We had the private room next to the pool and it was nice. We only stayed one night, but if you stay longer it is perfect because of the pool. Very nice host that helps you with everything and is very friendly. Could park the tuktuk inside at night too. Also good breakfast for a very reasonable price. And close to the nice spots to eat in the city.

Perhaps we were just unlucky, but we didn't have a great experience. Our room (family of 4 - two young teens) smelt very musty - and the bathroom was just plain mouldy (everywhere). The weather was hot and the shower room had no ventilation. The bunk bed was a slab of concrete above the double - not a problem, but there was no guard to it at all, even at the head end, so it would have been a quick descent to the floor head first! The staff removed the mattress for us (the bed needed unscrewing to get it off) and made a bed up on the floor. However, no one got much sleep as the aircon didn't work - we are not hugely aircon people, preferring to use it sparingly, it at all, but given the weather, we did need to cool the room to get to sleep, and the unit just blew out warm air. We pointed these problems out to the Manager, who said he would investigate whilst we were out sightseeing the next day. When we got back he showed us the room and bathroom - which had clearly undergone considerable cleaning during the day - and the aircon unit, which had been mended, and suggested our comments had no basis. A shame as the location is good and pool is lovely. We booked this place as the reviews were good, so perhaps, as I say, we were just unlucky. Wouldn't recommend based on our experience though

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits. L'accueil a été très bien. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Piscine propre. Le restaurant est top pour les repas et le petit déjeuner ! Nous avons voyagé avec notre fille de 7 ans et on a passé un super séjour ici.

Great location, only 10 mins on tuk tuk to unesco site and can walk to nearby restaurants and lake, pool was very clean and welcomed dip after day of exploring. Family room was great with two bunks and two double beds.

Las toallas de la ducha no estaban todo lo limpias que deberian. El jefe es muy amable pero trato de colarnos un safari a Wilpattu por un precio más del doble de lo que terminamos pagando por nuestra cuenta. Las otras cosas muy bien. Hay animales que corren toda la noche entre el tejado y el techo de la habitación. No se si son roedores o de que se trata pero a veces parece que esten dentro.

La proximité avec le centre est un plus pour se promener et la piscine était très bien

Prachtig zwembad, goede ruime kamer. De uitstraling met alle planten en vissen is leuk.

Mijn Noodels zaten vol zwarte kleine beestjes. Safari geregeld via het hotel, was prijzig en wij hadden geen gelukg met onze gids. Spotte zelf niet één dier en zat vooral met zijn mond en neus in zijn sjaal en met zonnebril op. Na beklacht te hebbem gedaan bij het hotel kwam er weinig reactie op. Geen welgemeende excuses van het bedrijf dat de safari deed of een eventuele tegemoedkoming erg jammer. Dit is namelijk de duurste excursie die wij deden. Zelfs yala was goedkoper en dat was een geweldige ervaring en inclusief water, vers fruit en snacks.

Lovely place with very friendly and helpful staff. They arranged a tour with the TukTuk driver, Shami, very nice guy! The rooms and the swimmingpool are great. Very good place for what you pay.

Friendly staff, that were helpful when needed and did not try to sell trips, transport and other things when not asked for (but are very helpful when asked). Good location and spacious room. The food at the accommodation was tasty and had a good price/quality and there are plenty of options available. For breakfast I mostly recommend Sri Lanka breakfast. The fact that there is a pool is a plus as well. They also helped me out by keeping my luggage for a while after checkout so I could go see Mihintale (highly recommend) and come back before continuing traveling.

The pool had too much chlorine in it for me to enjoy, swimming goggles are advised (luckily i brought those) Nobody mentioned that you needed to 'reserve' Sri Lankan breakfast the evening before, even though I appreciate it that they still made me what was available! Ik dont know if there are towels available for the pool, but i just used my own.

Heerlijk hotel, dichtbij alles. Zijn super goed geholpen met ons verblijf. Kuma heeft ons mee genomen op een tour, veel vertelt en veel laten zien.

Een hele aardige eigenaar die twee tours heeft geregeld zodat we de highligts hebben bezocht. Ook goed het eten en zwembad was ook top.

Nou tegen viel het niet maar het stapelbed vonden wij iets te spannend dus heeft onze dochter bij ons geslapen

Echt alles. Onwijs vriendelijke meneer die altijd voor je klaar stond. Daarnaast prima ontbijt voor een super goede prijs, drankjes en lunch zijn ook echt top! De tour die ze aanbieden met de tuktuk door Anuradhapura is echt onwijs leuk, zeker aan te raden en spot goedkoop!! Zwembad onwijs fijn om even af te koelen!

Het ontvangst door de manager en personeel was uitstekend! Zo gastvrij en vriendelijk. We hebben een mooie rondleiding gehad via Kutumbaya met Kuma en partner! Terug hebben we heerlijk op terras gezeten en de vriendelijkheid van een ieder weer gezien!!

De gastheer Gamini is super vriendelijk en regelde voor ons een bezoek aan Mihintale en de tempeltour in Anuradhapura met Tuktuk driver Kuma. Hij zette ons af bij Mihintale en tegen dat we helemaal vanboven waren, waren we juist opt tijd voor de zonsopgang, echt prachtig! ‘s Middags gaf Kuma ons boeiende uitleg bij de tempels en over het Boedhisme, een aanrader! Ook het zwembad bij het verblijf is een groot pluspunt!

Mooie, nette en ruime kamer. Jammer dat er wat straatlawaai was.

Le logement est parfait, nous y avons été en famille et nous avons énormément apprécié la qualité du service, la gentillesse du personnel et la piscine. L hôtel est idéalement situe, proche des restaurants, des marchés et de la station de bus. La Chambre est climatisée et dispose de grande salle de bain, avec frigo disponible. Wi-Fi inclus avec excellent réseau. Je recommande à 100% cet endroit !

Het personeel was super lief en wou echt alles voor je doen. Ook de rondleiding door Anuradhapura van Kuma was echt een aanrader, heel leuk en leerzaam!

Small problem in the beds and there is low cocreate slab above the bed as a another upper bed and the person staying down bed is very dangerous to get up and sometimes not all the time it will effect when getting up in the down bedvery very dangerous i think if someone like me six footer will wake without knowledge will hit that slab will die. Please look in to that its very dangerous .

Le paiement par carte bancaire fonctionne aléatoirement.

Iedereen die hier werkt is super vriendelijk. De eigenaar Gamini is erg behulpzaam en denkt graag met je mee. Hij raadde een tour langs mooie tempels en de Mihintale aan, georganiseerd door Kuma. Dit was erg bijzonder en interessant.

We stayed at Kutumbaya as a group of 6 girls in our 20s as the first stop of our backpacking trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel was very good value for money with very clean rooms and bathrooms and all of the staff were friendly and attentive. We only stayed one night as we had other plans but would have happily stayed longer! The food was also great and large portion sizes of curry and rice.

Not a massive problem, just be aware that the showers have a partially covered roof so bugs can get in

Très bon accueil. L’hôte très disponible, il nous a arrangé toute la sortie safari à Wilpattu, la veille pour le lendemain matin. La piscine est un vrai plus, après les visites sous la chaleur. Lit très confortable. Petit frigo dans la chambre, qui est très appréciable. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Merci à l’équipe !

Gamini the manager was fantastic, arranging tours and making sure our stay was pleasant. Kuma our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, and took us to a few places off the usual circuit. Our room overlooked the pool, was comfortable, had plenty of hot water, Aircon and a fridge. There was a good choice for breakfast, and good restaurants in the area. The best but is the pool, much needed in 40°c.

De medewerkers waren erg behulpzaam. Ze regelden fietsen voor ons en een ontbijtpakket op de dag van onze safari. Het zwembad was leuk.

Onze kamer rook wat muf en het ontbijt was basic voor de prijs. Ook de ligplekken aan het zwembad kunnen eens een schoonmaakbeurt gebruiken.

Chambres sobres mais correctes. Le personnel était charmant et très à l'écoute et la piscine très appréciable au retour des excursions.

Clean comfortable room with a spacious bathroom. Having a nice pantry area in the room with a sink and tea/coffee making facilities. There are some snacks for a price if anyone wants a bite. Staff was ready to help. Have some nice restaurants close by.

Around 15mins drive to the sacred city. There was a small noise in the air conditioner.

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits dans cet hôtel et nous avons été très bien accueillis par le propriétaire et son équipe qui sont adorables. Ils proposent toutes sortes d’activités si vous le souhaitez (safari, guides etc) et est extrêmement arrangeant et attentionné. Ils nous a recommandé un guide pour le safari de Wilpattu exceptionnel et nous a préparé les petits déjeuners pour la journée. Les repas au restaurant sont également très bons et surtout très copieux. Merci beaucoup encore, nous avons adoré Anuradhapura !

De eigenaar is een "bruusk aardig" mannetje; hij komt misschien wat direct over, maar hij regelt alles ontzettend goed voor je. Zo was de tuktuk naar de tempels van Anuradhapura snel en betrouwbaar geregeld, wat ons veel uitzoekwerk bespaarde. De kamer was netjes en had een fijn uitzicht op het zwembad. Het was niet heel bijzonder of luxe, maar zeker goed genoeg voor een paar nachten in de stad. We hebben hier alleen ontbeten, en dat was een prima start van de dag. Een goede optie als je een functionele plek zoekt met een eigenaar die de weg weet.

L'isolation des chambres, à 6h30 dans le dortoir on entend que ça s'active et tape de partout de l'autre côté du mur, le matin est un peu bruyant

Properly was located in a very convenient place. Rooms and the toilet were well maintained. Especially property manager Mr.Gamini was super helpful and nice .

The room lacked of a cupboard to store the clothes. It would have been also convenient if there were hooks to hang in the toilet.

Hele goede locatie. Enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Er is een meneer die Engels kan, de rest doet wel enorm hun best. Bedden zijn heerlijk zacht. Mooie ruime badkamer. Zwembad is fijn. Echt een aanrader!!

Neem genoeg muggenspul mee. Personeel zet ook meteen een wierook bij je neer om de muggen weg te houden.

Good location, close to the new and old city center, clean room, lovely pool area and a very welcoming host that helps with everything you need. I absolutely recommend booking a full day Wilpattu safari with them and make sure to ask for Mirando (naturalist guide). He will show you so much wildlife that you would not have noticed with only a driver in the National Park. Would stay here again!

Eigenaar was super aardig. Regelde alles voor je als je iets nodig had. Ontbijt zat er niet bij. Kon je daar wel bestellen. Was prima.

Langs een erg luidruchtige weg. Dat hoorde je goed in de kamers. Veel licht naar binnen. Badkamer wat oud en vies. Douche was maar 2 minuten warm.
