenser but I had my own
Nothing
The room would have been a good size but had a big sofa bed in it as well as the bed. Everything was modern, comfortable and clean. Good breakfast with choice of continental or full breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good for us as we were going to a wedding in the area. There is a good bus service into Nottingham and Derby with a stop just a short distance from the hotel,
The bathroom was very small.
Very friendly staff comfortable room and very clean
The weather could have been better
Location, food and how dog friendly it was.

Very nice place. Staff very friendly and helpful couldn't fault them. Room was lovely and clean and was nice and cool for us when we arrived on a hot day. Breakfast service in the morning was brilliant. I would recommend staying here as its good value for money. Thank you again to all staff at the Holiday inn my family and I really enjoyed our stay
Great location for the wedding we were attending. Breakfast was lovely.
Rooms were dated & bathroom was extremely small.
Staff friendly and location was great for us
On first sight I was apprehensive as the outside is very dated. Inside the hotel, however, it is very bright, modern and clean. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. The bar was great and the breakfast was pretty good too. Every member of staff we met were fabulous - very friendly and helpful. I hadn’t expected it to be so good and I will definitely stay again when visiting local family.
We liked the friendly Manager on the night we arrived. He looked after us.
There is nothing we didn't like .
Easy to park
Nothing
It is spacious. Inside and out.
This place is a half way point for the journey to the north east, excellent stopping place and dogs allowed. We had a pizza each and we couldn't finish them not bad price absolutely Delicious
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in restaurant both were excellent. Sat outside with a drink on Saturday to enjoy the weather.
Only 2 of us in a family room but the bathroom was very small and only 1 person at a time could be in there. Not much walkway between the two beds so access was a bit cramped. Room was clean but looking a little tired. The entrance to the hotel site had the dreaded potholes which we did complain about as it went right across the one half of the road. Had stayed at this hotel before and was sad to see the difference in the room quality.
Lovely comfortable bed and pillows
Nothing
Location, and car parking great.
Room basic and a little tired looking. Food poor.
Staff are lovely. Everywhere is very clean.
Some hot breakfast items (sausages and beans) are very cheap. Having an adjoining room was not great - but that was put right for us. We weren't keen on the multiple face piercings on one of the reception staff.
Just as good if not better than when I stayed 59 years ago
Nothing
Clean Comfortable Bed & Room, Fridge & Brilliant All You Can Eat Buffet Breakfast.
Handy location
Tired surroundings
Nice and clean
The potholes by the car park
We did not have breakfast Bathroom was modern and clean with toiletries included. Towels provided. Room had central heating and was well equipped.
Property itself was tired and car park seriously in need of care. Lots of pot holes, large areas of road surface missing making it difficult to avoid areas that could potentially damage the car. The room was not adequately sound proofed meaning that noisy neighbours disturbed sleep.
The staff, especially the receptionist (Rebecca), who helped me with my reading for a funeral on the morrow.
The shower room was too small
Even though there was a system issue when we first arrived staff still found solutions around it and didn't keep us waiting at check in. Also very helpful when. We requested a. Late. Checkout at 5am
Location
Not enough or insufficient external lighting in car park
Good location just off the M1. Room was clean and tidy (if not a bit small for a double) food was sufficient for price. Was able to take breakfast away with me. Helpful staff. Fast car charging facilities on site.
Only staircase to get to room. Looked run down outside could do with some renovation. Terrible huge potholes in driveway. Not a great choice in menu for evening meals.
Heating didn’t work

Heating didn’t work in the room
Really friendly & helpful staff. Nice restaurant & breakfast. Rooms very clean & comfortable.
The exterior looked quite dated
Convenient to Nottingham. Pleasant staff.
Very small bathroom but adequate. Sofa in room needed a good hoovering.
Breakfast - excellent variety of fruits and pastries, cooked breakfast: impressed that the eggs cooked anyway you like, & I like omelettes and enjoyed a delicious cheese omelette, thanks to the obliging staff & chef. All staff very friendly and room and facilities warm and ultra clean. Excellent location- a short drive from Stanhope Arms Ilkeston offering great hospitality and excellent food.
Cannot fault it. Was my second visit here and I shall return.
All good lovely staff
Nothing
The location, cleanliness, comfort, food and very helpful and friendly staff. It is excellent value.

Ordered chips they wasn't cooked the nachos we ordered had hardly any topping the fan wasn't working in the bathroom no plug at side of the bed for my partners sleep.ap machine just having to complain all time glad was a one night stay
The lack of service, no bedding for sofa bed, phone in the room did not work, had to call 4 times from my phone to get a reply, they promised o come in and make the bed up, they didn't bother, then at midnight when we got back i could not find anyone to help, my daughter had the only bedding and I was freezing and did not sleep all night.
Good
Good breakfast. Bar/Restaurant Staff were brilliant
Site was a bit dated
Staff excellent breakfast very pleasant and enjoyable. Good choice
There wasn't anything I liked
Exceptionally clean room, comfy bed, air conditioned. Very quiet location. Great to have restaurant and bar on site as we were tired on arrival. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. Tea and coffee facilities in room.
The hotel looks dated but this is a budget hotel, the rooms have been redecorated and have modern bathrooms. Our standard room was quite small but ideal for an overnight stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was fresh and plentyful The restaurant served decent food at a keen price The staff were so helpful especially hannah when our air con broke during the night she brought us a fan and iced water while she fixed the air con which she did. Hannah is an absolute credit to the hotel
All was good here i have no negatives
